:BM/RT: Gen's Recognition Day

I'm posting here my dear daughter's recognition ceremony. Gen has been so focused and devoted on her goals of returning to the top five of her class having lost it last year and been included only in the top ten of the class. She's a consistent honor since her preparatory school and last year's failure to be at the top five didn't put her down but instead gave her inspiration to study and persevere more.

On the last week of March all her efforts has been rewarded because she got the 4th place in her grade 5 section 1 class of more than 50 students. I'm proud of her not being on the top five but of her dedication and positive attitude that she can make it again to come back in her former place. I'm very happy and proud of her. God helped her achieve her goals.

An Award For You

This award came Nanay Belen, a new blogger friend. Thanks Belen for this nice and warm award! Truly appreciate this!

Belen's post about his son Joshua who is a singer in his church caught my attention. I think they're so close and sweet and I remember my own son who happens to have the same name as his son. My 4-year old son Josh as we fondly call him loves to sing also and I have this advance thinking that Josh will also be a musician and song leader someday in our fellowship. That's a very nice thought and I know God knows it.

Ruth's Farewell Party

It's the last day of school last March 28 and as PTA officer for the Grade 4 class section one Jannet and I agreed to allot the remaining funds to buy gifts for the top ten students of the class. Each honor's mommy was asked to cook something for the whole class food as blowout, Ruth wasn't in the list this year, she didn't made it this time breaking her records since she was in preparatory school. She's a consistent honor student from nursery, kinder,prep, grade one and two, she missed the top 5 in grade three but still included in the top ten roll. It's ok because her grades is still good enough. I don't want to put pressure on their studies, I just wanted them to be good in school. She's a quiet type of person and that affected her standing because teachers wanted a students that voluntarily answers and accepts responsibilities especially in the school program. One mother of the upper grade students told her to be active because intelligence is not enough to qualify students must be competitive in all aspects - recitations and participation in school activities. Oh well as long as my kids has good grades and happy I'm happy too! Anyway in their farewell party she was given the Most Polite award, five awards were given on that day, and she's just happy that she got that appreciation award. They had games, dancing, singing and of course a lot of eating lol!

Recognition Day

Gen was so happy and so are we because she got the second honor award in her grade 3 section one class for this year! Some decisions and final tally on their grades were made before it was finally declared. She's a very patient and smart kid and even though she's very shy that trait didn't blocked her capabilities of being in the honor roll. For six years starting from her nursery,kinder, prep, grade one and grade two she's been a consistent honor. Her ate Ruth missed the honor this year but I gave her congratulations also for the good grades that she's got. She got the Most Polite ribbon in her class. Here you can see Gen with me (got no professional photographer with me, just a shot from a friend), the second pic is with teacher Annie and the last shots with her siblings, ate Ruth and Josh (see the funny look in Josh pose lol!).
I thank God always for giving me such precious angels.

Extraordinary Blogger Award

Thank you so much Emzkie for this Award. For me all bloggers are extraordinary because we do some unusual things like staying up very late in the night, have a habit of jotting down every momentous times of their lives, and taking pictures always lol! My kids were always smiling at me whenever I picture an object, an occasion and especially them at their most beautiful and not so beautiful moments.
