Three Benefits of Taking Swimming Lessons from a Pro

Whether you’re a beginning swimmer or a seasoned one, there are many benefits to taking lessons from a pro. A pro who is teaching swimming has lots of knowledge and experience that he or she can share with you. If you’re going to learn, why not learn from the best? Look at three specific benefits you can enjoy if you take swimming lessons from a pro.

Increase Your Speed

Maybe you love to swim the butterfly stroke, but you want to increase your speed. A pro instructor can show you how to swim faster while performing the butterfly stroke with precision. Or, perhaps you’re a high school student with a swim competition coming up and you want to increase your speed in the freestyle race. A pro instructor is more than qualified to help you accomplish that goal. You may even get some inside tips that can help put you over the top in terms of your own personal swimming goals.

Correct Your Mistakes

If you find yourself feeling awkward as you perform the backstroke, the breaststroke or another stroke, your pro instructor can observe you and help you correct any mistakes. Perhaps your instructor will help you work on your form, so you feel more at ease as you move through the water. Or, maybe your instructor will help you with breathing control. A pro has seen many common mistakes and knows how to help someone do better.

Gain Confidence

A pro instructor has the skills and talent to help you gain confidence in your swimming abilities. This type of instructor knows how difficult it is to work up to a certain level in swimming and can empathize with a student’s efforts to get better. Having a pro on your side can make all the difference.

Look for a pro instructor who is patient and dedicated to helping energetic swimmers achieve their goals in the sport. The investment you make in getting a pro instructor will pay off in the end.

Early Birthday Celebration

We had an early celebration of my Mom’s birthday at Lake Villa Resort. It was made more enjoyable as it was attended by family and our relatives in our hometown in Laguna. I’m so happy that we decided to make it a swimming birthday celebration as it’s so relaxing to do it that way. Well even if I’m tired from all the cooking in the house and in the resort it’s worth it all. Anyway after lunchtime we had all the time in the world to swim, chat, take pictures or just rest and view the pretty scenery by the lake.

After so many years I saw DH relax and had a good time without thinking of the hardship in his work. I and the kids were so glad he was able to come with us now. We enjoyed the kids’ pool that much that we stayed there for more than an hour sitting there and relaxing with the splash of fountain on our faces. Just too tired to post pictures now, maybe I’ll just post when I have a time.

:Mommy Moments - Summer Days Are Here!

mommy moments

As school classes is just about to end we still haven't been to any resort. Next week we'll go to Villa Dominga Forest Resort where we'll have our regular summer camp meeting and possibly a splashing afternoon in the resort before we go home. We sleep in the tent which makes it more exciting.

Some shots I have here was our swimming in Brgy. Pansol's Villa Ruby Rosa in Calamba, Laguna where we regularly spend our summer swimming for the whole church. We rent the whole resvilla to our group only and cook our meals here good for around 14 families. We started going there at dawn and go home before it's dark. There are only two pools here, one for the kids and for the adults but it's good enough for us. Kids just go out of the pool when they're hungry lol!

Summer Get Together At Villa Rubi Rosa

Had some fun last week as we gathered together and traveled to Laguna to spent the day on one of the resorts there. This time we chose Villa Rubi Rosa in Brgy. Pansol in Calamba, Laguna. We always hire private pool resort because we don't want strangers swimming with us :-) Anyway we're a big group so it's really advisable to hire one resort just for us.

Everyone had fun, the elders and the kids alike. I stayed in the kitchen in the morning and after we cooked everything - beef mechado and tilapia we (fellow cooks) dived in the pool after lunch. Josh was so happy having me with him on the other pool because he just stayed in the kids' pool in the morning. The adults acted like kids as they played volleyball, badminton and many other games in the pool.

All kids never seem to get enough of the water, they just appear whenever they're hungry and then they'll go back again in the pool. Josh was the perfect example as you can see in the picture that his eyes are reddish due to prolonged stay in the water. He also learned how to dive this time the reason why he told me when we got home that it's the best swimming he ever had. Funny! He always says that to me when he's happy!

Summer Moments

My family was so fond of swimming and we never really miss summer moments on a pool or beach resort. I remember when my first child was only 9 months old and we visited Dingalan beach in Nueva Ecija near Aurora Province. We had a tough road and travel going there but it’s worth the effort because the beach there has very nice waves and clear water. My sister-in-law gave some nice cute swimsuits to my baby girl but we never really tried to get her into the seawater for fear of strong uncontrollable waves. She just stayed at the beachfront and watched others swim with the waves.

We've planned foods like grilled pork liempo, seafoods, chicken adobo, hotdogs, sausages, sisig, BT&T's favorite binagoongan rice (Art's specialty), drinks, snacks and many more. Complete details and pictures will be posted on my Race Corner blog later.

Get Together

It's nice to be in Pansol again and of course to our favorite villa resort, a very simple one but because we've been hiring the place for 4-5 years now the price is very affordable to us. We're always hiring the place every Jan.1, May 1, on every baptism and on some birthday or other special occasions. The caretaker was so nice to deal with that's why even if the place have only two pools, small one for the kids and another for adults. We're a group of people who always love to spent holidays together and we love swimming be it on a pool or on beach resort. We prepared mechado, pancit and spaghetti alongside with roasted eggplant and barbeque. The kids stayed on the pool the whole day just leaving the pool when hungry, they were happily shouting when we reached the place and right there and then went to the pool and began swimming and playing. In the afternoon after making sure that my kids were with their daddy on the pool I took a nap. and a half, just waking up to a call for spaghetti It was a very relaxing nap of an hour snack. We prepared to return back to Manila around 5-6pm.

Ready For Swimming

My kids were asking me since Saturday if we could drop by the mall to buy their swimming things for our church' outing on Thursday, May 1. It's a national holiday, actually a labor day so we don't have work on that day. My kids were so happy and excited since the outing was discussed a month ago! My eldest who's already 10 years old had her things and clothes ready since last week, not so excited huh! Anyway it's just an ordinary swimming in Barangay Pansol in Calamba, Laguna and we're always there at least thrice a year but since it's summer and everyone was raving about swimming and resorts it's getting more exciting for the children, they will tell it to their friends.

We left the church before 8pm and because Ever was still open they made their daddy turn the car and park it there. I heard them giggling and saying that 'Yehey it's still open'. We hurriedly went for Twiddledee and choose from among the store's various swimming gears, I picked a kiddie life vest for Josh and some gears for my girls. I was busy with my chosen things for the swimming that when I paid for them and went outside I didn't noticed that Josh was crying. He was disappointed that store closed suddenly after we went out and he wanted me to buy him a robot. I just promised that we'll buy some other time and bought him his favorite chocomilk powder and some other food he love to make him stop. He stopped afterawhile but his face was serious, oh poor kid he must have liked that robot very much!

Ciudad Christia's Nine Waves

Had fun in Ciudad Christia’s Nine Waves, it’s like an outing of the Abug and Tebrero family. It’s also a birthday celebration of Ate Zeny’s daughter Megan who just turned 9 last January 24. As they flew all the way from England to have a 2-week vacation here they chose to celebrate Megan’s birthday here in the Philippines to be with her Filipino relatives especially her cousins. Got plenty of food – cakes, pasta, maja, biko, hotdogs, barbeques, lumpiang shanghai and ubod, adobo, egg pies, I can’t remember all lol!
The place was nice and the waves were great as the pool resembles a seaside with waves rolling down the pool like you’re in a beach. Kids were shouting and yelling as the watery waves splashed unto their bodies almost toppling them down. I didn’t swam as Ed wasn’t there to watch over them, I’m like a life guard watching my three kids’ as they endlessly swam the water. They only rest to eat some food and during the singing of happy birthday to Megan. Megan was also happy as she patiently blew the candle amidst the wind. Glad she liked my kids’ gift though it was only a Word Factory. Ate Zeny told me that she likes playing that game. Actually it’s my favorite game when I was a kid (until now lol). I had difficulty in convincing my kids to stop swimming to get ready for home as they really never want to go home J. Had lots of food so we all packed some pasalubong for those who didn’t make it to Megan’s birthday.
