Great Way To Make Money

As a working mom and wife I like to help my husband earn money to give all the best things for our three little kids. Since my time was spent mainly on my office work I couldn’t find the time to accept part time jobs that would take my intended hours for my family. Then I found Bloggerwave, Europe’s advertising media which provides an easier way to make money through blogging. This is a great chance for working and stay at home mothers to support their family’s needs through blog. Now I’ll have a chance to earn money in the comfort of my own home and still have time to attend to my family’s needs.

Josh Portrait

Josh and his daddy went to St. Audry early in the morning to get his card, diploma and portrait wearing his toga, the one that's photographed inside the studio. Then they went to her sisters' school to witness Gen's recognition. I was excited to see my baby's first studio pictures, yes his first because since he was born I was his personal photographer. Forgive me for being so excited because upon seeing his pictures I really had a smile on my face as he didn’t smiled as he usually does when we’re having photo session. Know why? Because he was very careful not to show his front teeth lol! Anyway even if he’s kinda serious in his picture he looks very handsome (trust Moms to always say the best of her kids).

Beautiful Landscape

I’m always fascinated to beautiful landscapes that I see when I travel to different places. Like last holy week when we travel to Tagaytay City I’ve seen some nice looking landscape and beautiful lawn. The soil must be super rich there as they grow everything there like roses, daisies, sunflower, my favorite chrysanthemum, and many others. I myself do gardening as a hobby specializing in flower plants but I think landscaping is very far from that as it needs a highly trained professional to do that like TruGreen Landcare, one of the largest providers of lawn services and commercial landscape which offers the best outdoor environment. They also provide services such as golf course management, design and installation, irrigation services, snow and ice management, tree care, sports turf management and fertilization & weed control. Their business has obviously grown and expanded due to high quality service and dedication to serving people at their best. Explore their site and avail of their services.

Lovely Flower Ponds

I was attracted by this when we stayed at one of the houses in Tagaytay. What makes it more beautiful are the flowers that were neatly placed along one side of the water pond. I wanted to have one also when we get back in Manila but now I'm still looking for a replica here in our place but the result was none. Got to find some luck next week.

Delicious Mistake

Last Saturday I was so engrossed in what I'm doing and seeing that I'm very busy Ruth offered to mix the ingredients for macaroons. In the past few days she was expressing her thoughts that she want to bake something. And because I also want her to learn it I immediately said yes to her. She did everything right but she also added lots of cocoa powder in the mixture thinking that it's ok if she mixed choco with it. So now we have another recipe on our kitchen and that's Choco Macaroons! It's yummy but still I prefer the original recipe. Good luck my baby on your next recipe.

Get Rid of Pests!

Last week before we went to Tagaytay I had one free day to have general cleaning of the house. As we have a big old house it takes a lot of time and hard work to make it look tidy and spotlessly clean. It usually took me two days to finish the first and second floor of our house. Sometimes I wish we have a smaller house so housekeeping would not be that hard. As I go through the biggest room of the house which has no occupant for some years now I noticed that there’s some termites slowly ruining the wood floors. I had to clear everything away and put some treatment before it spread out. It made my cleaning more tasking. Maybe we should hire professional service to get rid of these pests. I found some companies who were expert in doing this kind of thing like Terminix who has been utilizing the most advanced and effective techniques and products to get rid of pests. In fact they’ve shared some tips and information about pests, how to prevent it and how we can remove and totally eliminate them. Now I’m seriously taking notes of what I should do to prevent pests in our house.

Choir At The Camp

In our second day of fellowship each group has prepared group songs. The first who offered songs are the Kids' Choir which of course included all my kids as the children's age range from 3 to 12 years old. Josh was in the front and he's very excited he knew every line of the song. It's his first choir as he's resisted joining the group in our last fellowship. The second group was the youth choir consisting of younger generation ranging from 12 yrs. of age to early twenties. The last but not the least was the wife of our pastor and the deacons which included me :-) So there we are singing our songs to the Lord.

De La Hoya and Mayweather Rematch

They’re here again; remember the richest fight in boxing history? Yes, the fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Oscar Dela Hoya will soon have a rematch. Isn’t it exciting? My friend watched their first bout via pay-per-view and he kept on blogging about the fight including the 6-week series training of these 2 popular boxers, it showed how they trained and their activities, what they said and eat. It was a nice series. And because of the success and popularity they gained on their last fight, a rematch was well expected.

Dela Hoya and Mayweather are both agreeable to do the rematch fight and Schaefer, Golden Boy Promotions CEO have almost finalized it. He’s holding the site at the 27,000-set Home Depot Center in Los Angeles though other venues are also interested. Everyone will be thrilled to have Mayweather vs De La Hoya tickets to see them fight again. Tickets will surely sell like hotcakes especially to their fans and boxing enthusiasts. My friend would love Golden Boy Dela Hoya to win this time but he likes to have a full 12 rounds. So for boxing fans out there get your tickets now so you will not miss the fun of watching their fight on September. For those who will not make it to LA, you can watch them at HBO pay-per-view.

2nd Fellowship Day at the Camp

We’ve started the day with an early prayer at 5:00am and get ourselves ready for breakfast to have an early fellowship at 8:30am. We’re around 80 persons so preparation is quite a handful but we’ve delegated responsibilities to each and every group for a smooth scheduling of activities. My kids really love this place in Tagaytay and made the most in enjoying the cool weather and peaceful surroundings. My youngest kid
asked me if we can stay for another 3 days lol! He really liked it there! Testimonies were touching and most were coupled with offered songs. I was particularly touched by testimony of Sis. Sarah (the eldest daughter of Pastor) she was backslide for a time but now back again in the presence of the Lord. All six of them offered a song (wife and daughters of Pastor).

Choirs were presented starting from the kids ranging from 2 years old up to 10 years old, followed by the youth and finished with the wife of the deacons including me of course. Messages were carefully prayed and deliberated which brought reflections and feeling of fulfillment.
The day ended with the prayer of oil. The oil that we used to pray for sickness. The oil was personally prepared by us. We then had our afternoon snack which turned out to be a light dinner as it’s already dark outside. We packed our things and made sure that everything is in order and right places, the place immaculately clean as ever.

Lasik Eye Surgery

Since college I was using eyeglasses after I was diagnosed that I have nearsightedness problem in my eyes. Thus, I learned to live a life with eyeglasses as my partner wherever I go, it’s the most important thing I carry on my bag, without it I feel lost. When I was in college I always choose outdoor sports for my Physical Education subject. Have you ever played volleyball with glasses on? I did! I played softball, volleyball, table tennis, bowling and many other sports with my eyeglasses on and I carried it gracefully. I thought then that I could give my best in whatever sport I choose even if I don’t have perfect vision, it depends on the person how you carry your insufficiency, and well I carried mine bravely. Anyway nearsightedness is very common among students because of so many reasons, I think I had it because I like reading so much that even if it gets dark I’ll still continue reading up to my bedtime. After I saw white clouds slowly creeping in my vision I knew then that I overuse my eyes. Until now I wear eyeglasses because I’m not that comfortable with contact lens and I don’t have much time to do the regimen of wearing contacts.

Now you don’t have to suffer from my own experiences if you’re nearsighted or farsighted because science is always coming up with new innovative technology to cure sickness like this. I’ve found docshop.com, a website for information about health care procedures and technologies. In this website you can explore many things about patient education, medical information, reputable specialist in your area and everything about laser eye surgery which is very popular now in the field of medicine. Lasik eye surgery is a treatment that reshapes the cornea in order to produce clear vision. This procedure can treat myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism.

This website offers information and guidelines on lasik treatment such as general requisites of applying for lasik eye surgery, the lasik vision correction procedure, the risks and benefits of having lasik eye surgery and tips on choosing the best lasik surgeon which is very important in the lasik procedure. The eye surgery cost depends on the patients’ degree of refractive error. What’s even more helpful in this site are the lasik’s reviews and testimonials. This is really an informative site, so for all those people with eye problem please visit DocShop.com and experience the safest and most accurate form of treatment ever.

First Day Fellowship

We arrived at the site 6am in the morning with 3 groups of our brethren already there, one group hasn't arrived yet and I learned that they had trouble with their brakes. We arranged all of our things in the room and had our breakfast immediately to prepare ourselves for the first day of our fellowship. I was assigned as the first teacher of the day so I studied my lessons and activities for the children. The kids and I were having an interaction with one of my biblical story when the last group arrived, tiredness was well written on their faces. After an hour or two I closed my lessons and catched up the fellowship in the upper room where we held our service.

I was lucky to catch Pastor's preaching but we're not complete yet so the air just breezed through us freely breathing through our ears. It was always good hearing deep inspirational messages from our dear Pastor but the preaching was almost at the end. We planned a different set of menu this time avoiding meaty recipes because cooking meat took up plenty of time just to get it tender. This time we planned spaghetti for breakfast, monggo and fish for lunch and chopsuey for dinner, for our last afternoon before we go home we will just have lomi for late afternoon snack which can be good enough also for a light dinner before travelling. For the children we have jumbo hotdogs in each meal. Rice was served all throughout the day, we've prepared one sack for us all.

Afternoon service was fully packed as all brethren were there already. I had the time to listen to all exhorters and preachers because I've already finished my camp school teaching, will miss the kids though. I always liked to be scheduled first makes me feel better if I finished first. The master of ceremony carefully planned the time slot for ministers because we'll have to start our service for communion and feetwashing right after the speaker.

Teaching Kids at the Camp

To help the youth in handling kids during the fellowship we were asked to volunteer to participate in teaching little children in the church. As I've been doing this for sometime now I volunteered, lucky I just bought through one sister in the church some inspiring biblical books for children, it was on sale and the price of the book is only P10-20 per piece, lucky indeed! It contained almost everything from biblical stories to exercises and some spiritual games for kids. Here you can see some pics of them, other kids didn't arrive early because of some trouble in their vehicle!

Rent To Own

Renting a home at the start of your marriage was quite a nice idea. This is a sign of independence from each other’s family and you’ll have experiences of really running your own home. Managing your own home makes you learn a lot of things such as budgeting your money, learning household chores, emotional maturity and handling the whole household. This will also prepare couples when they decide to purchase their dream home in the next future. Every family would want a house of their own because you can’t be satisfied renting a house the whole of your life so it’s nice to break free from the rental cycle and own a house.

Home ownership is one of the dreams of almost every family where you can start building your dreams for your children, where you can spend your free time with them; share their laughter, tears and life’s special moments. But owning a house is not that easy, you have to qualify for a bank loan or you have to prepare a considerable amount of deposit for a home loan. Now achieving your dream on owning a house is not that far with Rent to Own concept which is perfectly suited for home buyers who got tired of rental cycle and want to own a home of their own. They offer a plan to help you own your home without taking on debt.

Rent to own lets you choose plan in which you can rent and purchase later or just rent without buying the property. It enables buyers to try before they buy and if they decide to purchase, the property price is the initial rental agreement, and a great benefit to buyers as the property value is the same price when they initially moved in, no interest or rate increase. If the buyer doesn’t want to purchase the house they’re renting they can just rent or move elsewhere without any obligation. When it comes to initial deposit I can say that it’s very affordable as you didn’t have to prepare big amount of deposit, big advantage for those who can’t afford massive deposit. Owning a house is not that hard anymore with Rent to Own real estate techniques to assist home buyers in achieving their dream of owning a house of their own.

Travel To Tagaytay

Early dawn at 3:30am we've packed everything listed on my summer camp list of things to bring and made sure that we didn't forgot anything for our 2-day stay in Tagaytay. As we were finishing arranging things on the car's compartment we received text message from our brothers that they've arrived already at our meeting place at Julio Vargas Pasig City, they came from Fairview and we've agreed to have a convoy travel up to Tagaytay City to ensure safer travel and backup if something happens.

We arrived and met them after 10 minutes and started the 2-hour travel to our camp site. We've missed the South Expressway entry to Carmona and entered instead to Mamplasan losing our convoy and just informed them through text that we'll just follow them. It's dark on the road and we're on a strange village, got some eerie feeling as we asked for our way back to South Expressway and to Carmona Entry. Finally we're set on our original way via Carmona, GMA, Cavite, Dasmariñas and Tagaytay City. We've encountered slight shower rains along the road and that brought some fog inside our car and since it's very dark we just took our travel on a slower pace but nevertheless reaching our destination before the sun shines. As you can see our shot here of Tagaytay City early morning of March 20 around 6am, beautiful sight indeed!

My Dear Friend Meline

I was wondering this week why I'm not receiving any text from Meline and because I know that she's sick I'm not expecting a daily message from her as she always does. Meline will not pass a day without a text message for me; it's her daily routine - to text inspiring messages to her closest friends. Actually I've been thinking again of her text 3 weeks ago - "Thank you for the friendship that we shared, my life was happy because you've been a part of it, sorry for any shortcoming that I've done as a friend. I will treasure our friendship our friendship even to the next life". It suddenly occurred to me that day that her text message seem like a farewell text, it actually chilled me. Why? Because Meline was diagnosed two years ago that she had a breast cancer, she has undergone series of chemotherapy and it seemed like the treatment had done her good but after a year she's started to lose hair and weight. We didn't know that her doctor honestly told her last October 2007 that her cancer is incurable and has only 6 months to live. She kept it to herself and she maintained a happy outlook in life, her text was always so sweet, endearing and inspiring and sometimes with a light humor. You wouldn't think that she's facing the end of her life then. We were actually planning a lunch or dinner date because it's been a long time since we've seen each other, the only way we're bonded is through mobile phone. I’m a little sad that dinner date was never scheduled.

I learned Meline's condition from DSI, Ma'am Billie knowing that we've been good friends asked one employee there to inform me that Meline passed away already. She learned it from her friend, Meline’s employer in Classic Confections, she didn't stopped working even if she knows that her body is in a bad condition. Meline is really like that, you wouldn't find her sulking and thinking about her problem and sickness, she's a brave girl always. She's taught me a lot in the field where I am now, my course and my job was too far from what my boss assigned me 5 years ago but Meline assisted and trained me in all aspects of Accounting, so after nearly two years of being together in BT&T Accounting Dept. she returned to being fulltime in Classic Confections leaving me with one accounting staff to help me in handling Accounting department. The position was quite far from my education and work experience having taken Computer Engineering in college and handled technical proposal for 10 years. I wasn't prepared and educated for the position but Meline was there for me and now she's gone I can never thank her enough for the friendship, care and time that she's given me. I will miss her name and her daily text in my mobile. I will miss my friend and her caring thoughts but I'm happy that she's not in pain now. May God bless her.

Flowers For You!

A wonderful way to express your love to someone special is through flowers as they always quote ‘say it with flowers’. There are many connotations of flower and most often according to kind and colors. When my husband courted me he used to give me red long-stemmed roses which signify love and respect. We were friends then and I was actually waiting what kind and color of flower will he give me because if he gave me yellow roses back then maybe I would think that he only see me as a good friend because it signifies friendship. Finally when the time came for my answer to his proposal he picked a single white rose, it’s very significant back then as I see white rose as symbol of love worthiness and I felt very happy to know that I’m worthy of his love.

There’s a lot more you can do with flowers, you can express your gratitude and sympathy, offer thanksgiving, congratulate a newlywed couples, boost morale, greet birthday celebrants and make your partner felt the romance of your love relationship. When you buy flowers for your loved ones makes sure to pass by E-Florist, a site that offers wide assortment of flowers that you can buy online. so everyday I get full hands-on training from her. I'm lucky and happy that we're living with my mom. How about you? Are you a good cook? Better be a good cook because it's true that the best way to a man's heart is through his stomach! Happy cooking!

Strong Foundation of Friendship and Love

Love begins with a simple hello and commonly ends with a sad goodbye. But what really does it take for love to bloom and relationship to last longer? In these time and age relationship often last only for a short period of time because there’s not enough solid foundation of love and the persons involved are halfway committed. In building a good love relationship couples should take time and extra effort to know each other well because knowing each other’s good and bad points are a big help on understanding your partner’s moods, traits and values. It’s accepting your best and worst attitude that will also make you see if you really love the person despite imperfections. Mr. and Ms. Perfect don’t exist, but the person who is right for you might be just there beside you.

Couples should also be good friends first before jumping into a serious relationship because by being friends they can build a stronger foundation. Most friendly relationship started having romantic ideas after years of being together as best friends. Constant companionship brought them to a different level of caring that produce awareness in both sides that they cannot be just friends. That’s the time that they start sending signals that they want each others company more than anyone in their circle of friends, the time that they setup dinner that would make them closer to each other. My hubby and I started that way; we’re only close friends for two years until we realized that we want a deeper commitment than being just best friends. He talked to me seriously about it and we set a time frame to gauge if what we felt for each other is a different kind of thing, a special kind of love. That’s the time that you decide to enter a serious and deeper commitment, a vow that would lead into a permanent commitment for life. The term I like you suddenly changed to I love you. A good foundation of friendship, trust, respect and love will lead to a lifetime commitment of love, a love where God should be the center of the relationship.

My Son's First Little Speech

Josh was given the task of speaking before the nursery graduating class 2007-2008, his speech is an introduction of the awarding ceremony for the outstanding graduates. Before the graduation day he resisted practicing the lines over and over and said that he doesn't want to repeat the speech again and again. On the final practice day when it's his turn to speak he got shy on the second stanza and forgot the final remaining line. It worried me because I will not be able to monitor his practice because I have office works and his lola always follow him if want to practice or not. You know the lolas, they're always spoiling the little kids and giving them what they want - most of the time. His daddy took over, he practiced him on the day before graduation with a microphone and finally Josh did the practice on his own getting the feel of speaking with microphone, little kids are really like that, they want it their own way. On his graduation day, I'm a little nervous for Josh but I'm also confident that my son can do it because he knows the lines, it's just a thing about moods of the kids. With God's help he delivered it accurate and clear.

Josh' Graduation

It's Joshua's graduation today and we've set our time earlier than the assembly time to prevent rushing over things and I'd like also to shoot a picture of the site without the people. We're a little far from school but since it's a lazy afternoon hour there's no traffic and within 5 minutes we're there already, we're the first family to arrive. As it's still early I called the teachers of my daughters and asked permission to fetch them one hour earlier as they want to see and hear their baby brother deliver his speech on stage. They're a couple of stage sisters lol! We're almost complete I mean the whole family and Redge too. She wants to see his dear nephew on his first graduation, after all Josh is like her own son. The program went smoothly but instead of Ed awarding the medal he blackout and told me that almost all parent on stage were Mommies so I better be the one to go on stage. So you'll find me here accompanying Josh. Mommies got so touched by the flower giving ceremony and I saw three in silent tears. It's really like that when you really think and feel it you'll really cry :-). The top honor students were given the tasks of praying, leading the songs, introducing the graduates and Josh was given the introduction for the award-giving ceremony. I was a little nervous and can't seem to look directly to my son's eyes for fear that he might linger on looking at me. Thanks to God he delivered the speech clear and accurate. He was given the second honor award and right after the medal was given to him he asked me if he did it right, I said to him "You're very good Josh" and he's all smiles at me, very happy at his small accomplishment. He got thumbs up sign also from the teachers and that put a smile on his eyes.

My Handwriting

What Your Handwriting Says About You

You are a fairly energetic person. You know how do pace yourself, and you deal well with stress.

You are very extroverted and outgoing. You are loving, friendly, and supportive. However, you are also manipulative and controlling at times.

You are balanced and grounded. You know how to get along well with others.

You need a bit of space in your life, but you're not a recluse. You expect people to give you a small amount of privacy, and you respect their privacy as well.

You are a free thinker. You are unique, open minded, and artistic. You don't care what other people think.

You are a good communicator. You work hard to get your ideas across effectively.

What Does Your Handwriting Say About You?

This is only a quiz but a lot of the things said are true especially being loving, friendly, supportive, balanced and grounded and I really know how to get along with others. About my handwriting? Actually since college days all my friends and even my professor in my Drafting class in Engineering told me that they like my penmanship but honestly I just made my penmanship in print style because I find it very neat writing that way. My professor even announced my name in our drafting class that he really liked my handwriting and that I don't have to use the lettering guide for drafting plans. He used to give me me an additional points for my handwriting the reason why my classmates made me write their names on the bottom of their work so they would have an additional points also. That attention made me embarrassed because at that time I don't want much attention, I just want to an ordinary student and that also will be a reason for my friends' teasing being a teacher's favorite lol!

So how about you? What does your handwriting say about you?

Sometimes moving can be painful if the reasons for doing it are beyond your control like foreclosure or anything that’s connected with unpaid mortgage. There are many good reasons of moving like transferring to a more greener pasture or finding a lucrative business in other place or wanting to move to a more peaceful community or just wanting to make a fresh start on another place. Greedy Caretaker

It's only one week to go and we've scheduled to go to Tagaytay City again for our Summer Camp Meeting, our second on that same place, we started at the same place last summer when we feel that God wanted us to go to another place better than the one we're renting for the previous year in Indang, Cavite because we noticed that the caretaker of the place was using all opportunities to burden us financially much to what we agreed and expected. At our first fellowship there she showed all kindness and hospitality not showing her real intention, but the next time we rented their place she showed her greediness at some point.

Like electric meter she put a price on every small appliance we bring and put triple charges on it which is against our agreement, what’s even more hurting is she accepted reservation for another occasion on our rented period, a matter of two hours and she asked us to vacant the room earlier than the paid period just so they can clean the rooms for the next occupants. All she’s after is the money and instead of arguing with her we opted to finish the fellowship earlier and go home after.

When we paid the whole amount to her without deducting the hours that we started vacating our rooms she felt guilty and suddenly washed her hands off the situation requesting us to be back again next fellowship, we just smiled and say no more, we know God will take of what happened and the lady will regret what she has just done to us. That was the last time we’ve seen her. After 8 months she keeps on texting us if we’ll use the campsite again and we told her we’ll never go back there again.

Josh Final Rehearsals

I've got two leave from office work one I've used for Josh final graduation practice which required all parents to be there for the children to feel like it's graduation time. As the real graduation will have many restrictions in allowing digicamera I took some pictures and videos of Josh already as they were singing and doing their part in the program. I've practiced josh and I've heard him recite the whole speech clearly beside me but when his time came he only recited half of the paragraph, he's overwhelmed by the crowd. Anyway as they were nurseries only the teachers understand the situation and just told him to memorize and make it good on the real graduation day. All togas, ribbons and programs were distributed and Josh was so excited upon seeing his toga and cap. He put on the whole set there, he really can't wait for us to get home. Then I found that he's the second honor. Congrats Josh! Will share some pics later!

I’ve wanted a room that exudes warmth and elegance. I need that kind of look so I can feel warm, comfortable and relaxed enough to rest my mind whenever I have worries and anxieties. Bible Study

Everyday brings different lessons in our life. In our work we encounter difficulties on duties and tasks assigned but after that we felt fulfillment after accomplishing all tasks. In our homes we faced challenges of everyday problems, depression, worries and physical exhaustion but at the end of the day we felt satisfaction of having managed a good family. Sometime in our lives we come upon deception and temptation but we were able to see God’s hand before we commit sins. These are the things that we must rule out of our lives in order for us to claim God’s promise. Our faith was somehow tested everyday because that’s the life of Christian we are being mold like the metal that’s been refined by fire. That’s why it’s very important for us to have a Bible Study to help us recharge ourselves with the teaching and word of God.

During my break time in the office I usually browse online and read spiritual thoughts, messages and lyrics of varied Christian songs. This is where I came upon BibleKeeper.com where you can find different versions of the Bible in 28 languages, a great source for reading scriptures. They provide free online bible study tools where you can search the bible by specific text, by chapter or by Bible Verses. I looked for some lyrics of Christian songs and it’s there also. It’s really a great help and educational too especially their biblical resources where you can find different links to site that says a lot about Christian life, activities and courses. They even linked up Christian Finance which was featured in their site. The author was very popular because of his Christian business blog and they have asked him to move his blogs to their site. This is really a complete site for anyone wanting to read something better.
