Big Time Meals

Are you fond of value or big time meals? My kids are! If they want pizza you can satisfy them with Greenwich big time meals which are available in three varied kinds. Joshua love the P69 meal because it has chicken, my two girls love the P49 meal because they just want pizza, hubby and me of course we want them all the P99 because it has everything on it, chicken, spaghetti, pizza and of course my fave macaroni salad!

Productive Leave

I'm on leave today because of some stomach upset due to colds yesterday; I had a hard time getting a ride, spent 30 minutes each on my two rides going home, just had one of those days. I just checked my emails and assignment deadline before giving myself a rest yesterday night. I woke up feeling slight uncertain upset in my stomach; actually since I was in high school I was really prone to the smell of the soil before the raindrops. It keeps my stomach boiling but now I only have slight pain.

Anyway as I'm on my sheltered home I feel good before noon and because it's late already to prepare my things I decided to make my leave a whole day, so I found the time to do my pending assignments, good for me as I've been thinking about when can I finish it. I usually do it a night; I'm a night blogger you know! But now I'm glad that I can sleep earlier, pretty good isn't it!

Have visited my brother’s project site, he’s an engineer contractor who’s into building houses and buildings. I’m really fascinated with the new technology in house improvement and building. Innovations are really important in this field as they make homes more beautiful, durable and economical like the vinyl siding that I saw in their latest project. He said that this material is a combination of beauty and value. I’ve noticed that it’s easy to install and very economical. I love seeing beautiful projects of my brother.

Cravings

Showers of rain are starting to fall and it's getting cold but still I'm craving for an ice cream, yes I love eating ice cream when I'm blogging even if a little disturbing on my part. It's like a therapy to me, you know! My kids are also ice cream lovers as when we go to any mall we always stopped by to have one be it Selecta or Herns or any other Mr. Softy type that you pass by in the mall as long as it's an ice cream.

But now I want McDo's Mcflurry where I can dip my fries into it. Sad I'm too lazy to get out of the house. Will just text my hubby to bring me one. Such cravings!

Cabinet Knobs

Buying things for the house is always a pleasure for me as I can project certain ambience when I choose the right kind. I see to it that I’m always there in selecting accessories, fixtures and appliances. I’m really keen on choosing the right material, color, made and quality, not necessarily the branded one as long as it has the quality. Like for our wardrobe cabinet I was the one who choose the bronze cabinet knobs for it so as to coordinate the semi-walnut color of our cabinet. I had to choose from wide varieties but I settled for the bronze type as it matched the furniture very well.

Excited Josh

Josh was excited about school that he arranged everything that we bought; anyway forgive him as little kids really gets excited on small things. I told them that they're lucky because some children can't buy all things that they want because they can't afford them so they should take care of their things and appreciate even the small ones. I noticed when we were buying things in the bookstore that the usual rush of people on the month before the school opens is not there. I was prepared to be in contact with someone else's arms when choosing notebooks, ballpens and some other school supplies but what we've seen is just an ordinary Sunday customers. This must be because people are now glued on the price increase of rice, gasoline and other food items that they put away the school opening shopping for a later date. Really - season's change and also priorities because of economic crisis.

Learning Golf

Golf as they say is the sports of the rich and famous. I can say it’s true as I’ve seen the status of living of most golf players are really in the above average level. Anyway that’s most of them as you can’t say all of them. Like for instance my colleagues in the telecoms industry learned to play golf because one of our big clients used to invite him to play golf whenever he ask for a meeting.

As its part of the sales and marketing job he succumbed and started learning the sports. After almost a year of casually playing golf he was given by our client an X series Callaway irons as an appreciation of his willingness to join their sports even if he has difficulty in doing so. He was so touched by the gesture and he really liked the gift as this will provide him a good performance and confidence in playing golf.

Shopping for School Things

It's school shopping once again, so after the enrollment I want to have an early shopping for school supplies to avoid rush and stampede on bookstores :-) We were just having a break time from our fellowship and we walked to the nearest mall in SM Cubao and Alimall. We let the kids choose the bags that they want and after inspection and everything we paid and hopped to their favorite branch of National Bookstore where they spent quick malling on Sundays. My kids especially Ruth and Gen were always there the reason why they want to buy their school things there. They say it's easier because they almost knew everything that the store has.

I've seen Ruth in SM getting a little teary-eyed as there are more people there and she can't fix her mind on choosing her things, she gets upset and I told her to give up and we'll just go to NB-Alimall. Glad I had 50% discount on Josh' bag as my bills are getting bigger huh! I just want to buy at SM because there are lots to choose from. It was a quick 30-minute shopping at the bookstore as we didn't bring the car and it's starting to rain, it's just a 5-10 minute walk to the church. Also our afternoon service will start in an hour, I'm just glad that my kids are big enough to understand the value of time and of hurriedly getting back to church for the service. I helped choose things and we successfully finished our marathon shopping. They were so excited with their school things.

Grocery Day

Had one of those marketing and grocering days last Saturday but the happy part of that day was I brought along my kids, all three of them to market. First we dropped by the nearest booth of donuts, their favorites whatever the brand is just as long as it's a donut :-). As they happily walked with donuts in their hands I introduced them to things present in the market, fish, meat, chicken, fruits and vegetables.

We even entered the clothes shops there and I let them choose their personal things like sleep and housewear. It's pretty economical to buy there than on big department stores. After having bought all food items there we then crossed the overpass to eat at robinsons and buy some grocery items there including chicken which I personally prefer to buy in supermarkets especially when it's not early morning. Yes I only buy at wet markets if it's newly dressed.

It's nice having my kids accompany me on my marketing as I personally asked them what they want for our viands, kids also have preferences you know! I let them choose juices, biscuits, cupcakes, cereals, spreads and milk. They also love food shopping just like mommy :-)
