Recreational Game Bonding with the Family

Having a big family requires a lot of attention and recreational time for the kids to enjoy family bonding together. It’s when they spend their time away from school and from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. As a Mom I usually spend my weekends cooking for my family for them to enjoy not just our time together but their favorite foods as well especially when I have free days away from my work. At the end of the day we spend the rest of our time either watching netflix shows or playing games be it real games or free online games. Kids these days are fond of playing online games which requires creativity and fun actions.

My kids enjoy fast paced games like network gaming, word games or puzzles that brings out the best of their intellects, as long as the challenge is there they seem to like it. I join them when they play online word puzzles like scramble video game.  The game is very interesting and having played scrabble and word factory games a lot I seem to enjoy it. In this game you just use whatever letter tiles you see in the playing field to create words, you type it and submit. I need to be fast in creating and submitting words or the letters will pile up and gets jumbled. I get excited whenever I finish one level after another. It brings out the best of my vocabulary words and I also learn from it. I’m actually amazed that my kids are even faster that I am.

My son who loves blocks usually plays minecraft and tetra blocks game as he feels good setting up all those blocks into some sort of order. Though it’s easy on the starting point it gets harder when you miss the right order of blocks and the tower gets higher and movements get faster. Well this is also my favorite and I can play it with much ease and comfort just like my son. We reached higher points than others and we just love playing it over and over again especially when we see the stars brighten upon connecting them next to each other. Games can really make you young at heart.

My husband sometimes splurge into playing to rest his mind off his busy work schedule but he relaxes when playing the good old school game solitaire as it’s a really relaxing game where you can play at your own pace, just thinking on the moves and completing the pile of cards. He just needs some concentration and he can enjoy it without pressure. Well everyone has their own preferences when choosing games and it always depends on what triggers your curiosity or what challenges you more. What matters also is enjoying every minute of playing so it will be a happy moment not just for you but for the whole family as well. So whenever you have free time from your busy work days start your own family game bonding and look out for some free, fun games on solitaire.org.

Here are three habits to start now.

Date Your Spouse

While dates and dating are frequent in the days and weeks prior to marriage, it can be easy to let them start falling away with time and the busy-ness of life and children and career obligations. Find a way to commit to a regular date night weekly or bi-weekly and be flexible with how those look in different stages of life. Spending time creating a date night or date day bucket list and taking turns planning the dates is a fun and easy to keep your connection alive.

Ask for Help

Whether you have conflict causing issues or not, it is never a bad time to start couples counseling Woodcliff Lake NJ. Finding a quality couples counselor will give both of you the time and space with a neutral third party to help you develop healthy communication patterns and give you ideas on how to work through conflict. Just like most people regularly go to their doctor for preventive checks, a skilled couples counselor can help you build and maintain your marriage while also providing help when there are challenges.

Expectations

Typically, expectations are where we most struggle in relationships. Whether there are unstated expectations, unmet expectations or unrealized expectations, expectations hold a lot of power in relationships. Once recognized, communicated and discussed many times the difficulties or conflicts that start from expectations can be understood and healed. Finding a rhythm of regularly checking in on expectations and feelings will help strengthen your marriage.

Three Gift Ideas for a Friend Who Just Had a Baby

Steelers Baby Boy Onesie, Bib & Cap Set

If you have a friend who just had a baby, you probably want to get her a gift. There are many traditional gifts you can give a mom and a new baby. Look at three gift ideas that are alternatives to traditional gifts for new moms.

A Piece of Artwork for the Nursery

Your friend has likely told you about the colors of her baby’s nursery as well as some of the furnishings she’s picked out. Maybe you’ve even had a tour! Think about getting a piece of artwork for the baby’s nursery. It could be a framed photo of you and the baby’s mom that your friend will love. Or, go with a print of a famous character from a fairy tale. Make sure the colors of your print go with what your friend has in her baby’s nursery, so it will flow with the décor.

A Fun Gift Related to an Interest of the Mom

Maybe your friend is a fan of sports. Perhaps she likes a particular professional football team. If so, get her an item for the new baby that reflects her love for her team. An example would be a steelers bucket hat. Every time she puts the gift on her baby, she will remember you and your kindness toward her at the birth of her child.

A Meaningful Storybook

Most moms want to spend some time reading to their baby. Why not give your friend a classic storybook or picture book featuring a famous character? If your friend likes the story herself, she’s going to love the idea of reading it to her baby. If you go with this gift, be sure to write a message inside the cover to let your friend know how you feel about your friendship with her.

Finally, giving some thought to what you’ll give your friend allows you to get a gift she will love. After her baby grows out of the gift, it will become a beloved keepsake.

Teas To Avoid During Pregnancy: Learn How To Prevent Problems During Pregnancy

Tea drinking has been a natural part of the tradition throughout the world. Tea consuming is an ancient habit. But to drink or not to drink during pregnancy, that is the question.

To drink or not to drink during pregnancy, that is the question.

Here is some information that hopefully will help you with your decision making around something a pregnant woman needs.

Green Tea and Pregnancy is a common and very relevant topic for expectant mothers and women who are thinking of conceiving. If you love your green tea like  most do, you will have to make a decision about whether to drink green tea during pregnancy, be it in moderation or not at all.

Most practitioners will tell you to err on the side of caution and to avoid caffeine or cut back on your caffeine intake to a "moderate level". The definition of moderate varies anywhere between 150mg - 300 mg.

But that again can be somewhat misleading. How much caffeine is in a cup depends on the type of tea and the strength of the brew. Flushing out the first brew will eliminate some of the caffeine content so that may help somewhat. If you are in any way concerned, eliminate caffeine from your diet while you're pregnant. If it's hard to do it cold turkey, cut down on it slowly

First and foremost, Green Tea contains caffeine, so keeping that in mind, consumption should be limited accordingly during pregnancy.

How does green tea affect my pregnancy and baby?

l  Caffeine is a stimulant and diuretic:

As a stimulant, it increases your blood pressure and heart rate, which is not recommended during pregnancy. As a diuretic, it increases the frequency of urination which may cause reduction in your body fluid levels leading to dehydration.

l  Caffeine crosses the placenta to your baby:

As an adult, your body may be able to handle the caffeine you consume, but your baby's metabolism is in the growing stages and it can be difficult for the fetus to metabolize the caffeine.

l  Caffeine causes infertility

Some studies have shown the link between high levels of caffeine consumption and infertility.

l  Caffeine causes birth defects

Studies on animals have shown that caffeine causes birth defects, increased risk of low-birth weight and preterm delivery. However, the studies are inconclusive.

l  EGCG may reduce folate levels

Green Tea Pregnancy Research has also shown that high levels of Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG) that active compound found in green tea may reduce folate levels.

The study showed that women who drink high levels of green tea during conception and pregnancy many place the fetus at risk for neural tube disorders. Neural tube defects such as spina bifida are usually associated with folic acid deficiency.

In fact herbal tea, such as Chamomile tea, sage tea, parsley tea, teas with aloe, coltsfoot, juniper berries, pennyroyal, buckthorn bark, comfrey, labrador tea, sassafras, duck roots, lobelia and senna leaves should be avoided during pregnancy.

Chamomile tea has been popular for use as a soothing tea. This tea can be helpful in relieving upset stomachs and sleeping disorders. It sounds like something a pregnant woman needs. Sleeping problems and nausea frequently affect women during pregnancy which could result in the conclusion that this tea is good during pregnancy. But, this is not the whole story.

The herb chamomile is part of the Aster family. The FDA has included it on a list of herbs generally regarded as safe. There is one word of caution if you are allergic to ragweed, daisy flowers or plants in the Aster family, you should avoid chamomile whether or not you are pregnant!

Legal Help in Going Through Difficult Moments

The experience of going through a divorce is never an easy one, even in the most “amicable” situations. A divorce signifies a major ending; the loss of a once happy possibility. All of this can be very hard to endure, and some couples who face the dissolution of their marriage find themselves feeling lost and emotionally at sea. Unfortunately, these difficult emotions come in just as serious issues must be faced regarding finances, the division of property, and in some cases, issues about child custody.

Not an Easy Situation

Though some couples opt to go through a “do it yourself” divorce, it’s rare for that approach to go smoothly if there is money, property and the welfare of children involved. All of this is why couples in the Illinois area who are facing the end of their partnership should consult an experienced divorce lawyer in Lake Forest IL. An experienced attorney can guide the process and help to ease tensions, to ensure that the ultimate outcome is as positive as possible.

An experienced divorce lawyer can act as a mediator between the two parties in a divorce, and work within the law to keep the negotiations even keel. There’s no doubt that a divorce can be a messy situation, and in cases where there are children involved, there may be ongoing legal issues to deal with even after the divorce is final. These issues can involve visitation, custody arrangement and the financial responsibilities that come with caring for children. No, none of this is easy, but by retaining the best legal counsel available to negotiate a divorce, you have the best possible chance at coming out with a reasonable outcome. So, if you are facing the end of a marriage, don't go it alone. Research the best law offices in your area, and get help today.

Elder Care Assistance Without Leaving Their Homes

Elderly Home Care Services

Assisted living at home services

When a loved one reaches their twilight years, they might find it difficult to be at home on their own. However, more and more senior citizens are refusing to move-in to a nursing home. People want to maintain their independence and live as freely as they always have. Understandably, this can cause a lot of stress and worry on part of their loved ones. However, it doesn't have to. Thanks to modern advancements in technology and medical care, the elderly can maintain their independence for much longer than they originally could. Even those with relatively severe health problems can still maintain their independence with a bit of assistance.

Elder care assistance is a branch of home healthcare that consists of a trained professional visiting your loved one for a set amount of time each day to ensure their needs are met. This allows an elderly person to maintain they're independence and continue living at home. It just means they will have someone checking in on them from time to time. Many elderly people appreciate this, as it provides them with someone to talk to you and also get some someone that can take them around town if they do not feel safe driving.

Home healthcare also ensures your loved one will be receiving their medication on time each day. Because all home healthcare professionals are medically trained, they will be able to identify potential health problems before those problems can become something to worry about. If your loved ones are of sound mind and want to maintain their independence and continue living at home, talk to them about getting a bit of assistance throughout the day. Tell them that you worry about them, and that this method would allow them to keep their freedom but would give you peace of mind.

Tips for Planning a Multi-Generational Vacation

When you’re planning a vacation that includes your immediate family and extended family, balance is the key to success. If you’re the coordinator of the vacation, you’ll have the responsibility of finding accommodations and activities that will satisfy the group.

Deciding on a Location

If the family members that will be included in your vacation adventure live in different areas, you’ll need to determine how far everyone is willing to travel and what type of area they want to vacation in. Once you make this determination you can proceed with the process of securing reservations and planning an itinerary.

Accommodations

The place you’re staying at will be home base for everyone. Make a list of the people who will be going on the vacation. If certain family members require specific accommodations due to physical limitations, be sure to note that. Remember that this group of people are not accustomed to spending time together. If you’re interested in securing a vacation house through north carolina coast rentals, your vacation can get off to a good start if the house you rent is large enough for the number of people that will be sharing it. A cramped vacation home can negatively impact the entire vacation experience.

Activities

If your vacation group includes kids, teens, adults and seniors, you’ll need to be sure that the area you’re vacationing in has activities that all age levels can enjoy. You may want to devise a schedule so that child care responsibilities are shared giving parents the opportunity to enjoy some time together without the kids.

Meals

A multi-generational vacation can offer everyone the opportunity to enjoy family time together. Designating certain meal times as family time is a great way for everyone to get together, share memoires and catch up on family news. Food preparation and clean-up should be a shared activity.

Pre-planning can take away the stress that can accompany a multi-family vacation. You want to do all you can to assure many happy memories are made on this vacation.

4 Things Young Couples Should Do Before Moving In Together

Photo of Kerby's Furniture - Mesa, AZ, United States

Photo of Kerby's Furniture - Mesa, AZ, United States

Every young couple dreams of the day that they can finally live with the person that they love. While it can be very exciting, there is a big list of important things to do before moving day arrives. Having everything planned and prepared will keep lines of communication clear and open during the chaotic, yet exciting, moving process.

Finding Reliable Internet Service Providers

In some locations, reliable internet service providers are hard to come across, especially in rural areas. For areas with a higher population density, there might actually be competition between providers. Check with multiple companies to get quotes, average installation waits, installation fees, and other important information. For many families, internet is a necessity; this is especially true for those who work from home frequently.

Assessing Average Work Commutes

While moving across a city might not seem like a big deal, it can have a very big impact on work commutes. What might have been a 5 minute commute to work could potentially become a half hour's commute or longer. If the commute seems to be unbearable for one or both partners, there may be a bit of compromising that needs to be done. One or both individuals could transfer to a branch near the new home, closer potential properties could be viewed, or the affected individual could work at home on some days rather than at the office.

Finding Furniture for the Home

Few things are as uncomfortable as having to sit or sleep on the floor in a new home. Instead, arrange for furniture to be delivered before moving in. Living room furniture in Mesa is very important for hosting guests during the house warming phase, and for unwinding after work. A more laborious option is to thrift shop for furniture and store it in a storage unit until moving day comes; then, move it again into the new home.

Setting Ground Rules and Emergency Planning

Individuals come from many different backgrounds, with many being raised with different sets of values, rules, or emergency planning procedures. Common household chores and rules should be discussed before committing to a new home together. For example, if one individual is particularly clumsy, the other might prefer a no food rule in any room but the kitchen to prevent messes and pests. Emergency planning, such as what to do during an earthquake or fire, is vital as well. One another should be accounted for, and both should know what few belongings in the home should be evacuated on a last minute basis.

Moving in together requires a lot of preparation. For the young couple with stars in their eyes, every step of this process is an exciting step towards living their lives together.

How to Work from Home if You Have a Rambunctious Toddler

Working from home is a nice change of pace from the ins and outs of a noisy, stressful office. However, that all changes when you have kids—especially when those kids become rambunctious, into-everything toddlers. So, can you still work from home AND watch a wild-and-crazy kiddo at the same time? You bet—and here’s how.

Be Realistic in Your Schedules and Routines

Most moms and dads schedule their at-home jobs around their toddler’s sleep schedules. A few hours at night, an hour at naptime—you get the idea. However, be realistic in setting these routines. Some days, your toddler might not want a nap. Or, they might be sick and not go to sleep till well after 3am. And all of those unexpected things are okay, but prepare for them. Don’t push yourself too hard, because toddlers can derail your work ethic at moments when you least expect it. Be flexible to changes.

Designate a Kid-Free Office Area in Your Home

Ask your partner to watch your kiddos for an hour or two, then head to your office. Make this a kid-free zone—unless there’s an emergency. When mom or dad is in the office, they are working and shouldn’t be disturbed. If you instill this in your youngster from early on, they will comprehend and understand the rules of your at-home work later in their childhood.

Use Your Work Times Wisely

Instead of playing a game, checking your social media accounts, or mindlessly shopping for whatever strikes your fancy, use your work time to actually work. If your schedule or routine falls into place, you should take the opportunity. Use your work time wisely to get things done. And, if you have extra time, work ahead so there will be less to do next time. It’s a win-win. You could even opt for rollaway bed rentals for your office, where your kiddo can nap while you toil away at your desk.

Enlist the Help of Others

When you absolutely MUST work to pay bills and making a living from home, you might need to ask for help or hire a babysitter for an hour or two. Just retire to your office for a while, and leave the helper with your kiddo. You’ll still be home, still be available, but still be able to get your work done and turned in on time.

Working from home, especially when you have a family, is a daunting task—but it can be done. As long as you remember to be flexible, roll with the proverbial punches, and ask for help when you need it, you are golden as an awesome full-time parent that just happens to be a hardcore at-home worker too.

Tips for Baby Proofing your Home

All mothers look forward to their baby's’ first steps with a lot of emotion and this usually happens between the 9th and 12th month but before then, there is a lot of crawling. This usually starts from the 8th month, you will, therefore, want to start the process of baby-proofing your house before then.
The more curious and energetic ones seem to be able to roam all around the house, upsetting chairs, spilling liquids and in some cases could even hurt themselves if no adult is around to watch them.

According to statistics, unintentional injury ranks as one of the top reasons for infant mortality in the US. This is why baby proofing your house is a must; here are a few tips from our friends at Midatlantic Obgyn in Fairfax County, Virginia to help you get started.

1. First, you need to get down on all fours, the goal of this is to be able to see the house through your baby’s eyes. This position will bring you on almost the same level with your baby as you crawl through the house spotting any potential safety hazards such as toxic chemicals, choking hazards and electrical outlets.

2. To avoid electrocution, be sure to unplug all electrical appliances such as flat irons, electric irons etc as soon as you are done with them; it is common knowledge that electrical appliances and water don’t always lead to happy endings. Some of these appliances may still be hot from use so remember to put them away safely. While we are on the subject of electricity, take a quick trip to an appliance store and get yourself a bunch of outlet protectors for your outlets, especially those within easy reach of your baby.

3. Lock away all utensils or tools with sharp edges such as knives, forks, screwdrivers, sewing needles and pins in protective containers or hard-to-reach drawers and cupboards. You also do not want to keep spears, gardening shears and prongs anywhere within easy reach.

4. Pills are very easy to pick up and swallow as well, so ensure all medicines are stored in their original containers and placed inside the medicine cabinet or in a first aid box with locks.

5. If you live somewhere with stairs, look into installing safety gates; they will prevent your baby from toppling down the stairs. Safety gates should be installed both at the top and the bottom of the stairs, they also help to keep your babies from places you don’t want them getting into like the kitchen or a crafts room.

Mistakes To Avoid When Decorating A Nursery

One of the most exciting parts of expecting a new child is decorating the nursery. This is a rite of passage that all couples look forward to doing together. However, there are some common mistakes that expecting parents make when they're decorating a nursery. To ensure that you don't end up with a nursery that you're not completely happy with, here are the mistakes to avoid when decorating a nursery.

Choosing Style Over Comfort

Everyone dreams of having a chic, sophisticated nursery that looks like it could be featured in a fancy decor magazine. However, it's important to remember that comfort is really important when it comes to a nursery. When you have a new baby, the last thing you want is a nursery that's hard, sterile or uncomfortable. For example, you'll be a lot happier that you went with plush animal mats instead of a firm, trendy rug.

Spending Too Much Money

Of course there are some items that you'll want to invest in or splurge on, but it's important to remember that caring for a new baby is a messy undertaking. There's no point in spending a fortune on a designer blanket or changing table slipcover only for it to be stained the first week that your baby is home from the hospital. Look for items that are on sale or reach out to family members to see if they have any old items they're not using. You'll be grateful that you didn't spend a fortune should the item ever be damaged.

Decorating A Nursery That's Too Juvenile

When you're decorating a nursery, you're absolutely trying to create a space that's suitable to a tiny infant. However, it's important to remember that your baby is eventually going to grow. Someday, you might need to redo the room to create a space that's suited for a child or adolescent. When selecting wall colors or window treatments, choose items that can easily grow with the child.

If you avoid these common mistakes, you'll have a wonderful time decorating your baby's nursery. This is an exciting time and picking out items for your nursery should be fun, not stressful.

Easing the Transition From Home to College

Heading off to college is the beginning of a new phase of a teenager’s journey through life. Many teens see this as a step up on the maturity level. They may think that the term homesick isn’t in alignment with their more mature phase of life, yet once they arrive at college they realize the transition separates them from some familiarities that they are sure to miss. Periodically sending a gift basket to your teen can make the transition from home to college less stressful.

Arriving at a New Place

The first few weeks of living away from home can be emotionally difficult for your teenager. While you want to make the adjustment period easier for them, you don’t want to embarrass them with overly sentimental gifts. Typically, a gift of food is something that almost anyone would be pleased with. Candy gift baskets are an ideal way to brighten the day for your college kid. Not only will they be delighted to receive some of their favorite candy, sharing the candy with some newly-made friends can help with the bonding process.

Keeping a Connection to Home

When kids are away at college, they miss out on some of the family traditions. If one of your traditions was to enjoy the game on the big screen TV at home or if you had a designated family movie night, your teen might feel a twinge of sadness when they realize they’re missing out on that family togetherness. To retain that feeling of connectedness with them, you might want to encourage them to plan a game night or movie night with friends and surprise them with a basket filled with chips, candy and cookies for all them to share and enjoy. A custom snack basket that contains items you typically had at home will have special significance for your teen.

Easing Stress

College life can be stressful, especially at exam time. The arrival of a perky, colorful flower, pet or sports theme cookie bouquet can lessen the tension of study time. Munching on cookies can make studying a more pleasant experience.

Whether you call it homesickness or transition stress, college life is a change for teens. Food baskets have a way of easing some of the emotional pressure that is simply a part of the maturing process.

Creative Ways to Maximize Family Time

multi-colored cornhole lights

In an increasingly fast-paced, high-tech world, it can be difficult to find quality time to spend together as a family. While household chores like meal preparation, laundry and school work are essential, they also leave less time for you to spend with the ones you love. Here are a few creative ways to maximize your family time:

Use What You Have

One smart way to free up some time is to take advantage of the resources you already have. If you have a regular babysitter, ask them to prepare dinner, clean up toys or fold clothes. Contact a local dry cleaner to see if they offer an affordable laundry service. Rather than running errands throughout the week, designate one day to run all of your errands. Take some time to coordinate errands in advance based on their location, this will allow you to complete them in the least amount of time. If you have teenagers in the home, consider ways that they can help with some of these tasks. Having them clean out the garage or pick up the laundry can free up time for you to dedicate to other things.

Involve the Children

Household chores can be a great opportunity to get the whole family involved. If you have younger children, encourage them to help you fold clothes or set the dinner table. Not only will this keep them active and away from the television, but it also teaches them valuable skills. Teaching children to put their own toys away can help them become more tidy and independent as they develop into young adults. To incentivize household chores and make them more fun, consider making a game out of it. Divide a pile of laundry equally among each family member. The first one done gets a special prize such as a popsicle or 30 minutes of a television show of their choice.

Play Learning Games

Lazy weekend afternoons are the perfect time to bring out some learning games. For young children, consider using cornhole lights to teach them their primary colors. These lights are very inexpensive and can be purchased online at sites like CustomCorntoss.com. For older children, look for spelling or word games to help them improve their vocabulary.

Between work, school and extracurricular activities, it can be difficult to carve out time for family activities. These 3 tricks will help you simplify your schedule and enjoy quality family time.

A Healthy Mom

Health is Wealth.

If you’re taking care of yourself to obtain a healthy body and mind you’re luckier than those wealthy individuals who are suffering from terminal sickness. Each individual has their own eating habit and way of living. With these ways they have developed throughout their life it practically defines their health status.

You are What You Eat.
Your health will depend on the foods you eat and your activities in life. If your menu always consist of fatty foods, preserved meats, salty or very sweet foods it’s likely that when you reach the age of 40 you’ll start to complain about sicknesses that results from the unhealthy foods you take in your younger years.

Women’s Health
It’s very important for women to take good care of their health because they should be in perfect condition when they marry and conceive a child. It’s imperative that they eat balanced meal and exercise regularly. Sleeping habits should also be considered as one of the factors in maintaining perfect health. As early as teenage years women should learn how to take care of their bodies and when they get to their 20s health awareness is vital especially when they begin to get pregnant and eventually start a family.

It’s good to Check Pregnancy at the earliest sign because babies developed their brains at that stage and women should start avoiding certain foods that may cause damage to baby’s development like alcohol, sodas, coffee and other similar foods. When expectant mothers are very careful with their health they tend to have an easier pregnancy and delivery because complications are mostly avoided.

Baby’s Health
When a Mom is healthy the baby is usually normal and healthy as well except for some cases beyond the control of the expectant Mom. Now when the big day comes every hardship and pain of giving birth suddenly disappear when mother sees her baby coming out from her. It’s unexplainable joy that only mothers knows and that joy and love will be the baby’s guidance throughout his life.

I remember giving birth to my first child and I almost cried due to happiness. That happiness continued when the babies starts to grow up, began to see things around, when babies roll over, starts to crawl, sit, stand and eventually walk. All these things are precious to Dads and Moms and when they finally get to school and really grow up they will still be their babies.

Home and Music

Home is where the heart is and I want my kids to see our home as a place they will be able to relax and enjoy whatever free time they have. Even if I we don’t have a luxurious house I can say that ours is a relaxing and peaceful place with a cool ambiance. Its huge area enables us to design carefree and spacious living, dining, kitchen and study rooms.

Most of the times we gather in our living room after meals where we use surf with our laptops and play our favorite musical instruments. My kids are so fond of music things that they also browse music stores often like msicians friend site where they find various kinds and brands of their most desired instruments and accessories. How they love to take note and list their wish music items so when there’s enough funds we can easily buy.

However, her 40 year old fiance, Thomas Sadoski was busy talking with Harry Connick, Jr. on his daytime talk show, and gushing about Amanda the entire time! Talk about relationship goals! He began the conversation by telling Harry that he is more excited to have a baby with Amanda as a partner than he has ever been about anything in his entire life. '

I spend a lot of my time looking at this bump that’s growing inside of her and just thinking, like, looking and talking to that child and going, "You have no idea how lucky you are to have a mom like this."' Isn't that the sweetest thing? These two love birds are head over heels for each other, and for good reason! They are still in the “young love” stage, as they met in 2015 when they starred in the play “The Way We Get By” together. They later reconnected in early 2016 when they filmed a movie together. The couple announced in September 2016 that they were engaged, and in November, we found out that they were expecting their first baby . Making Your Weekend Worthwhile

Staying at home with your family is such a relaxing moment especially if the whole family is present. At home you can do anything to make your weekend or holiday a worthwhile respite from usual activities. For most mothers like me they can try their cooking skills and serve the best meals for their family. Some can try their green thumbs in gardening and others can say enjoy a good movie to make the best of family togetherness. Enjoying time together with the family is not just relaxing but making such good memories as well.

Music is also such as a great way to make the weekend something to look up to especially if you have kids like me who can play musical instruments with ease and inspiration. Well my son just mentioned cobra clutch and how good it will be on music playing. He’s such a good searcher and he googles everything he needs to know just like his favorite musical instruments and accessories. I know he’ll make a nice musician in the next years to come.

The Calming Effect of Music to Our Home

Last weekend is such a nice long weekend because we all had a rest; we didn’t plan to go anywhere so we just had a good family time together in the house. Well my girls, as expected have some college papers and drawings to do so they’re glad to have some day off the university. They both go to the same university so it’s easier for me to monitor them. They’re taking up two quite different courses; the eldest in Hospitality Management dealing with hotel, restaurant, resort, cruise and transportation management and the younger daughter pursuing Industrial Engineering. I’m lucky to have two dedicated students who want to reach their dreams. They’re both inspired with their chosen career and will study hard to achieve their goals.

Well life is not all work and no play as with my girls they also relax and take a break from studying and when they do they manage to tinker their favorite musical instruments to unwind and have some nice sounds. Gen is playing various instruments but her favorite is guitar. She’s actually pining for an electrical guitar these past few weeks especially when she gets to see charvel san dimas. Playing guitar is such a nice respite for her from many pressures of taking up Engineering and when she does it she’s also making me feel serene and happy. That’s the effect of hearing her play a guitar or keyboard to me, a calming effect.

Green Thumb for Gardening

Mom always has a green thumb in planting any flower, tree or plant in our garden and backyard. Every single thing that she plants grows abundantly. Since she’s old now and we don’t want her to do any task in the house she concentrates her time on gardening with the help of my husband who does the hard tasks. She would smile every time she sees a bud that blooms and a root that produce stems.

She loves gardening so much that I want to give her some nice garden gifts as I know she’ll appreciate it so much. She’s been telling me few days ago that maybe we should buy more pots so she can distribute her growing flowers on different places. Her enthusiasm is infectious as my husband is into gardening too much to my surprise. Just imagine my astonishment that after 20 years of marriage he’s learning the gardening skills. His brother is a landscaper so maybe he’s got talents too.
