Pallete Moon-Shaped Baby Cradle

The baby here looks so warm and comfortable in this home-made moon-shaped baby cradle made out of pallettes.  The shape and the wood did it all.  The shape made it possible to swing it when necessary and the pallette provides comfortable material for it.  No one even me would think that it's going to be nice using pallettes for cradle but it's very functional from the look of it.

Sometimes we just have to be creative with making some improvement in our house or adding some useful furniture like this one.  Our imaginative ideas should work well with the things present in our house like some left-over pallettes or old things that can be recycled to bring out some nice and useful furniture.

My Daughter’s Career Goals and Dreams

For our new dark wood sofa bought last week we’re thinking of some nice couch cushions for extra cushion when we need replacement for the current one. As for now we’re happy with the Safari designs on our sofa which actually got our interest when we saw the sofa. It blended beautifully with the black wood furniture and harmonizes with the light peach color of our wall. We bought a golden shining curtain to enhance the new furniture and we’re contented about it. 

Our house is a huge one and the size, color and style of the new sofa and curtain enhances the home classic beauty. How I love to do interior design on our own house and it seems that my eldest daughter inherited it. She’s taking up Interior Design in college next year and she’s very excited about it. She has always been a fanciful one with design ideas and fashionable also so I think the course befits her and her personality also. I’m hoping and praying that she’ll reach her dreams and goals in life with a good and hopeful attitude in life.

Quality and Sentimental Value of the Old Furniture

Most of the furniture in our house are original creations of my father when he’s still younger and strong enough to do his hobbies. When he’s not in his office he always finds time to do some carpentry and all his projects are of high quality because he uses the best wood materials. Well that was decades ago and even if the furniture are of quality made it’s still prone to wear and tear because of long period of use. Anyway if one could see our dining table, chairs and sofa he will understand what I’m talking about so I had the dining set restored last year and resized also to fit the size of our dining room. 

Now what I’m worried about is the condition of the wooden sofa because it suddenly lost its former beautiful and durable condition. It really needs some repair and restyling in a way then we would need a good seat cushion to make it look fuller and comfortable to sit on. I know that if we’ll restore the furniture it’s still better than buying a new one because it’s made of the finest wood in the old days. It also has a great sentimental value because it reminds me so much of my father.

With our new area for fellowship for more than a month now we feel so blessed that we were given a privilege to use the whole of the wide 5th floor area for our church service. We’re still renting one of the adjacent rooms in the lower floor but the management allowed us to use the spacious area in the upper most floors while it’s vacant. After we’ve finally set up the place we feel like it’s really for us. Now there are plenty of rooms where we can neatly arrange our activities. 

We can also cook if we want because the area gave us a spacious pantry, 2 extra rooms for functional use such as Sunday school, Pastor’s prayer room, youth corner and a lot more. Of course if our fellowship’s place is to be considered we should be replenishing our things to match the place. We were thinking of buying new musical instruments, new stacking church chairs and everything that will help in enhancing our new place. As the place is so convenient and just right for us we’re wishing that we’ll stay there for long period of time

Protection for Outdoor Furniture

As our house is located along the national road of our town it’s easy for our veranda furniture to collect dust and dirt. It would take an hourly dusting just to make sure that you’ll be sitting to clean furniture. This is the reason why I’m thinking if outdoor furniture covers will help especially now that it’s not only dust that will ruin and make our furniture dirty but the rain as well.

Missing the Old Furniture in Our Province

With the rush of high technology gadgets and ultra modern furniture I have a sudden longing for our rural home in the province. It’s nice to see the wide variety of elegant and stylish furniture all over the mall on my way home because it encourages me to redecorate our house. It also inspires me to think of unique interior decor for the house but sometimes they all seem the same. When I go home to take some rest I just want to rest my back and sit on my Mom’s wooden rocking chair which has the magic of relaxing my senses.

The rocking chair reminds me of our log furniture in my Mom’s hometown province and somehow I missed our home back there. With the modern office furniture I see everyday it’s a respite to see some furniture that would remind me of the nature’s beauty and rural’s charming appeal. Maybe I should plan to visit our relatives there some other free weekends. The kids would surely enjoy seeing and using some natural log furniture.

New Furniture

As the year changes and welcomes new beginnings we also wanted new in our life. Most of the working class who received their bonuses wanted to invest or buy something so they can see where their money has been spent. Hubby and I purchased a new bed for us discarding the old one that we used for many years. Replacing Some Furniture

I’ve lived my toddler days in an ancestral Spanish-inspired house which was renovated in the late 70’s to adapt to modern style of houses.
