Life's Security

Life is beautiful and we just have to be aware of God’s beautiful creations to realize that we are truly blessed by Him. Blessings can come in many faces like as spiritual blessing is actually worth more than financial blessings. It’s just that people tend to see materials things easier than spiritual gifts from God. We should learn how to appreciate the more important things in life like having a loving family, healthy mind and body and loyal friends that surround you.

Waking up everyday is a blessing that many don’t realize. Life is very important to us, some people spent big amount of money to be sure they will be protected from many sickness that commonly infects people and others gets immunization so they can’t be infected. Most people I know search and compare life insurance and secure the best offer they can get to ensure that they will be insured for life. It’s actually favorable to their family who would benefit from the proceeds of their insurances. There are many sites that offer different packages for life insurance.

I chanced upon USA Life Insurance and came to know of their services and benefits. You can browse their site to be informed of their discount life insurance solutions and life insurance quotations. They also compare various life insurance rates to help people be aware of how much they will be spending on a good life insurance package. Even if you are a beginner they have life insurance primer for you. It’s very beneficial because information is very much welcome when you need to know about insurance and the many things involved to get your security.

There are more ways than any of these to have security in life but the real security is when you turn to God for life security because it’s not only life here that you are secured but the life after this world.

:WW-Baby's Walk In The Sand

Kezia Ammiel was seen here trying to walk in the beautiful sand in Buenasuerte Beach located in the town of Nabas, Aklan province. She enjoyed the never ending sand playground around her. Maybe she's wondering why her place suddenly turned from the bustling city of Caloocan to the soft sand of the beautiful beach. She's so pretty and cute here don't you think?

My 2nd Year In Blogging!

It’s my second year anniversary in blogging but not in this blog but in my first ever blog in Race Corner where I first entered the world of blogging through my bestfriend JennyL. I just went into her internet café and she introduced me to blogging. Here's my first entry. I was really interested in writing but I didn’t pursue Journalism as I thought Computer Engineering will give me a better opportunity to land a good job. Writing remains my first love and signing up in a blog somehow achieved some of my dreams.

I started out in Bravejournal and went further as months passed by in Blogger where I first experienced redirecting my blog in a domain. I opened My Crossroads, another site where I talked about my work, my crossroads - the critical decisions in my life and travel to many places where we held our church camp meeting fellowship.

This blog ‘Moments of My Life’ became my main site and though I wasn’t able to update much my first blogs Race Corner and A Beautiful Life, I still love them because they’re my first babies here in the blogging world. Blogging doesn't only gives me a chance to share my thoughts and life but also helps me earn money through writing advertisement.

Josh’ Inquiries

My two kids always tag along every time I went out of the house to buy food and everything we need. Josh was anticipating last weekend that I’ll do some grocery shopping so he got himself ready for the time that I will announce that I’ll go out. My time was limited because my Mom can’t be all alone in the house for a long time. My eldest volunteered to stay so I went to the nearest supermarket with my two younger kids.

Actually I was eyeing some ice cream parlor too because Josh asked me to look for one. Glad I found the two competing ice cream offering promos so we grabbed it and Josh was a happy kid after that. He’s just happy to pick items from the grocery and excitedly asked about the barcode scanner that the cashier is using. I told him about it and when we reached home we browse some models like Symbol LS2208 which promotes wide usage and very durable too. It can be used also for many applications other than scanning barcode in supermarkets. Josh always has many questions that will make you search for answers.

:Today's Flowers #37

Just one of the flowers in the villa, the color of this one is between light lavender and pink, just a light touch of those two colors but it actually looks white. They look pretty just scattered and hanging around the tree. Very ornamental it seems!

Remembering Ms. Rosas

We dropped by our high school teacher last Thursday, me and Bes JennyL together with our high school batch mates. It’s not a reunion or get together but we’ve visited the wake of our 3rd year high school adviser Mrs. Elida Rosas who passed away this week. She didn’t survive the pancreas cancer that was diagnosed in her last year. It was a 6-month struggle with the killer sickness enduring many cycles of chemotherapy. I heard that even if it was a painful sickness she died a happy person and fought up to the last of her breath.

Who is Ma’am Rosas to me? Aside from being the prettiest teacher and my adviser on my happiest year in high school she somehow changed a bit of my personality that led me to achieve some of my dreams. I can never forget my first day of 3rd year high when all of a sudden after introducing herself to us she began looking for a certain student who she told us was personally recommended by our last year’s adviser. We were waiting for the student’s name and I was surprised and shy when I heard my name.

From that day on she talked to me a lot, advised and encouraged me into using all my talent and capabilities to reach it to the top. She told me that I failed to reach the honor roll on my 2nd year because I don’t have extra curricular activities and that counts some percentage. She kindly forced me to join various clubs and organizations so I will not lack what is needed for extra curricular grades, I was a bit hesitant but she was very persuasive sometimes admonishing me.

My academic was faring so good then maybe because of too much encouragement on her part. My interests in all my subjects especially those hard ones increased and before I knew it I’ve made it to the top and I know she’s contributed a lot in terms of kind advices and unwavering encouragement. When I climbed the stage on the recognition day she was all smiles and told me that ‘I know you can do it, congratulations’.

Honors and awards are not that important but the way she changed my attitude in reaching for my dreams. Slowly I changed for the better me until I graduated and took the road to a higher level of education, a more confident student this time and more willing to learn everything that came my way. No more inexplicable apprehension, not too shy to face people and can solve any situation that passes by.

Weekend Relaxation

On days like these when the weather is unpredictable I’m too lazy to go somewhere outside our home. Just want to share my time with the kids, have some singing using Wow magic sing or watch home videos on LCD TV though we don’t have a much bigger screen than 21 inches we still enjoy watching together. I’ve finished all my household chores yesterday as I have to prepare for my back to office work next week. Today I just did some online assignments and will relax later. If only I could extend my leave! Wish!

Back To Work Next Week

I'm so glad that my Mom is getting stronger and her eye is fast recovering from her eye surgery. I just felt a little sad that my vacation leave is nearing its end, actually I have to go back to my office work on Monday. Having a one-month vacation staying with my kids and Mom gave me a relief from the pressures of work and though household activities is really more than I can handle it's not that stressful, know what I mean?

That's the advantage of Stay-at-home Moms the pressure on home is not that heavy as in the pressure of working in an 8-5 office and having more than one boss, not to mention the skills, capabilities and clever mind set that you have to give everyday of your working week. Wish I could start my part-time work that my boss offered to me and wish also that they will find someone to replace me, someone that will not quit as fast as the one we hired last month.

My Bes' Blog Mentioned In Inquirer

Bes JennyL sent me a message about how her blog was mentioned in Phil. Daily Inquirer's story about Charice Pempengco. I was a bit busy then (as always) so I just posted this only today. It was a small line only but it brought us excitement nevertheless. Here's a part of her scanned copy of the Inquirer story where her Slice of Life blog was mentioned (I just grab a part of her scanned copy from her, the complete copy is in her blog).

For complete story on this you can visit her writeup on her blog Slice of Life. Blogging really gives us not just the means to express our thoughts but be recognized and mentioned as well. Congrats Bes!

Travel Benefits

Traveling is fun and exciting because you’ll get to see places and meet new friends. Some meet their special someone on foreign land during their travels and others were fortunate enough to land a much stable job on their travel business meetings. Anything and everything is possible when you travel around places because you open yourself to many opportunities. While it gives people better opportunities some just travel for vacation or visit their loved ones abroad. Whatever your reason is the best way to travel is when you’re safe and secured when you arrive at the airport.

My friend in New York was very happy when she told me about her travel and reminds me that if any of our friends want to visit her there better be sure that they will also book Car Service Newark Airport so they can also have on time and safe ground transportation service from airport to her apartment in New York. They can also go around the whole city safely with the company’s trusted drivers. We all know that safety is the first thing that we must remember at all times especially if you’re on a foreign land and Go Airlink NYC is a trusted company that can give you comfort, convenience, safety and affordability all together. Booking online is best recommended as they have discounts for online customers. You can save $2 on one way trip and $5 on a round trip.

:WW - Summer Camp Bonfire & Grill

A snapshot of our bonfire on the night of our first day on our summer camp in Villa Dominga Forest Resort. It brought us warmth on a cold summer night and protection also from mosquitoes.

The next shot was shown with grilled chicken barbeque on one side. Unfortunately I didn't wait for the cooked chicken because I went to sleep then.

Cooling Down

It’s just another happy Sunday spent in our church. Early morning brought us great heat and we have to stop by the river banks to cool down the car. We traveled earlier so we can have a much colder temperature but the heat really rose up to the extent that it affected the car also.

As we rested for awhile I’ve seen some cars stopping by to check on their cars also. Some have a need for hydraulic floor jack because their tires gave up but others just want to cool down only just like us. After just a few more minutes we returned to our car and headed to our home church. On our way back to home the rain poured endlessly and we had a very nice cool travel.

:Today's Flowers #36

Another white flower entry for me here, I just love white blooms these days so I really search for them to post in this flower meme. This shot was taken at Villa Dominga Resort in Indang, Cavite where flowers keep blooming and blooming and I was happy to see that they have more flowers now than last December that we had our camp meeting.

We stayed at the villa for two days consuming our holy week holidays in praising and worshipping God. It was a fulfilling vacation fellowship for us all, we came home feeling very blessed. I'll be posting some of the villa's blooms in the coming weeks!

Nice Stuff For Your Pets

My cousin and his family love having pet and his favorite are dogs. His daughter even spent some money on collecting dogs with breed. It pays off most of the times as their pets guard their house strictly, no one not even me can enter their house without one of the family at the front. Funny thing is they can’t memorize my looks as they always look to me as stranger. I just thought of my cousin’s family early this morning as I’ve seen online some really nice pet supplies that would make their pets comfortable and contented. Need to tell them to browse some pet supplies sites.

She Loves Flowers!

My Mom loves plants and flowers and I inherit her love for these kinds. I even bought some lovely kinds from the nursery besides our office. Actually the owner of the land will do some building construction so they were forced to move out so I bought some from them because I don’t want their blooms to be such a waste.

I brought home some beautiful blooms such as million flowers, yellow and orange española, Malaysian mumps and some other tropical plants. My Mom and I really love flowers and she was happy when she saw what I’ve got for her. If only I could have some hydrangea she will be delighted with its bicolored flowers. I found this flower on sale on online nursery site and they have beautiful varieties of these. Such a lovely site!

God Is The Great Healer

We were all very thankful to God and to our brethren and friends who helped us pray for my mother's eye surgery. Her right eye undergone a cataract operation and it was a successful one. On the other hand, the same eye specialist who operated my Mom told us that her left eye's nerve in retina suffered a major breakdown which caused a permanent blindness and no operation or medicine can make her left eye see again. Our brethren in the church kept on praying for her speedy recovery and for her left eye, we know that everything is possible with God, we just have to believe and have faith that He can do miracle.

Praises be to God, when my Mom woke up this morning she told us that her eye can see everything. Just as she lost her sight suddenly last March 23 God has returned it just like a flick of a finger. This moment has brought us to tears of happiness, God really never failed to show His mercy and blessings, He showed us that He's the great healer of all times. It's the best birthday gift that my Mom can ever have, she's turning 77 on May 30 with two new renewed eyes from God to see His glory and love for us. God is good all the time.....

Gold Price

Everyone loves gold be it jewelry, dining wares or any form of this very precious element. People used it on so many functions and occasions like engagement, wedding, collections, displays and many other uses. If you have plenty of gold in your keeping you can have it as a form of investment as it spells big money. On financial crisis it can be used to see you through the hard times as you can sell or pawn it when the need is very urgent.

I found online a better investment if you want a better gold price increase in the future. You can invest through Monex Deposit Company by purchasing precious metals like silver and gold and have it safely stored at bank. This way, you can be assured that your money will be used for a safe and sure investment that will appreciate value rather than investing on some other things that are not stable.

:Today's Flowers #35

I had a snapshot of these white flowers (again as my last entry are also white flowers) from our backyard, actually from the garden of our tenants. I've been rounding up the whole compound for beautiful flowers. If you clicked on this shot and get a larger view you'll see ants ruining the dainty buds and that caught my attention. I was wondering if these flowers are sweet, I didn't have the chance to get the name of this specie but I'll do it later!

How Stressed Are You?

A close friend of mine was hospitalized two weeks ago because of Vertigo and she told me that it stemmed out of too mush stress. I told her to relax and think of her health first before worrying too much, everyone has problems but if you manage to control your anxieties over these neverending problems you'll be free from stress, the condition that will give you health complications. I've done some test on myself about this stress level and look what I've found out!

Your Stress Level is: 38%

You are slightly prone to stress, but generally you keep it under control.

You know how to relax and take things as they come, even when your world seems to be falling apart.

Occasionally, you do let yourself get stressed out, but you snap out of it pretty quickly.

You can also try it on yourself, just some kind of quiz and test on

Sightseeing Tours

We’ve just arrived from a two-day summer camp meeting in Indang, Cavite and enjoyed our time there. We had fellowship and somehow the beauty and quiet air of the villa we stayed relaxed our senses. Sleeping on tents gave us a feeling of really being on a camp and the kids enjoyed it very much. We all have our plans of having our vacation somewhere here or abroad depending on our purpose and financial capacities. Some want a vacation cruise, others wanted it on a cottage house by the beach and some other people I know want to roam around popular cities to acquaint them with what different places have to offer them.

A friend I knew from my former job in consultancy firm is planning her vacation now in New York where one of her sisters resides for several years now. It’s easier for her to go there where accommodation is not a problem; of course she’ll be staying with her sister’s family. She earlier booked for New York City Tours so she can start her vacation with sightseeing the best views of New York City. Being an architect she loves going to historical places where buildings depict what the place have gone through over the years. She would also want to visit museums and some well-known attractions in one of the most popular cities in the world. As she has told me about this over the phone I felt her excitement about her vacation plan.

:WW - Buddies

This is Josh and his friend Carl, schoolmate and playmate which happens to be the only son of Josh' school service. When they're together you can't separate them easily. They love playing with each other especially with super heroes and board game toys.

They go to school together as they have the same time schedule in St. Audry but they're not classmates as the school doesn’t want to be together in the same room to concentrate more in studies. The school management is right on their decision because the result was good. They both emerged as the top student in their classes

Tax Planning

Now that it’s nearing the BIR deadline for paying and submission of withholding tax for all taxpayers I’m glad that our department has earlier finished with all the essential documents needed to submit for the company. We’re confident with all the submitted documents as our auditor completely verified and checked all tax documents before we submitted them to BIR.

Early preparation is really an advantage because it gives enough allowable time to fix any incorrect information and data. I know how to compute taxes for employees living here only but when it comes to International tax planning I’m not that familiar. I just came upon this one on the net and learned that there are companies who deal with taxpayers with various residences and countries. It’s a big help and assurance on the client’s part that their taxes will be minimized within allowable guidelines. They handle individuals and corporations needing legal, financial and management advisory, consultation is free of charge.

:Today's Flowers #34

I'm back again here at Today's Flowers after being offline for two weeks. Been too busy with my mom's eye condition. I was very happy that she regained her eyesight after her cataract operation last April 1, 2009.

These pretty petite white flowers are from my Auntie's garden who lives just beside us, the buds resembles those of sampaguita but the flowers are slightly different. I was glad that I did a pretty good shot of this one because I've had difficulty in shooting white flowers previously.

Caring For Our Teeth

I’ve always loved looking at different smiles and I noticed that beautiful teeth contribute a lot to make your smile perfect especially if you have white pearl looking teeth. Perfect teeth are achieved through regular visit to dentists and eating the right kind of food that will stimulate the right protection for your precious teeth. Some people spend a lot of money just to make sure they will have the latest innovation in dental technology like what I read about San Diego TMJ dentist who specializes in TMJ dysfunction treatment. Why would you bear the painful symptoms of the mentioned sickness if you could afford to have it treated!

Our teeth are very important to us and we must do everything to protect it, anyway it’s not that hard to have beautiful teeth as dental technology has reached further development in dental world. I myself wanted to have some improvement on my teeth but I’ll have to save money as my dentist told me that there are many things that we should do before I can achieve my plan. It’s expensive but I know a beautiful smile will be worth it.
