Early Preparations

We've started packing up clothes and things for our fellowship vacation in Baguio. I've arranged the little boy's things in his own traveling bag and he excitedly watched me while I choose which clothes he will bring. For my big girls I told them how many they should bring including extras should we decide to stay longer then they showed me and told me that they will arrange it themselves.

When they grew older I began to feel lighter whenever when we're expecting long journey because they can fix their own things. They just need me to approve what they want to bring and assure them that they've packed enough clothes and they're fine already. I even had an easy time with DH as he has packed earlier than us. He's a light traveler and I always envy how he manage to pack just the necessary things and he did it very fast this time.  Well we're 5 days ahead of our travel day and it feels good that I'll not be rushing next week. Really excited!

Sleep in Comfort

I had a full sound sleep last night and it made my day light and nice. I just realized how important a good sleep is. I was always sleeping late the past few weeks and when I was stricken by colds and cough it didn’t helped me that I abused my body with few sleeping hours. Mall Displays and Decors

I’ve passed by the nearest mall near my office and amazed at the decors and displays they have in the whole place. You can really feel that the holiday is coming with lots of booths with pop up displays, stores on discounted sales, plenty of deals and those sales staff in holiday costumes.

It’s actually a common site to me now as every day I get to see those but it still amaze me how they can put thousand of lights on the entrance. I’m thinking how much would they be paying for their electric bills after the holiday is over. Anyway they’re on sales business and it’s just one way of attracting the consumers to enter the mall and shop. It seems that the more displays and decors they have the more chances that people would shop in their stores.

Sports Option

We’ll be going again to our hometown province first week of next month and we’re all looking forward to that day. We will attend the wedding of my cousin’s son and have swimming afterwards. We’re planning to make the most of our travel there and to bond with our cousins there also. We love to be with them again since we’re always there only on few occasions now due to busy schedule. Mom is getting old and she’s missing her hometown, her nieces and nephews, grandchildren, relatives and lots of friends. Some of her friends passed away already and she wants to visit those who were still alive. I guess it’s really hard for someone to leave the town you’ve grown up and that’s what happened to my Mom. We relocated to our present residence now since I was 7 years old because my father lives and works at the same town.

Now that she’s at her prime years she loves reminiscing the past and loves to reunite with old colleagues and friends. Anyway I’m thinking what other sports we can play at the province aside from the usual games we played there. Replacement Plans on our House

As we’re having renovations plans in the house we’re taking notes of every detail that should be prioritized. We listed down the second floor walls and flooring as the main area to rebuild plus the roof that has served us for three decades now. Updates with Friends

When I met some of my college friends few months ago we were so excited about learning the updates of our lives that the food we ordered were only half-finished when we parted ways. It’s more important to chat, laugh and talk about current happenings than eat our favorite foods. We were inseparable that night and that’s not a surprise as we haven’t seen each other for years considering that we’re together for 5 years in college. As expected most of us are into System Support & Documentation Jobs but some have been employed on totally different field like brokerage, administration, finance and other jobs that do not match with our college degree. Well life is like that we really don’t know what’s going to be our real course in life. As for me I’m happy enough with my administration and logistics job in office and my online writing job.

Getting Healthier as You Grow Older

I feel great about my health now that it’s almost a month since I started taking care of my diet again. Last few weeks there’s a call from our community workers to help them clean the span of our barangay to prevent common diseases from occurring in our places. We’re located in the national road thus the workers always maintain the clean environment in our place because as they say we’re at the road leading to our municipality. Sturdy Gears for Little Ones

My niece’ daughter Iya celebrated her 2nd birthday in Jollibee and it was a very happy celebration for all of us. It’s a stormy day she had on her first birthday leading us to miss coming to their house. They’re living in another town and we only get to see her on weekends or if they’re busy we’ll be able to see her every other weekend. We’re very fond of Iya that when was just a half-year old baby I used to take care of her when her Mom would have to arrange for her teaching job application. 

Now she’s growing up fast that she’s free from her stroller. Her baby stroller is not as sturdy as Bob stroller but it’s also of high quality made that protected and kept Iya safe from all harm when she’s using it last year. Anyway even though your baby gears are good enough you still have to check from time to time how much it can hold or protect your child from meeting accidents.

DIY Repair

DH worked on our car this morning and since he’s not familiar with repairing car horns he sought the help of DIY tutorial online. After some moments in learning how to do it he followed instructions and successfully revived the sounds of the horn. We always check whatever needs to be done on car because we use it every Sunday when we go to church and we don’t want to be late when something goes wrong.

Missing the Old Furniture in Our Province

With the rush of high technology gadgets and ultra modern furniture I have a sudden longing for our rural home in the province. It’s nice to see the wide variety of elegant and stylish furniture all over the mall on my way home because it encourages me to redecorate our house. It also inspires me to think of unique interior decor for the house but sometimes they all seem the same. When I go home to take some rest I just want to rest my back and sit on my Mom’s wooden rocking chair which has the magic of relaxing my senses.

The rocking chair reminds me of our log furniture in my Mom’s hometown province and somehow I missed our home back there. With the modern office furniture I see everyday it’s a respite to see some furniture that would remind me of the nature’s beauty and rural’s charming appeal. Maybe I should plan to visit our relatives there some other free weekends. The kids would surely enjoy seeing and using some natural log furniture.

Learning and Gaining Skills in Electronics

After more than a year in Electronics course DH can now troubleshoot, repair and maintain computers and other electronic appliances and next semester he’ll be in his on the job training. Time flies so fast I still remember when I tried so hard to quit his job and return to schooling so he can have a much better job in the years to come. It took him months to decide and I was so happy when he asked me to accompany him when he takes his entrance examination in the university of his choice. He was offered by his sister a scholarship so he would not work while studying. She wanted him to concentrate on his studies and to regain his healthy physical condition. He has developed fatigue and difficulty in breathing in his last months of work and we all wanted him to rest to recover fast.

Now he’s enjoying his studies and he has enough time for me and our kids. He has shown dedication in all his subjects and receiving exemplary remarks and grades from his professors. He was able to apply also what he learned from school to our home appliances and computers in the house. Be it gaming desktop computers, business or school computers, television, mobile phones and other electronic gadgets he can now assess the trouble and repair. New Found Love for Yoga

I heard that one of my former office friends is into yoga and she’s slimming down nicely. I don’t think I can handle that kind of thing for now as I’m into some kind of active workout. Well I’m happy for her as she seems very satisfied with what she’s doing unlike the past years that she’s undecided about the things that she wants to do with her house, work and about herself. With the recent development in her physical activities I’m thinking of giving her nice quality yoga mats for her yoga session activities. Hope I will be able to understand the basic of yoga exercise, in the future I suppose.

Party Invitations

It’s the start of the longest holiday but before that season there are occasions in between. In school there are plenty of activities on occasions such as United Nations’ Day and Halloween. Well now that Josh is in grade school already they don’t have Halloween party in their school so I’m not expecting an invitationbox.com halloween party invitations these days.

I still remember two or three years ago when I was so busy preparing for his costumes which is usually the Robin costume his cousin gave him and Spiderman costume which was offered by a Mommy friend in other school. It’s a big event in his preparatory school where they play, compete for the best costume and enjoy having various candies around.
