Deal With Your Problems

In life we encounter challenges and problems that give us anxiety and sometimes depression.  It’s a normal situation because the reality of life borders not just on the positive things but on the negative as well.  We appreciate the good things in life because we experience bad days.  You will never learn to value the wonderful things that God has done or blessed you when you didn’t experience living without it.  Hence you will not achieve happiness by merely losing your problems so stop pointing to it as the culprit of being unhappy.

You’ll be happy with your life if you learn to deal with the problems that make you sad.  You can also eliminate stress in your daily living if you take things slowly and try to realize that sometimes it’s only our high standards that’s giving us stress, that is if we can’t live up to it.  So if you want to achieve happiness live simply, don’t expect much and don’t run on your problem rather deal with it.  It also applies to me and I’m trying very hard.

What Does it Take to be Happy?

You know what it takes to be happy? It’s simple; you don’t need to have a promising career, a Porsche, a luxurious villa in exclusive villages, a beautiful wife or a gorgeous husband, a fat bank account and other material things. The secret of happiness lies within a deeper perception in life. We tried many things, do everything we can, slaved ourselves to work very hard but still happiness is far from us.

Try these simple things in your life and you’ll find peace and happiness. Free your heart from hatred, if you have enemies or someone who has done bad deeds on you let God revenge for you. Free your mind from worries, it’s normal to worry a little about something but don’t make it ruin your day and your life. Live simply, be satisfied with what you have, it’s nice to dream but make sure you’ll not be depressed if dreams won’t come true. Give more and expect less. You’re lucky if you’re the one who has the capabilities to give than you being the one who need assistance. Simple isn’t it? Follow this guidelines and make God the center of your life and I’m pretty sure you’ll be HAPPY.

Start Making Better Choices

Sometimes when our life is in low peak and we’re in deep misery we blame others for making our life such a failure.  We always point the accusing finger to others and never take a moment to sit down and think hard where we’ve gone wrong.  Our life depends on our choices in life and we should be able to avoid choosing the things that will make our life worthless and miserable.

If we’re in deep trouble we must turn to our family and to God for guidance and not to others who will give us bad advice.  Wrong choice of friends will also contribute in making the wrong choices in life so we should be careful in dealing with people who will give us bad influence.  It’s not too late to change ourselves.  And when we believe that we still have a chance for better living we should try to start making better choices in life.

A Drop of Happiness

Source: facebook.com via Race on Pinterest

Just a drop of happiness can cause so much for our well being emotionally, physically and psychologically.  It can affect our whole being and our outlook in life.  I have experienced being sad with my work and it made me depressed in a way.  I was beginning to ask myself if it's me or they're just having so much expectations.  It also affected my health that I began thinking what God really wants for me.

I'm glad that thinking about God's love for me brought happiness to me and made me look at the positive side of life.  It also helped me decide to plan giving up my work to gain my confidence back again.  It made me realized that I should work where my efforts will be appreciated and where I will feel good about myself.
This is so true with my current state of mind and I'm happy reading it.

Think, Pray and Act

Most of the times we keep on wondering why our life is sometimes a mess.  We didn't want look back on our past actions and decisions to see how our life turned from being good to bad.  It's just natural for some people to point their fingers to others for the things that ruined their life because they don't want to blame themselves.

Well if you really want to make your life better start thinking or planning ahead before you do something.  If your plans will involve your family and close friends you can also seek their advice on it.  Don't act without thinking because that kind of behavior can bring you to wrong decisions in life and you may regret it the rest of your life.

It's just the same as thinking without acting because planning is really a must and careful thinking should be done but it also needs action on your part. Thinking alone won't bring you to successful turn events in your life.  One must think and act in order to resolve disputes and problems and to prevent further complications in life.  Then when you come to a decision you must pray for His guidance.

Are You A Cup or A Dipper?

Did you know your purpose in living? Sometimes we tend to like what others wanted in life not realizing that each and every one of us has our own capabilities and interests and some things can’t be applied on same individuals. We should take our time to think not what people demand on us but what really is our capacity and potential as a person. A friend told me about the cup and the dipper. These are common utensils in our house but if we use them as type and shadow of purposes in life you’ll find some lessons that will change some of your views.

The Cup wants to do what Dipper is doing and vice versa. The Cup didn’t realized that his purpose is to hold what people are drinking and his capacity is special as he has the privilege of holding drinks that would quench the thirst of humans.

The Dipper envy the Cup but he also didn’t realized that his purpose to hold larger volume of water to bathe and cleanse people and things. He has larger capacity but they can’t be compared with each other. They’re both special and useful in the eyes of God. Each person was given different talents, skills and intelligence but in the eyes and heart of God He love them all. So are you a Cup or a Dipper? Whatever you are, you’re special!

:Friday Fill-Ins #169

And…here we go!

1. The right word should be coming from the heart and not from the mind when you're trying to advise a friend in her most troubled moments.
2. Open and shut the door quietly, please so I can work without noise disturbances. I can do some more tasks if I can have silent environment.
3. Up , UP and away.
4. At my little office corner in the living room is where you’ll find me. If not look for me in the kitchen I may be cooking some foodie for my hungry kids
5. Ooh! What is that foreign recipe menu doing at my kitchen table, do you think I should try cooking it? Well let me see!
6. Your thought of making some giveaways for graduation of the kids is a good idea but it will be too late now to prepare it, don't you think so?
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to working til the wee hours at night because I slept early yesterday and my tasks will expire soon, tomorrow my plans include checking out all things to buy for our camp meeting on Holy Week and Sunday, I want to collect some payments for our summer camp food so I don't have to collect on the camp site!

Working on Something New

I’m working on my new blog and I’m so amazed how time flies so fast, imagine it took me hours just to decide on the template, choose and fix header to match the template and decide on the blog description. After more than an hour of choosing and fixing template and header I then worked on the settings and layout including cbox, feedjit, mybloglog and many others. It’s really hard to start another blog again but what can I do? I feel like I’m bursting with ideas again and this time for a shopping, techie stuff and tips’ blog. I’m in the mood now for starting a new blog, well a different kind from my usual blogs. It’s taking my time from my online tasks and I always have to work overtime in the evening to cope with my work. I just hope it’ll be ready next week for visitors and traffic.

Slowly Returning to Normal Life

After 5 days of frightening floods caused by storm Ondoy we were now slowly returning to normal life, slowly because electricity has just returned to our area and we still have plenty of cleaning and washing up. Mentally some people I happened to talk to were slowly accepting the fate that dawned on them, others with only few properties left, some with nothing left at all and will start anew. I know God will help us recover again from the losses caused by the storm. I pray for those people who lost their families during the storm. God will help them find in their heart the acceptance of the loss of their loved ones.

God Is The Great Healer

We were all very thankful to God and to our brethren and friends who helped us pray for my mother's eye surgery. Her right eye undergone a cataract operation and it was a successful one. On the other hand, the same eye specialist who operated my Mom told us that her left eye's nerve in retina suffered a major breakdown which caused a permanent blindness and no operation or medicine can make her left eye see again. Our brethren in the church kept on praying for her speedy recovery and for her left eye, we know that everything is possible with God, we just have to believe and have faith that He can do miracle.

Praises be to God, when my Mom woke up this morning she told us that her eye can see everything. Just as she lost her sight suddenly last March 23 God has returned it just like a flick of a finger. This moment has brought us to tears of happiness, God really never failed to show His mercy and blessings, He showed us that He's the great healer of all times. It's the best birthday gift that my Mom can ever have, she's turning 77 on May 30 with two new renewed eyes from God to see His glory and love for us. God is good all the time.....

God Is My Guide

I’ve heard some bad news lately about recessions here and abroad. I watched the news about Intel closing up leaving thousands of employees jobless. Everywhere I go I always hear news about how it’s hard to be employed nowadays and here I am filing up my resignation for the second time, first time last May 2008.

My decision is firm and I thanked God that He gave me enough courage and wisdom on my decision to leave the company whom I stayed for 16 years. He gave me the strength to give up my job and not be afraid of the financial crisis that’s hounding this country. Well I’ve worked since I graduated from college and I had various tech jobs as I’m a graduate of Computer Engineering but my current employer taught me a lot in other fields of work. He assigned me in Technical Proposal and later had a stint as Assistant of Personnel Manager for mobilization of engineering staff. Then he transferred me to another company of him and involved me in telecommunications work such as billing, collection, carrier settlement, accounting and human relations.

I almost rounded up various departments in our company and I can only say that through all this work that I didn’t learned from my college course God guided and given me enough knowledge to learn the craft and use them in my work. God is so good….all the time.

God's Protective Hands On Us

Sunday again and we’re busy preparing our things for this Sunday service fellowship, our service always lasts for hours until early evening covering morning fellowship and afternoon sharing of God’s word. As always hubby cleans and conditions the car checking each component if functioning properly. Suddenly when he was preparing the car for backing out in the garage our steering wheel lost its grip and missed control over the wheels. We’re just so glad that it happened when we’re still home and not on the road because it might bring us disaster.

We’re so thankful that God didn’t allowed that to happen. Hubby testified that in our church and when he said that ‘God is so good that He never let us run on the road with a defective car that can kill us all’ I was so blessed with the word. God is really good not only yesterday, not only today but ALL THE TIME …..

Be Prepared... Spiritually!

There’s a slight earthquake here in our place but was so light that it’s not noticeable, just heard it from a neighbor. It’s a little higher in some of the places in the north like in Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija, we have a church mate there and we learned that it’s about intensity 4, not so sure of the number actually. My inbox was full of rumors about July 18 earthquake and so I’ve shared it with our Pastor. It was a nice sharing and I learned a lot from it.

Actually earthquake can happen anytime because we’re in the Pacific ‘Ring of Fire’ just like ther countries in the Pacific area. Instead of getting rattled and panic over these things we should pray that God will hold us in His mighty hands and protect us from all these things. Preparation shouldn’t be always on the physical side but most importantly on the spiritual side. Did we ask ourselves ‘what if this thing happened and I’m not prepared to face my creator? Yes we should be reuniting ourselves with Him, develop a personal relationship and start to build a life centered on Him. That’s the time that we can be assured that we’re prepared no matter what happens. Just always remember ‘God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble’

Afternoon Sharing

It was raining hard this afternoon, the cool breeze after the rain makes it more satisfying to spend the afternoon in the church hearing our Pastor’s continuation of his message “I Will Restore”. It’s the third part and I’m not sure if he will finally complete the message as he explicitly explained every bit and pieces of this very special message. It’s about reviving and restoring our faith to our Father. The best part of this message is when Pastor connects God’s word to our everyday living illustrating type and shadow, best way in relating it to our own lives. As they say the true measure of a true Christian is constantly weigh on how we deal with our lives outside the church. As this world is like a battle field of good and bad.

Stop Worrying!

The country is suffering now from all forms of price hike, everything you buy, everywhere you look and every little thing we need increases. Basic commodities like rice, milk and gasoline’s prices are incontrollable. Suddenly within these past few months all prices soared up high and what are you doing? Worrying about the food that you will eat and the clothes that you will wear? It’s but natural for humans to think about that, in fact the very basic reason why we work is to provide better living opportunities for our loved ones, to give them shelter, food, education, best of health and all necessities in life. But nevertheless doesn’t worry because God will take care of all these things, just let Him take over your life. Remember worry is the darkroom in which negatives can develop. Instead of worrying turn to Him for peace of mind because life is not focused only on our physical needs but also spiritual necessities. If you have trust in Him everything will follow, you’ll have confidence that no matter what happens God will not let you down.
