Happy Together

Life is hard when you’re not living with the people you love best that’s why I pity those people who have been imprisoned without sin. When my friend’s husband was in drug rehab treatment centers in the previous year, and she joined in their center’s Christmas program. She has a beautiful voice and the patients who gathered up for the occasion loved her performance. Now they’re all together this holiday season and happy too because they’re complete now. Well I’m glad at the turn of events of my friend.

Too Young to Protect

My friend’s husband gave an Ipad as Christmas gift to their one and only daughter and my friends was beginning to worry on how her daughter can use it properly and keep it safe from normal tear and wear. It’s good that she’s working online and get to see and learn of ipad warranty that ensures protection of Ipad from usual causes of damage and lost. It was an expensive gift to give but my friend knows how much her husband love her daughter and because the husband is working abroad he gives everything that he know will make her daughter happy. Anyway since the girl is so young to take care of her new Ipad maybe my friend will take care of it.

Best Job Application Month

It’s only few days left before the year ends and another year will begin. I like it when the year begins because it’s the sign of another hope for me when it comes to job opportunities. When I was still in corporate office the first month of the year seems to be the best month to apply for better job and salary. It’s also the month that there are many job opportunities like IT jobs, administrative, accounting and finance jobs, human resource, sales and whatever field you may want to enter into. It’s the busiest month for application and job openings and it makes sense because people are most likely to finish the year before they leave their current employer to seek for better job opportunities. It’s really quite just a cycle to me.

Saving and Investing Money

I just talked to my cousin who has a son working abroad and I told her to teach his kid in saving some of her earnings. It’s hard to earn money these days but it’s especially difficult when you’re far from your family. I’m sure people working abroad will agree to my statement that it’s indeed hard when you’re not with your family. Anyway I told her it’s best to invest some of his son’s saved money on something tangible to ensure return of investment. He can invest in gold bullion and have it deposited safely in a bank so when the time comes for major expenses he can count on it to help him with finances.

Thankful

Few days from now we’re going to leave the past year behind and welcome the year ahead of us. Going back the year that’s going to end in a matter of days I have all the reasons to be happy for God’s wonderful blessings on me and my family. Online works has been so plenty for me and my online friends and tasks are still outpouring for us. I’m happy to look back and be thankful that we survived all trials and problems and still standing on our feet.

Now with all the work blessings of God I’ve saved some money and we’re thinking on investing on something that we could get some profit from like small food franchise, bakeshop and any other business. And if we don’t have time to manage business we might as well consider buying gold coins from United States Gold Bureau because it presents an easier way of investing money without exerting too much effort and physical labor. You just have to secure its safety in a bank depository and then wait for the return of your capital.

Best Remedy to Cure Drug Addiction

I learned early in life that drug addiction can change and ruin lives. I’ve seen it happened to my cousin when I was still a student. It robbed him of good health and good life. It affects the life of the drug dependent and of his family and friends as well. He has been rehabilitated twice but he returned to his vices, I guess not all rehab centers can cure drug addiction on all patients. Some patients can’t prevent themselves from going back to their old vices. If you really want your drug-dependent family to be healed from addiction you should find a dedicated rapid detox centers who can give the longest and safest treatment to opiate addiction.

Treatment for person who lived their lives dependent on drugs should be treated physically and psychological as well. The 8-hour detox treatment should be followed by monitoring the patient, one-on-one post procedure care for 36-48 hours and psychological assessment. Treatment should not end at the treatment but long-term follow-up should be given to patients to ensure that he will not go back to his addiction.

Health Insurance Membership

I was doing some reading on the policies of our health insurance when I came upon this life insurance online from Wholesale Insurance. I think it’s easier to search, compare and get insurance online but we already have one since we’re working for almost two decades. I’m doing the cancellation of my health insurance membership because we’re going to file it on Friday. Now that we’ve resigned from office employment DH and I decided to maintain one health insurance membership because one member is enough to cover the whole family.

There’s one conflict though, the management of the insurance told us that my youngest and I will not be a legal beneficiary of DH if I’m not going to cancel my membership. It’s either I continue or I cancel so DH can include me and my Josh in his insurance. It’s not normal and I think there must be some mistake in my husband’s former office application of beneficiaries. We should be automatic beneficiaries of DH because he has already submitted necessary documents to his office when our youngest was born. I just don’t know how this thing happened but I’ll submit all needed requirements just to benefit from DH insurance.

Expected Expenses for the Car Repair

I’m making some list here of our expected expenses for the car because our mechanic will have his general check-up tomorrow. I’ve listed battery, reserved tires, wiper motor and many others. I’m thinking if we’re going to buy a new car audio since the existing one is good enough for us. Hope the mechanic would see lesser trouble because repair expenses will definitely affect our budget for the holidays. Anyway we listed the car now as one of our priorities because we’re going to use it for our camp meeting and before the actual camp when we’ll be bringing the instruments to the site. I have plenty of things to list but I just prioritized the major ones because the minor accessories can be bought at a later date.

Status in Life

Since the old generation gold had always been the status quo of the rich and famous. During those times when bank is only common to few people they invest their money on precious jewels and gold. They know that their money can be safe when they buy gold and store it in safe place for future use. I lived in the province for almost 7 years and in my Mom’s hometown some people were just lucky to be able to dig precious gold.

I remember my Mom’s stories of dying people leaving their gold jewelries to their children. It’s so precious to them that they think it would make their children well off in their lives if they started out life with gold. Now you can invest in gold even without the gold in the past centuries. You can buy gold bullion or gold coins and store it in a safe place for future high profitable means of earning.

Bad Effects of Vices

I’ve passed again our neighbouring internet cafe which is always frequented by teenagers who are addicted to network gaming and more. I didn’t want to look at some of them who at the young age of 14 smokes intensely like older men. If the old men are taking top rated cigars they are just taking the ones sold by variety store but the effects are the same. Smoking is dangerous to health and there’s no exception about it. Frequent smoking can lead to deadly diseases like lung cancer, emphysema, heart defects and many others. It can also cause birth defects if a pregnant mother smokes. Young men don’t really pay much attention on the bad effects of their vices and most smokers realized their bad habits when they have already incurred diseases.

Observe Safety and Obedience in Driving

We must observe safety when driving because you’ll not be only caring for your life but for others as well. Oftentimes road accidents happen when there are reckless drivers who always want the road by themselves only. They can’t wait for their turn to go and never miss an opportunity to overtake. Such carelessness and recklessness should be avoided as they’ll be endangering safety of their passengers. One other reason for accidents is driving while intoxicated which is an offense that’s very irritating for me because I find these drivers very irresponsible.

It’s a common reminder to everyone not to drink alcohol if they’re driving but others just can’t find it in their system to follow this simple rule. Driving while intoxicated poses a lot of danger that’s why legal officers penalize this kind of crime. In Texas they are very strict about it as they put violators in jail for up to 180 days in jail; suspend the driver for up to 1 year, collect fine up to $2,000 and other penalties. Well if you’re not guilty but accused falsely you can get help from Houston DWI lawyers who provide legal services for those who didn’t violate such laws but were accused. Don’t let false accusation ruin your life and your work. Get help from them and be assured that you’ll get acquitted.

Writing on my Shopping Blog

I’m starting two new blogs and my friend advised that I should use directory submission software so I’ll have my sites indexed by search engines. Well I really want to have good website traffic and I think I’ll do it after I have written some good posts on my sites. I want my readers to enjoy visiting my site and I would want them to have a good read on my posts. I feel great about writing on my shopping blog and this coming week I think I’ll be able to launch it. For the other one I think I’ll have time for it next month.

They Love Tanned Complexion

When my SIL had a vacation here last June we were talking about how the English women love her brown complexion. Her English friends would tell her that they would like her skin on their body so they would not need any tanning lotions to help them get the tanned complexion they want. Of course we laughed about it because majority of women here would exchange their brown complexion for very fair skin; in fact most of them use bleaching and whitening creams just to reach the effect of flawless white skin.

It’s always been a common expression thought in the minds of the people here that to be beautiful you must have white complexion. As for me it’s not in the color of your skin but of how healthy the skin is besides black or brown is also beautiful. There are some international beauty queens here that doesn’t have fair complexion and they’ve proven that it’s not a hindrance in attaining success in life.

Proper Skin Care is Needed

My girls sometimes ask me if they’re going to have the usual face problems their classmates are going through especially my eldest daughter because she’s a teenager now. I told her that having acne results from dirt, too much oil and sometimes genes. My cousin suffered severe acne when she was young and no amount of visits to doctor can stop the acne from bursting into her face. It was the worst dilemma she had encountered in her adolescence days that she really search for acne scar creams so it will not leave a permanent mark on her face when she gets older.

I’m relieved that my Dad and Mom are free from acne since their teenage years which made me believe that it’s not in our genes and if ever we had one or two acne in our adolescence period it was just a result of stress, eating oily foods and late nights. I’ve told my daughters that proper hygiene and skin care are two of main factors to help prevent skin problems in the future.

Innovations on Medical Devices

Lately modern innovations have reached not only businesses and commercial establishments but also in the hospital. I’m quite an observer and whenever I visit hospitals it’s often that I noticed quite a big change in their equipment. I know that the most of the modern devices that you will see are those that’s being used in electrosurgery like electrodes, cauteries and others. Well they should really used the best devices as their clients will pay big amount of money on surgical operations.

Legal Help on Mesothelioma Cases

Asbestos was known as a wonder element with its resistance to heat, electrical and chemical damage. In the past people find it very useful on electric oven, hotplate wiring and in buildings because of its insulating properties. But it was banned later because it was found out that exposure or inhalation of asbestos can cause lung cancer, mesothelioma cancer and asbestosis. It was too late for those workers who were exposed in their job on industries that uses asbestos because they incurred malignant cancer from constant inhalation of the element.

If you have friends or relatives who were victims of such circumstances you can ask legal help from Houston asbestos lawyer to assist them in their pursuit for justice for what happened to them. These lawyers from Heard Robins Cloud & Black will help them throughout the case until the victims successfully get their claims.

Gifts for Her

Now that holiday season is getting near most of us have a gift list for family, friends and relatives. Since my Dad has passed away already when season like this comes it’s always my Mom that I think first. I’m always reflecting on what would be the Top Xmas Gifts for Her for this year. This time I’m thinking of buying some different gifts in addition to her favorite blouses and pouch bags. She loves drinking milk and coffee and a beautiful customized mug would be perfect. I know she will love to sip her favorite drink on it.  I’d have to think of other gifts too for my dear MIL, sister, SIL and close friends.

Lazy Mode Week

I’m always sleeping late at night until dawn this week. I had difficulty in getting my blogging mojo that it’s always taking me until evening before I’m inspired to write. I really had lazy mode on blogging and I was glad that it did return yesterday because of shower of opportunities that came my way. I feel so blessed that even if my work is not that stable as my office work way back then I still manage to earn more than what I’ve been earning in my previous work.

I’m just thinking if those late night sleep will necessitate me to need natural acne products if ever I incur acne. I was told by my friends that late nights can cause acne or pimples to break out but as of this moment I still haven’t anything to worry. Anyway my skin is really not the type to develop such acne in the past so now I don’t have problems with it.

Vacation Plans Next Year

Many of my friends are busily booking now for their vacation at the first quarter of the coming year. They’re taking advantage of great travel promos online which will give them some relaxing vacation from busy online works. How I would like to book for a vacation also but it’s difficult when you have three schooling kids as their school vacations are the only available dates if we want them to go with us. I was looking at Outer Banks vacation rental and dreaming that one day I’ll have the luxury of time and finances to go to a real vacation like that.

For now I have to content myself to a domestic vacation only. Anyway our country has beautiful beach resorts and some highlands vacation resorts. For a workaholic Mom like me that would be such a great vacation for me and for my family also. I want them to be with me on my vacation because I will surely miss them.

Looking for our Car’s Auto Parts

I was disappointed yesterday when the car electrician didn’t showed up for his appointment with hubby regarding the general electrical check-up of our pickup car. I’ve cancelled my two appointments and errands because we were expecting him. We should have called the mechanic first so hubby’s free day time was not wasted on waiting.

We still have to wait for the mechanic decision if we’re going to replace the alternator or not. Lately I’ve been searching the net for some auto parts and found out a site that caters to various parts for different cars like Mazda, Toyota, Nissan, Ferrari parts and many others. We don’t own a Ferrari but I’m just fond of looking up beautiful cars and their accessories. Who knows we might own one in the future!

Back to Daily Routine

My two-week lapse from diet and exercise gave me a heavy body again and I just returned to my healthy habit this week. I was afraid that I’m going to need Lipofuze if I will not return to my daily workout and no-rice dinner. I admit I’ve been taking rice for two weeks but I managed to take a half full cup only so my conscience is only half guilty lol!

Anyway vacation really makes us break rules and now that school classes are regular again I’m back with my daily routine which is a 1-hour workout exercise concentrated on cardio and aerobics. I’m going to add more focus on the limbs next week and will gradually add more on some parts of my body. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to have discipline and time so I can keep up with my plan. Wishing too!

One-Stop Shop

We’ll drop by our new venue for our camp meeting tomorrow to accompany our brethren who will see the site for the first time. We were the ones who recommended it because we’ve seen when my daughter attended their school retreat there. I found out that it’s also near the one-stop shop store I’ve been buying my things for the house. It’s where I bought my bathroom tiles, shower head, bathroom sinks, kitchen sinks, kitchen faucet and everything I need when our plumber fixed our bathroom and kitchen. I know I’ll return to the store once more when I have budget for the total kitchen renovation. For now I’m just fixing what’s needed because the renovation will require a large amount of money.

Working to Beat Homesick Feeling

My friend has worked part-time in a grocery store doing merchandising because she finds it boring doing nothing in the house. Her husband can pay for all her expenses and very well-off but she’s not used to staying in the house and doing nothing. She’s an HR Manager before and used to working overtime so when she got married and transferred to foreign country she looked for a part time job that would not keep her occupied but beat her homesickness as well.

Now after sometime getting used to barcode scanner, cash register, barcode label and all equipment in the grocery she quit the job and started a small financing business when her husband retired from work. She’s very busy and a lot more occupied now that she doesn’t feel homesick again.

Looking for New Eyeglasses

I think I’m going to need a new pair of eyeglasses as my current has giving some blurred images on certain distances. I think my eyeglasses grade has changed and I need to consult my optometrist about it. I’ve visited two optical shops to look for the style I need but I was disappointed at the stocks they have. If only I could order it online now because I was hesitant of my exact size and lens’ grade. It’s easier to order Zeal Goggles online as you can immediately browse all style. With my kind of glasses I’m not sure if I can have the right one for me so I’ll just stick to my previous optical shop for now to replace my eyeglasses then look later for a second eyeglasses at my convenient time.

Excited for My Meal Recipes

I noticed that my kids are always getting excited about what I’m going to cook for their meals especially their packed lunch that’s why I’m taking notes of their favourites and learning some more nice recipes. I’m glad that in spite of cooking delicious recipes for my kids I’m not tempted to eat large portions of what I’m cooking for them. Well if I develop a big appetite for my delicious meals I would certainly need some diet pills that’s why I’m glad that never happens to me these days. I know my healthy meal plan and regular workout help me to control sweet cravings and overeating. I’m looking forward for the results of my discipline and meal planning. Hope I’ll succeed!

Status Quo in the Past

Among the precious metals I’ve known gold has proven its good value over the years. It’s been a status quo for those who want to be included in the circle of rich and famous because gold is a premium investment that’s guaranteed to stay strong in the market. Its beauty is sought by many as they can do precious accessories and jewelries with gold. Its value is appreciating every year and whoever owns this precious metal will never cease to love its splendour. So if you want to own one for your personal needs or if you want to invest your money on a bankable investment you can buy gold and experience what it’s like to own precious thing. As an investment I know it can satisfy anyone’s craving for financial security because it will yield higher return of investment in few years’ time.

Wedding Dowry

Since my cousin is getting married I was just wondering if they will still do the dowry thing which was practised in the old days in our province. My Mom told me that dowry can be a house and lot or precious jewelry like gold and silver. They’ve practised it in their wedding and many couples are still following the tradition. It’s not bad at all because that would also be the bride’s future properties. Maybe the old generation folks wanted to ensure the future of their daughters that they ask for dowry, some give the dowry to parents or whatever is the agreement. I’m too young then to understand things like that because I was only there up to 7 years of age and then we moved to our present home now.

I keep thinking if it’s possible that dowry can be investments like bank statement, a business or other forms of gold like coins and bullion. Well that would be a much higher value because nowadays a good investment can be your door to your success so it’s important to think carefully before plunging too quickly on investment. Hard-earned money should be meticulously planned before spending.

Getting Ready for the Special Day

My cousin will get married on Saturday in our hometown in Laguna and it’s going to be a big one because I learned that they’re getting ready with their hogs from their farm. Last few weeks were kinda busy for them as they’ve prepared the bridal gowns and dresses for other entourage. They were scheduled to dropped by here last month when they went to Ongpin for their wedding rings and Bridal Jewelry because I gave them the names of my Auntie’s favorite store there. It’s an authentic jewelry store there where hubby and I also bought and have our own wedding rings engraved. Well they were happy with the referred store and quite happy with their finds. It’s only few days left before their big day and they’re very excited about it. We’re now making plans on travelling for that day.

My Typical Day

Almost everyone has classes now except for my eldest DD and I'm back to waking up so early in the morning.  lately I've had some difficulty in waking up because I've been sleep for an hour or two  only.  Talk about dizziness lol! Anyway when I wake up after an hour of sleep I just move like a programmed robot, boil water for their milk, cook breakfast and packed their lunch meals.  In between cooking I'll prepare the table and nap for 2-4 minutes just in time for the rice and water to boil.  I can sleep like that when needed.

I was just thankful that hubby takes over sometimes.  He'll take care of assisting the kids as they eat, take a bath, dress for school and check everything before hopping up to their service vehicle.  That's how our morning happens, full of activities but after the last kid went off to school hubby and I will have our breakfast together before he went to school also.  Then that's when my day with only my Mom starts.  I'll have my exercise before eating breakfast  so by the time I'm left with my chores and online work it's just me roaming around the house until they all arrived from school.  This is my usual time as work-at-home Mom.

Growing Kids

For the kids’ future DH and I have been planning about the right business that will give us some earnings for our needed savings and backup financial for the kids. We’re not contented to just sit in one corner and watch how our finance is greatly affected by their growing needs. I’ve been reading and browsing online and found out US Gold Bureau is offering investment through sale of precious metals like gold and silver in coins or in gold bar. It has become one good challenge for us if we can save for this kind of investment because we know gold is one of the most bankable investments in the industry and it’s sure to give higher values in the coming years.

Investment Plans

I’ve been searching for some nice sites for post ideas on my new blog when I was asked by my cousin for a suggestion on where to put his hard-earned money from his 20-year old office employment. He’s been very loyal with the company but suddenly he feels like he’s old enough to rest, relax and enjoy his life. He learned last year that I resigned and retire early in corporate office and was thinking of doing it himself since he’s older than me. He actually asked me what I will do after my resignation and was amazed that I can work online in the comfort of my home. Well we talked about his investment plans and told him about what United States Gold Bureau offers as a form of investment to their clients. He studied it and planned on talking it with his wife.

I actually don’t know anything about the company except that it offers one of the most stable kinds as investment. They provide bullion, gold coin and other similar products for their clients to buy, invest and store in safe deposit to banks. Gold has a high percentage of bringing high returns of capital and proven to appreciate value in years. It’s a good investment according to old folks but I told my cousin to think of his investment carefully before plunging into it.

Reminiscing Good Old Times

My friends and I are chatting over our experiences in our college days and we find it so hard not to laugh and chuckle over our mistakes and errors on our laboratory and electronics classes. Some can’t forget one drafting professor that’s very hard to please but been very good to me because he said he liked my penmanship. He used to give them low grades that made my friends applying for scholarship fear for qualifications. Anyway he gave me one of his highest grades but I don’t really like him. I’ve had my share of dealing with my hard subjects and thesis too but that’s the past and we just talked about it in reminiscing our times together.

Now that we’re grown ups we can laugh at our bad moments in college and actually thanked those experiences which made us successful in our career in line with our profession or not. Some of us didn’t make it to practice what we learned in college and have been successful in different field of work. All of these we learned to accept because life sometimes give us something that we didn’t expect of having and often we’re directed to a career different from what we studied. In all of these things in mind we should give our heartfelt thanks to God for giving us guidance in all endeavours we took in our lives.

Granny's Story About Gold Bars

My memory took me back to my childhood in our province where we used to play in the vast field, small narrow river and luscious fruit-bearing trees. It was only stories that I can share to my kids because we seldom go there and not on long period also so they didn’t experience living in the fresh and cool temperature of their Granny’s hometown. I have gold memories of my happy childhood with our dear Granny who was always there for us to give our childish whims and wishes.

I remember how she used to tell us stories of the war times when Japanese soldiers buried precious jewels and gold bars in our town. I really thought that half of those stories were fiction but after several years after she died I heard stories of land owners there who found the treasure. Still unbelievable but it’s true. Even these days they think there are more gold in those lands. Gold is really a good investment. Imagine after several decades the buried gold is still beautiful and more valuable to make anyone rich.

Saving for My Windows Phone

I hope one of my clients will pay me their dues this week because I need to save money for my dream windows phone I saw online. The phone is not yet in market this month but they will launch it this coming November in U.S. at a price I can very well afford. There are many kinds of mobile phones nowadays like smart phones, windows cell phones and many others. There are also hundreds of cell phone accessories, cell phone cases, headsets, chargers and more but I’m not the kind to buy them all. I’m a little frugal when it comes to buying my personal needs and that includes my dream windows phone. I’m saving money for that from my extra clients and not from my regular works because my regular earnings are for my family’s needs. Well anyway I’ve got plenty of extras these past two months and I think I’ll have funds for it this coming November.

Liability Claims for Defective Surgery

It must be so painful to experience damage in hip pockets and even worst if you have undergone a defective replacement surgery. Depuy Orthopedics offered joint replacement system to cure damaged hip pockets five years ago but after two years their patients started to experience swelling and severe pain that they finally filed complaints against the surgery. This prompted the hospital owned by Johnson & Johnson to recall thousands of hip replacement systems.

It turned out that there are imperfections and from the complaints made by their patients it was concluded that it’s all due to defective Depuy Hip Implant. This prompted people who feel like their implant were loosening and dislocating to file for Depuy lawsuitcase with the help of Austin, Texas Personal Injury Lawyers who provides legal help services to victims of this defective Depuy implant. They help the victims to get products liability claims from the hospital that they undergone surgery. It must be so painful to realize that you’ve been a victim of such medical defects. Feels Great to Have a Car Again

Now that we have a new pre-owned car to use in all our activities the kids are very happy and always thinking of places to go to. Sadly their school break started today when husband’s vacation has just ended. Hubby’s second semester classes started today so all our plans will have to wait for weekends or some unexpected vacation. Well we should allot funds for the car’s maintenance, repairs, car insurance, registration and many others. I know that having a car is like having another kid in the house because you have to maintain it to good working condition so you won’t have trouble when traveling. Despite of the expenses in store for us because of the car it’s still good and feels great to have a car again after one year.

:Today's Flowers #116/Ruby Tuesday: Little Red Blooms

Click the image to enlarge
We had a tree which bring forth this petite red blooms since childhood but lost it  when the national road widened and our garden was minimized into half of its original size.  This shot was taken beside  the little boy's school.  When I saw the tree I remembered our own old tree which becomes red when these little blooms appear. Hmmm I noticed I'm becoming sentimental these days! Just missing the old days when dear old daddy was still alive and gardening with my Mom.

Happy Monday! To see more lovely flower entries for today's flowers and red  themed photos at Ruby Tuesday click the badges!

Be Fit and Healthy

Since DH started his vacation from school I never had the time to do my workout on a daily schedule. I’m trying hard to do it every other day as I know skipping will be bad for my workout plan and my body will suffer too. I don’t want to experience my first days when all my limbs and joints were aching due to sudden changes of movement. Now I can move with ease and without pain at all. I can walk without catching up my breath and I can have workout for more than an hour without fainting. I’ve been reading about some weight loss tips and learned that exercise is one of the things needed to be fit, healthy and slim.

I had diet plans before and some of them were successful enough but I’ve never felt so great before I had this exercise regimen. It’s doing well not just for making you look trim but for making you feel stronger than before. With the current influx of discouraging diseases we really need to live healthy to avoid and prevent them from infecting us

The Real Beauty

When SIL was still here for a vacation she told us that her friends in G.B. love her skin more than theirs because the English people love their skin tanned. They don’t want the pale white skin which is very common to them. My SIL is a beautiful morena and her skin fits her looks with deep-set eyes which are always mistaken for an Arab descendant just like my husband. She maintained her Filipina skin because her English friends uses the best tanning lotion just to have a skin like her because they want to be as pretty as she is. We laughed at her story because here in the Phils. almost everybody wants to have fair complexion and they will do everything or buy expensive creams just to be as whiter as possible.

I think it depends on how you see yourself because a person doesn’t have to change anything in her if they’re confident of what they have. We should not concentrate on being fairer or prettier because looks isn’t all in life. There are far more important things in life that we should look into besides being beautiful.

Sweet Cravings

Ruth was asking me this morning my favorite RR cake and I told her that my first love is chocolate mousse. I know she’s planning something for my birthday because I caught her doing something in their desktop computer. She’s also taking notes of some menu she’s planning to cook. The little boy is counting the number of days before Christmas but she’s counting the days before my birthday which is easy because she only deducted 4 days from it. I really don’t know what she’s up to but we continued to talk about cakes and I end  up drooling for RR’s Cookies and Cream we had for Mom’s birthday.

I know I’m on diet but today is a weekend and weekends are free days for me so I’m allowed to eat anything I want including this cake I posted here. I’ll just look for the right diet pills for women if my natural diet plan failed to control my weight after eating the cake. Sometimes we have to let go of our diet regimen and give in to our cravings. It’s not that bad I think because it’s still early and I can burn whatever I’ve eaten. It’s fine as long as I don’t give in to my sweet cravings at night because for sure I’ll gain weight again.

Discovering Pests in Your Homes

It’s fun decorating the house and rearranging it to give a twist or a new look but sometimes it will open your eyes to few imperfections of your house. That’s how we discovered a flaw in one of our walls few years ago. We found the inside of the wood walls empty because termites infested it. It was not obvious to anyone but if you knock on it you’ll discover the damage done by the pests. Because of this we checked every wall in the house and were relieved to find that others were not affected except for the two adjoining walls of the first floor room. We had the whole room treated and the walls replaced to avoid further infestation.

If you experienced having pests in your house like fire ant, termites, cockroaches, rats, mosquitoes and other insects you should hire professional staff to do it like Bulls Eye Pest Control, a Houston pest control company dedicated to help you treat and eradicate pests in your house. They provide quality pest control services to avoid termites, flea, fire ant, bee and other insects from raiding your homes. With their expertise and high technology means they give the highest quality of service at affordable rates. You can now say goodbye to damaging pests and insects that harm our house as well as our bodies.

Lax in Observing Rules and Warnings

I always notice something when we’re filling up our gas tank every Sunday. I’ve observed that the gasoline station personnel is not so strict about the use of cellular phones and those people who have their cigarette sticks while on the premises of the station. I think it’s only here that people are lax about following hazard signs such as the ones I’ve mentioned. For me it’s best if we will implement the rules strictly to avoid accidents or have attractive osha signs which can catch the attention of the public. It should create awareness of the dangers of evading the simple rules and hazard warning. I just can’t help feeling bad that people doesn’t learn their lessons until they’ve experienced being victimized by accidents.

A Short Vacation in Our Hometown Province

It’s DH semestral break and he’s using up his vacation in general maintenance of the house and checking up Mazy, our car. He’s used to fast paced work in his former 19-year old job and he doesn’t waste any of his free time. We have plans of having vacation because he wants me to have some break from my busy schedule and online tasks but the kids are still in school. They will start having their school semestral break next week when DH would start schooling again. How I wish they have the same dates of school break so we’ll have a longer vacation.

We’re not going for an Outer Banks vacation rentals although I’m dreaming for that one several months back. We’re just planning a mini vacation in our hometown in Laguna so we and the kids will be able to rest and relax in the peaceful and fresh environment of our province. It’s also less than an hour away from Pacific Ocean so we can go to the beach easily if we want to. Hope we’ll still be able to make our plan a reality.

Old Stories from the Past

There are many beautiful moments in our lives but sometimes we fail to recognize them as they come simply. Sometimes I want to relax myself so I would have time for the simple things in life which I failed to notice most of the time because of the regular duties and chores that took up most of my time. I envy those old folks in the province because they have all the time in the world to appreciate everything coming their way and to talk of how much they value their investment of gold coin and other precious jewelries.

That’s what I heard when I was a child, the folks near me has been talking about how many wealth were hidden in our town. As a child I believed it of course because children tend to believe what they hear from the seniors. Now some of the stories came true but some still remained in the minds of old folks. Well the memories were precious to me and I don’t mind if the stories are true or not. Sometimes we need stories to get our life going.

Gen's First in Basic Encoding Skills

I'm always posting this in my education blog Beyond Horizons but I'm sharing it here now. Gen was always competing in several of her academic subjects in Filipino essay, Press Conference, Math, even the sport of Chess and now in EPP skills. She has experienced getting the runner up medals and certificates but she didn't made it to No. 1 position and she longed to experience to compete for the inter-town level which they call it Division Level. Well that day she was very determined to really make it to the first place and I was there to witness her efforts. I was praying the whole time she's doing the exam and I thought it was hard for her. I was surprised when she finally declared that she's finished ahead of time. That's the time that she smiled to me and gave me our famous thumbs up sign. My kids were used to giving me that sign whenever they want to tell me everything is ok.

Their school coaches/teachers who were with them were happy when the awarding took place as they all got the first positions. They were three from their class who competed, one was for flower arrangement, the other one was for fabric painting and Gen for basic encoding skills. They all went home happy that they bagged the first place and will all compete with the contestants from all towns in Rizal Province. Of course I was a happy Mom and I thanked God for giving Gen the wisdom.

Missing Iya's Celebration

We’re sad to miss the birthday of one of our favorite baby. She celebrated her first birthday today though her real birthday is on Monday. She lives in a different town that’s why we never attempted to travel when we’re finally free from Gen’s school activities. Redge and the kids were all ready and they’ve waited for us for almost 3 hours before we finally decided we will never make it because the rains are also heavy since early afternoon.

Gen was thinking of Iya while she’s waiting for the competition to finish but we really can’t do something about the situation so I told her to just concentrate on her contest. I know they will understand us because my niece Heidi who is Iya’s Mom is also a primary school teacher and she knows the rules. I saw how sad Josh was when we arrived past 5 in the afternoon and he was informed that we can’t make it. I was happy that although he’s very young he can understand situations like this one like an older kid.

:Ruby Tuesday/Wordless Wednesday: Lovely Contrast

Click the image to enlarge

This has caught my attention because I love flowers and these red santan are beautifully trimmed to form a circular shape surrounding the pale-leaves tree. I love the stark contrast between the trees pale mint (almost white) leaves and the vivid color of red. Just perfect! Btw this landscape can be seen at the parking lot of Ever shopping mall in Ortigas. Will love having it in our garden :-)

Little Boy’s Query

I was helping my kid on his assignment about his Science subject when he asked me about what will they do with the barbecue stick, carrot and the wide-mouthed bottle. He was always excited with their art activities that he can’t help asking or guessing what they will make for the coming day’s activity. Yesterday he asked me about attorneys and what’s their role in the society. I told him that they were to solve issues with legal things, defend or accuse people depending on the needed services of their clients. I’m glad that he didn’t asked about particular legal things like Texas Maritime lawyers because I wouldn’t have an answer for that. All I know is their scope of services because maritime refers to the sea so I supposed its legal services for sea-related cases or those working in maritime.

Forex and Economy

I’m confused with the way things are when it comes to forex exchange and the effect it has on the country. I was made to believe in the past years that it’s good for a country like us to have an exchange rate equivalent to lesser peso because it means that our currency is getting stronger but I just can’t relate these changes to what’s happening in the prices of basic commodities. When dollars goes down the prices in peso should lower down but as I see it it’s not affecting the usual and normal groceries that we buy on supermarket. I only see the difference when I buy gadgets online. I was thinking if an advanced Forex training would help me understand the effect of forex on our economy. I know it should be a balance of things when it comes to economy, basic commodity price setups and some other things. I should learn some basic data about forex.

Longing for a Cabin House

We’ve dropped by a furniture store and looked for some nice sofa beds for the kids’ rooms. I was always in awe at the latest innovation and style of the modern furniture. DH knows a lot about furniture and appliances because he was employed in one of the biggest appliance store. He knows all about material used, finishes, grade and quality. He almost knows all of the brands and supplier. I was fond of looking at beautiful modern and stylish furniture but sometimes I also long for log furniture we have in the province because they looked so simple, fresh and homey just like living in the rural areas. Anyway we can still have them here in the urban areas. I guess we just need some interior designing to be in harmony with some of our existing furniture. Talk about creating a cabin-inspired room!

Geared Up for Halloween

When we dropped toy kingdom last weekend we saw that the store is fully geared up for the coming Halloween as it looks like a haunted house and not a toy store lol! The store is full of frightening masks, kids halloween costumes and accessories to make the coming season complete. I’m glad that Josh wasn’t scared of all those things as he keep on smiling on each frightening costumes and masks he passed by. We’re not there to look for costumes though but to look for his fave robots. We ended buying Almanac books for their collection and also a gift to my brother. Books are for all ages and Almanac is not an exemption.

Choosing Your Wedding Rings

My cousin is looking and searching through different styles of wedding rings. He’s not decided yet where to buy their wedding rings though her sister recommended a good place to buy in Manila. Since they’re in the province now he’s looking at the possibility of having it online for convenient searching and buying. Anyway it’s still early so they have ample time to do that. I don’t know how much are they going to spend on their wedding rings but one of his relative is looking at the possibility of buying wholesale loose diamonds because they seem so much cheaper than the retail ones. Wedding preparations are really stressful especially when you think of all the things needed like flowers, cake, invitations, reception, gowns, entourage outfit, list of sponsors, pictures, videos, cars and place of honeymoon. Well the last one may be the medicine for all the stress of the occasion as that would be their relaxing and bonding moments.

Inquisitive Little Boy

My little boy is getting very inquisitive these days with every little thing that enters his mind. He always has those questions that will knock you off your chair and he’s so persistent on getting the answers. He just saw the ncstar binoculars I have browsed online and asking me if he could have it because he wants to see the flying birds clearly even when they are at a distance. He wants to try everything he sees and when he wants to know something or see what it is he’ll log in to Google and type the keyword to search. Well I saw him typing the planets, universe and his landscape assignments just now. He told me that he can do surfing and assignment research on his own.

Dream Come True

My friend wants to put up her internet business but her capital is not enough to support her dream internet cafe. She’s planning to make it really big because she’s based on a place near school and business area. It’s been her plan for several years now and this year she really wants her plans to push through. She’s now preparing some of her legal documents because she found a way to have additional finances. She needs the documents because she’s applying to an asset based lenders and she would like her needed loan approved. I wish she’ll have her loan as soon as possible for her to start the business next month. I know it would make her very happy to see her internet cafe operating in few weeks’ time.

Cousin's Wedding Preparations

My cousin in the province is getting married and his elder sister visited us to tell the good news of his youngest sibling getting married at last. We talked about how easy it is now to buy the ready-made wedding gowns, groom’s outfit, bridesmaid dresses and all things needed for the whole entourage. The couple originally wanted custom-made gowns to be fit and tailored in the town miles away from them. The elder sister suggested that they can choose among wide variety of wedding gown style and finishes in Manila the same day.

Not so far from the place they could also round up Ongpin, a well-known place for all kinds  of  jewelry especially wedding rings. I remember getting our wedding rings in the same place and it’s a very nice place for me as you can get them at the wholesale price compared when you buy them on other shops. We were accompanied by my Auntie who was a certified jewelry lady several years back. I suggested some shops there where you could also have your names engraved. My cousin want his brother and soon to be sister-in-law not to be too tired with gowns and rings because there are many choices now compared in the early times when gowns should be custom fitted and everything in slow preparation. We’re now in the modern times and we should take advantage of the good advantages of making your wedding less stressful.

Health Card Helps a Lot

It seems that sickness is in the air as many kids now suffers from various sickness like cough, colds, dengue, skin allergy and many others. When you happen to visit the hospital whether it’s a private or public one you’ll see that there are many patients and you’ll have difficulty in electing the room you want. Anywhere it’s more bearable if you have fund for the sick loved one. It’s cheaper to be sick when you have a health card or something like the Medicare plan which will shoulder hospital expenses and make your burden easier. I’m glad that on my three caesarean operations I was able to get all the benefits of having my own health card. It relieved us the tension of paying high hospital bills especially that my birth deliveries are always caesarean births.

Importance of Having Health Insurance

My friend’s Mom was rushed to hospital due to her high blood pressure but she’s fine now and following orders from her doctor and family not to do anything that would trigger her blood pressure to reach high level beyond the average limit. She’s like my Mom who doesn’t want to just sit and relax; they want to get moving even if they’re already old. My friend is asking me about getting membership form from government insurance company where my family is a member. She wants to avail benefits from such health insurance companies like NC health insurance so when there’s emergency needs she can count on their insurances to give them support on health problems and medications. I should get the forms next week so she can be a member too.

Safe and Secured from Unwanted Guests

We want our family to be safe and secured always but we’re not at their side at all times especially when they’re at home and you’re out to do some errands. I’ve always admired my neighbor who painstakingly studied the pros and cons of having home security cameras in their house and come up with a gadget which no one can suspect that it can record all incoming and outgoing guests. He can also view people outside their house specifically at the post of their gate. I would also like to have a gadget like that to protect my home from unwanted guests. Actually I saw a wireless wall clock surveillance system and got interested in it because no one can possibly guess that it’s a recorder and surveillance gadget thus it will serve its purpose.

Take Advantage of the Peak Season

There are plenty of outpouring tasks these past few weeks and I’m planning to invest some of my hard-earned money on profitable investment. I should take advantage of the peak season in my job because our job is not as grand as this always. Now I’m looking into possible investment that can give me high returns like buying gold coins and other precious metals. Gold has been a solid investment from the old generation as told by my Grand Mom when she’s still living. This is the reason why they tend to collect high valued gold in different forms in the old days. Now I know it will increase its high value more as the years go by.

They Have Their Preferences Now

When we go to the mall and look for clothes hubby always push me to buy things for myself especially my blouses. I’m not an impulse buyer and I don’t usually shop for my personal things without occasion so instead I’ll get him to see the store’s men's clothing for church service and casual occasions. He’s not an impulse buyer either and does personal shopping on schedule so we devote our time and money on our kids who love to have their things bought when they’re around. My girls are big enough to choose their own clothes, bags and shoes. They have their own preferences now so it’s only the little boy that I have full responsibility to shop for clothes. I know after few more years he’ll have his choices also.

HCG Diet

I’m again taking a brave step towards shedding excess pounds for health reasons. I started yesterday with the no-rice meal diet during dinner and happy that I can do it again. It was my fear that I’ll have difficulty getting back to my healthy meal regimen but determination helped me. I’m actually used to having no rice last summer but when I started taking so many online works my eating habit changed and my health suffered. Now I know I should take a forward step into it because I don’t want to see myself regretting that I should have done it earlier.

As for other diet support I’m still thinking if I need one like the hcg injections I browsed online which is very effective but has some risks when injected improperly. Patient can get bruises, sore or cysts so there are other options available which has the same effects as this one like oral hcg which must be refrigerated and injectable but when mixed with certain acids can be absorbed through mouth just like other oral supplements. This is the better option for those who feels awkward with injection but both forms are of the same effects.

They also have this hcg diet which helps to eliminate abnormal fat first and corrects the metabolism of the patient. We all know that metabolism plays an important role on how a person can easily shed off or gain excess pounds. This will help the patient maintain their bodies after the weight loss program. All patients who have undergone a weight loss program should maintain to have a well balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, fish, poultry and meat. Our body needs all these foods and we must refrain from eating fatty foods. Drinking water often is a plus factor too because it eliminates fake hunger too.

:Today's Flowers #111/Ruby Tuesday: SIL Blooms

Click the image to enlarge
This is one of the flowers in my sister-in-law's garden in UK which I asked her to share  with me for my blog.  Gardening and growing beautiful flowers like this one is one of the favorite hobbies of ate Zen.  This is only one of her pretty blooms.  I've featured her Dahlia here few weeks ago.  She's a little sad that her garden will only last for a few months because when winter sets in she'll say goodbye to them and restore the garden again on spring unlike here in our tropical country where you can have your garden the whole year round, well on stormy days you can just bring the flowers on pots inside the house to protect them.

I wish she can send those blooms here before the winter lol!

About Growing Up

My two girls are growing up so fast and they’re almost reaching up to my height. I’m 5’3” in height and I think they will catch up on me few years from now. I asked my Mom if we have grand grandparents that will justify the surprising height of my girls and she told me that her father and grandfather were tall. So maybe that’s the explanation of the sudden growing up of my kids, well except for my little boy who seems to be smaller for his age. When he was born he’s one of the biggest in the nursery but now he’s the second smallest in class though I may say he looks cute with his form I don’t want him to worry about it when he grow old.

When I read about a review by hgh releaser they discuss that height can’t be achieved by hcg but due to genetic hormones. Well my friend told me that some boys grow up fast before their puberty so I’m hopeful that my little boy will catch up on her two sisters. Who knows maybe he’ll be taller than them when the time comes. For now I’ll enjoy this little charmer boy!

Knowing the Right Investment

We went shopping for foods and other essentials last week and I was really surprised with the fast paced increase in prices. All basic commodities are the ones that incur high percentage of increase. This is just bad as salaries of employees and workers continue to be that small. I’m not surprised why there are many applications now for loans and credits. It’s because their wages are not enough to support their family’s needs. I told my friends in my previous job that they should have investment so they can have other sources when things get rough. There are many fields of business where you can place your money. You can buy gold coin or other precious metals because they were tangible investment. They can try small-scale business, realty business or any other investment but it should be what you really want to do in life.

:Today's Flowers #111/Ruby Tuesday: Vietnam Rose

Click the image to enlarge
This is my take for this week's Today's Flowers and Ruby Tuesday.  This was taken in the village where my MIL lives.  We had a weekend vacation there and rounded up the village for a morning exercise.  When I noticed these petite blooms outside the gate of one house the owner suddenly came out and talked to us.  I thought she didn't want strangers but on the contrary asked me if I want to get some blooms so I can grow them also.  What a sweet neighbor.  She then asked us who is our relative in the village but guessing as she ask us confirming her guess because she said my husband had the same deep set eyes and Indian looks :-)

Now we also have the same blooms in our garden but I want to go back there to get some more lavender and pink blooms.  There are variety of vietnam rose colors like red, yellow, pink, lavender and red orange.

Happy Monday! To see more lovely flower entries for today's flowers and red  themed photos at Ruby Tuesday click the badges!

She's Out of Danger

I'm so glad that Ruth's fever has finally dropped down and she's free from the danger of dengue fever. She got sick last Thursday after school and we had her CBC and platelet Count tested at the laboratory yesterday. It was a weekend that sent DH, Ruth and I to the municipality hospital and was surprised to find the hospital full of patients. I learned also that the prevailing sickness these days are broncho pneumonia and dengue. Ruth's lab tests are good and her rashes and fever were all due to viral infection. Now she's just recuperating and I hope she'll make it tomorrow to school. I'll let her rest today.

Want to Try Gold Investment?

My school friend has a lot of things to talk about. She told me that one of these days she’ll drop by so we can have unlimited time together. We’ve been separated for several years around two decades if I can remember it right. She’s resentful that she wasn’t successful in pursuing a career pertaining to our course. Actually she may not make it to our field but she’s successful in her own chosen work. She’s become a business woman managing brokerage, travel agency, employment agency and many other businesses that take her fancy. She’s into investments also and I told her if she wants to try investing on gold coins. She’s not familiar with it but she love collecting gold jewelries. I told her to visit United States Gold Bureau sites where she can look and choose from among their offered gold coins. She can have it deposited to a bank secured deposit for safe and secured investment.

Back to Driving

DH is now back to driving and he’s been very active lately in bringing back the pickup to good running condition as it hasn’t been used for more than two months.  He checked up the battery and was relieved that it’s still good and just need some recharging.  Every car that’s not in use regularly usually have some little trouble so it’s better to use your car at twice or thrice a week.  Well this is good for second hand cars like ours.  We need to have change oil for the car and install new motor for the wiper.  We’re positive that we can finish with all of our car’s needs before December because we’ll use it for our camp meeting in Tagaytay City.  It will be a long travel for us that’s why we need to have a good running car.
The kids were happy as we don’t have to wait for long for taxicab which is getting harder to get because they always want contract price for their service.  They want additional fare aside from the flag down rate and meter reading.  They really know how and when to make demands and that’s during heavy rains.  Now we can go home as soon as our church service ends.  I just noticed some few things that should be added also in the car and that’s installing some good quality rain guards that would protect the car from airstreams and raindrops caused normally by rainy season.
Well with all things that I need for the car I found CARiD.com and was happy to see their wide variety of online automotive accessories.  No need to worry about the brands and kinds available because they have it all for their clients.  Their products can do a lot for your car be it interior or exterior.  You can trust them to give you the best for your car’s performance, comfort and styling.
