My Party Hat

Last month we had our costume party for our company Christmas celebration and I’ve chosen a cowgirl costume for myself as I didn’t have time to ask my friend to sew me a Red Riding Hood costume. I know that making that costume would cost too much time and money so I turned on the other costume. It was rather easy for me to get and prepare the costume because my sister had it already on their last year’s party.

The costume clothes were ready before the needed accessories so I just bought a nice leather brown sandals and search for a cowgirl hat that would make me look like one. When I went to the nearest mall to our house I immediately found a nice hat which looks like Western Hats to me but I bought just the same. When my daughter saw what I bought she immediately love the hat and whispered that after the costume party she’ll take the hat. Actually before the party ends it’s her who is wearing the cowgirl hat because she likes it.

:WW - Spiderman Loves Ice Cream!

Sneaking in the corner with spiderweb behind him

Finally got tired of hiding in the corner & sat at the bench

Did you know that Spiderman loves to eat ice cream? Of course he's also human and so is his imitator here - my son Josh who loves ice cream to the max! He's lucky that he can now eat ice cream after his sickness last week.

He sports Spiderman costume here in St. Audry's Costume/Halloween Party. He's very excited since Monday and when a friend brought me this costume we had it repaired and fitted to him in about two hours. He has other costume in his cabinet but he wants to wear a different one this year, we just lend the costume to other kids because nowadays it's very expensive to buy a new costume which you will only use for one day. Anyway Josh also uses his super heroes costume when he's playing.

Happy wordless though I'm wordfull! visit more entries here.

Enjoying The Costume Party!

We’ve had a busy day as Josh had his costume party at their school. It’s a regular time schedule in the afternoon, actually one of the hottest afternoon this week. The school management was happy with the weather because their activity was a sure funny one but I was hoping earlier that the weather would be a little colder but without rains of course. The heat was killing us softly lol!

Anyway the kids were just as happy especially my little one who was very excited with the party. He was even chosen to join the first team of players in the game of bottle and straw. I was laughing while taking my shots because the kids seemed so confused with what they’re doing. Josh was slow in doing the game but was perfectly following the rules so no time was wasted. If you didn’t follow the rules you’ll go back so it’s better to do it slowly but surely.

As the boys were faster than girls and their costumes were much easier to handle than girls they won and Josh was beaming with pride lol! Start of the game and he has won already, he gave me his prize and returned to other games and party. Every now and then he asks me for drinks and food and when the game was over, he let me buy him his favorite – ice cream! Here's Josh and his friend Carl's picture while playing the game, more pics at my other blog!

Old Costume

Josh will be having a costume party this Friday. I searched for a costume pattern online and I’ve found the Harry Potter costume, a big cat costume and a pumpkin overall costume. All of them are cute and easy to follow by sewers. I’ve even planned on going to my friend to ask her to sew it for me but when I saw the school’s letter on parents I’ve changed my mind. The letter requests all parents to make use of old costume or just improvise something that will not cost a lot. This has been the rule of some schools these days as the economic situation of the country is getting harder.

As parents we want the best for our children to the point of spoiling them but sometimes we must weigh things up and balance our life. The school’s advice is right and I fumbled for my son’s costume last year which still looks new and fits him. He even played wearing it because as he told me he missed his Robin costume. I’m happy that I saved a lot this time.

The Red Tag (My Robin)

Thanks JoyD for tagging me. So here it goes . . . . Josh loves to wear his Robin costume....!!! He feels like he's always with Batman whenever he wears it. He likes Batman, Spiderman and Superman, actually he likes superheroes and all things associated with them - toys, replica, pillows and gadgets, This picture was taken last October during St. Audry's Halloween Party, one of his picture is with his classmates wearing Superman and Batman costume, all kids really loves superheroes!

I am tagging Geng, JennyR and Emzkie.

Here’s the rule:

1. Post YOUR photo wearing red, may it be a red top, bottom, the least would be red accessories if you hate wearing red… If you can’t find one, you still have an option…. Either post your Significant Other’s photo or your child’s photo, if you have one. Of course, they should be wearing red.

2. Let us know the reason why you were wearing red that particular day. Was it your birthday? Is red your fave color or was it the shirt that you first saw in your closet that day?

3. Tag 3 people close to your heart. By the way, they have to be in your blogroll. No cheating heart please!

4. Once you’re tagged, could we please keep it going - just for this month?
