Favorable Qualities in a Church Pastor

Most people who are searching for a new church want to make sure that the pastor of the church is someone they will want to get to know. Consequently, there are many favorable qualities that people look for in a church's pastor. For instance, many people want a pastor with a great amount of faith. They want to learn from someone who is fully dedicated to his or her faith. In fact, there are people who become members of a church because the pastor is clearly someone who wants to share his or her faith journey. Here are some other personal qualities that many people look for in a church pastor.

The quality of being plain-spoken is something that many people look for in a new pastor. They want to be able to easily understand what the pastor is trying to convey during sermons. They want a simple interpretation of the books of the Bible. After all, if they find something difficult to comprehend, they are less likely to remember the point that the pastor was trying to make. Ideally, a pastor will try to make his or her message accessible to everyone.

There are lots of people who search for a church with a pastor who is caring. He or she takes the time to talk with everyone who attends the church, even if they are not members. This goes for both the adult members of the congregation as well as the children. If a person wants to meet with the pastor, he or she makes time to talk with the person. A caring pastor is not in it for the status of being the head of a church. He or she genuinely wants to help as many people in need as possible.

A pastor who is enthusiastic about the Bible and faith is also a very desirable thing to many people who are searching for a new church. If a pastor is enthusiastic, he or she truly believes in the work of helping people strengthen or develop their faith. A pastor's enthusiasm can be contagious to people in the congregation who are searching for answers to their basic questions about life. Ed Young Jr is an example of a pastor who preaches in a well-known church.

People want an honest pastor. The person is honest in all of his or her dealings inside and outside of the church. This quality prompts people visiting the church as well as its members to trust the pastor. This is very important especially when a pastor is asked to help an individual or a couple through a very delicate problem. An honest pastor serves as a wonderful role model to everyone in the congregation.

Finally, lots of people look for a warm, friendly pastor. A person visiting a church may not come back if he or she doesn't get a personal welcome from the pastor along with an invitation to come back. Everyone wants to feel welcome in a place they are unfamiliar with. A warm welcome and an invitation to return goes a long way with a person who is looking for a new church to attend. In addition, the visitor is likely to recommend the church to a friend or family member as a result of the kindliness of its pastor.

New Drumkit for the Church

The ministers and the instruments group had a meeting about the update of the new drum set project. Our current drum set is several years old and some of the accessories are already reached old age that they deemed it’s time to have a new drum set for the church. The current is actually a gift of my brother to our church and if ever they would sell it I will get it for sentimental sake. Josh love to have a real drum set so it will be a valuable reason to buy the drums.

DH presided the meeting and he has the canvassed price of desired and needed full drumkit for the church. It’s really a good buy for a quality drumkit and is sure to last a long period of usage. The only thing that delays the plan is the budgetary allocation for the new instrument so when they’re finished with finance planning I’m sure they will decide when they will buy it.

Nice Place for Worship

With our new area for fellowship for more than a month now we feel so blessed that we were given a privilege to use the whole of the wide 5th floor area for our church service. We’re still renting one of the adjacent rooms in the lower floor but the management allowed us to use the spacious area in the upper most floors while it’s vacant. After we’ve finally set up the place we feel like it’s really for us. Now there are plenty of rooms where we can neatly arrange our activities.

We can also cook if we want because the area gave us a spacious pantry, 2 extra rooms for functional use such as Sunday school, Pastor’s prayer room, youth corner and a lot more. Of course if our fellowship’s place is to be considered we should be replenishing our things to match the place. We were thinking of buying new musical instruments, new stacking church chairs and everything that will help in enhancing our new place. As the place is so convenient and just right for us we’re wishing that we’ll stay there for long period of time

Fulfilling Sunday

My hands still feels slightly numb since Saturday night and I find it a little hard typing on my PC so I just finished what’s due and did some blog hopping before I rest. I had a nice and fulfilling day at the church with my church mates and every Sunday is a bonding time for my family as it’s the day that we’re all together going to church, having our lunch in our favorite fast food and just letting the day pass with no worries at all. We spend our Sundays in the church from morning up to evening with lunch breaks in between and we’re happy with the setup devoting the whole Sunday in fellowship service. We still have no car so we just hire cabs in going to church.

Come To Church For A Face-Lift

Are you wrinkled with burden? Come to the church for a face-lift. This may sound funny but it’s true. Our everyday life is full of burdens, anxieties and worries, if you’re not careful you’ll be wearing a face full of wrinkles. God will not give us problems that we will not be able to solve, He will not give us cross that we can never carry. Life is just like that – most of the times we tend to come across people who will like and love us but others won’t. Some will understand but others will despise us. Most of them will help but there’s still others who will make our life miserable. We shouldn’t be burdened with worries of this world, just accept the things that goes our way, try to be spiritual rather than religious. Don’t look at the bad things in life Just Look Unto Jesus. Come to the church and let your personal relationship with Him grow and flourish. It is then that you’ll have your face lifted up.

God's Loving Hands on Gen

It’s Genesis’ birthday today, my child to whom God showed His mighty love and healing power. It was indeed a miracle to us. We can never forget that last day of June 2000 when she was a year and a half. She slipped from the bed and dropped to the floor and her nanny hide the accident to us. After a day or two the left side of her head began to swell and became very soft that it pains me to even touch or look at her. I was in the office having some deadlines for bidding proposal and I got a call from my husband and cousin that they’re getting ready to go to hospital because she was suspected of having hydrocephalus. I was shocked, got cold feet and was very sad to hear that, I told them to wait for me and got out of the office in a trance. As I board the vehicle going home I talked to God to help us in that crisis and at that moment I felt God’s presence in my being reassuring me that He’s just there beside me. Our Pastor hurried from Cavite and together with Pastor and Ed we offered a request prayer to God for Gen’s healing and recovery. That prayer was a congregation’s prayer too as all of our brethren in the church whether they’re in work or houses joined our prayer at the same time.

We felt God's loving hands on us as Gen’s head stopped becoming bigger and slowly became harder. We let the Spirit of God take in-charge for this as we wouldn’t want her to be in the hospital because doctors might diagnose hydrocephalus and they will open her head. God saved us from suffering all those anxieties and burdens. The next day in our Sunday service we offered our thanksgiving to God for His miracle and the second life of our dear baby Gen.

After three days Gen returned to her normal healthy condition and appearance. You know when this accident happened to her she turned into a chinky-eyed girl with super big head but when she got healed she returned to a cute baby with big beautiful eyes, big cheeks and bedimpled face. When finally her pediatrician checked up Gen she was diagnosed as perfectly healthy.

Now she's 9 years old and I keep thanking and praising God for His wonderful blessing to us. She's turning into a big girl and growing up as a very nice and obedient kid, a super charmer to everyone in the family, in her school and in our church.
