How to Work from Home if You Have a Rambunctious Toddler

Working from home is a nice change of pace from the ins and outs of a noisy, stressful office. However, that all changes when you have kids—especially when those kids become rambunctious, into-everything toddlers. So, can you still work from home AND watch a wild-and-crazy kiddo at the same time? You bet—and here’s how.

Be Realistic in Your Schedules and Routines

Most moms and dads schedule their at-home jobs around their toddler’s sleep schedules. A few hours at night, an hour at naptime—you get the idea. However, be realistic in setting these routines. Some days, your toddler might not want a nap. Or, they might be sick and not go to sleep till well after 3am. And all of those unexpected things are okay, but prepare for them. Don’t push yourself too hard, because toddlers can derail your work ethic at moments when you least expect it. Be flexible to changes.

Designate a Kid-Free Office Area in Your Home

Ask your partner to watch your kiddos for an hour or two, then head to your office. Make this a kid-free zone—unless there’s an emergency. When mom or dad is in the office, they are working and shouldn’t be disturbed. If you instill this in your youngster from early on, they will comprehend and understand the rules of your at-home work later in their childhood.

Use Your Work Times Wisely

Instead of playing a game, checking your social media accounts, or mindlessly shopping for whatever strikes your fancy, use your work time to actually work. If your schedule or routine falls into place, you should take the opportunity. Use your work time wisely to get things done. And, if you have extra time, work ahead so there will be less to do next time. It’s a win-win. You could even opt for rollaway bed rentals for your office, where your kiddo can nap while you toil away at your desk.

Enlist the Help of Others

When you absolutely MUST work to pay bills and making a living from home, you might need to ask for help or hire a babysitter for an hour or two. Just retire to your office for a while, and leave the helper with your kiddo. You’ll still be home, still be available, but still be able to get your work done and turned in on time.

Working from home, especially when you have a family, is a daunting task—but it can be done. As long as you remember to be flexible, roll with the proverbial punches, and ask for help when you need it, you are golden as an awesome full-time parent that just happens to be a hardcore at-home worker too.

Solutions to Carpet Indentations

Indentation in the carpet is a common problem to us in our homes or in our office when we move furniture and equipment because those usually leave marks.  Well these marks are not pleasing to the eyes as the beauty of the carpet is affected.  I have observed this thing when we move our tables in the office to rearrange our areas.  As we go through our new arrangement we found indentations where the old location of the furniture and things were located.

To help erase the indentation marks left by furniture you can put some ice cubes on the indentations and after sometime it will return to its former shape.  With this new learned tips and techniques it's now easier to change and rearrange furniture not only in our house but in our offices as well.

Black Eames Style Lounge Chair

After a long day's work it would be so relaxing to sit in this black eames style lounge chair with ottoman as this one defines comfort.  Well the lounge chair can be used while working on your computer as it supports up to your shoulders and up to your head.  This is perfect for heavy user of PC like me who spends most of daytime and sometimes even at night working on writing tasks.  Well the ottoman is a bonus where you can put up and rest your feet.  It would be so lovely to do that when you're tired.  I may even sleep on it.

Saw this one at etsy.com at Chrissy Harris store.  She sells it at 8,658.01.

Perfect Buddy for Working

As a graduate of a computer degree course, my work always requires me to use a computer as a medium to do my work. In my work I need to be online all day to deal with suppliers and clients in which all agreements are made through online transactions. All things are done online including ordering, paying, shipping arrangements, training and offering products.

As such it requires me to work for long hours in front of the computer which makes me feel tired at the end of the day especially if I don’t stand once in a while to stretch my body for some a bit. Break time helps a lot as I can rest from too much sitting and working. Well I’m glad that I’m using comfortable office furniture chair which we purchased for the office two years ago.

My chair gives me enough comfort when I sit back and relax but it’s not high enough to cover my head. I would appreciate it more if was one of those chairs I’ve seen from Chair Hero because it’s definitely made for long working hours. They have a wide selection of top quality office, office desk chair, cheap and discount office chairs, ergonomic office chairs, swivel chairs and more.

Just looking at their products makes me want to replace our office chairs for more convenient working times and less back pain after a day’s work. I particularly like the ergonomic task office chairs like Office Star 43819 because it comes with multiple adjustments where you can control tilt, modify the angle of the back and forward tilt for keyboard intensive activities. It’s definitely a big help when you’re working.

It’s so good that I’m not shy to Tweet this product so my friends will know how they can get their own multi-function task chair for working on their computers. It’s perfect not just for offices but for home use also especially for people like me who also works online at home.
