An Award For You

This award came Nanay Belen, a new blogger friend. Thanks Belen for this nice and warm award! Truly appreciate this!

Belen's post about his son Joshua who is a singer in his church caught my attention. I think they're so close and sweet and I remember my own son who happens to have the same name as his son. My 4-year old son Josh as we fondly call him loves to sing also and I have this advance thinking that Josh will also be a musician and song leader someday in our fellowship. That's a very nice thought and I know God knows it.

Anyway about this I Love You This Much Award I'll be passing it of course to my bes JennyL, to my real life sister Rhedge, and my blogger sisters Emzkie, JennyR, Leonore, Lutchi and Tere.

Need Extra Seats For Your Guests?

We’re a family that loves entertaining people; we always invite people to join us on birthdays, anniversaries and some special occasions. But entertaining people should be given enough preparation so your guests will be fully satisfied. You should provide extra seating because you’ll never really know the numbers of your guests so it’s good to have some counter stools on your house for this. It will definitely take up lesser space than the usual extra sofas or other big chairs. With these counter stools entertaining people can be more fun and hassle-free.

When it comes to choosing barstools I always search for Premiere Barstools as they cater to average and upper class customers. They are the leading source of online shopping for various barstools you’ll need for your house. After all it’s always convenient to upgrade your house with counter stools, extra tall stools and kitchen stools as it will not consume large space. I for one want contemporary kitchen bar stools to maximize my small kitchen and to add some fun designs on it to make it lovelier. I know I can add some more because Premiere Bar Stools are so affordable, they offer their products in good prices.

What I like about their products is that they provide variety of selection that you’ll not be asking for more. It doesn’t matter what style, color, texture, material or size you have in mind because they could fit it in all your requirements. If you want extra tall stools just search for their selection which ranges from 34-36 inches, a lot taller than the standard size. So whatever your moods and needs are, whether you want these bar stools for just style, décor, extra seating or for functional use just visit their site and I’m sure you’ll be happy with their products. You don’t have to worry if you’re not satisfied because they offer a 30-day no questions asked return policy. The Red Mark

As I'm on leave today I happened to be the one to personally receive the formal letter of Public Works and Highways about the impending demolition or the clearing (as they mildly put it) of establishments within the 15m 'red mark'. They're giving the notice per lot and officer told me assumingly that whatever damage it may cause our existing establishments be it a post, wall or tapered stores and houses they will store it to livable and orderly condition. That's a positive word that I happily accepted wishing it will be put into works. Anyway I'll put my trust that they will do it as our Mayor reassuringly told me last Saturday that they will not run from it. Another nice word. For now I believe them. I've taken some pictures of the houses that will be affected and a view of the Bonifacio Avenue, why? Actually I'm getting sentimental these days and I just want to have a picture memory of our old barangay before the widening.

The Price of Modernization

The rehabilitation of our road triggered different emotions in my town mates as it would affect their life – their houses and source of income. Some were hysterical and can’t control their frustrations and anger with the resolved General Appropriations Act given by Malacañang but the fact is ‘we don’t have any choice’. Government will not pay a single cent to the affected land areas as they say the 4-5 meters setback was written in our land title, they will only pay for the square meters that will exceed the mentioned setback. At the end of the meeting my town mates realized that they need to follow with much sorrow in their hearts. With the present economic crisis that our country is facing now this is a follow up blow on my neighbors.

Even if our house was not affected because my father had planned the widening generations ago when he renovated the old house I felt the worries and sadness of my town mates which includes a lot of my cousins, aunties and close relatives. Our ancestors are the original residents here and it’s sad to think that some of our neighbors would be losing their sari-sari store and commercial rent business. It was just a consolation that our mayor made DPWH promised that they will restore or reconstruct all that will be affected.

But that will not solve the future problem of lost monthly income and habitation. Is this the price of modernization?

New Bathroom Faucet

I’m having our bathroom renovated in a week’s time and I’m having some canvassing on the materials that we will be using for our new bathroom. I consulted my engineer brother about the kind, style and brand of the faucet that I’ll be using because he knew what’s the best to be used based from his experience in constructing houses. I was glad that I can ask everything regarding house renovation and construction to my brother. It was a great advantage to have a civil engineer in the family, he really is a great help.

One Step Drop

The Big ‘G’ has been updating again the page rank of bloggers. I was attending a community meeting when I learned from JennyL’s text message that my rank dropped from PR3 to PR2. I was quite happy enough that I was a step behind only from my last ranking. I know it’s not stable yet but I pray and hope that it will stay that way because through this blog I have a way of helping others and if ‘G’ will zap my PR I will not be able to save funds for my other expenses.

Rehabilitation of Manila-East Road

Have attended the meeting called by our town’s mayor Mon Ilagan and DPWH Edgardo Peralta regarding the Rehabilitation of Manila-East Road. Our one-lane road would be widened to 15 km. to add another lane, new drainage and sidewalk. DPWH officials think that it will solve the drainage and traffic problem of the town which I agree but a lot sacrifice for the residents who live along A Bonifacio Ave. The people who live along A. Bonifacio are the original clans and families of Cainta. I was relieved that they didn’t pursue with the original plan of 20 kms because that would be getting much of our lands. I noticed that all families attended and everybody want to express their view on this impending widening on our community.

Artistic Talents

Skills on lettering and drawing run in my father’s clan. My first cousin is known in our town when it comes to charcoal/pastel painting, textile painting and other artistic works. I’ve seen how he managed to do everything with fine art skills and lots of imagination. In our own family my brother can’t be left behind as he used to do portraits as his sideline job when he’s still a student. We have different talents and I’m lucky that during my high school days I’ve been trained by my brother on lettering.

This talent and skill now extends to our kids, nieces and nephews. My nephew who graduated from an electrical technology course didn’t want to practice his education but instead make a living out of his talent. He has so many projects especially during summer days when sports league competitions are everywhere. He does everything from textile painting to different signs. I told him to learn the techniques of using airbrush because it will help him improve his projects on textiles, murals, signs and other art projects that he will be accepting from his customers. I learned some techniques on using it when I was working in a consultancy firm and we used airbrush in doing hardbound covers for technical proposals.

Hosting Bible Study

I filed a half day leave yesterday as our family is now the host for our weekly bible study held at our church every Wednesday night. As my boss just got back from abroad I didn’t leave early as he has some things discussed to me. When everything’s ok I left the office and bounded for home. I cooked more than 4 kilos of chicken afritada and because Mom helped me I’m finished and ready at 6pm just in time for my travel to Cubao. Hubby brought the car to work bringing with him all the things that we’re going to use in our hosting. Gen came with me so I’ll have someone with me.

This hosting was an arrangement by every participant family in our church community and it was done on a round basis. Hosting was done by each family every two months. If you’re the host you’re in charge of the food after bible study. You’re free to serve snack or dinner, light or heavy meals just as long as it’s for everyone who attends bible study. It was a nice pray-sing-share God’s word and eat-together service in our church. It bonded us together in faith and brotherhood. It was a great privilege to host a service like this. Praise God.

Causes of Mesothelioma

I did some research on asbestos which was called the miracle mineral because of its soft, pliant properties and its ability to withstand heat. It was used in the past generation in buildings, dwellings and workplaces. It has many uses but it was found a major hazard to health if inhaled. Exposure in this mineral can cause asbestosis, mesothelioma and lung cancer. People who incurred this disease are those who worked on environment where they inhaled particles of asbestos. I was relieved that use of this was removed and banned before 1990’s because no matter how great this mineral is it’s still a threat on human health.

Awareness on ANA-Antinuclear Antibodies

I was waiting the whole day for Tin’s call, she’s going to Cebu this weekend and I asked her if she’s fit for a travel now with her present condition. She was excited the other day and sent me a text message that she’s clear of Lupus as indicated in her laboratory test. We’ll together pray that she’ll be found negative of Antinuclear Antibodies (ANA) too. These diseases are not really familiar to me and if something is bothering me I really do some research. This time I’m going to quote what I’ve found from MedicineNet.com.

“It says that we have antibodies in our blood that repel invaders into our body but ANAs are unusual antibodies, detectable in the blood, that have the capability of binding to certain structures within the nucleus of the cells. The nucleus is the innermost core within the body's cells and contains the DNA, the primary genetic material. ANAs are found in patients whose immune system may be predisposed to cause inflammation against their own body tissues. Antibodies that are directed against one's own tissues are referred to as auto-antibodies. The propensity for the immune system to work against its own body is referred to as autoimmunity. ANAs indicate the possible presence of autoimmunity and provide, therefore, an indication for doctors to consider the possibility of autoimmune illness.”

Now I’m beginning to learn what this ANA disease is all about and this can be tested through blood sample. Did you know that 5% of the population has it? It’s just a survey but I really wonder at all the modern diseases that came into this modern generation, I have a thought that with all these modern conveniences we have in our high technology world we also have these modern diseases that’s keeping up with the times. I’m sure if my grand grandparents were alive they would be amazed at the number of diseases the world have now. All I know is no matter how complicated these diseases are God can take it all in His healing hands. I’ll pray that when the time comes for my friend’s laboratory test results it will be NEGATIVE.

Having Problem With Your Mitral Valve?

Maintaining a healthy body is best achieved with proper exercise, enough sleep and a balanced diet food. If your body is healthy you’re rarely gets sick. Healthy means all your vital organs are functioning properly and well maintained with the right kind of food and vitamins. We should take good care of our lungs, kidney, heart and many other organs that help our body from getting sickness. As I mentioned heart I can’t help remembering how a senior officemate in my past job suffered from stenosis and he submitted himself for a mitral valve surgery which prolonged his life up to this time. Back then I was amazed by the high technology that our science has invented.

I was thinking what if my officemate lived in the old generation where there’s no surgery or repair can be done if you encountered a disorder in your mitral valve. Well we should be relieved that in our generation many good things are available to help us recover from our hearts’ disorders. After all heart problems most of the times causes stroke, one of the most deadly sickness that can happen to you. Heart is really a very sensitive organ because that’s what give us breathe.

I was doing some research these past few days because I wasn’t feeling good about my breathing interval when I saw this Maryland Heart Center site that taught me a lot about how modern science can make wonders with mitral valve repair surgery. They are a group of specialists who performs mitral valve repair and replacement. What’s good about these expert surgeons is that they will do everything to repair the mitral valve instead of replacing it for their patients to be saved from blood-thinning medications. So if there’s anyone in your family who needed surgery in their mitral valve you can help them live a more happy life by restoring the healthy function of their mitral valve.

Prayer For My Friend

I was excited as usual when I saw Christine's name on my inbox message and was ready to read and absorb her usual enlightening text message. I suddenly froze and cold started to envelope my body as I began reading her text about her laboratory examination. At first I thought it was a prayer request for one of her friend but it dawned on me in the end that indeed it was for her. She has undergone laboratory test to rule out some rare disease that doctors suspected her of having. I've chosen to keep it to myself as I'm not sure if she wants to keep it secret and confidential for awhile.

Tin and I met each other in Design Science last February of 1993, my first day. She's employed 2 months back and was glued to her as she's also a born-again christian. We speak the same language, the computer and faith language and that's what makes us stick together. She's a nice, cheerful and very sweet person not so vain with her looks even if she's the prettiest girl in the office. My memory retains everything that we've been through in our work and personal life. From being together on overnight that at times gave us a Goosebumps, we were all alone on our first overnight together doing technical proposal when blackout strikes the whole area and we're helpless and unprepared. We spent the night with no lights on, with just the two of us on the silent basement but you know what we did? We opened our bible and had some sharing and that erased our fear.

She left the office for a better opportunity as programmer in a builders' company and later settled in Duty Free as Systems Analyst. We didn't burned our bridges as she always calls me for everything that happens in her life and that made us closer even without seeing each other. She's there when I married my husband but after awhile I somehow lost track of her, no mobile phones at that time I mean none for the average person. Only those in higher position can afford those very expensive cell phones. But I was happy that God didn't allowed that to happen to us as two years after that I saw her in a market where me and Myrns usually come. It was a great day for us and since then we never lost track and been a text and real-life friends. Hope this coming laboratory results will be proven negative. May God heal her body and give her spiritual strength to bear all the worries and pain of this.

Elegant Pearls

A friend showed me her jewelry collection and boasts about her capacity to buy anything that she wants, fair enough she’s a workaholic and she worked for every collection that she has. It’s just this thing about love for anything that glitters. Actually in every occasion that she attends to she wanted a different jewelry accessory to match her moods. To exude a classic and elegant look she has chosen to wear perfectly round Tahitian pearls. We all know that wearing pearls is like walking with dignity because it was regarded in high esteem. Actually meaning of pearl differs in color; if it’s white it symbolizes innocence, purity and honesty. Gold pearls symbolize prosperity, black means riches and other colors pertain to some other characteristic. But I must say that all pearls are of great price.

She's Having A Baby!

Heard about some good news from my former officemate friend, actually it’s still a secret to everyone save for a few person including me whom she can’t help telling. She was so excited with the pregnancy test result but was apprehensive to announce it to the public until she has consulted her doctor. I know she’s very happy because she’s been telling for a year now that she and her hubby really planned to have another baby this time. I’ve been telling when we’re still together that it’s easier and healthier if women should give birth before forty. She’s in mid-30s now, anyway this was just an advice from me, and some women are strong enough to give birth after 40, giving birth takes a lot of consideration – your health, your emotional stability to care for your baby and financial capabilities. As for my friend I’m very happy that God has finally answered their prayers now.

Car Insurance

My family travels a lot but not around the world, just a travel on some near and far provinces and most of the time on fellowship service ministry. When we travel we always bring the whole family to keep our bonding moments. That’s why we seriously took a lot of time and some money to maintain our car properly and on scheduled time because we don’t want any malfunction to happen while we’re on our way to our destination. We’re very careful and cautious with our car condition because car is like our family also. We never miss to get a car insurance so that if anything happens, God forbid, we would be covered by an insurance company who would take charge of all expenses.

But sometimes insurance quotes are so expensive that it costs us a lot just to have our car insured on time. This is the reason that I browsed online for a cheaper insurance quotes to match our financial capability. Mac Memory

I was browsing the website of my favorite computer peripheral store to look for a bundled price for a complete set of computers. I was reading all their products and found out that I can’t afford the price they have for the package I want. Instead of buying a new PC for myself I just decided to upgrade my Mac memory so I can easily open files and software programs, upload and download music, videos without having to worry about my memory capacity. This way I don’t have to buy a new computer.

Nursery Furniture For Your Baby

A new baby is always a welcome in the family, there’s a certain magic that baby brings. Having a baby in your house adds fun, excitement and happiness. Even before it was born we see to it that the baby’s things are of utmost importance. We carefully choose their clothes, bottles, diapers, toiletries and nursery furniture. Of course we chose what’s best for our little darling in the house. From the moment that the baby was conceived parents should see to it that they’ve saved enough money when their baby will finally arrived in our world.

Well choosing all of baby’s items is also tedious and need lots of time especially when the due delivery time is so near. I remember when I was 8 months pregnant and was choosing and buying things for my baby boy. I had a hard time because he’s my first baby boy and I’m used to choosing things for girls. It took me a lot of time and so much effort that I almost fainted from walking to and fro. Just by deciding what kind of crib should we buy tires me a bit? You know why? I have a habit of rounding all the models and type twice before I began choosing. I’m so amazed that nowadays you can choose, canvass and buy the things you want through online shopping at ShopWiki.

This is one of the best things that happen on shopping as you can shop in the comfort and convenience of your own house. No need to have endless walk, no more falling in line on cashier and you can decide when you want to buy it. Yes online shopping is a big help on searching things for your baby. Shopwiki has all the stores that sells baby items like cribs, bassinets, toddler beds, changing tables, lamps, airmoires and dressers, baby mobiles, toy chests and many others. See there’s plenty to choose from among their list of stores. Visit their site and search for nursery furniture.

Vehicle Insurance

My parents used to tell me that having a car is like having another baby. You’ll take care for it, allot some funds for its maintenance and make sure that you’ll have it insured for emergency cases like accidents. If you will not maintain it the proper way it will show some signs of malfunction in its early age. You see it’s like human, if you don’t take good care of your body you’ll grow old sooner than you think. If you don’t have big funds to cover expensive insurance you always search and look for cheap car insurance like what I’ve done earlier when I browsed the net. You always have choices and if you’re really good in looking for best deals you could have found low.com which offers auto insurance, life insurance, health insurance, homeowners insurance, loans, debt and credit.

Low.com provides the lowest rates for your required insurances for yourself, your family, your car and home. This is very important as having insurance gives protection and assurance that someone will help when you encounter accident, sickness and death. You’ll also have home protection and automobile insurance when something happens on your home and car. It’s like having a friend to help you on your most difficult moments.

As vehicle insurance commonly affects our budget with its high cost sometimes we delayed getting one for financial reason. This is not advisable as every time you travel using your car you’re always at risks on cases of accidents or malfunction. But if you have updated vehicle insurance you’ll not worry about getting hit by another car or if you hit other cars. Insurance is the only means that you can get your car covered with repair and maintenance when you had accidents or liability. So it’s just right to have your car insured on time. Anyway it’s so easy to ask for quotation at low.com and you can experience the best deal in auto insurance.

LifeLock Promotion Code

I’ve received an email from my remittance company asking me to log in to my account and change my password for my protection. Actually it’s just a preventive maintenance on their part and they randomly picked members to participate in their maintenance and I was one of them. Had to sacrifice my lunch break in my office to follow successive instructions in which you cannot stop until it’s finished. It’s a little bit time-consuming though. And why did they do that? Because identity thieves are very rampant now that’s why it’s very important to browse into the sites of companies who offer identity theft protection. I came upon lifelock review and became very interested by the comments and reviews that I’ve read. I’ve learned that every time we go online and register our name on various sites we are putting our name and personal information at risk.

Lifelock provide security and protection on identity theft which is very common nowadays especially that everything is available online like online banking, online shopping and online communications. With lifelock promotion code you’ll get full protection for $9 a month with free 30 days. Along with this discounted rate you’ll be assured that you will have $1,000 service guarantee.

They have an identity theft protection plan for your family and for yourself just visit their site for a complete information on the scope of their protection plan. All I know is the great value of life lock to individuals who are at high risk of being victimized by the hackers. With a plan to protect everyone in the family you’ll be glad to know that your personal and confidential information are secured, your junk mails and pre-approved cards are reduced and you’ll get free credit reports. And if you sign up now you’ll get a free walletlock service, the answer to lost or stolen wallets.

Games Store

Most of the people I know love playing games be it a physical game, sports, internet games video games or games in mobile phones. I think every person in one way or another has retained a certain part of childhood when they grow old. We can’t outgrow the part in our being that love playing games. That’s why when we get matured we just divert that childish part of us in a somewhat matured kind of games. Everyone I know love games, well at least 97% of my friends and acquaintances. One of my friend way back in my first job who’s working now abroad plays Xbox Games whenever he’s home in his apartment to forget his home sickness. It was a diversion that he likes to do especially when he’s missing his family terribly.

Others just play when they’re waiting for someone and can’t do other thing besides playing. But I observed that those in the range of ages of young student in the primary stage preferred PS3 Games, they just love playing it. Well who would have disliked it! Even the old ones sometimes play it. As for me it’s perfectly normal to play these games as long as it doesn’t affect the study habits of your young children. Playing can only be given attention after home works, best to do it on weekends.

Now as the demand for these games is becoming popular I’ve browsed some sites to search for best priced PS3 Games, GBA Games, Xbox games and others. I’ve found GamestoreUSA which offers wide variety of video games, PC games, DVD’s and other accessories. Their products are available as new and used games. You’ll love purchasing items to them as they offer discounts and money back guarantee up to 14 days. Just visit their site and talk to their friendly customer service and support and choose from their extensive ranges of games.

Super Sale!

Viewing Mercury avenue across our building through the glass walls of our building I’ve seen many people carrying kitchen appliances coming from the factory of 3D company. Our maintenance staff told us that there’s a sale of 3D home appliances going on for 2 days now. Me and Florence waited for our break time and crossed the streets as fast as we can to reach the place in a short period as we’re only using our break time. We reached the factory at 3:01 just in time for the closing hours but we managed to get in, thanks for the guards assigned there.

What we saw was a wide open area with appliances sprawling all over the place. Here’s the items that I saw: electric mixer with blender for P585, turbo fan for P550, stand fan for P900 if with remote P1,100, washing machine P4,400, washer, spin-dry, hundreds of glass top casserole sold at P10-60, rice cookers, extension cord at P25, coffee maker, turbo and would you believe a big 3D microwave oven at P1,000. We just made a note of these prices and we’ll be back tomorrow for their extension sale. They might add other items and I’ll be waiting for rechargeable lamps for our church. The staff told us that these are class ‘B’ that’s why they’re selling it but if you purchased an appliance they will test it and you can return it if you want for a limited time only. Btw I bought 2 extension cords lol!

Replacing Some Furniture

I’ve lived my toddler days in an ancestral Spanish-inspired house which was renovated in the late 70’s to adapt to modern style of houses. It was hard to keep the beauty and strength of that ancestral house and my father decided to change it to a modern overhang style house with washed walls over the exterior. He kept some of the antique furniture and combined some modern sofas and kitchen furniture. Now after many years of maintaining the old things in the house I’m browsing online for furniture catalog so I can replace some of our furniture which lost its beauty after serving us for many years. I thought of reviving them but most of them would cost me more to restore so I just kept a few for sentimental reason.

Help On Losing Excess Pounds

I’ve been having trouble keeping up to my diet. It’s hard when you’re working full-time in an office because sometimes due to busy schedule I can’t prepare the right diet food for me. I read a lot about proper diet and I learned that you could lose pounds if you eat the right food, exercise daily and have enough sleep. It’s easy to say this but it’s not that easy when you’re working for more than 8 hours a day. Maybe I need an extra help to burn more calories and increase my metabolism. I’m sure green tea will help me achieve this so I’d better be buying some fat burners with green tea ingredients. It’s healthier and safer than other fat burners available in the market. Will try it now so I can be slimmer while staying healthy!

Compare Loud Siren and Lifelock

Our technology has reached higher level of modernizing communication. In the older days letter was transmitted slowly through postal office, then fax came along which solved a lot of communication problem because letters and memorandum can reach the recipient in just minutes but then it’s not free for international transmission. With the current communication wizard using internet we can send and receive letters, pictures, and videos free of charge in a matter of seconds. This is a great help especially in the office world. I’m working in a telecommunications company and I can attest to the help that internet is giving to achieve the best communication ever. Even if I’m amazed with online technology I’m also aware that identity theft is very rampant in the online world. I’ve been reading a lot about this thing about identity theft protection and tried to Compare LoudSiren and LifeLock, the companies which offers protection to all confidential and personal information that was being threatened of being hacked every time we go online and use our internet.

They are offering protection from identity thieves because there are many reported incidents of unauthorized usage of account names and credit cards. Loud Siren provides these and there’s a lot more as your junk mail will be limited, your pre-approved cards will be stopped, receive a fraud alert on your credit reports and get a credit report free of charge. Imagine all these convenience in your life that will give you security on your precious confidential information.

Compared to Lifelock that offer the same services Loud Siren has an edge as it has more protection features bringing you all mentioned services plus extra benefits such as calling you if an account is opened on your name so you’ll have the capability to approve or deny the transaction and preventing and limiting unwanted phone calls offering you this and that service. Oh well this is really good as Loud Siren is a partner of Debix which is very well known as the No. 1 ID theft solution. They offer all these for $99 per year and if you enter Loud Siren promo code you can sign for only $89, that’s super savings. With this price you’ll have $25,000 Identity Protection Insurance underwritten by AIG and a service guarantee of up to $1,000. This is simply cool, so apply now and avail your package that will give you peace of mind.
