Three Benefits of Taking Swimming Lessons from a Pro

Whether you’re a beginning swimmer or a seasoned one, there are many benefits to taking lessons from a pro. A pro who is teaching swimming has lots of knowledge and experience that he or she can share with you. If you’re going to learn, why not learn from the best? Look at three specific benefits you can enjoy if you take swimming lessons from a pro.

Increase Your Speed

Maybe you love to swim the butterfly stroke, but you want to increase your speed. A pro instructor can show you how to swim faster while performing the butterfly stroke with precision. Or, perhaps you’re a high school student with a swim competition coming up and you want to increase your speed in the freestyle race. A pro instructor is more than qualified to help you accomplish that goal. You may even get some inside tips that can help put you over the top in terms of your own personal swimming goals.

Correct Your Mistakes

If you find yourself feeling awkward as you perform the backstroke, the breaststroke or another stroke, your pro instructor can observe you and help you correct any mistakes. Perhaps your instructor will help you work on your form, so you feel more at ease as you move through the water. Or, maybe your instructor will help you with breathing control. A pro has seen many common mistakes and knows how to help someone do better.

Gain Confidence

A pro instructor has the skills and talent to help you gain confidence in your swimming abilities. This type of instructor knows how difficult it is to work up to a certain level in swimming and can empathize with a student’s efforts to get better. Having a pro on your side can make all the difference.

Look for a pro instructor who is patient and dedicated to helping energetic swimmers achieve their goals in the sport. The investment you make in getting a pro instructor will pay off in the end.

Benefits of Joining a Golf Club

Golf clubs are new alternatives to traditional country clubs that are just as upscale but a little less stuffy. Many of the top clubs today are those that sell membership packages for those who love golfing. In addition to one or more golf courses, most clubs have other amenities like pros who can give you a few lessons and shops that offer equipment and clothing for sale. You'll even find bars and snack shops on-site that let you share a drink after a round or grab a full meal. These clubs offer a number of nice benefits for members.

Free Golfing

Before buying a golf membership, always ask if members receive free golfing passes. These passes let you play a round of golf for free whenever you want. Some courses let members golf for free on weekdays and offer discount rates on weekends. These clubs do not charge any fees for most games because the fee is included in your membership cost. Other clubs charge for golfing but keep the rates low for members. You may have the chance to book tee times well in advance of when you want to play too.

Merchandise Discounts

One benefit of becoming a member is that you usually get a card that qualifies you for discounts on merchandise in the pro shop. The pro shop is an on-site shop that sells equipment and accessories for golfers like new clubs and bags as well as ball markers, hats and shirts. You can get a brand new outfit or purchase the clubs that you always wanted for a low rate. Some clubs offer discounts on special order merchandise too. This refers to any product that the shop does not have in stock but can order for you. You may even receive a discount at the club's bar or restaurant.

Guest Passes

As a member of a golf club, you can usually request guest passes too. These passes let you play with friends and family who do not belong to the club. The club may limit the number of passes that you can request in a year or restrict you on when you can bring others into the club. Guests must follow all the rules of the club during their visits. Anyone who loves golfing and plays regularly will find some great benefits associated with becoming a golf club member.

Five of the Best Roads for Cycling in Australia

When it comes to scenery, Australia is truly unique. The desert and the bush in the outback look almost alien to the eye because of its one of a kind rock formation. Many cyclists enjoy these views while they trek across state lines and some of these rough terrains prepare them for tough races.

But cyclists are not limited to the outback; there are rainforests, endless beaches and pristine city streets. However, some trails need a reasonable level of fitness and require experience in bike touring. Self-sufficiently is the key if you want to disappear on a bike ride for two weeks. Just be sure that you have the right equipment. Check out http://www.merida.com.au/ for ideas on what you need. Here is a list of five of the best trails you can ride along.

1. The South Coast of Western Australia

Not much traffic along this road which is good because there is plenty to see when it comes to beaches and nature. Sightseeing highlights include; wineries, Margaret River, Cape Leeuwin lighthouse, rail trails, Greens Pool and national parks. With plenty of hills to climb up, the South Coast is an interesting rollercoaster ride on two wheels.

2. Great Ocean Road One of the best bike riding trails in Australia; many cyclists venture here to sample the area's diverse hinterland. Whether it is mountain biking or cycling along the stretchy road, you can see a lot. There is the Twelve Apostles, Bells Beach, Port Fairy, rainforests and numerous waterfalls. Animals unique to Australia's wildlife also make an appearance.

3. Melbourne's Bay-in-a-day trek This trail takes you around the famous city and is 200km long. Cyclists are able to stretch out this trek over as many days as you like because there is a lot to see at Queenscliff and Geelong. Museums, Indigenous art and culture, old architecture and train trails. As for the city of Melbourne, it is the shopping destination of Australia. Bourke St Mall and Swanston St is the place to go. The cuisine is very multicultural and hotels are a plenty. Crown casino is there and also a large aquarium. Luna Park also calls Melbourne home.

4. Sydney Harbour Bridge Known as the most recognisable landmark in Australia, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is a great way to see the harbour. Over 1600 commuters use this bridge weekly and that includes cyclists. This bridge is the busiest link in the Metro Sydney Bike Network. Besides the harbour, cyclists can see the famous Sydney Opera House and sample many of its restaurants. There are also many great parks to relax in for a picnic.

5. Brisbane to the Gold Coast Cycle Challenge The largest and most popular race in Queensland, this is a road challenge, many cyclists wait every year for because they can raise money for charity. 100km long, riders leave from Brisbane’s South Bank and travel along the Pacific Motorway to Broadwater Parklands in Southport. But riders can choose to complete the 60km long trek or finish at intervals. To help keep this event fun, the organizers get live entertainment and setup plenty of food stalls.

How to Buy the Best Pool Table

When you’re in the market for a pool table, there are few things you should know before you choose the one you’ll add to your game room. This way you’ll choose the right one that will provide you many years of enjoyment.

The Size

Your pool table must fit comfortably in your game room. If you have a large room, consider purchasing the biggest pool table of 9 feet. If you have a medium size room, choose the 7 or 8 foot pool table.

You’ll need space around the pool table to use your cue sticks. You’ll need at least six feet between the table and the wall to be comfortable while shooting.

Quality Over Price

Many people will jump to buy the cheapest pool table available. This isn’t always the best choice because inexpensive tables often end up being the ones that don’t last. If you want to purchase a pool table that will give you many hours of playtime, choose a quality one for a good price.

Warranty Options

When you buy a pool table, make sure they come with a warranty. It’s also a good idea to ensure the company you’re purchasing from has been in business for a while. That way it will be less likely for it to shut down soon after you buy your pool table, and you’re left with no support if a repair is needed.

Leveling Service

You can’t play a fair game of pool without a leveled pool table. For this reason, you need to ask the company you purchase the pool table from if they offer leveling service. They can come to your home with a caliber especially designed to test pool tables. They will make sure it’s even, so you can play better than you have ever played.

What Will You Purchase for Accessories?

When people buy pool tables in Rochester, they need the following accessories:

·         Cues
·         Cue chalk
·         Cue rack
·         Balls
·         Wooden rack
·         Table brush

Once you have all of these items, you’ll be ready to play pool in the comfort of your home. Invite some family and friends over and have a tournament. These times make the memories you’ll remember for a lifetime. Enjoy your new pool table!

Gifts that Will Keep You Happy on the Slopes

Whether you are an accomplished expert on the slopes or just getting started, skiing can be a wonderful pastime. Skiing gives you the opportunity to challenge yourself, learn a new sport and enjoy some quality time with your friends and family. From the bunny slope to the toughest black diamond hills, there are plenty of ways for skiers of all ages and experience levels to have a great time.

If you have a skier on your gift list, or if you are an avid skiing enthusiast, there are some great gifts that will help your friends, or yourself, get the most out of their chosen sport. No matter how much or how little you have to spend, there are ways you can enjoy a wonderful day on the slopes and in the snow.

A Brand New Parka

You naturally want to stay warm while skiing, but you want to be fashionable as well. You can accomplish both goals with a great new ski parka. You can find a parka for everyone on your gift list, and pick up one for yourself as well, at a variety of shopping venues. You might want to head online to see what is available, including sizes, colors and the latest styles. You can then shop around and compare prices to see which store gives you the biggest bang for your buck.

Whether you ultimately choose to buy your ski parka from a local ski shop or opt for the convenience of an online purchase, the recipients of your thoughtful gifts will certainly be appreciative. Everyone – from the beginning skier to the most advanced athlete, needs a warm and wonderful ski parka.

Ski Gloves

Gloves are an essential piece of ski equipment, and you do not want to hit the slopes without them. Anyone who has ever tried their hand at skiing knows how cold it can get after a few hours on the slopes. You can keep everyone on your gift list warm and toasty with a few pairs of new ski gloves.

The great thing about ski gloves is that you can give an assortment of pairs and let each skier on your list choose the perfect fit. Whether they are heading out for a casual day on the slopes or a serious competition, those recipients will appreciate the variety of gloves you have provided.

A Season Long Lift Ticket

Skiing is a sport that can be enjoyed all season long, from the late days of autumn all the way through to the early days of spring. You an ensure that everyone on your gift list gets the most out of the season by purchasing a lift ticket that provides unlimited access to the slopes each and every day the resort is open. A number of ski slopes sell these kinds of all-access passes, so finding one should not be much of a problem. You might even find that a single season pass is good for several different resorts, so your gift can go even further.

A Voucher for Lessons

A season pass is a great gift for the accomplished skier, but what about the person who is just starting out. If someone on your gift list has always wanted to try their hand at skiing, you can give them a gentle push by buying a voucher good for lessons and equipment rental.

You can be sure that the recipient of your thoughtful gift will think of you when they are taking their first tenuous steps down the beginner slope. As they get better and better at their new sport, they will thank you all over again every time they strap on a pair of skis and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Jack Harding loves taking his family on skiing adventures. He is also an avid blogger and his articles mainly appear on parenting blogs. Visit this website for more fun activity day ideas the whole family can enjoy.

His Motor Riding Collection

My friend is so obsessed with motor riding that whatever he saves from his salary he gets himself collection of valuable motorcycle accessories and some other gadgets or apparel for riders. He’s not so much into buying things for himself except for his riding hobby and it seems worth it because when you look at his collection in his house you’ll be amazed at his patience in saving for his coveted items. He’s really deeply engrossed in his riding collection that sometimes he forgets about other things like his office clothes and other things that do not involve motor riding.

Now he’s into competition and fox racing so he’s looking for the best quality helmets, apparels, jackets, boots and other accessories. He didn’t want to use his collection so he’s buying another set for the competition. I’ve suggested some online sites for him for easy shopping and hope he’ll be patient enough to search and choose what he needs for the competition.

Sports Option

We’ll be going again to our hometown province first week of next month and we’re all looking forward to that day. We will attend the wedding of my cousin’s son and have swimming afterwards. We’re planning to make the most of our travel there and to bond with our cousins there also. We love to be with them again since we’re always there only on few occasions now due to busy schedule. Mom is getting old and she’s missing her hometown, her nieces and nephews, grandchildren, relatives and lots of friends. Some of her friends passed away already and she wants to visit those who were still alive. I guess it’s really hard for someone to leave the town you’ve grown up and that’s what happened to my Mom. We relocated to our present residence now since I was 7 years old because my father lives and works at the same town.

Now that she’s at her prime years she loves reminiscing the past and loves to reunite with old colleagues and friends. Anyway I’m thinking what other sports we can play at the province aside from the usual games we played there. Upon looking at some pictures of my friends who loves shooting sports I learned that they’re playing Airsoft guns and they’re enjoying it. In fact many of the big boys are having fun with this sport they’ve discovered. Well I’m new with this one and learned through searching that it’s a plastic gun with round pellets which is slower in speed compared to real guns but a bit painful when hit. It’s a safe game because it can’t kill or cause bleeding injuries.
Well one can wear protective gears when playing airsoft guns like Airsoft AEG which is the most popular airsoft rifle to avoid being hit and to prevent painful feeling. Stores selling safety gears recommend full face shield like a mask, airsoft safety glasses for target shooting and thick outfits to reduce the pain when shot by the opponent. All in all this is a good and enjoyable sport especially for the big boys who want the fun of shooting without hurting anyone. Anyway this one need rechargeable batteries and charger so be sure to bring extra batteries so you will be able to enjoy a full day play with your friends. This is a sport that can be played indoors and outdoors so I guess this can be a good option to play in the province also.

Durable Shoes for Sports

Ruth will have her first foundation day in TUMCS next week and she joined her class’ volleyball team just like me when I was in high school. She recently ordered her jersey and I realized that it’s so expensive these days to have sports’ uniform. Her teacher will arrange for the name printing so parents will not think about it anymore and anyway it should be done by one sign shop only. I’m glad that she’s not asking for a new rubber shoes because her shoes is still in good condition. It’s a gift from her Auntie who lives abroad and because it’s a branded one it never wear out easily. I love searching for nice and durable rubber shoes like Nike SB or other type of shoes from them because I’m also athletic.

When it comes to sports the shoes play a vital role in keeping up with the movements and paces you need to do in playing games. This is the reason why sportsmen use quality shoes when they play because it will either be an advantage or disadvantage on their game depending upon what brand of shoes they use.

Collecting Sports Memorabilia

Many people especially those that are sports fanatics have a habit of collecting sports memorabilia because it serves as a beautiful remembrance of days gone by. I guess when they grow old they would just look at them and probably smile at remembering how they were able to have their things autographed. Well it’s nice to know from your review that a site like Hollywood Collectibles Inc. will make it easier for avid collectors.

Morning Exercises and Biking

I’ve done enrolling my little boy in his new school for primary education last Thursday. We also fitted his uniforms and he’s excited to show my Mom that he has new set of uniforms very different from his preparatory school uniforms. I was very tired when we reached home as I’ve done some errands too. With the kind of activities I’ve done for the day I think I’ll have no problem with losing some excess pounds now and if I do this everyday I think I will not be having Lipofuze as exercise and walking really makes some wonders with me.

I’m planning to join DH and kids in their daily morning biking in our municipality town hall compound. DH told me that I will enjoy it. Actually I’m planning to play badminton too! Well this will keep the whole family fit and healthy!

:PH# 182: Sports (Race Driving)

Click the images for large viewing

This is the Junior Kart-Trak sports located in Enchanted Kingdom. I had the chance to take a shot while there's a couple who was currently taking the drive. The girl was screaming at the spped they're having. Now we didn't ride as Josh is still very young for that. We just watched as teenagers enjoyed the ride in race driving. It looked fun and thrilling to me. I would have loved riding it if hubby is with me. But for sure I'll scream lol!

Learning Golf

Golf as they say is the sports of the rich and famous. I can say it’s true as I’ve seen the status of living of most golf players are really in the above average level. Anyway that’s most of them as you can’t say all of them. Like for instance my colleagues in the telecoms industry learned to play golf because one of our big clients used to invite him to play golf whenever he ask for a meeting.

As its part of the sales and marketing job he succumbed and started learning the sports. After almost a year of casually playing golf he was given by our client an X series Callaway irons as an appreciation of his willingness to join their sports even if he has difficulty in doing so. He was so touched by the gesture and he really liked the gift as this will provide him a good performance and confidence in playing golf.

Tennis Plaza

My sister and me both love sports and whenever there’s a chance or extra time we fit in our schedule. I play volleyball, softball, tennis, badminton and bowling. I even joined marathon and walkathon in my younger days. On the other hand Sis plays basketball, badminton and tennis. Redge had her training on tennis during her college days when she enrolled tennis as her physical education and from then on she continued playing it to further enhance her skills. I remember her asking me to help her nice tennis apparel for her especially the white tennis skirt and polo shirt. We’re only students then and we found out that all things used in tennis sports were all expensive.

Looking for tennis apparel and gears took us a lot of time as way back then there’s no online shopping and canvassing were done by foot. Unlike these days, you can canvass, compare prices and shop online in the comfort of your home, it takes only one click and you’re on your way to finding out the best site that will give you the best products at the most competitive prices. I came upon tennizplaza.com which offers complete range of selection for tennis racquets, tennis shoes for men and women, tennis bags and accessories. They also offer tennis apparel which includes dresses, tennis shirts, hats, visors, pants, socks, skirts, jackets, and wristbands. I had a nice time viewing their products and I found out that you have many options in buying their products; in fact you can shop by brand and type. They have a complete lineup of well-known quality brands. The tennis strings by the way can be shopped by brand, by type or machines. I particularly liked the Wilson Natural Gut because of its power, soothing comfort, defined control and incredible feel. This string is very elastic and designed to endure the stretching movements of the users.

This site is really for tennis lovers as it’s a one-stop shop of tennis things from head to toe. Beside all these convenience in shopping and variety of choices they refund 115% of the difference between the lower price and their price if you find a lower prize for your purchased products. Not only that they offer a 30-day unconditional money back guarantee which entitles the buyer to exchange or return the goods for a refund. What more can you ask for? So for all your tennis shopping needs get online now and visit their site.
