Prevent Digestive Problems Associated With Menopause

Hair loss, weight gain, insomnia, fatigue, depression – all part of the natural time in a woman's life called menopause. Along with a variety of other issues, menopause can also pose numerous problems in regards to the digestive tract. In fact, digestive problems are common symptoms of menopause and perimenopause.

With a decrease in both estrogen and progesterone, many menopausal and post-menopausal women will experience troubles including gas, bloating, indigestion and problems with proper bowel functioning. The drop in hormones plays a big part in the blame game for for issues like these.

Not only does the significant decrease in hormones affect digestive health, but they can also lead to other problems, such as weight gain. Weight gain in turn, can also work against digestive health. In the end, these diminished levels of hormones make it hard for your body to adjust.

A variety of digestive problems can arise with menopause and even after. As your digestive tract begins to slow down, it may not be able to efficiently break down all the foods that it once did so quickly when you were younger. This then leads to gas, bloating, indigestion and so on. It's not uncommon for older women, who are menopausal and post-menopausal, to find themselves running off to the bathroom more often than they used to as well.

So what can you do to prevent and relieve these problems? One way is to make sure that menopause doesn't affect you in a way that will help to urge on digestive tract problems. Meaning, as hard as it may be, you will want to improve your health and try to lose that menopause weight. This in turn can help out with potential digestive tract problems. The two most effective ways of doing this is eating right, and exercising daily. Not only will these help with problems during digestion, but they are also the foundation to a healthier, happier you.

As digestion begins to slow during menopause, and weight begins to increase, you are definitely at a higher risk for health problems. This is why it's so important for you to take care of your body during these “golden years.” Even the chances of diabetes, heart disease, and osteoporosis are increased during menopause. Taking the proper actions and applying them to your everyday life is the key to getting fit, staying healthy, and preventing certain health issues, including digestive problems.

Diet: A diet doesn't necessarily mean one of those fad diets you see on so many commercials these days. Instead, a diet means sticking to a balanced and nutritious way of eating. Make sure that everyday you are getting all the foods groups and nutrition your body needs in order to stay healthy. This will not only help out with your digestive tract, but your overall health. Make sure you get plenty of lean protein, and try to limit your intake of unhealthy foods such as sugary snacks. This is a most effective way of maintaining digestive health.

Vitamins and Nutrients – Make sure you have the proper levels of essential vitamins and nutrients. The easiest way to do this is to take a supplement designed for menopause. I’d personally recommend Kuhl Care, which is available on their web site.

Workout: Exercising is the other key role in staying healthy and fit, thus maintaining a healthy and fit digestive system. Sticking to a daily workout routine will not only help to improve other parts of your body, such as strengthen your muscles and bones, but it will also help you to burn off any excess weight. By staying loyal to a workout routine, calories in the long run, will be more easily burned, and this in turn will help to stimulate a health metabolism. A healthy metabolism is a great way of properly digesting your food while receiving all the benefits of the nutrients your diet has to offer.

Menopause can be scary and frustrating at times, but it's just another stepping-stone in every woman's life. They best things you can do to prevent and help digestive problems, as well as any other issues menopause may throw at you, is to keep yourself healthy and strong.

Wishes for Baby Ruth

What can I wish for my first born daughter on her birthday? This sweet little kid is becoming a young lady and I have mixed emotions on her growing up. I still want her to be just like her young self while wishing that she’ll grow up nice and happy. It’s what you can call Mom’s apprehension and maybe Mom’s little selfishness on the side

"Hi baby Ruth time flies so fast and still can't believe you're growing up so sweet, thoughtful and pretty. You're 15 now and few years from now you're gonna be a real grown up but for us (dad and I) you'll always our baby princess, our first born who have given us immeasurable happiness when you came into our life. Always remember that we're always here for you. We always pray for God's guidance and protection on you. Love you bebe!"

And did you know that while I was writing these greetings in her FB wall  tears started on my eyes.  Guess the simple words got into my heart really deep that it brought me tears.  I know that Moms like me know this kind of feeling especially if your kids are starting to grow up right before your eyes.  Motherhood is like that, unexplainable but happiness to the max.
