December Camp Communion & Footwashing

Every December and Summer Camp we have communion and footwashing. Ninang Remy, our dear pastor's wife always cook the unleavened bread made from flour without yeast. Together with some sisters they mixed flour with enough water, then mashed it and later throw into the boiling pot of water. This unleavened bread represents the body of Christ. We also have red wine which only has 5% alcohol. Before the communion we see to it that we're close to each other or let's say no one has a tinge of regret or grudge to anyone in the church because this will not represent a true communion which is asking forgiveness to all your wrong attitude and wrongdoings in life and start a new bright aspect in life. This is a very heart warming hour and very solemn too. Would like to share some pictures here:

December Camp Meeting In Tagaytay

We spent a couple of days in Tagaytay City as we praised and worshipped the reason for this Christmas season 'Jesus Christ'. We started traveling very early in the morning meeting brethren in Fairview at Pasig City around 3am then we headed off to GMA Cavite where we met our Pastor and brethren in Sta. Ana. All five vehicles then headed to Tagaytay City reaching our destination before the sun shines. It was very cold in Tagaytay especially when the wind blows, one jacket is not enough to get warm. It was a very fulfilling fellowship, a kind of retreat for all of us. Everyone cooperated with their assigned duties and responsibilities. The youth and mothers took care of the sunday school with their bible lessons and games. The sisters took turns in helping our dear master cook Sis. Cresing and the ministers had their time of sharing God's word especially our Pastor who dedicate his precious time teaching and sharing his God-given revelation and wisdom in God's word. Everybody worked as one body in Christ especially in our Communion and Feetwashing. We met the owner of the mansion Pastor Dick who shared God's word before we left the place, he was a very humble and kind person. We were very happy and fulfilled when we finally left the place.

It's My Birthday Today!

Cake and Roses for my birthday! That's what hubby has bought for my birthday, he never fails to give me white roses every birthday and anniversary.

I spent half of my day with my girls' party in school, as PTA officer we arranged some activities and games to make their christmas party merrier. They were so happy with the parlor games, prizes, gifts and giveaways. I brought Josh along and he also got a loot bag. JennyL and Micah visited me in the evening, I cooked fried chicken and served them with pork barbeque, grilled squid (my favorite) and ice cream. We were late for my visitors as I've done my final shopping for our Tagaytay Fellowship but Jen and Micah was entertained by Josh, he never runs out of stories so my visitors were not mad at me when I reached home lol! I'm glad my fried chicken was a hit to Micah because in Australia they never had crispy chicken, they baked chicken.

Birthday Dinner With Ed

As the week will be so busy I surprised my hubby by dropping by in his office to have dinner with him, he was happy that we'll be celebrating my birthday in advance that he ask permission to leave their store 3 hours earlier than usual-mallwide store hours is up to 10pm the whole month of December. We shopped for shoes before we ate at our favorite kainan in Gateway Mall, just as simple dinner of Sizzling Sisig, Pizza, Salad and Ice Cream. I always want to surprise him sometimes because it's exciting that way. Couples should be like that even when married for a couple of years already, you know it's adding some spice to relationship. We eat together outside in restaurant or in fast food every payday to enjoy each other's company outside the pressures of running a family.

Josh' First School Christmas Party

It's Josh Christmas Party in school and we were notified by school that no parents are allowed to accompany their kids on the party, if stage mothers (lol) insisted to be there at the party they just have to be at the school gate. With this notice I finally surrendered to my idea of coming to his party and informed the office that I will not be on leave today. Still I fixed Josh gifts and things murmuring to myself that we should be allowed to go with them though I praise the teachers for their decision because sometimes parents are overdoing things and the school grounds would just be full of doting parents. Kids will learn how to be independent. Since I still have enough time I dressed my little prince to be sure he'll look good. I left the house feeling good that I saw how my kid looked in his polo and slacks. Cute little boy(trust Mommy to always say that to their babies lol!) he always want to be groomed like that.

St. Audry's Christmas Program

I was getting rushed as our service vehicle for school was late again. He's always like that on a Monday just like me having Monday sickness lol! I filed my leave so I can be with Josh, school directress and teachers invited parents to be with their kids for us to see the students' variety of presentation. All students wear red just like S.Claus costume. I asked if we can skipped wearing the costume but my teacher friend Janet suggested that we'll just wear it there during the program. Costume was made by my friend Annie Z. who's always there to help me out with my three kids' costume everytime the need arises. Anyway there's a lot of presentation but what I liked most is the presentation of the birth of Jesus Christ - the real reason for this season. Small kids were made to look like Mary, Joseph, angels, three Kings and shepherd. Glad they all behaved :-)

They Love Ice Cream

Here comes mamang sorbetero again ringing his bells on my kids, they love ice cream so much their ears are always waiting for the ice cream man's bells. My kids took after my cravings for ice cream, everywhere we go usually in mall supermarkets they always look for the ice cream booth that sells scoops of ice cream. It's always a part of their eating habits. Be it on the can, on the glass or on the cone, ice cream is always the best. You can see here picture of them eating ice cream in the mall.

My Father's Birthday

It's my father birthday today but since he's passed away already I just offered him a prayer. Oh how I loved my father when he's still here, I was the family's DADDY's girl because I was the one who resembled him the most especially my looks. Neighbours used to call me Girl Junior lol! He's like a jack-of-all trade in his job, skills and talents. He's an architect and engineer of our big house, a lawyer by studies, a government servant in occupation and profession - he served our town as municipal secretary for twenty years with a clean record, a businessman, a tailor, a speech writer (that's where I got my flair for writing), has talent in music and a very lovable husband and father.

Because Tatay as I fondly called him was a very responsible and understanding husband I had difficulty in finding a man like him. I just can't be attracted to a person who has looks but don't have depth or sense. I didn't looked or search for a man similar to him but the Lord find and gave me a man of God to be my partner for life. That's my blessing for LIFE.

What Your Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich Means

Oh I really love sandwiches that's why I was interested to do this quiz and may be see for myself if it's true! Some were true, a few not so very true lol! Fun doing this! Try these friends!

What Your Peanut Butter And Jelly Sandwich Means

Your eating style is reserved. You are a bit of a fussy eater, and you have very specific ways you like your food prepared.

You have an average sweet tooth. While you enjoy desserts, they aren't exactly your downfall.

Your taste in food tends to be quite eclectic and wide. You are an adventurous eater, and you like many types of cuisines.

Admit it, you're a little trashy and low class at times. You're definitely more comfortable at a tattoo parlor than the theater.

You never really grew up. While your childlike innocence is charming, you often just come across as a big baby.

Precise and controlled, you can be a bit anal retentive when it comes to how you like things. You're definitely a perfectionist.

Mom Rosing's Birthday!

It's Mom's Rosing birthday, my very nice and understanding mother-in-law whose like a mother to me also. A sweet granny to my kids, a very lovable mother to Ed and his siblings and a sweet mom-in-law to me. What more ca you ask for? I was truly blessed by our Lord in giving me such a nice and honest person for a biyenan. Others are having a hard time pleasing the mothers of their husband, doing everything just to please them but still some of them can't win the hearts of their husband's mothers.

We had pancit by Joeys to celebrate her birthday and for her 'long life' as always heard by Filipinos. Have given her a very formal and special peach blouse for her to wear on special occasions. She's a very simple woman and whatever I gave her she always treasures. A very appreciative woman also. My eldest daughter Ruth got her looks, they're like half apples lol! Pretty and bedimpled! All of my kids have dimples and they got it from her, strong blood!! I wish that she'll be happy always!

Bonifacio Day and Founding Anniversary

November and December 1 are our town's founding anniversary and town fiesta celebrated together with Bonifacio Day. Festive day for our town, celebrated with programs and parades all over the town. Yesterday was quite a long parade of townfolks, establishments, government and non-government organizations. The parade took about 2 hours, i think. I was quite amazed at the young motorists who showed some exhibitions yesterday, really young as they're around 4-5 years old only! have included some shots here! Well, got lots of pictures in my other blog Race Corner too!
