Some things are not forever and so is my vacation which lasted for about two months. I still can’t get the hang of getting back to corporate work and find it hard to wake up so early in the morning. Family Bonding on Holidays

We had some family bonding last week when I was free to go with my kids because it’s a holiday.  We decided to go to nearby resorts in our place so we can really rest and not spend several hours for our travel.  Due to several work demands I got so busy that I didn’t have time to shop for my kids’ clothes needed for swimming and we just have to do with the old ones though it’s not that important as it was just a simple bonding and family outing.

I just reminded myself that next time I can do my shopping online to distress myself from finding extra time to shop in the malls.  Anyway there are plenty of summer clothes and swimwear in Zalora and some nice slippers too if there’s an urgent plan for family and friends’ outing. My Advice and Approval

When my daughters were still kids they would run to me and ask me what they would wear on this and that occasion. Whatever I choose they would wear because they know that I know what looks best on them although early in her childhood my younger daughter have preferences already. Now that they’ve entered high school they know what they want and just asked me for advice and comments if their likes are also nice for me. Some of their classmates don’t ask for their parent’s approval when they buy their things like shirts, skirts, jeans, hip hop clothes and others because they don’t want to be disapproved.

When I want to shop for their clothes I see to it that they’re with me so they can choose for their own and I can just approve it. They still want me to approve their choices because they know that they could also be wrong sometimes. Still I respect their decision if they will still want to buy even if I don’t approve. Age differences sometimes made my decision different from their point of view so I also try to balance things. I want to understand them better and be a good adviser when they want someone to ask for things that they’re not sure about. I wouldn’t want them to look for other advice because I wasn’t able to give it. I hope that through the coming years they will continue asking my opinion on the things they want to buy, on matters they need to decide and on all other things that they need assurance and approval.

Found a New Shop

We dropped by Novo for DD Ruth’s black shirt. She needed the shirt last week for her Integration 2010 school activities. I decided to go there because I heard that their price is good much like wholesale distributors. Well I’m not disappointed because I found that they have big volume of stocks of different sizes, styles and brands of shirt plain and printed. Of course the price is good and I’m glad I followed my friend’s advice to visit the store.

In the past being hooked to my former office from morning up to early evening I would just go to mall for my kids’ school things in the past.Now I have the time to search for discount shops and avail of good buys. Well the shops offers everything from houseware, furniture, electronics, decors and school supplies. We’ll go back there to shop for more.

Corsets

I’ve seen some old movies in the 50’s I think which my father used to watch when he’s still alive. I noticed that actresses seem to have trim figures but they also look similar with their figures because they’re all wearing corsets to trim their waistline and to look more beautiful. I’ve also seen those beautiful gowns with corsets inside and I keep thinking that it must be so fit that they look like they have waist like that of a child. Well now there are women still using it for some purposes but for me it looks a bit uncomfortable.
