Choosing the Best Webhost

When I first started having my online journal I just created mine on a free hosted site and enjoyed the first few months without bothering to get my own domain site. I learned and enjoyed blogging too much that when my friend suggested that I buy a domain name for my site I immediately checked my first name if it could be my first domain name. I was lucky that my name is not ordinary that I got my very first domain name. There are things that I considered before making that step as there are few important points that we need to think before we build our own website. We need to think of our blog title, layout, content, domain name and website hosting that will give us the necessary requirements for our blog.

Choosing the best website host for your blog is not that easy as you also have to learn the features and capabilities of the web host you’ve picked. Well for me I read reviews and look at the list of the top ten web hosts before picking the best host for me. When I read GoDaddy Review I was glad to find that they offer an affordable and high quality web hosting. Not only that they have user friendly tools to guide and help the users manage their sites but they also provide affordability, reliability, features, bandwidth, good technical support and customer service. Actually now I have two of my blogs hosted by GoDaddy and I never had a problem with them. Just browse through their site and see various plans and packages that will surely fit your requirements.

Heading Off to Our Summer Camp

As I'm writing this we're getting ready for our travel to Tagaytay City for our December camp meeting 4-day fellowship service. It's not actually in Tagaytay City but very near this town - in Indang, Cavite. We'll be staying in Villa Dominga Forest Resort and we'll be sleeping on tents. In an hour or so we'll finish packing up our bags to our car and start the long travel up South. To my ec friends I hope to drop by your sites on Monday when we come back here in Metro. I wish you all peace, love and happiness on the coming holidays.

My Birthday

It's my birthday today and I'm having this post so late in the night because I had a birthday leave off blogging the whole day! I just had a simple very early morning birthday with DH, my 3 kids and my family. My brother, his wife and his kids came around 10am and enjoyed the day eating and playing with their cousins. Josh and Mat were always like inseparable when they meet and play. They're so hyper also that they seem to dominate the whole house but they're cute just the same lol! My wish? DH and kids asked me when I blew my candle. I just thanked God for a good life and loving family and I asked for continuous love, happiness and good health for all of us.

Missing My Visits

Holiday season is greatly affecting my planned schedule and I can’t help it. I’ve been away from my work for three days now. I had a memorable grand alumni reunion last Saturday where I was assigned at reception and photo booth with 3 high school friends including JennyL. We were required to be early so I decided not to do any work but to check my emails for any emergencies or important letters. I missed my blog hopping and ec dropping and I hope my visitors won’t get mad at my non-responsive blog, I just can’t fit it in my schedule. Although this work-at-home job is really giving me good compensation I can never miss special occasions like that including my Sunday fellowship service.

Today is my birthday leave so I guess I’ll just make up for my absences tomorrow because few days from now we’ll be heading for the highlands of Tagaytay and Indang, Cavite for a four-day camp fellowship service and I’m sure I’ll be missing my visits again. Well it’s a holiday and we can’t have normal schedule and activities on seasons like these. Please bear with me guys! Call it birthday present :-)

Friday Fill-ins #155

1. No, we will NOT having grand Christmas vacation but instead we'll go to a villa forest resort for a four-day camp meeting fellowship for the holidays.
2. I love having coffee at the old kitchen table.
3. I watched the steam rising from the hot cup of coffee (or tea) and thought: This will gonna be a relaxing day for me free of stress and work deadlines
4. I know everything is going to be okay as long as we care for each other.
5. I'll take care of your remembrance gifts to me.
6. It's only fair to give them their dues at least from my point of view.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to finishing my house chores, tomorrow my plans include meeting up my high school friends at our Grand Alumni and Sunday, I want to check my brother's car for our travel next week!

Changes in Budgetary Expenses

Time flies so fast and another year will soon be on its way. Come next year we’re readying ourselves for our dear daughter’s primary graduation on March and her entry on a Christian high school that we’ve selected for her. There’s so much to prepare and save for especially that her school fees are a lot higher than now. Our youngest will also graduate from preparatory school and will enroll in another school for primary education but with just a little increase in tuition fee.

As early as now DH and I are planning our financial expenses to cover all major changes in our budgetary allocation. It’s better to plan ahead of time so we’ll not be caught unprepared. Just like preparing ourselves for a cheaper car insurance on March in time for our car’s registration too. I know we can handle our financial income properly if we will have our list of things that we should prioritize.

How Much Do You Love the Holidays?

You Like the Holidays

You definitely have a good time during the holidays, but you aren't obsessed with them or anything.
You shop for a few presents and participate in a few traditions... but that's it!

You may be accused of being a grinch, but you're simply not a fanatic about holiday traditions - especially commercial ones.
You get into the spirit of the season by being kind, compassionate, and not clogging up the stores!

Just had a test on this one if I make sense at all on holidays! I'm amused that it fits 98% to my real personality. If you want to join the fun try this one!

:Today's Flowers #70 - Zinnia

Click the image to enlarge

This beautiful vivid flower has caught my attention while joining the student's parade last July for a nutrition week awareness program. It's color is very inviting that I silently fall off the line, took out my camera and shot as fast as I could, no sweat! I'm lucky that I was able to get a decent shot or I can call a nice one since I also capture the shadows on the flowers. It was mid morning and the sun was not that prevalent, just the simple sun shine. The name of this one,hmm I think this is zinnia, am I right?

Happy Monday! Visit more beautiful flowers at Today's Flower => here.

Education By Home Schooling

I just watched documentary news about children living in the mountains and walking almost halfway just to attend classes in the lower lands. It’s their will to study that’s giving them energy to walk miles and miles of mountainous road. It’s a pity that some students who were given the chance to study in famous schools were sometimes lazy to study and repeat their grade year level because they can’t pass the standards of the curriculum. Sometimes poverty leads the way for poor children to strive harder for a good future. They know that education can change their lives for the better so they’re doing all things just to make learning and education not just a dream to them but a reality as well.

Giving importance to education is a good goal in life and even if circumstances make it impossible for us to study we must find some ways to reach our dream to graduate and be qualified to any job that we like to have. There are many things that hinder other people to study. The most common is financial capability to support education which can be solved by applying for scholarships or enrolling in government schools. Some have difficulty in their intellectual level but this can also be remedied by full attention and support by parents. There are other reasons which cause others to be under educated but if you strive hard to make these hindrances solved there are always solutions for them.

What about if you have financial capability and good intellectual level but can study only on homeschooling setup? Now it’s not a problem anymore as there are many ways you can study in the comfort and convenience of your home. It will not only save you time and effort on traveling to school but money as well as transportation expenses will be saved. With Global Student Network who offers an affordable curriculum online for Grades 2-12 education can be achieved even for those who can’t study on regular schools. Even if it offers studying through internet access it has the most cost effective and complete curriculum with wide variety of over 90 courses.

Students enrolling in these courses need not worry about accreditation as it conforms to national curriculum standards and updated currently. This homeschooling curriculum is also used presently in 250 school districts offering online education and has been proven to be easily adaptable and customized for homeschool students. Education has really gone so far as reaching the home based people who want to learn and study. With this kind of schooling your dream can never be too far from reality.

Healthy Diet

My Mom commented on me that she noticed my big tummy is decreasing slowly. I was happy that since I disciplined myself on eating plenty of fruits everyday I began to lose weight. Of course it’s not that rapid because if you‘re dieting the healthy way you’ll lose pounds slowly. For me it’s more acceptable as it’s safer that way and less expensive than taking slim pills. When I gained weight after resigning from office and started working at home I thought I’ll need those pills. I was just lucky that I discovered a healthier food plan that I was spared from taking them.

:Thursday Challenge - Writing

"WRITING"
(Pens, Paper, Words, Signs, Graffiti, Books, Magazines,...)

I've picked a mini library for this week's theme as it contains everything like words, signs, books, magazines, paper, etc. What I like best in this library are the murals at the top showing all subjects being studied in the school like English, Math, Science and more. Al subjects are there surrounding the room. I love also the drawing saying 'Reading is Fun' which encourages young students to make reading not only a must in studying but a hobby as well. At the side of it there's a painting of a man carrying heavy load of books. I just find this library an attractive one for the kids.

Securing Confidential Data

I’ve worked with telecommunications company for six years and we have confidential data and software that needs security. The company limited the passwords to managers and officers like me. I was very careful with my files and I always see to it that every confidential thing I handle was properly secured.

Our company deals with major files that can’t be lost on power outages, storm or network hackers. And since they can’t afford to lose important data that’s why they hired data center services like server collocation and system monitoring for safety and convenience. It’s better to be safe than sorry, don’t you think?

Girl Scouting at SM City

Ruth and Gen went to SM city in Marikina last Nov. 28 with their schoolmates and teachers alone without me (their stage Mom). It's the first time that they went to an outdoor activity without me. I planned to follow them but I can't leave Josh who has a slight fever then. Yes that's the reason they attended their GS activity outside school without me. I felt uncomfortable and slightly worried and it seems that it's me who only felt that way as my girls Ruth and Gen enjoyed their activity and strolled in the mall with their teachers behind.

We' re supposed to have lunch there but Josh can't make it so I just stayed with him. I'm relieved that they brought a mobile phone with them so I've monitored their whereabouts. I was glad to lend my mobile phone to Ruth as I had chances of calling them and instructing them what to do. I made sure that I know the teachers who were with them for safety purposes. They arrived home safely and I’m relieved!

Bring Back Romance on Your Vacation

Love begins intensely when you’re young and they say it will not stay that deep when you get old and married for several years. That’s not applicable to all as some retains the romance in their relationship. What’s the secret? It’s not magic but a lot of caring and understanding. It’s hard to understand everything but a little effort to do it counts a lot. You see when you understand the feelings of your loved ones you tend to accept the little imperfections of each other and always have room for forgiveness.

My former lady boss has an advice for me and my other co-employees who were also newly married then. She advised us that romance in a relationship stays when you think of each other as when you were just dating each other and that even couples were married for several years they should make an effort to let their partner know how much they love each other. They should do this by spending their time with each other once in a week or in a month having dinner or go somewhere where they can spend vacation just for the two of them.

Couples tend to spend all their time at work and with kids that they don’t have quality hours to talk, share ideas or just simply enjoy time with each other. Well if you really want to stay as long as your golden anniversary or even longer than that you should try to plan a yearly vacation for two in one of your favorite places or if you want a real good relaxing place you can go to a romantic vacation riviera maya where you can surely bring back romance in your relationship. Well why not if you’ll spend a week or two with each other on a lovely white-sand beach vacation house with luxurious accommodations, good entertainment, fine dining experience, spa treatments and more. That’s definitely a romantic vacation!

Wonders of Lasik Surgery

My sis and I are both wearing eyeglasses but it’s me who wears them since college. She’s luckier as she only has astigmatism and now she finds it comfortable to wear contact lens rather than eyeglasses. We’re completely different as I find it hard wearing them and removing them when you fall asleep when you’re in travel and cleaning them at night. Oh well maybe there’s a kind that’s very easy to use but now I prefer to wear eyeglasses as I don’t feel uncomfortable with it. I think wearing them for several years now makes me get accustomed to it. Lucky for me as other people really has a hard time with wearing eyeglasses, some even said that it would make you look older. Just don’t care about it as being young for me is within your heart.

Anyway even if I’m accustomed to my nearsightedness problem I sometimes find it hard dealing with some of its disadvantages like wearing eyeglasses when I’m playing some of my favorite sports or you always need to wear them when you’re looking from afar. I envy those people who have a 20/20 vision as they can do everything they want without fear of getting blurred vision. When I accompanied Mom to her eye specialist for her cataract operation I learned about the latest innovation in eye problem and that’s the treatment of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism through lasik eye surgery which is being used nowadays.

There are clinics who do this kind of procedure like Lasik Surgery Boston which provides services for an all-laser lasik procedure to correct the exact vision needs of your eyes. This is where modern technology and science helps human as the results are just amazing. I couldn’t find a much better word than that because it’s really amazing. Imagine getting the chance to having a 20/20 or better eye vision again! I would certainly love that! That’s the perfect solution for those people with eye problems on blurred vision. Need not worry about the procedure as its safe, painless and quick.

Perfect Gift for Sporty Kids

As the most celebrated holiday season of the year is just a few weeks left I’m sure many of us have completed their list of gifts for their family and friends. Most of the shoppers are doing some canvassing and searching for the best gift ideas before they venture on a shopping spree because it’s easier to buy things which you know the price instead of just picking up the gifts without knowing how much it will cost.

For smart shoppers it’s always fun to have discounts and bargains. Anyway if you’re thinking of nice gifts for the kids especially if he’s a sporty one you can give NFL Jerseys to make them really excited over your gifts. Just make sure you know his favorite team so he can really appreciate the thought. And if you want them to enjoy the jerseys like his favorite players you might as well complete the set.

Btw each set of Franklin Sports’ NFL uniform includes 100% double knit polyester team jersey, 100% double knit polyester pants, NFL helmet with logo, foam padding, adjustable chin traps and face mask. He can choose the number that he wants to iron on his shirt, isn’t it great? This is good for kids 4-7 for small size and 7-10 for medium size. Order them now at www.nfluniformset.com for only $39.99.
