Getting Back to Work After a Long Vacation

Now there comes another problem with coming back to work and it’s also the problem of many of my office mates now. We all gained weight during our long rest from work and we really need to get back in shape again if we want our clothes to fit us. I’m glad that someone helped me find a body shaper at Feelingirldress which I really need to use with my office clothes.

As your little one gets ready to take on their first true educational experiences in preschool and kindergarten, it is important to find the right fit. As you look at different types of schools, with some research, you will be sure to find the right one for your little one.

Types of Schools

Knowing Which Type is Right For You

As you begin to decipher which type of school is the best fit, it is important to evaluate your and your child’s needs. The school’s approach to child development, discipline and exploration should all align with your home life and personal philosophy. If you pick a lofty choice for the prestige alone, you are likely to have an ill-fitted match in the end.

Areas to Observe

As you look to select the best fit, schools will often present their best foot forward during presentations and visits. While they are there to support your child, they are often still functioning as businesses and need attendees to fund programs. As you assess the school during your visit, be observant of important areas that can give you a true sense of the fit and a true impression.

Additional Offerings

Selecting a school can be a big commitment, so make sure to take the time to evaluate all areas of the school. If they offer before and after programs, extracurricular opportunities and community engagement, these are all influential factors to pay attention to.

It is important to pick a preschool that best fits their and your needs while also challenging them and teaching them necessary skills, values and knowledge will set them up for the future. With this well-considered choice, you can know they are off to a successful start.

3 Social Elements of the Environmental Movement

The beginning of the modern environmental movement has often been associated with the publication of “Silent Spring” by Rachel Carson in 1962. The book highlighted the dangers of uncontrolled pesticide use. Disasters during that decade, like the Lake Erie Fire in 1969, galvanized public outrage into activism. Subsequent pressure on the government produced legislation like the Clean Air Act of 1970 and the Clean Water Act of 1972. Earth Day, nationally celebrated for the first time on April 22, 1970, helped catapult environmentalism to the national stage. Collectively, these events helped bring resources and attention to the task of protecting the biosphere.
Some outcomes from these efforts are evident today. Academic pursuits, political initiatives and grassroots activism, all centered on environmental issues are significant elements of society.

Environmentalism in Education

The environmental process engineering field of study has expanded beyond traditional roles like wastewater treatment to include planning for consumer product lifecycle sustainability. Engineers in this specialty routinely evaluate business initiatives to project and reduce impacts on the environment. They also propose alternative methods and techniques to minimize the carbon footprint of industrial processes.

Environmentalism in Politics

Established in 1970, the Environmental Protection Agency has grown and been granted a regulatory role. EPA regulations affect practically all human activities that might damage natural resources. Laws such as the Clean Air Act are regularly reviewed and adjusted to factor in the, formerly unaccounted for, value of resources.

Environmentalism in Culture

Activist organizations like the Environmental Defense Fund propose projects and raise funds to reverse past damages due to inadequate oversight. They also draw attention to activities they perceive as threats to natural resources and lobby the government for better laws.
From humble beginnings as a response to grievous pollution and disregard for natural resources, environmentalism has flourished. Regulations enabled by law have helped curb the abuse of natural resources. Universities are educating sharp young minds to address increasingly complex, interrelated environmental problems. Activism plays an important watchdog role, publicizing relevant issues and raising funds for important initiatives. These accomplishments and others indicate that this movement will likely continue to thrive ensuring conservation and protection of the environment into the future.

No-Sew Sachets

If you need a quick and easy party favor for a bridal shower, birthday party, bachelorette party, teacher gift or girls’ night out, think sweet. No-sew sachets filled with sweet-tasting candy or sweet-smelling potpourri look pretty and are simple to make without a lot of crafting experience.

Purchase Supplies

Head to the nearest art supply store Long Beach CA or in your hometown. You will need to purchase the following supplies: scalloped fabric scissors, a yard or two of beautiful sheer or lace fabric, and a couple of spools of thin satin ribbon. If you want to fill your sachets with aromatics, look for the dried flowers broken into the smallest pieces rather than the large decorative potpourri. An excellent option is dried lavender. If you would rather fill the little pouches with candy, something that won’t melt easily like pastel candy-covered almonds are nice.

Make a Pattern

Using a salad plate, trace a circle onto your lace fabric. With the scalloped scissors, cut just inside the line so the pen markings won’t show. Cut a piece of ribbon about 18 inches long. You may need to adjust this based on how large or small you want the bow.

Fill the Circle

Put about two tablespoons of lavender or candy in the center of the lace circle. You will have to experiment to get the perfect amount.

Close the Purse

Gather the edges of the fabric firmly around the center ingredients. Tie tightly with the ribbon. Satin ribbon is slippery so make sure to double tie it before making the bow. If you’re filling the little bag with candy, don’t make it so tight that it can’t be opened later.

It will probably take a few practice attempts before you have just the right size for each little pouch and your bow looks just the way you want it. Add a dab of hot glue onto the bow to hold it firmly in place. While you’re making this fun easy party favor, don’t forget to make a few extra for yourself.
