My Typical Day

Almost everyone has classes now except for my eldest DD and I'm back to waking up so early in the morning.  lately I've had some difficulty in waking up because I've been sleep for an hour or two  only.  Talk about dizziness lol! Anyway when I wake up after an hour of sleep I just move like a programmed robot, boil water for their milk, cook breakfast and packed their lunch meals.  In between cooking I'll prepare the table and nap for 2-4 minutes just in time for the rice and water to boil.  I can sleep like that when needed.

I was just thankful that hubby takes over sometimes.  He'll take care of assisting the kids as they eat, take a bath, dress for school and check everything before hopping up to their service vehicle.  That's how our morning happens, full of activities but after the last kid went off to school hubby and I will have our breakfast together before he went to school also.  Then that's when my day with only my Mom starts.  I'll have my exercise before eating breakfast  so by the time I'm left with my chores and online work it's just me roaming around the house until they all arrived from school.  This is my usual time as work-at-home Mom.

Set Your Mind on Your Dreams

I’m having so many showers of blessing for my online works and it just confirmed that my decision to work full time on doing PB is the right one to make. Not only me but all of my online friends are. They also have tons of work done in the past few days and still have plenty to make. It never ends and we love that of course. Who knows we might have sufficient funds to buy silver bullion for our investment. Our works are all online so we might as well do our investment online also. Of course that’s one of our dreams but you’ll never know. I might wake up one morning with enough money to finance my investments. I know dreams come true if you set your mind on it, pray for it and work on it.

My 3rd Blog Anniversary

I had my 3rd year blogversary the other day and I couldn't believe that it's been three years now that I've been sharing my life and thoughts online. I remember not signing up to friendster or any kind of online account except email because I was afraid my privacy would be invaded. It was on that late summer afternoon last April 28, 2007 when I begun entering the exciting world of blogging.

My first blog Race Corner is a free-hosted one and still running up to now though not as active as my domain blogs. I kept it the way it was to preserve my memory of how simple blogging was. Now it's more complicated and advanced.I may say also that paid opportunities are much harder to grab and requirements are greater but I still love it, love every task that comes my way which reminds me always that God has provided me a way of working at home to be with my family. I had the courage to leave my regular stable job because I found my best job online. Well it's only a bonus as sharing your thoughts and meeting friends online is also one of the most satisfying hobbies.

Two Important Things When Working at Home

I’ve been running and about the whole day but only on online works that I have filing up in my dashboard. Now I’ve almost finished them all except for one or two tasks that will expire next week. I must check first about the furnace filters my SIL is asking me. It’s so important to her and she asked me to search online as I’m connected all day on the net.
I have many offline activities this coming week and it’s safer if I finished them all to avoid rushing when due dates are coming. Discipline and time management are really important when you’re working at home because you are your own boss and it’s up to you when you want to schedule your work. You can have it in the morning, afternoon or evening. It really depends on your inspired hours of working and in your busiest time of doing household works.

Best Job I’ve Ever Had

Because of the successive graduation and recognition ceremonies for all our three kids we have tons of pictures ready for color printing now and I’m trying to sort out almost duplicate pictures to save funds. I’m happy that all school activities were finished and I was able to get their clearances and class cards yesterday. I’m completing all requirements of my eldest and youngest kid for their entrance in primary and secondary school. I’ve just completed them all and secured NSO certificates so I’m just waiting for our salaries to enroll our eldest earlier so I can concentrate on the other two.

Online job is a good source of income but it’s not a stable one unlike the pay you have when you’re employed so you have to practice wise planning and budgeting. If you have a good income these days you have to save money for the times when work is not overflowing. But I must say being a work-at-home Mom is the best job I’ve ever had.

Casual Wear for Me

As I’m now working in the comfort of my home I’ve changed half of my wardrobe, bags and shoes. At first I find it difficult to look for clothes to wear when I go out of the house. Majority of my things were bought for my office work so I find it awkward to use some of it when I go to the bank, school and wherever I go. Some of my blouses are too formal and comfortable only on air-conditioned rooms while my shoes are more or less closed shoes, I don’t wear open toes in office. Since I started working at home I bought some pieces of comfortable casual tops, casual bags and shoes to match these casual things. Now I need to add some slippers and sandals just like Naot sandals which I saw when I was shopping online. I need to look casual because I always feel overdressed on school occasions and meetings

Fruits of Hard Work

I had quite a tight schedule for two weeks that I often do my online works late at night or until dawn. Sometimes I’ll rest for about two hours before waking up again for my kids’ breakfast and packed lunch. I’m just lucky that my face didn’t suffer from acne through consistent overnight blogging or I’ll need some acne treatment to treat them. I’m also glad that I’m not working anymore in my regular work because for sure I will not be able to cope up with online and offline tasks. At least here in my work-at-home job I will earn big if I work hard unlike the regular office works which limits your earning abilities. I’ve worked hard and did multi-tasking jobs but never earned what I think is appropriate for me. Although it’s a major decision to quit a very stable job I was glad that I’ve made my decision sooner because opportunities are flooding now.

Staying Home

Staying at home gives you time to dwell on more important things in life. Even though I’m not really just staying home because I’m working as well I now have time to take care of my kids and my Mom. There are things that I dreamed to do before but time restricted me. Now with my new adopted life I can do those things. To sum it all up I’m having the best times of my life now earning bucks while staying at home and enjoying more time with my family. There’s one disadvantage though on the other side of it as when an office friend saw me after almost 2 months she was surprised at how I gained weight. Yes staying at home without too much exercise can make you overweight.

Actually I didn’t expected it as I didn’t noticed that I gained that much. Oh well trust them who didn’t see you for a long time because they’re more likely to say the truth. They can see the difference much better than the people who see you everyday. I’m asking myself now if I really need to get serious in my diet plan and search for the best weight loss supplements that would give me guaranteed results. I will also have to consult it with my doctor for safety precautions. I don’t want to lose weight and be unhealthy. I always want a healthy diet plan and if ever I’m going to take supplements I’ll heed my doctor’s advice.

Sharing Responsibilities

Running a household is not a simple task and now that I’m a work-at-home Mom I’m officially full time with my whole household. When I was working in office I was so busy that some chores that I failed to finish will be continued by my dear hubby because his office schedule was an hour later than mine. He was so supportive that he never let me handle all household tasks just because I’m the woman in the house.

Ever since we got married several years ago he shared responsibilities with household tasks, those tasks that he thinks will be harder to women or the ones that will affect my health. Now he didn’t stopped from doing what he used to do but I limit those to minimum work as I have more time now to concentrate managing our house. There are just some tasks that women can’t do or hesitant to do like fixing faucets which doesn’t seem to last for a year or fixing the car. And to that I put full responsibility to my husband.

Busy Me

Been busy these past three days and I just sneak to blog to update somehow. As it's only now that I got time to do everything I need and I want because I'm just working at home. I'm checking my kids at school at least twice a week and attending school activities. I'm happy that I can now squeeze my time but I'm aware also that I have to manage my time carefully or I'll be running out of time for my tasks' due dates. I thank God that He's giving my sites lot of blessings that I feel I'm more overloaded now than when I'm working full time in office and part time online. Of course I love it I just have to plan my time wisely or else I will not be able to catch up with my assignments.
