Games That Simulates My Dream Store

People grow old but there’s always a part of us that never grows old especially if you feel young at heart and you have hobbies that will make you really active and energetic. Life is fun if you have the ability to see the bright sides of living and make it meaningful and worthy. Living life to the fullest is one of my friend’s goals in life and her idea of enjoying life in its fullest version is traveling to many wonderful places in the world. It gives her too much happiness and excitement when she travels and experiences various cultures and traditions. Indeed, she has travelled Asia, Australia and plans to travel more.

We all have our own idea of making ourselves happy and contented in our life. Some are happy just being in the rural areas where they enjoy the quiet and peaceful countryside free from the hustles and bustles of the active urban life. Others can’t live without the bright lights and modern amenities of the city with great amusements, tall buildings, lush restaurants and working in big corporate places. People are different in more ways than one and as long as they’re happy with what they have it doesn’t matter what they have and where they are.

For me having a nice happy family, enough resources to live by and centering my life in the center of God’s life is the best that I could dream of. We enjoy simple things in life and enjoying God’s bountiful blessings. When we’re together we sing, we play, and we talk about our work, hobbies and just enjoy being together. We love playing games when we’re all free from school and work.

Age doesn’t matter when it comes to playing games, young and old like looking for new games to enjoy especially those games that resemble real life scenario like what I’ve found just recently. Most of the times I’m browsing shops to buy things and sites for movies or for online games. I’m still a child at heart and I just love playing games with my kids. I discovered Tap Supermarket, a grocery store model game where you manage a store, stocking products, checking out customers and expanding your profits. The game really excites me because it simulates my idea of my own dream supermarket.

I’m planning to put up my own store and when I play it I feel like it’s really having my own store to manage like restocking products on displays and stock room to replenish the decreasing stocks of the store. Even if it’s only a game I feel some rush in replenishing stocks and when the customers line up at the checkout line in cashier I tried to click faster to catch up all of them. I even expanded my inventory and bought more products. It really feels like I own a real store and enjoyed playing this supermarket game. I even shared my score here.

I shared this money games to some of the kids in our community and they’ve found their own kind of games. The small kids in our neighborhood who loves pet tried playing the Idle Pet Business game, a game where you operate a pet store. They love it when upon earning income from selling their pet hamster they were able to unlock the pets one by one, first the cats, then dogs, rabbits and parrots. They love buying upgrades because they were able to lower production time, collect earning and gain more profits. It’s cute and fun especially when they shared it on social media.

Well we’ve found more games about building bridges, selling chocolates and pizzas, web tycoon simulator, sort the trash, idle mining empire and a lot more. Games are really exciting and not just for kids but for the oldies as well, it’s a refreshing resort to relieve your stress and tiredness from everyday work. I feel young again. Try it too.

Enjoying Life Work Balance with Recreations

To enjoy life, we need to have a well-balanced world of work and play. We need to support ourselves and our family with the basic things and necessities, so we need to work and earn to sustain our needs. This is the reason why we study and earn degree so we can compete with the corporate world and be stable to start a family of our own. I learned this thing early in life as my father retired early in life because of failing health and my Mom became the breadwinner and reared us all the way to earning a degree in college. God is so good that all of us made our way through college and got a stable job with only one parent earning an income. My family has a very positive attitude in life, and it reflected how we lived our life.

I also learned that we need a life work balance not just for our physical but mental health as well. This is the reason why we need to have hobbies and sports to beat the stress we sometimes get in the hustle and bustle of life. Work can be boring sometimes because of the routines and repetitive procedures, and you can only be revitalized if you have something that will take your mind off your work. It could be some hobbies like listening to music, watching shows, cooking, painting, photography or it could be enjoying some games. Games are not only for children but for grown up individuals also who need to keep their minds refreshed from the daily work activities.

Well, everyone has their own stories of childhood and how they spent their young life with the happiest of games and outdoor sports. In our younger years in the rural areas, we’re content playing in the fields running carefree, swimming in the rivers and having fun with whatever nature has to offer. When we lived in the urban areas my siblings and I became so fond of playing table tennis, word games, chess and just playing anything that we found interesting and funny with our friends in the neighborhood. We had so many happy childhood memories that we passed later on to our kids. I would not exchange it for the world.

Now that I have a family of my own, I’m seeing a different world with the new technology of games for the kids. When my kids were younger, I let them experience those games I had and they’re happy about it. But times keep changing and games evolve also, we just have to enjoy what’s in our plate now. It’s actually more affordable now to play online games because in our days we have to buy video game consoles from Nintendo, Atari and some other developers. Among those that we love to play are Super Mario Bros, Tetris, Pac Man but you can’t play them if you don’t have the handheld consoles unlike now that you only need a mobile phone and internet connection, and you can play all you want. I personally love playing blocks and word puzzles as it stimulates my mind so well. Life is so good when you divide your time wisely enjoying work, family and recreational hobbies and games.

I enjoy so many hobbies of my own; cooking, calligraphy, baking, gardening, photography and watching movies. My hobbies make me happy and excited for little achievements I gained from those, not to mention that it also relieves stress and make my time worthwhile just like when you play games. They’re both good in balancing your personal life and work. Up until now online games never cease to amaze me because they have everything for all ages and for all walks of life. I find educational games like Educational Math 4 Kids helpful because it does not only entertain kids but educate them as well. Children are now hooked on everything that’s online, and this kind of games will bridge the need for math education and the excitement of playing games.

From time to time, I explore games that our family can enjoy and play together like Mobile Chess and Word Games. A little thinking over some questions will be just as exciting as the real word games like the mobile responsive crossword puzzle found in calculators.org. The young and old me love word games and so are my whole family. It’s fun to play games and exciting to see how we compete with each other. My kids are as competitive as their Mom. I just love them.

Ways to Enjoy Life with Fun Online Games and Hobbies

Everyone has their own share of happy childhood memories of fun games and outdoor activities that they’ve grown so fond of. It’s something that they had in their younger years when games ruled out their weekends and school breaks. Everyone experienced being young and energetic that they sought certain hobbies that would keep them entertained. Be it playing ball or board games, singing, dancing, cooking, drawing, sports, and outdoor activities, it always keeps their minds preoccupied and refreshed from the usual routine and boring activities. It also kept them thrilled and enthusiastic. Even to the grown-up individuals they still need to have some sports or hobbies to beat the stress of the daily bustle of life.

In my early childhood with my big brother, little sister and plenty of cousins around me, we played all sorts of games that did not require many toys and gadgets. In the province back then we played ball games in the field, climbed trees, played water sports in the river, tumbled in the grass, rode horses at the sides, played hide and seek and just enjoyed everything offered by nature. At home we played scrabble, rubber bands, cards and riddle games that kept us awake at night even if our elders were telling us to sleep early. Even when we moved to my father’s hometown near the entrance of the city, life was still simple and games were still the natural kinds where children just play whatever games they want out in the streets just before dinnertime.

Life became different when technology started to unfold where children started playing the Family Computer, who didn’t know the very famous Super Mario Bros. game. My best friend has even stuffed Super Mario toys which she adores so much. I actually played it with her in their home together with that handheld game consoles which get us so excited, actually not only us but adults as well. I particularly loved playing Pac-Man, a maze action game where the player controls a dot-eating Pac-Man inside an enclosed maze while avoiding ghosts to keep his life. Pac-Man should eat power pellets for him to eat the ghosts to have bonus points and a bonus life too. You need to be fast and alert, or you’ll be eaten by ghosts. Just thinking of it made me smile. I started playing blocks and learned to love Tetris, where I need to complete lines by moving differently shaped pieces. These games are super entertaining for me because my mind gets so focused while my heart is excitedly controlling my hand.

As years gone by these games were played on desktop computers where online games became so exciting like playing Mystery Case Files where the player plays Master Detective for the hidden object puzzles and must find a certain number of items hidden somewhere on a painted scene. It became popular with the working individuals where we spent our lunch breaks trying to finish those puzzles. It’s also the time when cellular phones entered the gaming world, and people played Snake, Solitaire, block games like Tetris, board games like Scrabble and Chess, and for those who want speed they played running cars.

Life is so happy with games you can play with; it can relieve stress, make you competitive or just beat your boredom. A few years back I became so engrossed in Candy Crush that I would play every break time I had at work. It became so popular that even celebrities would buy virtual goods to move to a higher level. Hobbies and games are the same in a way that it fills up your spare time, makes you excited and definitely makes a person enjoy life as it is. I have so many hobbies of my own like cooking, calligraphy, photography, gardening, watching movies and, of course, baking with my daughter Ruthie, but I make my hobbies and online games balanced with my life and work.

Until now, online games still amaze me, especially those mind-blowing games like Word Tetris, Four Pics 1 Word and Wordscapes which stimulates my mind so much. From time to time I visit new sites that offer new exciting games, especially when the pandemic hits the globe and makes us sad whenever someone we love passes away. Playing games brings us respite from feeling lonely like the games I chanced upon on Plays.org, I played some Arcade classics like Tetra Blocks, and my kid played the educational game Zombie Typing where you have to fight off waves of zombies by correctly typing words, so if you miss one word, they will quickly come to you. The game made him jump in his seat and made him type as fast as he could.

Just now I tried a very intriguing game because it’s what every person talk about now but not the scary virus but an enjoyable game, The Fight Virus COVID-19 Hospital Simulation Game, a hospital simulation game where the player should disinfect every place where the virus goes to. The virus should be eliminated, so it will not spread. I really enjoyed it how the virus would suddenly appear one by one, and I would have to disinfect all of them. You have to be alert and fast, so you won’t reach the 70% infection rate, or the game will be over hahaha. It feels like a kid for a time being.

That’s what games can do to a person, you’ll feel young again. I promised myself to try out some new games again if I have more free times, so I will forever feel young and excited. Try it, guys, you’ll love it.

Outdoor Fun Games- Backyard Scrabble

Source: sunset.com via Race on Pinterest

As a kid up to my college days playing scrabble is one of the games that I love playing during summer vacation.  During those days internet is not yet invented and we rely on real stuff like scrabble and other board games to spend our hot summer afternoon.  Sometimes my sister, my brother and I play table tennis and badminton but when we want to sit and relax scrabble is our best game to play.

Looking at this giant backyard scrabble it's fun to think how we will  enjoy this big version of our fave game.  Surely my brother will laugh at this one when he see it because we hadn't imagined this would be possible.  Well it's not too late to have this now and we can now play with our kids.  This will gonna be super fun outdoor and backyard activity that the kids will appreciate for sure.  A good respite from Dynomite, Candy Crush and other online games huh!

Sports Option

We’ll be going again to our hometown province first week of next month and we’re all looking forward to that day. We will attend the wedding of my cousin’s son and have swimming afterwards. We’re planning to make the most of our travel there and to bond with our cousins there also. We love to be with them again since we’re always there only on few occasions now due to busy schedule. Mom is getting old and she’s missing her hometown, her nieces and nephews, grandchildren, relatives and lots of friends. Some of her friends passed away already and she wants to visit those who were still alive. I guess it’s really hard for someone to leave the town you’ve grown up and that’s what happened to my Mom. We relocated to our present residence now since I was 7 years old because my father lives and works at the same town.

Now that she’s at her prime years she loves reminiscing the past and loves to reunite with old colleagues and friends. Anyway I’m thinking what other sports we can play at the province aside from the usual games we played there. Upon looking at some pictures of my friends who loves shooting sports I learned that they’re playing Airsoft guns and they’re enjoying it. In fact many of the big boys are having fun with this sport they’ve discovered. Well I’m new with this one and learned through searching that it’s a plastic gun with round pellets which is slower in speed compared to real guns but a bit painful when hit. It’s a safe game because it can’t kill or cause bleeding injuries.
Well one can wear protective gears when playing airsoft guns like Airsoft AEG which is the most popular airsoft rifle to avoid being hit and to prevent painful feeling. Stores selling safety gears recommend full face shield like a mask, airsoft safety glasses for target shooting and thick outfits to reduce the pain when shot by the opponent. All in all this is a good and enjoyable sport especially for the big boys who want the fun of shooting without hurting anyone. Anyway this one need rechargeable batteries and charger so be sure to bring extra batteries so you will be able to enjoy a full day play with your friends. This is a sport that can be played indoors and outdoors so I guess this can be a good option to play in the province also.

Little Boy's Practice in School

I thought I will be able to wake up early as DH already finished his ROTC but the little boy has his practice for their field demo.  DH went out early to look for red metallic foil that they will need for the practice.  He then brought it to the little boy's school to submit.  I was glad that after 3 hours Josh arrived home and we began arranging things in the house.  We always do that on weekends and it's also a kind of training for the kids.  We let them tidy their own cabinets and clean their bags except for the little boy who needs help with his big bag.

We had an early lunch and after that we let them play in PC for scheduled hours.  We want them to enjoy weekends but we don't let them decide how many hours will they be playing because they will form a habit and that will not do them good.  They should know that playing online games has restrictions and schedules.  They should also learn to play other games outside the computer.

Little Josh' 7th Birthday!

It’s my little boy’s 7th birthday and he was so excited ever since he woke up and heard our greetings to him while playing birthday song. As soon as our service ended we arranged the rented venue beside our church. It’s wide enough to arrange few tables and chairs and a spacious area for playing games. The kids’ excitement was infectious and later the Mommies joined their kids and assisted them. The youth helped in arranging and cleaning because we wanted it to be spotless clean so the kids can do everything they want on the floor.

The games was great and when all the prizes are all in the hands of the children we started the greetings and the birthday song. Pastor prayed for Josh’ birthday and we made him blow his candle with a wish. Then we started eating together. I was happy that I chose the bigger cake because there’s cake for all of us. The kids happily ate together and talked about their winnings and waited in line for their loot bags.

Discipline on Computer Gaming

DH vacation helped me in putting more discipline to the kids regarding their usage of their computer. We still didn’t have playstation 3 and we’re not planning to buy that yet so we can control the kids more. When my sister and I purchase our notebook and laptop she gave her desktop computer to my 3 kids and hubby will have exclusive use of our other personal computer.

Of course the kids were so happy that they have their own PC aside from the other extra PC but we explained to them that they can’t use them whenever they wish because playing games should have limited time only. Discipline should be imposed on our kids or else when school opens up in the coming days they will have a hard time returning to their study habits. Habits are known to be hard to break that’s why we’re not going to make it their habits.

Josh At Super Mario Olympics

What a kid! Gen played with this and I saw she did some real nice one spot running here just like in a marathon and into difficult hurdles in some phases of the game. Her legs actually hurt with vigorous running and stomping. Then Josh imitated her, he made me put a coin and he jumped into the running slot, there you see he hardly reached the two sides because he's so small lol! We just let him do what her sister did and we're amazed he passed the first phase and into the second phase. Even if he didn't won much ticket here he's very happy with his game. He's just a baby you know!

After this he asked for food and drinks, poor kid he must have put all his strength here!

Water Shooting

Gen has picked this water shooting game which I enjoyed also, actually I played the first game. It's fun because charcaters will appear and pop up and you have to shoot at the center to hit them and get a score. This is only part of our Tom's World day at the mall, part of my gift to Gen for being good in school just like Ruth and Josh. We only collected 7 tickets here, we're laughing all throughout the game the reason why we're very slow. Nice bonding with kids.

Got Plenty of Tickets!

Wow! Ruth was all smiles here as she gathered her 150 jackpot tickets from Spin 'N Win! It was her first game and lucky for her as when she stopped the spinning it stop to the jackpot area, Yeheey!

This day at Tom's World was a treat to all my kids for being good in school for the school year ended. They coerced me into agreeing to bring them to arcade to play rounds of arcade games and this is our first stop. Isn't it fun? Fun for me is when I see them happy and smiling :-) It felt good inside.
