:WW - Relaxing Water Falls

Just seeing this picture somehow relaxes me quite differently. As always moving water affects my mood, makes me pensive sometimes and peacefully happy most of the times. The effect is greater when I'm on a beach seeing the ocean and its waves. But then this pool can relax me also with its man-made falls which makes it nicer. This is the pool of Marabella Resort in Antipolo where my niece celebrated her wedding reception.

Having Some Discipline

I feel great having disciplined myself not to eat too much on dinner time, it was hard because I’m the one who cooks dinner and the temptation is very high. I really must start on my diet plan or my clothes wouldn’t fit me in two months time. Just today I had to change my clothes because my size got bigger. I heard about acai berry and I still have to decide if the story about losing 14 pounds in 25 days is really true and can happen also to me. I think for now I’ll stick to my ‘after-six no meal’ plan. By the way I eat at 5:30pm.

Road Improvement Headache

I had only an hour or two sleep last night because Meralco has started changing our street’s electric post for the new widened roads. The widening and drainage improvement of A Bonifacio Avenue is nearing to an end, hopefully with all prayers! This project has caused too much disturbance in our place and the sad thing about it is it took them more than 2 months to do widening of a street which is less than 1 kilometer in length. I’ve been in a consulting company for construction of bridges and roads and I have a basic knowledge of at least knowing how long it will take to do the job.

The progress was so slow it will give you headache if you’re living in our place. Not to mention that we were only given a meager amount for the affected properties that was demolished. The amount was not enough to construct a new wall fence, gate and the private concrete post we have in our house. Though we have accepted all of this because we have no choice I think it’s the government’s duty to at least finish the work as fast as they could because it’s giving us a headache. Really road improvements are most of the times a pain!

We Can Never Really Tell!

Accidents happen at unexpected times and we should be always ready with car insurance just in case we encountered these things. I remember a friend of mine forgot to update their car insurance and lately had some major accidents on the road. It’s good that there are no casualties because the car hits 3 cars parked near the streets with no passenger inside. It was nerve-shattering news but when we learned that there’s no passenger inside the wrecked vehicles we got our breath again.

We know that insurance will not prevent accidents but it can help us recover from financial burden after the accident. There are many car insurance coverage recommendations online which will help us get the best quotes ever. Just always remember to update your insurance on time to prevent financial loss, after all we can never really tell what would happen tomorrow.

:Today's Flowers #28

My entry for this week is again our church' flowers yesterday, it’s a Malaysian mumps (or so I think?) I like color of this flower but my Mom doesn't want this color in our house because for her violet is a sad color for flower. But for me it's still flowers and I really love flowers; I love their different species, color, scent and form. Here we combined it with baby's breath and white chrysanthemums.

Auto Parts’ eStore

Having a car requires maintenance and careful updating of its parts and accessories. You always have to check the lifespan of each part so you’ll be able to save for its replacement and that’s if you want your car to last and give you its best performance ever. One thing is for sure you’ll have to do a lot of searching, canvassing and comparing of each part prices. I’m so happy that you can search through cars and trucks’ auto performance parts online. It’s a better alternative for busy people like us and most of the times you’ll get the best prices online.

14th Hot Air Balloon Festival

I’ve watched ABS CBN News late this evening and was so amazed at the 14th Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival in Clark Field Pampanga. It was a four-day event from February 12-15 which was attended by thousands of expectators and joined by countries all around the globe. I just love seeing the inflated balloons full of colors and designs. I envy those who were able to watch this balloon festival and took plenty of fabulous photos of these beautiful balloons. Who would never love this spectacular balloon festival? I’ve grabbed a photo here from flickr.com

Go Around New York!

One of my bosses who are based in our New York business is currently on a month long vacation here which she always does once or twice a year to be with her family on holidays. She’s also very fond of visiting exotic beaches and beautiful places here in her homeland so it’s already on her schedule to go home every six months. Now that her vacation is coming to an end again she’s having some arrangements for her friend to go with her back to New York. Maybe they want to go around New York together.

And because she want her friend to be happy in their travel she wanted to make sure that they will book NYC Car service so they can have on time and safe ground transportation service from the airport to the place where she lives. It’s nice to travel when you have airport shuttles and car service that will bring you safe to your home and throughout the whole city. As early as now I’ve booked for them at Go Airlink Shuttle and I did it online. Glad they’re available on the net 24/7 and they offer modern vehicles at a very affordable price. That’s having convenience and economy mixed together. She love it!

:WW - Yummy Hands!

She must be enjoying the taste of her hands here, don't you think? Can't stop this baby from biting her hands according to her Dad! Actually she’s not the only baby who’s so fond of playing her hands; I’ve seen some of my friends’ children doing the same thing when they were infants.

By the way she's Kezia Ammiel, four-month old daughter of my friend Win, isn't she pretty and lovable?

Seeing Straight Without Breaking Bank

I’ve been browsing around some sites reading some guides on saving and managing money and I never thought I would find Zenni Optical in the New York Times?! Yes it’s there included in Patient Money’s vision care suggesting that it’s good to have eyeglasses at Zenni Optical where you can have quality and stylish Prescription eyeglasses for only $8! Many of us are aware that sometimes having beautiful eyeglasses that lasts means you have to spend a lot of money. With Zenni’s eyeglasses Seeing Straight Without Breaking Bank is very possible with their affordable prescription eyeglasses like this one that I’ve chosen from their various assortment of eyeglasses.

:Today's Flowers #27

This is our church' flowers last Sunday, just thought of posting this ANTORIUM flower because I like the vivid color of this specie. It's nice to combine with baby's breath and white chrysanthemums. This flower seems to be plastic but it's actually real and it lasts longer than any flower.

Busy Me!

Been busy lately with so many things about my employment and family activities that I wasn’t able to do the tags for Valentine’s day like the one tagged by my friend Liza, hope she’ll tag me again next time ‘coz I really can’t squeeze my blogging for the past four days. Now I have to catch up with my assignments and some meme. I’m also excited that my boss agreed to talk to me about my early retirement, I really must go because my family needs my full attention now.

Lately I noticed that I’m gaining pounds because this hectic schedule gave me no time to watch what I’m eating. You see I eat a lot if I have something that bothers me, it’s my stresstab! Now I must study some weight loss products that will help me lose unwanted pounds. Today I’ll begin some discipline on my meals and I’ll do this by eating minimal rice vegetables and fish. Hope it will help.

:WW - Old Piano

This is my father's piano since 1945 which was restored by my brother three years ago. The restoration costs him P25k but it's worth every penny because his children are now using it to practice what they've been learning from their piano lessons. We love this old piano of our father because it brings back sweet memories of him.

Mitch' Birthday

Went out of the office earlier than usual because it’s my niece birthday and we’re going to host tomorrow’s bible study so I need to go to supermarket for my chicken and sauces. When I called Josh he told me that he’s ready and he’ll just wait for me. My other kids Ruth & Gen were already there in my brother’s house as early as 4pm.

I did all fast and quick and arrived home before 7pm just in time for Josh inquiry to my Mom if I’ll be arriving soon. When we reached Kuya’s house Mitch was so busy entertaining and playing with some schoolmates so we just waited for her inside and had some chikka with my sister-in-law. She and her mom were so happy to see that Josh was so behaved in eating his meal consisting of pasta, chicken and cake.

It’s really tiring to invite guests especially children on birthdays and Ate told me it’s the last because she’s really exhausted from having guests in the house. They had two celebrations in less than a month the first was Mae’s birthday. She just can’t say no to Mitch inviting her schoolmates when she agreed to Mae two weeks ago, it wouldn’t be fair for them – talk about being fair! It’s also my predicament on many occasions because I have two girls so I always buy things in two’s and sometimes in 3’s to include my youngest boy.

I promised myself not to stay long because I’ve so many things to do in the house so when the clock strikes 8 we went home though the kids asked for some more minutes to finish their basketball game.

Here's some pics:

Debate With Myself

I’m still debating with myself when I will start my diet because I do have busy schedule. You see if I start with my diet plan I will cook different meals for me or buy different food to bring to my work it’s as if I will be exerting extra effort but extra time and money as well. I’m trying so hard to get back to my after six schedule but tiredness from work don’t leave me much choice but to eat dinner. I’m still contemplating If I should try those weight loss pills I’ve seen on the net because I’m more comfortable with food diet plan. I’ll just consult my doctor to see if it’s safe or me.

:Today's Flowers #26

These are flowers yesterday in our church, it's actually a combination of flowers but I took the white mums off the vase and took a shot at these Malaysian mumps. I just had a fancy on the small blooms with white and lavender combination. This is a refreshing site at the front of the aisle while we were having sunday service. We always have fresh flowers every Sunday brought by some sisters in the church including me.

Fence Installation

Widening of our road now is showing signs that it can be finished in a month after a very long period of constructing sidewalk, drainage and road. I talked to my brother and discussed the fence installation in our house because it seems like the road is very near now to our house. Because of the area that was cut from the widening our garden was cut into half making our house nearer to road now. We’re still not so keen on the new limited garden space but I know we’re going to get used to it.

Picture Meme

This is an interesting meme that I received from Mira of Random Thoughts.

Here are the rules:

1. Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures.
2. Go to the 6th Folder and then pick the 6th Picture.
3. Post it on your blog and tell the story that goes with the picture.
4. Tag 5 other glorious people to do the same thing and leave a comment on their blog telling them about it.

This is my picture with my 3 kids taken at our recent camp fellowship meeting. Just chanced upon this 6th picture in my 6th folder, it reminds me of our super bonding vacation in Indang Cavite not only with our families but with our brethren as well. It was a very enjoyable three-day stay in Villa Dominga and would like to repeat it. We're going to return there on April 9 and 10.

Seeing this picture also
brings a smile on my face seeing my kids growing up fast and happy too! Look at their smiles!

I’m passing this picture meme to all my friends who want to share some of their picture and stories, grab it friends!

Bathroom Renovation

I’m having some renovations on our bathroom, we have separate toilet and bathroom unlike those houses that combine both. My father designed our house for a large family which is why he created the first floor of our house with separate room for toilet and bathroom. He didn’t know then that they will have three kids only.

Now I’m having these two rooms renovated to have dual function. Of course I want to spend less because money is hard these times so I’m looking for discount bath fixtures that will make my bathroom beautiful and comfortable as well. You know it’s very important to have nice bathrooms because we spend lots of time in this room and if we have guests we’ll be assured that they will feel at ease and relaxed in using it.

Industrial Knobs

Big bro dropped by the house to get some letters from PLDT bearing some dividend checks, just small amount I think. He has resigned from his government office post as Appraiser and enjoying not having to report for work on office hours.

Well actually he’s just as busy as ever with his Construction Company and apartments that he even told me he’s busier now. He asked me to help him find industrial knobs online because he needs quite a great amount and he need to canvass on many suppliers. He knows that I’m always surfing and searching for various items and since he has no time to do such thing he wants me to help him. Who can say no to a nice big brother? Not me of course!

Graduation Meeting

I’ve attended St. Audry’s PTA meeting last Saturday, agenda was about the coming graduation for this school year. On my way there I happened to ride with the granny of Bea, Josh classmate and she greeted me right away making me realized that she really knows me. I’m amazed at the guardians of Josh classmate who frequent the school almost everyday, they seem to know each parent of their kid’s classmate.

We arrived at the school early and spent waiting hours talking about the kids and learned that Bea and Josh are almost the same in their antics and attitude, both are also fun to talk to. The school directress discussed about the value of giving time and attention to our kids. Parents should devote quality hours with the kids no matter how busy they are because they need assistance on their everyday activities. She talked to the parents of the few students who are until this time are having a hard time in reading, they can’t allow Prep students to graduate without the ability of reading.

Anyway about our agenda of discussing matters concerning graduation, the fees and attire are the same as last year. They must wear Sunday attire, not so formal and not so casual. This year they will have a 2-day graduation schedule on March 19 & 20 to have orderly graduation rites. They also informed us that there will be a slight increase in tuition fees but it’s very minimal so there should be no problem. It’s Josh’ second graduation, the first was when he was in nursery. He’s a second honor then and delivered a speech. I was the one who was more nervous lol! Here's a recap:
