Best Gift Ever!

glitter-graphics.com

This is a special day for us as we're celebrating 77th birthday of our dearest mother. This is also a special thanksgiving to God for bringing back the vision in her eyes. Only God can make blind see and that's what He did to our Mom. It's the best gift that God has given my Mom in all her life, not only on making her see the world in her eyes again but the knowledge that God has again proved His love for her! Happy Birthday Mom! We love you!

:WW - Blue Lights

Just happened to like these blue lights in SM when we shopped last Sunday! It's really beautiful when you're near. The lights changes its color to red and green but I didn't have the chance to take a nice shot as the place is overcrowded! People here were viewing one celebrity who was doing some shows on the ground level.

A Charming Kitchen

I’ve been looking at my kitchen for several days now and was thinking of a slight make over or renovation. I love cooking and whenever I have time to experiment on new recipes I really indulge my time. I spend lots of time in the kitchen where I cook all the meals of my family and learn some new things about baking.

Yes I’m into baking right now and I’m planning to enroll in a class to specialize on crinkles and brownies. Because I’m always in that particular area of the house I want it to be spotlessly clean and must exude a warm and cozy ambience. I wanted to add a touch of the conservative kitchen we had several years ago when our house was still Spanish-inspired.

First and foremost I want to revive the appeal of that old kitchen by changing my kitchen sinks. I’ve been searching for the kind that would appeal and found copper kitchen sinks which suits my taste well enough. I also learned that it’s antibacterial so it’s perfect for me. I’m looking forward to having it in my kitchen and I’ll be changing some furniture to match the old charming look of the copper sinks. That way I’ll be more inspired to try out delicious recipes.

:Today's Flowers #41

I've picked my entry from the flowers that you often see on the sides of the road or just a simple backdrop ornaments on the sides of the garden. They're the small petite flowers that we sometimes forgot to take a second look because they're just too tiny and small to notice. I was quite happy with my shots because it brings out the best of the ordinary small blooms.

Looking at the Sky on Friday - Mall Sunset

Photobucket

It's my first time to join this one and I have my shot atop Ever Gotesco Mall in Ortigas near our place. We (my kids and I) were finished with our shopping around past 5pm and were about to go home when I was enthralled by the view above us. I've always love sunset even if it's just starting to darken. I love how the rays of the setting sun became so visibly astonishing passing through the clouds!

This kind of view inspires me because it's so good to see God's wonderful creation, if you want to be more inspired visit this! You'll be touched for sure!

:WW - Turban Baby

This is my goddaughter Jezrah, granddaughter of our Pastor and one of my favorite models when my camera clicks! She's one year and 3 months old and very adorable! She's sporting a towel turban here because rain showers suddenly came when we're about to leave the church and her cap is nowhere to find! The towel served the purpose, she escaped the cold breeze of the rain.

Help for Mesothelioma Victims

I’ve posted recently here the effects of asbestos to those people who have been very much exposed to this miracle mineral. I’ve been following the stories of the people who had lung cancer, asbestosis and mesothelioma because of this mineral, the mineral that has a lot of usability but hazardous to human. I learned that people have sought the help of Mesothelioma lawyers to help them investigate and sue the companies who were involved and responsible in their acquired diseases. After all they deserve some justice.

:Today's Flowers #40

A simple petite rose pink flower shot on partial and full bloom stage. Actually the color of this flower is somewhat red in the distance but when you go closer it's dark pink. Anyway whatever is the true color of this one I find this simply pretty. This shot was taken in the province of Aklan amidst various blooming flowers in the backyard garden. I'll be posting more of it in the coming weeks.

Controlling Your Food Cravings

I’ve seen some friends who claimed to have undergone some diet plan and other ways to burn excess pounds. They look the same to me as if nothing has changed and I wonder if they’re following their diet plan or it’s not specifically right for them. Although I know that some of them really have good appetite they told me that they just burned what they eat through exercise. Exercise is not enough for people who are heavy eaters. They need to have appetite suppressants to control their food cravings. This together with exercise regimen can help them achieve their desired weight.

Busy With School Preparations

School opening is just around the corner, another two weeks and we’re back again to sending our kids to their school. That will include two hours earlier of waking up to prepare their things and food, filing under time in my work to attend PTA meetings and scheduling all my activities to cope up with my children’s maternal assistance. But I do it guys with happiness and excitement. I love doing all these for my kids that’s why sometimes they would tease me that I’m a stage mom :-)

Anyway we’re done with shopping for their school things, all three of them and we’re happy last weekend to do this shopping. View some of our pics in my weekend snapshots!

Scanners

Every time we went out to buy our essential items in the grocery my kids were always curious on the cost of our usual grocery items. On most of the supermarket that we frequent they would look for the barcode scanner standing at the center of the store where you can inquire at the price of the goods. If the price is missing on the items I want to buy they will go to the scanner to search the price. Sometimes they just want to see how the scanner would run its red light on the items and eventually show the price on the small screen. Kids are like that they always want to know and try everything.

Effects of Asbestos

I’ve been alarmed by what I’ve searched about asbestos. We know that asbestos has a lot of usability in manufacturing industries and construction in the past years and it has been widely used by many because of its ability to withstand heat. Now restriction has greatly limited its use due to the hazardous effect it has when people are exposed, actually in some countries it has been banned already.

Before it has been restricted and banned for usage there are lots of people who has already acquired diseases caused by asbestos such as lung cancer, mesothelioma and asbestosis. It has dawned on me that some great discoveries of people like this miracle mineral are not always good on people.

Extra Luggage

My family is always traveling to different places away from the bustling city of the metropolis. We particularly love to go to far away provinces to spend some days for our camp meeting. Our camp meeting requires us to bring everything we need for 3 days including our clothes and food. The places that we stayed were usually an hour or two away from the nearest market so we need to remember all the essential things needed.

I’m a heavy traveler and I tend to have more than what we need but for me it’s also an advantage because if we extended our stay for another day I don’t have to fear for lack of something. Because my kids are fast growing up I suddenly have a need for extra luggage and I’m seeing some Samsonite luggage to buy and use for our next camp meeting in December. I always want to plan ahead so as early as this time I want to prepare everything for that much-awaited December camp meeting.

:WW - Birthday Clowns!

This is Josh with the birthday clowns. I've seen him staring at them when they're doing some magic and assisting the kids on the games. It's his second time to see clowns on birthday and he's still amazed at their costumes and the way they host the party. Before anyone had a pictorial with the clowns Josh has finished with his picture with them. I want him to be the first because the kids were getting super active at that time and I was not sure if we can have the clowns by ourselves :-) Btw it's not his birthday party!

Kettlebell

I’ve been hearing about many ways on how my friends lost their unwanted pounds. Some have followed diet regimen, others resorted to diet pills but most of them either strictly followed some exercise procedures or enrolled in workout activities. They told me gym workouts are a lot better than depriving yourself of the food you want. Indulging in workout exercises eventually disciplines your eating habit too so for them it’s the most effective way of maintaining your body weight. I’ve found some testimonies online on the advantages of having some gym exercises and saw some uses Kettlebell to eliminate fat and to have good muscles. It only takes minutes on a 3-day schedule and you’ll be on your desired weight and built. Awesome!

Childhood in the Province

I’ve always loved reminiscing my childhood in our hometown in Laguna. I could still remember the scent of the grass as my brother and I play different kind of jumping and tumbling games. The excitement and happiness of being able to climb and relax in the guava tree will never be forgotten by the years that gone by. All those years of staying in our province are the most precious ones and define most of my childhood days before we moved to my father’s town in Rizal.

The difference of living in rural and urban is that you’ll be surrounded with God’s wonderful creations when you’re in the province. You’ll see mountains, river, never ending fruit trees and animals too. You’ll experience riding on the back of the carabao or horse. Farmers are good riders, just don’t know if they’re using some equestrian apparel or equipment. For me my experience of horse riding is when my uncle put me and my brother on each side of the horse where he put a big basket for us to sit. I still smile when I remember those days.

Living near the city won’t allow such privileges but it has its own advantages as jobs are easier to find here. If you’re not into agricultural field you’ll have a hard time finding a niche there especially if your job is inclined into technology or business. I still prefer living in our place but I’m dreaming of establishing some small business in our hometown so I could be there even on weekends only. Wishes!

What Is A Mother?

'Mother', strength and dignity are her clothing and she smiles at the future. She opens her mouth in wisdom and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue - from the book of proverbs.

I've received many inspiring and touching messages from my friends, single and mothers alike and I'd like to share some of them with you:

A Mom is Gods love in action. She looks with her heart and feels with her eyes. A Mom is the bank where her children deposit all their worries and hurt. A Mom is the cement that keeps herfamily together and her love lasts a lifetime.

A mother has strengths that's amazing.

She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens.
She holds happiness and love.
She smiles when she feels like screaming.
She sings when she feels like crying.
Cries when she is happy and laugh when she is afraid.
Her love is UNCONDITIONAL!
That's what Mothers are!

Summer Get Together At Villa Rubi Rosa

Had some fun last week as we gathered together and traveled to Laguna to spent the day on one of the resorts there. This time we chose Villa Rubi Rosa in Brgy. Pansol in Calamba, Laguna. We always hire private pool resort because we don't want strangers swimming with us :-) Anyway we're a big group so it's really advisable to hire one resort just for us.

Everyone had fun, the elders and the kids alike. I stayed in the kitchen in the morning and after we cooked everything - beef mechado and tilapia we (fellow cooks) dived in the pool after lunch. Josh was so happy having me with him on the other pool because he just stayed in the kids' pool in the morning. The adults acted like kids as they played volleyball, badminton and many other games in the pool.

All kids never seem to get enough of the water, they just appear whenever they're hungry and then they'll go back again in the pool. Josh was the perfect example as you can see in the picture that his eyes are reddish due to prolonged stay in the water. He also learned how to dive this time the reason why he told me when we got home that it's the best swimming he ever had. Funny! He always says that to me when he's happy!

Credit Card Processing

Every business enthusiast are trying to think of unique and perfect way how to make their chosen field of business work the way they want it. Starting up your own business can be a tasking one and you need to have a lot of perseverance, hard work, public relations, marketing strategy and smart finance approach. These factors can be the major ones in planning your own business coupled with your heart’s desire to really succeed in it.

In my observation in order to have a successful business you have to do a feasibility studies first so you’ll know the advantages and disadvantages, then you can start a personal survey on what type of business or service will definitely hit the market. Starting and running a business of your own is not a bed of roses.

To sum up all these factors and must have in order to have a successful business the owner should really be informed of many things and must be aware of what it takes to really succeed on whatever type you want to put up. In many businesses, stores and supermarkets today I’ve observed that they accept credit cards as an added attraction to consumers.

It’s been a remarkable study that a store or merchant accepting credit card payments have more sales than those accepting cash only. That’s why it’s advisable for businessmen to have an account for credit card processing and you can have it at merchantacceptance.com where they offer one account for credit card processing, paypal and google checkout, the convenience of not having multiple accounts. Signing up is easy and quick and you’ll be assured of a good credit card processing services. Go to their site and see their valuable services offered to merchants. By the way terminals and online payment gateway are free so there’s nothing to worry about the cost.

13 Years of Being Married!

Another year has passed and we’ve come a long way from where we first began. We’ve shared many things along the way not only happiness but also sadness, not only success but failures, not only courage but fear and through all the challenges in life we also shared our faith in Jesus. We made it the center of our relationship and every time we felt like giving up it’s the hand of God who always brings us up. How wonderful God’s love is!

Through all the 13 years of having lived as husband and wife I came to know the person that I love dearly. His love holds us together despite many odds and circumstances. Everyday I thanked God that He has given me Ed for my partner in life, not only as husband and father to our kids but also a friend as well. He may not always hear it from me but I love him so much.

Remembering our story and good times together first as friends until we finally took our vows always gives me a smile on my heart and I’ll never be tired of sharing it.

Josh and His Golf

My Josh was very persistent in getting his golf toy and when he reached home he likes to play it all the time. Actually the reason why he wants it is that he’s been playing golf games in my mobile and when he has the chance to play on our PC. I’m strict on my kids when it comes to playing games on the PC. I command the time they should be using and playing online games to discipline them and to prevent game addiction.

Now Josh started again on his never ending questions and this time it’s about golf. I told him that there are golf training aids which can help those who are new to golf and when he grows older and taller he can choose for himself which training aids he wants. That satisfied him.

:Today's Flowers #38

My entry today is like an orchid but actually it's a tree flowers, viewing my first shot you can see a big tree full of these beautiful blooms, I didn't asked the name of the flower tree because the staff of the villa was so busy with their clients. I'm just amazed that a tree can produce such beautiful orchid-like blooms and if it were my tree I wouldn't have shortage for flowers for my mother's vase :-). This shot was taken in Villa Dominga Forest Resort in Indang, Cavite. We'll be there in December again and promised myself to ask the people there what's the name of this tree.
