Preparing for the Next Holiday

The long holiday season is over and we’re back to regular programming of life, work and the daily activities of everyday living. Still I remember those gifts I received and gave last month and was thankful that I was able to share my blessings again this year. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to work hard, save money and be able to buy those holiday gift ideas I have in my mind next holiday because it will bring happiness to my loved ones.

Speaking of holiday I learned that this coming Holy Week will be a long holiday again as it will be followed by National Heroes day. We’re all looking forward again on that day where we will have our regular summer camp fellowship meeting. I should start looking for tents now as our 7-year old tent has shown expiration already and we should have replacement for it as we’re going to sleep on tents on Holy Week activities.

Early Shopping of Cards

Holidays are coming and I know my best friend will start buying holiday cards as early as now. Even if communications and greeting are so easy these days and e-cards are just there for us she still wants to have the regular Christmas cards sent over the regular mail. She said it’s more sentimental to send and receive the old-fashioned card. She’s making it as early as possible because most of the cards she sends are for those relatives they have living abroad and for her siblings in the Middle East and Australia.

Heading Off to Our Summer Camp

As I'm writing this we're getting ready for our travel to Tagaytay City for our December camp meeting 4-day fellowship service. It's not actually in Tagaytay City but very near this town - in Indang, Cavite. We'll be staying in Villa Dominga Forest Resort and we'll be sleeping on tents. In an hour or so we'll finish packing up our bags to our car and start the long travel up South. To my ec friends I hope to drop by your sites on Monday when we come back here in Metro. I wish you all peace, love and happiness on the coming holidays.

Make Them Feel Special!

Almost everyone is preparing themselves for this special occasion. In the Philippines it’s the longest holiday because as early as September people are busy with decorating their houses, business establishments, schools and everywhere you go there’s always one or two significant thing that will remind you of the coming occasion. They say it’s the most celebrated occasion all over the globe and the most festive I think because of the period people seem to allot to Christmas season.

I still remember the old school days when we were all excited about giving and receiving christmas cards and the feeling of happiness whenever we receive many cards. It would always mean that many people care and love you. It’s an expression of how much someone cares about you be it from special crush, special friend, mother, father, siblings and relatives. It’s all about giving your love. The true spirit of Christmas is showing your love and giving out something of yourself be it small gift, special card or your love just as long as it comes from the heart.

Even in these times of modern technology it’s still sweet to receive the traditional cards where we bought from bookstore but now you can order it online at ChristmasCards.uk.com. Cool isn’t it? Well for busy people it’s heaven as they can send cards to their precious friends and relatives in a much more convenient way. It can still look your own card as you can personalize it with your own words and designs. Now if you’re into saving our earth they have recycled Christmas cards which are made out of recycled papers, well that will help our environment too! So make your list now and send them early! I’m sure your family and friends will feel very special.

Holiday Date Changes

It’s a replaced holiday once again commemorating the National Heroes day which is really on the 9th of this month. The President has chosen this day to replace the real date because it will fall on Good Friday. It’s not new anymore as many holiday dates were changed to fit in a more comfortable setup like extending weekends like this one. This changing of dates has advantages and disadvantages but because it always happens people are getting accustomed to these changes making them wait for the announcement whenever holidays occur. Anyway this time it really helps me a lot as I’m on a one-month
Leave.

Ramadan Holiday

Nice spending bonding time with my three kids today. Today is the end of Ramadan and to respect our Muslim brothers it is declared a national holiday. Good for me as I have to do some shopping and fill my cabinet with grocery supplies. My schedule of replenishing food stocks in the house is on every payday which falls on a two-week interval unlike wet market which is done on a weekly schedule.

Now maximizing my time I’ve already dropped Ec and posted some assignments early to avoid cramming on deadlines, part-time bloggers like me really have a busy schedule on work that deadline sometimes hound them lol! How I wish that I have more time to visit more sites and read, I would really love to read entries if only I have time to spare. Anyway that would be possible in a few months from now.
