When the Kids Reaches Teenage Years

I was having some talk with my friends in school and you know those little mommy talks it’s always about family, children, hubby and chores. Anyway as our kids are mostly of the same ages nearing teens we’re talking about how they grow up so fast like Ruth my eldest who’s grown up really fast this summer vacation. They noticed that she’s a very big girl now just about close to my chin level when we’re standing up close.

We know that when the kids grow up to teenage years they will experience major changes in their bodies especially when the girls had their periods or when their faces experienced having some pimples on their baby face skin. I didn’t have much problem on that area when I was a teen but my cousin did. She started having acne when she’s in secondary schools and always looking for top acne treatments until after college years. She always consults skin experts or dermatologist but the problem still occurs. She tried everything that her doctor advised her and after sometime she achieved great results after she finally found the perfect solution for her. I also noticed that her acne subsided before she reached 30 years of age. I think age has something to do with it also.

Busy Me

Been busy these past three days and I just sneak to blog to update somehow. As it's only now that I got time to do everything I need and I want because I'm just working at home. I'm checking my kids at school at least twice a week and attending school activities. I'm happy that I can now squeeze my time but I'm aware also that I have to manage my time carefully or I'll be running out of time for my tasks' due dates. I thank God that He's giving my sites lot of blessings that I feel I'm more overloaded now than when I'm working full time in office and part time online. Of course I love it I just have to plan my time wisely or else I will not be able to catch up with my assignments.

:Today's Flowers #50

This is the white orchid that we brought home from our hometown in Laguna. My shot seems so dark as I took the shot in the evening with macro setup. My niece's hubby is growing some ornamental plants and flowers including varieties of orchids and my niece picked this one for my Mom as she knows my Mom's flair for beautiful orchids. Travel from Laguna to Rizal seems not so good for the orchid as after two days these blooms withered. It's ok as we have two whole plants with us. Just have to wait for the next blooms.

Happy Monday! Visit more beautiful flowers at Today's Flower => here.

Let Your Site Be Searched Easily

Blogging is my way of expressing my thoughts and experiences in life. It is in sharing those that I came to share also some inspirational thoughts to help people be refreshed and inspired. In this world we live in you cannot have a life without challenges, pressures and worries. The only thing you can do is to have them carefully managed in your life and to look at challenges as a way of being close to God. They say that you feel closer to Him when you have troubles; well it’s right because people have a tendency to pray hard when in need of God’s help. Of course when I share inspirational thoughts I want many people to read what I’ve written and I can’t do my objective if I don’t have many visitors in my site.
Now getting my blog indexed is very important to me especially if it’s a new one. I was just thinking that if it’s not indexed I can’t be found by searchers. Getting traffic to your site is every blogger’s wish and I’m not an exception. Whatever the reason is be it good ranking or traffic you want you can submit your site to free directory submissions which provides a way to get your site indexed by such famous search engines like Google, Yahoo and some other SEO. With this free tool available for bloggers like me I can be searched easily by my friends and those who want to read some of my shared inspirations. More traffic for me too!

Beauty That Radiates!

Women by nature loves being beautiful and some who are vain enough spend time and money to enhance their features for a more beautiful look. I believe in natural beauty and I know there many ways on how to make yourself pretty without changing a bit of the natural you. You can do it by dressing up in fashion, you can make your hair the crowning glory of your face by keeping it long, black and shiny or you can just be a natural person with a strong character that will make you stand out. Beauty is from within and no matter how hard you maintain your physical looks as long as you’re not good from inside it will show also. You should be beautiful inside and out.
Talking about women, beauty and character most women accentuate their looks and status by wearing jewelries. They believe that your choice of jewelry defines your character as well as your status in life. As for me I’m very fond of heart pendant jewelry which shows that no matter how my age would add I’m always be young at heart with my chosen jewelry designs. Sometimes ladies feel beautiful, refreshing and fabulous when they wear jewelries but actually it’s the inner feeling that radiates from them that makes them beautiful and those dazzling jewelries are just there for their indulgence.

: Photohunt 171 : Utensils

I've no doubt some will ask why I've chosen this one for my entry as it looks so old. I've chosen this because this old mortar and pestle lying in our kitchen storage room has some sentimental value for me. This very old kitchen utensil which we've used for so many years before we finally stored it was a 'pasalubong' from my father (deceased) from one of his official business trips in Romblon. When he told me that he's going to Romblon he asked me what I want when he comes back. I said anything that will remind me of Romblon.

After two days he arrived with this marble mortar and pestle and surprised me with an egg that at first glance you'll mistake for the real one. I asked him is that their best in their region? an egg? Then he let me handle the object and I was surprised of the weight, it's a marble egg hahaha! I kept both of his gifts for remembrance so I'm sharing a picture of the marble utensils my dad has brought me 31 years ago, yes that long! I was ten years old then! Now you know the value of marble utensils lol!

Stylish Bathroom Faucets

As I have plenty of time now to attend to my kids and some household things I’ll have some renovation of our bathroom at the end of this month. I’ve been saving some funds for this and I think my savings is enough for my intended bathroom renovation.

As of this week I started canvassing prices for tiles, bowls, bathroom faucet and some other things for bathroom. I want some style this time so I browsed online to see beautiful products and stylish designs. It makes me want for more budget as I know those designs that I’ve seen will cost me more. Anyway I’ll check again my financial allocation for my renovation project.

Serendipity

And...here we go!

1. Failing in a job application is not the end of the world, the job just isn't for you, there's more opportunities elsewhere, try hard and pray, it'll work.

2. Sitting here, listening to the sound of rain falling, I feel relaxed, refreshed and ready to create a poem.

3. Green salad tastes so good!

4. Sometimes, putting others first is a great heroic act but on certain cases it's not good.

5. Sunset is breathtaking, really.

6. Well, maybe there is someone out there who is honest and good enough to be a public servant, I just wish there is.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to have a tight sleep, tomorrow my plans include housekeeping, baking/cooking crinkles and finishing my posts and Sunday, I want to devote my time with my family and to our Sunday fellowship!

Self-Discipline On Foods to Eat

Now that I’m home most of the time I can pick what kind of food I must eat in order to stay healthy and prevent myself from gaining more pounds. Last month was a real struggle for me as it’s my turn over month. I have to keep up with my hectic schedule of blogging at dawn, working in office during the day and doing household works at night then before sleeping checking out some opportunities available. My only rest from all these activities is my travel time from house to office and from office to house. I’ve been called super mom a lot of times and I keep thinking if I’m really like that. I think most Moms are and I’m not an exception.

Being at home away from the busy period of office works give me some small free time for myself which I devote to seriously planning my menu and cooking for my family. This way I can plan my lunch and dinner to consist only of fruits, vegetables and fish recipes. Actually I’ve already worked it out for four days now. If I stick on this balanced diet plan I think I will not anymore think of weight loss supplements to help me shed unwanted pounds. My former officemate tried this kind of diet and she really has a wonderful weight now. I saw her putting off meat whenever she’s eating vegetables with meat ingredients. She’s a disciplined woman when it comes to dieting and it shows in her body. Her petite body can be mistaken for a college student.

Custom Shipping Boxes

In any business concerning sales and services you have to exert much effort in getting clients that will conformer to your offered sales agreement. Like in my job before we sell prepaid cards and sometimes gateway equipment to our valued clients that uses our services for their international calls.

For safety purposes if the clients ordered equipment we delivered it ourselves especially if the order is less than 10 equipment. If the shipment or delivery will involve bulk orders I think it’s proper if we just shipped it and use shipping boxes. When I searched about this thing I learned that cardboard boxes has different styles now and can be customized with printing. I’ve seen some of the products and was quite satisfied with it. It can also be ordered online for more convenience!

I'll call this flower a Star flower even though I don't know the name of this one, the native of Aklan have a different name for this but I just can't remember it, the sound seems strange. Anyway I'm attracted to this bloom because of the unique shape and the beautiful violet color of this one. The shot was taken in half and full bloom where you can see the full shape of a star.

Affordable Online Car Insurance

Having your own car is like having another baby as proper care and maintenance should be done to ensure safety in travel. Your car also reflects your personality, if you’re a neat and organized person it will show in your car. I’ve seen some cars in total disorder and I presume the owner is too busy to spend some time to take care of his car. That’s why I’m proud of my hubby as he takes a lot of time and effort just to clean, check and maintains our car. When he studied driving he also try to learn how to trouble shoot and do some minor repairs. On his very hectic schedule of work he devotes some time just to check our car. He makes sure that we’re also covered with insurance when we travel that’s why he always search for affordable car insurance. Sometimes the cost of insurance prevents some people into updating their car insurance the reason why we should be aware of the rates given by other insurance companies.

For me the best way to look for low cost insurance is through online search as you’ll have the best sites to find what you really need with all the specific requirements on your mind. I helped in looking for the best insurance and I do it by searching through auto insurance comparison site companies. By visiting the sites I’ll get to learn competitive offers which will help you decide on what you really need and what you can afford. It’s very important to compare prices and offers. After all you’re hard-earned money should go to very important expenses only as it’s hard to work and earn money.

It’s really convenient and easy having to find the right insurance for your car online. It’s like shopping online where you can save time, effort and money also as you’ll get a chance to compare prices and get the best deals in town. For those who want to get the best quotation, prices and package you can start choosing your auto insurance online and you’ll experience a lot of savings and more competitive offers. More people are getting accustomed to getting their insurance online so why not try it yourself? Quotations are free anyway!

This is the stairs made from different sizes and shapes of beautiful and hard rocks. I took a snapshot of this during my kids' field trip last year in Luisa Ridge Resort in Calamba, Laguna where they had swimming with their schoolmates after a day of trips to Gardenia, Manila Zoo, Galinco Land and Melgian Sweets. It was a refreshing break from the numerous educational visit to factories.

Getting the Help of Collection Agency

In every business you have to take care of the marketing and collection department in order to ensure good profit. It all starts with promoting your products and services because people need to know what you have to offer and if you’re competitive enough to be chosen from among many other services. Advertisement is a must also as it encourages clients to try and trust your products. If your business has gathered enough exposure and slowly being recognized you’ll have to give extra attention on the billing and collection side. ’m into telecommunications business and been directly involved with the collection department that’s why I know exactly how it goes.

A good product must be backed up by a unique marketing strategy and a good collection department to ensure good business and profitable income. Sometimes the company experience difficulty in collecting payments thus they need the help of professional Collection Agency like American Profit Recovery which provides help to companies manage their accounts receivables. It will unburden the company from loss of uncollected debts and assists them in profit recovery.

I know how hard it is to manage past due accounts as it sometimes becomes bad debts which will slowly make the company suffer from revenue loss. Having a good collection agency will certainly help in dealing with the collection of bad debts by giving a low cost structure payment plan and diplomatic communication to those people with past due accounts. They ensure good profit and great recovery!

10 Favorite Songs of the 80’s

Well that's the prime of my flair for music because I was in my college days then and I've had plenty of songhits collection and lyrics books. When I'm finished with it I ended up with 2 big boxes for songhits and lyrics books only. My collection consists of country songs, ballad, jazz blues and many others. I also have separate collection for specific artists, groups and bands. Those were the days! When I got to know more of Jesus and started my personal relationship with Him in 1992 I began collecting another kind of music, christian music that uplifts spirit from within.

Anyway just for fun I'm listing here my favorite songs of the 80’s when I was just a carefree student. It's hard to choose my top ten but I have to choose so here's the songs:

1. Can't Fight This Feeling - REO Speedowagon
2. Got To Believe In Magic - David Pomeranz
3. When I See You Smile - Bad English
4. Hard Habit To Break - Chicago
5. Every Breath You Take - Police
6. I Won't Hold You Back - Toto
7. It Might Be You - Stephen Bishop
8. All I Need - Jack Wagner
9. Somebody - Depeche Mode
10. Ever Since The World Began - Survivor

Nice Stuff for Your Kids

Little kids are like angels that brings happiness in our lives. They’re a blessing from God and I feel so blessed that God has given me and my hubby three beautiful kids. They’re not perfect but to me they’re the best gift I’ve ever had in my life, I can never forget the unspeakable joy I felt when I gave birth to all of them. When I’m at the office I gather inspiration and strength with the thought that I’m working hard for them. They’re my life and joy and I always want the best for them. All parents actually do.

Having three children gave me a lot of shopping fun as I search and look for anything that will suit them best be it in clothes, shoes, toys and other kids’ accessories. It’s a lot more exciting when I discovered Stylehive.com which offers a lot about items and gifts for big and little kids. I just love browsing and looking at their cute and lovable items especially the clothes that will surely look nice in my girls. My little Josh would love having those toys in his collection. When it comes to my children I prefer stores that provide wide selection of goodies and this site satisfies my passion for choosing the best for my kids. I’m sure other Mommies out there would love to visit this site also.

Online Auctions

I love shopping but sometimes I’m a whimsical shopper. I don’t shop often but when I shop I buy plenty that’s good for many occasions. Now that I have three kids I normally shop for them on some occasions like school openings, birthdays, special school activities, camp fellowships and all the regular holidays of the year. It’s different when you have kids of your own you always think of them whenever you see nice clothes, shoes, toys and other kids stuff.

Since I’m always on the net I frequently visit sites that offer online shopping and there I found something that would help those who love shopping. I can now shop for less with the help of online auctions which gives me lesser price for the things I want for myself and my family. Actually I really love going to auctions but since I don’t have plenty of time I stopped from going. Now it’s easier since it’s online and I can do this in the comfort and convenience of my own home.

I'm Happy!

Well it’s the start of my last week in my work and I can’t contain my excitement that every time I passed our building guard I count to him the days that I’ll be staying in the office. He would smile at me and just nod understanding my happiness that finally I was approaching my last days of working in my 16-year old job. Actually I’ve got plenty of things to do before I finally bid goodbye as I’m going to finalize packing various boxes of my old documents and files. I hope I’ll be able to concentrate on it now because last week my boss asked me to register a new business in one of the license giving agencies. I’m just waiting approval for it and will be finishing it soon.

Moving Out

It’s the first day of the working week again and I’m glad it’s gonna be my last week or working in office and I’ll start working at home soon. And because it’s Monday again I’m expecting heavy traffic along Ortigas Avenue especially now that rain is starting to fall as early as 6 in the morning.

Some of my friends who can’t bear the everyday traffic going to office transferred to another location outside our area to prevent themselves from getting late. I even know one family who moved out of their house to live near their working place. It’s hard to change house location as you’ll have to move everything and hire someone who will do it for you. Here in the Philippines some uses trucking to move appliances but in some countries like in New York they hire the services of moving companies New York to help them with their long distance move and you can ask for quotation to compare prices before you sign up in moving.

Transferring to another place can be a little daunting at first but exciting as well. You’ll get to meet new friends and opens your horizon to a new way of life. For me it gives new hope and progress. No need to worry as it all depends on your outlook in life.

The Big Fat Duck Cookbook

Since school days I’ve been a wide reader girl and I’ve collected plenty of books along the way which I’ve given to my friends because I shifted priority in the kind of books I read. I love reading adventure, science fiction, romance and some subscription books like reader’s digest and more. Now I shifted my interest into inspirational books that will help me in sharing thoughts in my sites. I also collect health and recipe books because I discovered my love for cooking and baking. Since Mom is also a good cook I gained some tips from her to enhance my hobby and skills. Her books are now mine because she lovingly gave them to me as I’m the one who took after her flair for cooking.

Actually I started a food blog sometime last year to share my cooking adventures but due to a very busy schedule I didn’t pursue that blog. I was thinking of continuing it because that’s where I’ll put all the adventurous side of me when it comes to cooking. I cook with my heart and I don’t follow all the rules, I follow my taste and what I think will make my loved ones happy. I just hope I’ll be able to revive it as I’m inspired by what I read online on Heston Blumenthal's the big fat duck cookbook which highlights the story of the restaurant, the chef and how his passion for cooking made him rise above his colleagues. Oh how I love to see the book’s various recipes; I must have one of them so I can try it for myself.

Thankful Thursday - God's Confirmation

It was indeed a very thankful Thursday for me as God showed his confirmation to my decision of leaving my work to prioritize my family. God has always been my guide in many decisions I've made in my life be it minor or major. My decision to retire from my working career has raised some questions among my colleagues and friends and they just can't believe that I'll be leaving my present job without transferring to a more lucrative source of income. Well it's all true I'm leaving my 16-year old job and I'm staying at home to take care of my family.

God has been really good on me that He prepared the way for this day. He let me learn some other ways to earn money two years ago so when the time comes for me to choose between resigning or staying I'll be able to choose what I really want. Of course I can't just turn my back on my income and stay at home doing nothing. I have to earn and help my hubby for our kids and God is so good He gave me the chance and opportunity to earn while staying at home. I feel so blessed.

Happy Thankful Thursday to all! God bless!

What are you thankful for?

Prevent Sickness from Entering Your Home

I was so happy staying in the house now; I wasn’t able to come to work due to some important matters to attend to. As I’m waiting for someone here in the house I just consumed my time doing all my due assignments online so that my day wouldn’t be empty. I’m glad that Josh is with me as I’m writing as my mind will never run out of ideas. Josh is always asking some questions about almost anything that he can think of and that inspires me to write as he has plenty of ideas to help me. He’s a very active boy and I pray everyday that sickness will not enter our house because it’s hard when someone is sick in the house.

When my kids are sick I feel sick too! Anyway I just make sure that they eat the right foods and take their vitamins regularly to avoid sickness. It’s hard to be sick and hospitalized because if your condition gets worse you’ll experience having dextrose attach to your arms and sometimes they will also add catheter to avoid spills on your bed. There are many things that I don’t like in a hospital so it’s better to prevent sickness to avoid that place.

Online Studies

I’ve been thinking of the things that I would do when I’m really out of my office work. Of course I’ll concentrate on my family, church, my freelance writing and my blogging which makes me happy. Aside from this I want to study further but when I thought of the time that it will cost me I started to decline that thought in my mind. Little did I know that there’s an online university degree available in the net I should have decided differently. Online studies have been in the field for sometime now but I never really had a serious consideration in the past because my schedule is full. This is just the right one for me as I want to study further without the pressures of going to a regular school. I just have to choose the programs that I prefer to study.

Romantic Vacation for Two

For newly weds and vacationing couples there’s a lot of vacationing ideas that might interest them but sometimes the places that you go seems very crowded and not so romantic at all. It’s just a waste of money if you go on places like that because you’ll be spending your money and after that you’ll not be satisfied. I suggest that you open your minds to other options that might interest both parties.

First things first you must know what the two of you are most inclined to then balance your budget. Well even though you want a certain place and then it’s not affordable it wouldn’t be so much fun as you’ll go home without money on the pocket. Vacationing is good as long as you both enjoy it and you can afford it. For some romantic ideas if you really want a very nice one I suggest a romantic cancun vacation in Mexico where you can relax amidst the white-sand beach resort and enjoy a sumptuous dinner after that or just be content in visiting the secluded coves and other scenic areas. It would be a very memorable vacation and its worth all your money.

A Friend Also

Through all my difficult schedule and never ending tasks to do I keep reminding myself that it’s only a matter of time now before I can get some rest from doing multiple jobs. Everyday of my life the only rest that I have is my travel from my house to my office, I’m like a machine. I’m just happy that hubby supports me in all that I do extending his hands on whatever household tasks he could share doing with me even if his schedule is very hectic also. I know not every husband can do that for their wives and I’m very thankful that God has given him to me, not only a husband but a friend also who understands my situation always. It’s only a matter of days now and my time schedule will be lighter as I’m going to be a work-at-home Mom soon. I’m looking forward to it!

Nice Plan on a Good Morning!

I woke up very early today to do my writing assignment and as early as this time I'm planning my time schedule for the day. I must learn now how to use my time wisely or I'll run out of time for my due dates. I'm studying further how to do writing in a concise manner as I sometimes tend to write in lengthy posts.

Actually my ideas and thoughts just flows from my mind endlessly and I tend to write it all in one snap thus giving me lengthy posts which consumes my time more. It's good to doing this if I have the luxury of time but for this day I should discipline myself on a concise and quality write ups if I want to be able to finish it all.

It's a good morning and it's a good plan for me. Today is our weekly Wednesday bible study and I should be able to post everything before I leave the house for my BS.

Stock trading is a lucrative source of income but it’s not a stable one as stock increase and decrease. I don’t know a thing about this field but my colleagues taught me some basic information and tips on how this trading business is going on. Even if he familiarized me a little about it I think I should learn some more before even attempting to go into this business. As this area intrigues me I browsed a site online a site that offers stock options trading software that can help novice traders to have proper knowledge, control their stocks and gain profits from stock. It has a lot to offer and to someone as interested as my colleague I think this is the right one to enhance his knowledge and get the best returns on his stocks.

Josh Review

Yesterday night after reaching home Josh was wide awake and waiting for me to do some reviewers for him. I wondered why he’s so excited now with his test. In the past two years of his studies he never found the need for review before his test and he’s proved that he can answer the test correctly. I just read to him and review him verbally during periodical tests. Though he’s proven that he can be the first in their class without sit-in tutorials by me I still want him to review what they’ve studied in school for whatever small areas that he’ll find hard. It’s also a bonding moment for kids and parents so I encourage Josh to do review with me. Now suddenly he changed his mind and was waiting for me to do some tutorial on him. I was happy about this.

Personalized Wedding Favors

I’ve always loved helping my friends with their wedding essentials because I know how hard it is to prepare everything all on your own. I know that others get their own wedding coordinator to reduce their stress on wedding preparations but for me I still want my personal touch on everything about my wedding. It’s a once in a lifetime event so you must personally savor the pressures, stress, excitement, happiness and every little thing connected with your wedding. Anyway after all those tasking scheduling and preparation everything will pay off on your wedding day.

I still remember all my church mates, cousins and close friends made themselves busy with helping us with flower arrangements, wedding program and hosting and those early preparations of making unique personalized wedding favors. It was my bestfriend JennyL who helped me with buying the raw materials and designing the wedding favors. It was a product of love and friendship and it’s as if they’re all concerned with my wedding day. It was a touching day for me knowing my friends and family love me so much.

More of the Wonders of Bananas!

glitter-graphics.com

There's just so much you have to know about this wonder fruit which is also the common fruit among Filipino household that sometimes I've been wondering why it's not been voted as the Philippine fruit :-) Almost 99% of Filipinos love this fruit which has many varieties such as Lakatan, Latundan, Señorita and some others. They also differ in colors. There's also the Saba variety which is the common snack here in the country which when cooked can give you different delicious recipes and forms like Turon, Banana-Q, Saba con Hielo, Saba Fritters, Maruya, Sweetened Saba in Sauce.

Here are additional uses of this wonder banana:

Overweight and at work?
Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and chips. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

Ulcers:
The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

Temperature control: For The Ladies
Many other cultures see bananas as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand, for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD):
Bananas can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer tryptophan.

Smoking:
Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.

Stress:
Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium banana snack.

Strokes:
According to research in "The New England Journal of Medicine," eating bananas as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%!

So, bananas are really a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrates, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around.

So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, "A banana a day keeps the doctor away!"

Wonder Banana!

After Reading THIS, you'll NEVER look at a banana in the same way again!

Bananas Containing three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber, a banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes. But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Depression:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

PMS: For The Ladies
Forget the pills -- eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

Anemia:
High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.

Blood Pressure:
This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it the perfect way to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

Brain Power:
200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert..

Constipation: For The Ladies
High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

Hangovers:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

Heartburn:
Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.

Morning Sickness: For The Ladies
Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

Mosquito bites:
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

Nerves:
Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.

Seems like this wonderful fruit which is very common in every Filipinos' table has a lot to contribute in our health chart and so I'll be posting another for more!

:Today's Flowers #47

It's a good and happy Monday morning and I want to start it with my entry this week for Today's Flowers. I have this very exotic (for me) lavender and white orchid to post. I've always considered lavender as an exotic color though my Mom wouldn't have lavender colored flowers in her garden, it's not her color because she identifies it as flowers for the dead. Anyway for me it's very elegant and beautiful and though I can't have it on our garden I can have it here in my blog :-). This picture was taken in Nabas, Aklan together with many of my flower entries here! The soil was very rich there that's why flowers blooms beautifully.

Want to see more beautiful flowers? Visit Today's Flower => here.
