A Deep Clean Or Basic Clean?

Whether you are looking for someone to clean your home or your business, a cleaning service can offer assistance. Some companies will only offer basic cleaning while others will offer a thorough cleaning. There are a few noticeable differences between a basic cleaning and a deep cleaning.

A basic cleaning is less expensive than a deep cleaning. If a business or home has never been cleaned, then a deep cleaning would probably be the best thing to do for the first time. Many cleaning companies will require a deep cleaning for any new client. A deep cleaning is often a good idea if you are moving from one home or business to another. This will give a fresh smell to the area and get more dirt out of the carpet than a basic cleaning would do, making it as clean as possible for the new tenants. A deep cleaning is also a good idea after a holiday celebration or a special occasion.

Most Minneapolis cleaning services, as well as companies in other cities, will offer mopping, sweeping and vacuuming with a basic cleaning. In the bathroom, the shower is cleaned but is disinfected during a deep cleaning. A deep cleaning also involves cleaning the tile grout as well as the door frames and any decorations that might be on the shelves. A basic cleaning involves emptying the trash can, cleaning the toilets and cleaning the mirrors. The floor is also cleaned. Towels are changed if they are hanging in the bathroom. A deep cleaning of the kitchen includes the interior of the oven and behind the refrigerator. Fingerprints are removed from surfaces, and the inside of the microwave is cleaned. The basic cleaning of the kitchen involves sweeping and mopping, cleaning the surfaces of appliances and counters and cleaning the sinks.

The trash through the home is usually cleaned with a basic service. Dusting is done through the home. A deep cleaning usually includes cleaning the ceiling fans and mini-blinds. Vents are dusted, and linens are often changed on the beds. Laundry can also be done if requested by the home owner.

More Than Just Power Washing

Pressure washing is very useful for cleaning a wide variety of surfaces. From the side of a building to concrete and blacktop, pressure washing can eliminate dirt, ash and other things that ruin the appearance of your property. If you have something that needs to be cleaned, and you feel only a thorough pressure washing will be able to get the surface looking like new, you will need to hire professional power washers. However, all companies that perform power washing are not created equal. You will find a great difference in the prices they charge, as well as level of service they provide. You would be wise to take your time and do some research before you make a commitment to hire a company. Do you need to hire a pressure washing company? Here is how to go about doing it.

Get some references

If you need pressure washing vinyl siding performed, it only makes sense to talk to some people who have had this done to their own vinyl siding. You can learn from their experiences. With any luck, they will be able to pass the name of a power washing company on to you. You should start with people in your family or some of your very close friends. There is a strong possibility that a few of them have used the services of a power washer at some point in their life. Find out if they liked the work that the company did. Did they take steps to protect nearby bushes and trees while they were working? How much did they charge? Getting references from your friends and family is always good because you can trust everything they say to you.

Customer reviews

There is a chance that your friends and family will not be able to provide you with the amount of references you were hoping for. If this is the case, another option would be to hop on the Internet and read some of the reviews of power washing companies. You should be able to find reviews of your local power washing companies written by people who have used their services in the past. These reviews will take the guesswork out of the hiring process. If you see several glowing reviews of the same power washing company, there is a very good chance that they do high quality work. Once you finish reading reviews, call the companies for an estimate.

Make Your Grout Sparkle in Three Simple Steps

While grout can get dirty and cause your tiles to look dingy, you can clean it without much effort. In three simple steps, you can have your tile sparkling again.

Perform a Preliminary Cleaning

Before you can give your grout a heavy duty cleaning, it is critical for you to perform a preliminary cleaning. This step requires that you clean your tile as you normally do. If you are cleaning floor tile, sweep and mop the floor. If you are cleaning wall or counter tiles, spray them with your choice of household cleaner and wipe them down. The preliminary cleaning process will remove any scum and excess dirt.

Clean Using Grout cleaner

Put some quality grout cleaning solution into a spray bottle and spray all of your grout. Let the solution sit for five minutes to dampen the dirt. Allowing the solution to sit will make dirt easier to remove.

Scrub the Grout Clean

After the solution has had time to sit, scrub the grout clean section by section using a hard bristle brush or a toothbrush. Be sure to spray more cleaner over each section as you clean. The wetter the dirt, the easier it will be to remove.

After you have followed the cleaning process, be sure to wipe the tile free of all dirty puddles as these will be made during the cleaning process. If you are cleaning a floor, you can get the dirty puddles up by using a mop. If you are cleaning walls, wipe off the dirt using paper towels. When the puddles have been removed give the tile a normal cleaning one final time. Your tile and grout will look good as new.
