A True Friend Tells You What You Need to Hear

I have many friends that I met along my life’s journey through school, various jobs that I was employed, church mates, online friends and many others.  They’re all a part of me but there are few that I love the most like my own sister.  These best friends know me inside and out and would never do a thing to make me feel sad, make me down-hearted or make me do foolish things.  They love me as I am and would never hurt me in any way.  

But love also corrects as the friends closest to my heart would never let me hear what I want to hear but what I need to hear.  Friendship is not just complimenting or loving each other but giving the real opinions if there’s a need.  If I’ve gone wrong I would want my friend to tell me I was wrong because that will make me a better person.  A person that realizes mistake and wrong doings will make all efforts to change for the better with God’s help.

Updates with Friends

When I met some of my college friends few months ago we were so excited about learning the updates of our lives that the food we ordered were only half-finished when we parted ways. It’s more important to chat, laugh and talk about current happenings than eat our favorite foods. We were inseparable that night and that’s not a surprise as we haven’t seen each other for years considering that we’re together for 5 years in college. After some hours of talking about families, kids and personal things we asked about our current jobs or if some had resigned already and started their own businesses. 

As expected most of us are into System Support & Documentation Jobs but some have been employed on totally different field like brokerage, administration, finance and other jobs that do not match with our college degree. Well life is like that we really don’t know what’s going to be our real course in life. As for me I’m happy enough with my administration and logistics job in office and my online writing job.

Reminiscing Good Old Times

My friends and I are chatting over our experiences in our college days and we find it so hard not to laugh and chuckle over our mistakes and errors on our laboratory and electronics classes. Some can’t forget one drafting professor that’s very hard to please but been very good to me because he said he liked my penmanship. He used to give them low grades that made my friends applying for scholarship fear for qualifications. Anyway he gave me one of his highest grades but I don’t really like him. I’ve had my share of dealing with my hard subjects and thesis too but that’s the past and we just talked about it in reminiscing our times together. 

Now that we’re grown ups we can laugh at our bad moments in college and actually thanked those experiences which made us successful in our career in line with our profession or not. Some of us didn’t make it to practice what we learned in college and have been successful in different field of work. All of these we learned to accept because life sometimes give us something that we didn’t expect of having and often we’re directed to a career different from what we studied. In all of these things in mind we should give our heartfelt thanks to God for giving us guidance in all endeavours we took in our lives.

Best Friends are Angels

Sometimes we’re hoping for angels to guide us in our everyday lives but we’re not aware that God send us best friends to be with us always. If you have a best friend or best friends in life it’s like God has send an angel to watch over you. I have many friends in life and some of them turned to be the best that I could ever have. I treasure them more than jewels because they’re there to laugh with, cry with, work with, solve problem with, walk with, chat with and anything that I want to do. They’re just there to give me company and advices when I’m in trouble. I know that God loves me because He has given me best friends in life.

Just Like the Old Times

When I was with my former school friends we talked about everything non-stop and slightly forgot how much we wanted the food in front of us. Feels like we’re students again and just talking about what pocketbooks we read, the movies we had seen and the concert tickets we bought from the mall. Actually we’re only two or three interested in concerts during those days. 

It feels like we’re back in the good old times and we somehow lost ourselves in reminiscing all our five years in college. I really love these friends of mine and I miss them now. Glad we’re seeing each other again next week.

Missing Prep Friends

Josh is a very friendly and charming boy and in the first weeks in his new school he has many friends already and I've seen how happy he is despite missing his close friends in Preparatory. That's their picture while they're having a Christmas party outside. They sneaked inside their room and played with their prizes after they've won a game. See how close and how funny they are.

Actually Mark is the most behaved among the three and he turned out to be their class valedictorian while Josh got the Salutatorian place. Marcus is studying near Josh' school while Mark is in school very far from them. Hope they'll meet again despite the distance because Josh truly miss his friends esp. these two.

We meet friends in school, in our work, in our community, in our church and with the modern innovations of technology we also meet friends online. Along the way friends we meet come and go, and by each hi and goodbye we learned something from them. We learned how to care, love and give our utmost support to them. Younger-Looking Friend

My friend is turning older again before the end of this month and he’s joking that he doesn’t look his real age because his new friends are much younger than him making him look like their age only. We didn’t see each other for months now. He visited me last year after the big flood to know how we are and despite numerous scheduling we failed to meet again because of busy activities. He’s teaching Computer Programming at some schools in the towns nearby and now he’s very busy again just like me. Anyway I just read a prototype 37c review and wondering if he could possibly be using this wrinkle cream because he really claims that he looks younger now.

He’s months older than me and we should look just the same. Well he’s single and we know that singles doesn’t have much to think and worry about so I guess I’ll accept his statement for now until I see him again. By the way he’s one of my best friends and godfather of my eldest!

Missing My Old-Time Office Friends

Saw my friend in Friendster which I open only now whenever there are message and birthday alert. With an account also in FB I find it hard to be updated in both. If I open one of them during my work you can be sure that I’ll end up doing nothing but browse and browse. I need to have discipline so I don’t open my accounts for long period of time except when necessary. And just an hour ago I have a birthday alert and saw my office friend’s picture during her Orlando vacation. I sent her a greeting and commented on her picture.

Kelyn was so fond of traveling and having pictures too and upon seeing her I remembered our old times with other office friends who are all either working or living in other countries now. When she happened to see me online couple of months ago she was happy that I’m working online at home. She’s thrilled at the idea of earning bucks through online jobs. I just wished that she’ll be here when our other friends planned their vacation in December.

Friends Are Like Walls...

Friends are always there for us to share our happiness and griefs, our ups and downs, our success and failures and many things that happen in our lives. During the saddest moments of our lives God is our refuge and He uses our friends for us to cry on their shoulders. They're like walls that we can lean on and just knowing they're there for us to accompany and hear our problems is a great relief and help. Friends are important people in our lives and we should thank God for giving them to us. Such blessings!

CCS Golden Jubilee-50th Alumni Homecoming

This is a late post as we've attended our 50th alumni homecoming last Feb. 26. We were like high school again and our batch was the noisiest (just like in our HS days). Imagine we're done with our dinner even before the others has started their own lol! The host batch' speaker describe our batch as having a birthday party as we're the only batch with balloons and cake. We're just happy to see each other again and we've agreed to bring different foods. We have enough foods for three batches and we're able to give some to others.

What caught my interest was the video of successive school years since '60s featuring each generation's uniforms, batch of teachers and some class pictures. Our school has changed a lot from the time it started up to now that it has become not just an elem-high school but a college as well. I missed my teachers who were not there and Ms. Rosas who passed away already last year.

Meeting An Old Friend

I was talking to a former officemate friend whom I saw recently in the mall while I was looking for a nice pair of shoes for hubby. We were both surprised at our own looks now; we’ve last seen each other when we were still singles, the time when we’re both thin. Now we’ve both gained pounds, she gained 30 and I gained 35 lbs. weighing only 96 lbs. when I started employment in a consultancy firm. Anyway we’re both laughing as we recalled our good times together and reminisced on some unforgettable and happy moments. She has only one child and smiled at me when I told her I have three that at least compensate me for gaining pounds lol!

As we were talking about our families, work and many things about us we were sharing our plans on how we can possibly go back to our desired weight. We were discussing about my diet plan and hers when she asked me if I want to use the best diet pill that she saw on the net. She wants to try it but having some second thoughts on it. I’ve told her to ask her doctor about it so she’ll know the effects of that diet pill. As we both have a busy schedule we promised to call each other and plan another meeting on our convenient times.

Shot On The Spot

I find this tag exciting because you really have to post a recent picture of yours not necessarily the prettiest but the one that's shot on the spot. The moment I saw this tag I really got so excited. This photo was taken by my daughter Gen while we're hurrying to the car on our way to our sunday fellowship in Cubao.

I just went to one side of our living room and say cheese lol! I'm always the one who shots but this time I'm the one who pose for a shot. I asked Gen to be firm and good in taking my shot coz I usually don't look good in pictures lol! excuses :-)

Malou's Father Passed Away

I've prepared early for office as I planned to go to my high school friend and distant cousin Malou. Her father died 3 days ago of heart attack. Actually I've scheduled myself last night to go there but when I saw that their house was full of people I backed out and visited her early this morning. I want to offer my condolences and talk to my friend in silence, it's been awhile since our last talk and I really want to console her.

Her father's heart attack was a complication brought about by diabetes and they were surprised by his sudden death because just last week he seemed very strong. Life is like that, you will never really know when sickness and death will passed or hit you. Important thing is you'll have strong faith and personal relationship with God so when your time comes you'll be ready to meet Him.

What makes me Happy?

when my family is healthy and happy, when i'm in the church, when i dine with hubby, when i see, talk, chat online and eat with my friends, when i have plenty of time for blogging, when i travel, when i'm cooking and baking, when i play bowling, volleyball and badminton, when i use my wow magic sing, watching singing contest, when i shoots places and people, when i eat salad, pizza, pasta, choco and cakes, when my work excites and challenge me, when i'm attending seminars, when i have plenty of opps, when i make good decisions in life and lots lots more.

What makes me Sad?

when one my family is sick, when my hubby can't be with us on special occasions, when my pc and connection is down, when i see people who can't pass the day without doing bad to others..... well i can't say more as i'm not so much a sad person, i always try to see the positive and brighter things in life....
