:Today's Flowers #17

This flower is one of the many flowers that caught my eyes when we were at the resort in Barangay Pansol in Calamba, Laguna. We all know that the land of Laguna is known to be fruitful, it was a familiar area where the sweet Lanzones and many fruits abound. It's also my hometown province (I'm half Rizal and half Laguna) and we grow coconut trees, dalandan, lanzones and different vegetables there.

Anyway it was taken in the afternoon past 4pm while the sun is fading away as you can see there's a slight shadow on two petals. I don't know the name of this flower and I can't ask the people there because they're busy watching over their kids on the pool. I'm too shy to ask the lifeguards lol!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to finishing some deadlines tomorrow my plans include general cleaning of the master bedroom which has no occupant for a long time and Sunday, I want to be early for our Sunday Fellowship in Cubao!

After 6!

I’m gaining weight each month and because holidays are coming I should start some discipline on myself now so the holidays’ eat out will not turn me into an overweight lady. My officemate told me to review my eating habit these past few months to check what caused me this weight gains. I was pretty sure that this started when hubby was given a branch assignment which required him to stay until 9-10pm and because it was very far from our house he usually arrived past 10pm.

Most often than not I wait for him so we can have dinner together but this late dinner later gained me some pounds. Actually I wasn’t so conscious about it but when my clothes start to feel tighter or smaller I started to think of ways how to be slimmer for health reasons. I thought of taking some diet pills like alli but I was advised to try eating dinner or heavy snack before 6pm. After 6 in the evening I was instructed not to eat anything or if I couldn’t help it I will eat only raw foods like fruits or some steamed veggies. Of course there’s no limit on water as this will greatly help us avoid feeling hungry.

I enjoy looking at tall ladies, my friend here in the office is one inch taller than me but I don't envy her because my height is just about right for my hubby (I'm 5'3" and he's 5'5")

4. What do other people do that irritate you that you recognize it as a weakness in yourself? When they talked about someone's lives, i recognize it as a weakness in myself if I can't do anything to stop them.

6. Have you ever walked around someone else’s home barefoot? Yes, in the province when the house has no ground floor and the living room is made of wooden floors, it's embarrassing to have your shoes on because the residents were also barefoot.

7. What do you do when you are left home alone? I do lots of things - clean the house, organize my things, cook food, watch television and call some friends
8. When someone is vague or confusing, how do you process it?

I help her/him reconcile with herself/himself because sometimes the reason why the person is vague and confusing is that they're not confident with themselves

Holiday Overtime

It will be December next week and though I’m looking forward to our December camp meeting I’m not that excited about hubby’s work schedule. He’s assigned in their store’s branch in SM North Edsa and they will start a very busy schedule next week and that’s working from 10am up to 10pm on weekdays and up to 12midnight on weekends. Can you believe that? I’m so sad that businessmen think this way forcing employees to work for 12-14 hours without day off.

Some like it though because they can have bigger overtime pay but for me it’s abusing your body. They might end up sick before December ends. I’m glad that my office is not that peak during Christmas season which gives me time to prepare for our camp meeting one day ahead of our departure schedule. Anyway I should be checking the wine of the month club because I’m looking for lower alcohol content wine for our Communion, I need red wine with 5% alcohol content only.

This is the old wishing pond at Manila Zoo which I found so old and looks unkept. The water is so dark makes me wonder if they ever clean the water around it. It's just a waste that they call it a wishing pond. My wish? Hope and wish the management will instruct their staff to clean this pond because it's not attractive anymore.

Weekend Recap-Field Trip

Had a nice time with my three kids on our field trip last Saturday, it was actually the educational tour of my two daughters Gen and Ruth but Redge, Josh and I went with them for a real nice bonding time. Josh was the most excited as he counted the days before the scheduled date. I was a little frantic because I’ve got deadlines to meet and PPP was overflowing with opportunities last Friday before the field trip. It took me up to midnight to pack everything and cook all of our foods.

We arrived at the school 5am and the tour started at 6am. The tour itineraries are Manila Zoo, Gardenia Factory, Galinco Land – maker of Chips Delight, Luisa Ridge Resort and Melgian’s Sweets for our Buko Pie Making Demo.

School Meeting

I asked permission to take a halfday off my work to attend school meeting and to get my daughters’ cards but unfortunately the time that I said I was going I was asked to open my pc again and print some needed documents. It’s always like that - when the time came for me to leave he asks me for something. Anyway it’s just a coincidence but it happens to me always I think for the _th times.

I even joked about this meeting that closing prayer will be the only part in the meeting that I’ll be up to because of the delay. True to my word the parents were just about to go when I arrived. Luckily I was able to gather meeting information and was updated by my friends there. Since Gen has no problem whatsoever with any subject and teachers I don’t have to stay there long. Just peeked at Ruth’s room to talk to her adviser to discuss the letter that I did, I’m the PTA VP and acting as secretary too lol! I’m always the one who do memorandums, reminders and letters to parents for our PTA projects and miscellaneous concerns.

Family Field Trip!

I got ready very early and went to school to pay for my daughters’ field trip activities on Saturday. Josh went with me as usual, he always come with me wherever I go lol! I was joking Josh on the way to school that maybe the reason why he accompanied me is that he wanted to make sure that I’ll pay for him too. Yes he’s coming also even if he’s not studying in the same school and my sister will go with us to help me with my kids. Hubby can’t file a leave from work because season for appliance store is at its peak. Nice that Redge can come with us. So we’re five all in all in my daughters’ field trip – looks like a family excursion!

I love cooking since I’ve cooked my first menu on my fifth grade. My mom is a retired teacher and one of her subjects is Home Economics where she taught cooking, sewing and home management. Exercise and Diet Plan

I’ve been trying to look slimmer on my office clothes but no matter I hide my big tummy it keeps on showing. Maybe I should really be on my toes and start to slim down a bit. I should start to exercise in the morning and cut down half of my sweet desserts mostly chocolate which I love most. Actually I think I have to resort to green tea this time because it will also help my mild constipation. Some diet pill can help but I’ll do it after I’ve established discipline on my exercise and intake of less fatty foods.

Business and Vacation Trip

I was helping a friend in booking for her intended business trip and vacation all-in-one. She was scheduled to meet some people in Las Vegas for a partnership business and she told me that she wanted to stay in hotel in las vegas so she can have the convenience and comfort of staying in a nice hotel while doing her business. The business location will be in the Philippines but her partners wanted her to meet with them in their country because they have very tight schedule. Anyway it was an all-paid trip so my friend agreed and she can have a vacation also.

:Today's Flowers #14

This is Million Flower which photo was taken in one of the parks in Hongkong last summer during one of the business trips in our company. Million flower comes in many colors, red, pink, yellow, white and blue. If you'll see each stem of this flower you'll be amazed at how many flowers stemmed from each tiny branches. I've seen pictures of blue million flower but I'd like to see it personally.

Securing Ourselves

Most people care about having their properties insured so if anything happens they will be secured that these properties will be replaced. Investing takes a great amount of money so people usually the upper class insure their precious house and lots, cars, businesses and other properties for safety purposes.

Security takes on a higher level if your own protection is at stake. So some people get term life insurance to secure not only themselves but their family’s welfare as well. They know that their family will not worry about money if something happens to them. It’s good to think about our future and security protection but we must also remember to secure our spiritual life because no matter what happens God has safely secured good people a place in heaven.

This is Mr. Simpsons, a RoboSapien in Homerstyle! This is a gift to Josh from Bes JennyL from her Australian vacation in JoyD's place. She gave this to Josh last April of this year and since that day Josh included it in his basket of favorite toys. He's been playing with this everyday.

He's so thrilled that the toy can walk and move his arms. Look at the legs, feels like the toy can walk a mile with strong and big legs huh! I have the latest photo of him now but I had problem with uploading photos so this will suffice for now until I solved the problem!

Capturing Special Moments

Having three growing kids give parents a lot of responsibility in all aspects of life. You have to give them everything that they need for them to grow healthy and strong. They also need proper education to equip them with knowledge and skills so they will get good jobs and can face life with confidence. Most importantly they need spiritual awareness and good breeding so they’ll grow up as good individuals with strong faith in God.

Hubby and I always keep in mind to teach them all they need to know guide them in all their school and social activities and give them all the love so they can love others also. Each day we thanked God for giving us the blessing of having our three angels in our life. In their special moments and occasions I tried to capture all memories so when they grew up they will remember the good memories of their childhood. I make it my hobby to catch special moments in my camera and save them in my PC and online storage. I’m trying my hands now on scrapbooking and use my kids’ pictures on them. I know they will like and cherish it.

~ Italy~ to see the famous leaning tower of Pisa and want to ride a boat to pass by the canals in romantic Venice
~ before I go to places outside the Philippines I want to go to Puerto Princesa and Bohol to see magnificent beaches there, I have a school friend in Puerto Princesa who invites me there so accommodation and all necessities will be taken care of.
