Myrn Is Here For A Month!

I was so happy when I saw Myrns' text message last Thursday asking me if I can meet her at our fave place. She went home for a a visit and to get an authenticated transcript and diploma to use in Australian job offer. She and her hubby are currently working in East Timor and someone hired them to work in Australia. They're so lucky the man hired them both. Myrns is one of my closest friends in my work in Design Science, Inc. and we shared happy and sad moments in our lives together.

Bless, Myrns and I dined at Greenwich pizza and lost track of the time as we talked about our condition here and their (Myrns and hubby Jhun) life in East Timor. Actually I found out that there's no social life there, they have many work to go to some other beautiful places. Anyway I've known the couple as simple guys, and I love them for that. One look at Myrns and you'll have to agree with me. She's as simple as ever unlike those who work and came from other countries. She'll be back in East Timor in a week and we scheduled one meeting with our friend Kelyn. Time was not enough as always, I really miss her you know! Will post picture later!

Pastor's Birthday

It's our pastor's birthday last August 12 (this is actually a late post)

We went to GMA Cavite last August 12 for our church pastor's birthday. We (hubby, me and Redge) filed our vacation leave and went with our brethren early in the morning. As always travel is filled with stories and laughter as we're with our church friends. We chose not to bring our car and just go with the majority using two jeepney. The jeep was jammed pack with us together with the small kids.

Upon getting there we started hellos and his and had some sharing with pastor. After a while I excused myself and leave the brothers to our pastor because my fellow sisters started preparing the food. I was the one who did the steam fish and it was a happy work for me as I love cooking. I stuffed the fish with oyster sauce and cheese. Other sisters prepared ingredients for white pansit and some other foods. The brothers were in-charge of lechon kawali.

We're finished before lunch and set the table for the occasion. It was a festive day for us and we thanked the Lord for giving us a very humble and understanding pastor who also stood by me in times of trouble giving me spiritual advices when I need one. Pastor smiled when he saw the big card that I've made for all of us to sign of course with our dear pastor's picture to complete the effect.

Linggo ng Wika

It's the celebration of Linggo ng Wika in Josh school and I have to take a leave off my work to assist him in all their programs and activities. School gave all parents program so all will be aware of the scheduled participation. Josh has some phrases to memorize and his experience in their last graduation's speech helped him a lot to be confident in facing the crowd and delivering his lines correct and clear.

It was a very hot day and we were all exposed to heat but the excitement of seeing their own kids in Filipino costume and dancing Filipino dances was much more overwhelming than the scorching heat. We reached the school with Josh wearing his barong but changed immediately upon learning that his dance 'magtanim ay di biro' will come first.

Final part is the group of kids with specific lines for national anthem (delivered by Josh), national animal, flower, plants, fish, national hero and many more. I was looking at all these kids and smiled to myself admiring them for delivering their particular lines clearly, they're really studying their lessons don't you think?

Caring For Your Skin

Having beautiful skin needs proper nutrition and maintenance to keep it supple and radiant. In the past people are using natural ingredients such as plants and other materials to protect their skin from dryness and aging. I even heard my granny mix up concoction of fruits and some elements to use as moisturizer or lotion. Some I heard was using calamansi extract to make their skin whiter and many other self-made natural skin care. Skin, the largest organ in our body can make you look really beautiful and healthy if properly cared for.

Almost every woman tried skin care products that would assure them of having youthful and radiant-looking skin but others just don’t know that some products can be harmful to their skin because of the chemical products present in some skin care products. I came upon online some good sites specializing in products that would give women enough choices for their specific requirements. But the real good sites are those that offer natural skin care products like astara skin care various products. They used natural foods, plant extracts and all-natural ingredients for skin repair, rejuvenation and protection because they believe that right nourishment, healthy diet and natural skin care products are the things needed in having a healthy and youthful skin.

Astaraskincare.com specializes in the creation of professional organic skin care products to meet all your needs. Whether you have oily, mature, dry skin, or are in need of a serious skin care products Astara skin care products can satisfy all your specific needs. Car Trouble

Early in the morning my hubby checked the car to see if the only trouble is in the gear box. Bro. Alex has scheduled his time early morning today to checkup on the car but was cancelled because hubby can’t take a leave off his work today. This brother that I mentioned always helps us every time the car shows some trouble, he’s a driver/mechanic for some years now and he knows a lot about his field.

After thorough checking hubby confirmed that the only trouble is in the gear box. I’m glad because that would mean extra expenses on us like when our car aircon failed to give out cool air we spent sizeable amount on our ac compressor. It’s good that way back then we found a good and reliable shop that gave us a very nice price quotation.

God's Protective Hands On Us

Sunday again and we’re busy preparing our things for this Sunday service fellowship, our service always lasts for hours until early evening covering morning fellowship and afternoon sharing of God’s word. As always hubby cleans and conditions the car checking each component if functioning properly. Suddenly when he was preparing the car for backing out in the garage our steering wheel lost its grip and missed control over the wheels. We’re just so glad that it happened when we’re still home and not on the road because it might bring us disaster.

We’re so thankful that God didn’t allowed that to happen. Hubby testified that in our church and when he said that ‘God is so good that He never let us run on the road with a defective car that can kill us all’ I was so blessed with the word. God is really good not only yesterday, not only today but ALL THE TIME …..

Baby Strollers

It’s always nice to have baby around the house especially the newborn babies which I love to cuddle and kiss. Their hands and face are soft like cotton and their eyes are very beautiful. You just have to be very careful in handling or carrying them because their little bodies are very delicate. It’s good if you have strollers where you can place them securely if you want to bring them around your garden when you want the sun shines on them early in the morning.
There are many designs available for your specific needs in the market. I was attracted by the Caboose Ultralight stroller that I’ve found online. Aside from being ultralight it has an organizer which is very helpful in storing some of your things while strolling your baby. It also has a car seat attachment which is essential while your family is traveling with your baby. In choosing for a good stroller you really must look for comfort and functionality.

Natural Diet Supplement

Maintaining a pleasant and healthy body needs a lot of self-discipline, time and effort. You need to program yourself into eating the right foods instead of eating only the foods that you want. For me I can go on vegetable and fruit diet anytime but I’m having trouble with my time. It takes time to prepare vegetable menus and fruits are not that satisfying or filling if you’re working hard. I’m not one of those women who could eat only fruits in a day; I need protein to sustain my energy level and to keep me going. Sometimes I want a natural diet supplement like customhrt phentermine alternatives to help lower my cholesterol and give me the results that I wanted from dieting. In this way I don’t have to worry about the effect of the diet pill.

It's been weeks actually when JennyL told me to signup but due to numerous due dates in blog and in my office works I was always on the go, no time for joining sites. But since Jen visited us last Aug. 19 to greet Ruth and Redge she persuaded me to join it.

Since I've seen plenty of unknown sites/blogs dropping into my blog I got so preoccupied that I nearly missed assignment with due dates. Oh my! I must not missed any of them! I need to save for Josh birthday!

It's Redge Birthday!

It's birthday again and this time around it's my one and only sister Redge who's also a blogger now. We didn't cooked anything as our whole attention was on my Mom who's well now but still recuperating from her sickness. Mom was happy that she's regaining her appetite little by little since yesterday night. I remember Mom's specialty recipes way back years when she was strong enough to cook plenty of foods for us during special occasions like birthdays.

For Redge birthday I concentrated on her domain blog who turns 3 months old last week. Time has passed so quickly since I convinced her to share her thoughts online and be like me, a workaholic blogger. Now I don't have to convince her as she's already hooked with blogging. In fact we're ready to apply her blog now.

And look what we had for a visitor, JennyL, my bestfriend and blogging mentor. The three of us excitedly laugh, chat and exchange blogging experiences as we eat snack-dinner together with my kids. We spent late afternoon drooling on one computer only visiting various sites.

Razer Mouse

Having PC and internet connection in the house has its advantages and disadvantages especially when it comes to kid discipline. It’s a big advantage that they can search their assignment and project in the confinement of our house compared to other kids who have to rent in Internet Café to do their assignment. The only headache in having internet connection is the possibility that children will have more time in the computer than really studying manually which is not that conducive to proper way of studying. As my Mom was a retired teacher, she still believes that conservative education and learning still plays a major part in the culmination of knowledge to students.

To have balance on this thing I discipline my kids to do their assignment on computer strictly on the things that really needed researching. When it comes to playing games and surfing I allowed them to do it on weekends to show them that I’m not so strict on them. I even planned on buying Razer mouse to make their computer usage faster and more convenient. And they're thankful for it!

My Ruth Turns 11 today!

It’s my Ruth’s 11th birthday and as I see her now I still can’t believe that she’ll grow faster than I ever imagine. She’s only an inch away from her Tita Redge and keeps on getting taller. Ruth and I were planning her birthday weeks ago, first plan was to celebrate it at their school but since it falls on a holiday we then planned to invite her friends at our house. Days before her birthday we decided to go malling and spend her birthday there because Ruth’s siblings voted also for going out to the mall.

My mom was sick since Sunday and because of this I just took my kids to the mall, let them play in their favorite Tom’s World, had some snack, shop for their clothes & shoes and bought foodie for birthday house celebration. I bought some foods for my Mom-those that she can eat now that she’s sick because lately she didn’t want to eat as her taste bud gone sour. I didn’t cook as our full attention was on my Mom so we bought the kids’ favorites-cakes, pizza, ice cream and chicken.

I heard Josh mumbling that he’s tired and wanted to go home to his granny (my Mom) so we finished everything and went back home. We’re just away for more than two hours and Mom was happy that we’re back; we set everything up and feasted on the food. Mom’s better now after our Pastor and my brother had her prayed over. Thanks God for healing her. I can celebrate my daughter’s birthday now with cheers as Mom is smiling now.

Fireplaces

Living in a tropical country all my life I didn’t find the need for a gas fire to keep us warm during winters as here in our place there’s only two season dry and wet season or you can also call it summer and rainy days. In the northern part of the country or most commonly known as the summer capital of this country they use fireplaces to keep them warm on very cold months. They use contemporary gas fires to add warmth to their bodies. My sister-in-law married an Englishman and for many years now lives in Great Britain.

On her yearly visits here she was telling me how important fireplaces are to them, it’s one of the basic component of every house there especially during heavy winter season. She and her kids would always love to sit in front of their gas fires and spent lazy afternoons bonding with each other. There are times that they’re confined to their homes because of too much snow.

Now we have the most modern technology even in fireplaces, I’ve browsed about fireplaces online and I’ve found Hotprice, a UK retailer of gas and electric fires. They offer extensive range of electric inset fire, wall mounted contemporary electric suites, inset gas fires, outset gas fires, wall mounted gas fires, and impressive collection of fireplaces in limestone, wooden or beautiful stone effect. When it comes to brands they also have the leading brands of fireplace manufacturers in varied styles. I was particularly interested in power flue gas fire which is designed for homes without flue or chimney. I was also glued to their collection of electric fires which for me are the most comfortable and convenient like the hang-on-the-wall electric fire which is very flexible and you can save a lot of space in your room.

Actually my sister-in-law was now planning to change her current gas fire into electric fire as she finds it more adequate to their house. She’s now choosing the style that she wants and contemplating on a very modern kind. No need to worry about the cost as they have a price match guarantee which assures the buyer of the best deals in the market.

We need friends for many reasons,
all throughout the season.
We need friends to comfort us
when we are sad,
and to have fun with us when we are glad.

We need friends to give us good advice,
We need someone we can count on,
and treat us nice.

We need friends to remember us
one we have passed

Debt Elimination

Almost all employees I know have at least one or two credit cards which they use for buying clothes, groceries and many other things. It’s been a practice to use credit card payments on some purchases than cash. Anyway it has advantages and disadvantages and one good advantage is you never have to bring cash which eliminate the danger of robbers getting your money. On the other hand it has many disadvantages as people tend to use these cards as their credit accessory. Sometimes you’re spending too much on one item and you never noticed you’re over spending habit until such time that the bills come to you afterwards and you came to realize you have to manage debt or else you’ll be saddled with debts that could take all of your monthly earnings.

That’s the worst scenario you’ll ever encounter in your life – living in debt! To prevent this you have to manage your finances carefully. You have to start budget recovery which will start in setting up priorities which means buying only what’s essential like food and clothing. Your loans or bills must not exceed what you have been receiving every payday because that would really give you a headache. That’s why it’s very necessary to get the services of professional adviser to help you in debt elimination. In this way you’ll gain a lot from their tips and advices on how to manage debt and finances.

There’s one way of totally controlling and eliminating debt and that’s learning how to do it and whom to talk to. If you’re really serious about this thing you can negotiate debt on your own effort and knowledge. But first you should review your monthly income, study on your budget and come up with a list of basic necessities to buy. Then talk to your creditor and propose a setup that would benefit you both. There’s a big chance that you’ll be given a chance to pay off your debts in smaller monthly payment with lower interest rates. If everything fails then seek help from debt consolidation company who will advice you on so many things about freeing yourself from debts.

Gifts for Child Dedication

It’s payday today and I planned to come home earlier than usual as I find it necessary every payday. People tend to assess that every working human in this planet has plenty of money every payday and it’s a little bit dangerous to snatchers. Anyway as I will sponsor two babies in our church in our child dedication on Sunday I’ll have to really be early to have time for choosing gifts for them. I’ll be sponsoring or witnessing Ryza and Phillip’s dedication or in other religion they call it baptism.

It’s always easier for me to choose gifts for girls as I have two daughters. I’ve rounded up the babies’ section and twist and turn to every little cute items but I settled for Snoopy clothes for the baby boy and a little pink jumper dress for the baby girl. I’ll just have to think of accessories to complete the whole thing. Florence was with me and I must admit I really admired her patience for this. She bought blouse for Nicole, her 5-year old daughter and we exchanged ideas on the style and colors of the clothes we’ve chosen. After the gifts I transferred to other section and bought pants for Josh and pink blouses for my girls, it’s gonna be Ruth’s birthday on Monday and when I buy clothes for the celebrant I also buy clothes for my other two kids. It’s been my practice ever since that’s why they love having birthdays.

Credit Repair

Our good name and reputation are things that we usually care about owing to the fact that no matter what happened in your life if your reputation remains good you’ll be remembered also as a good man. A good name and reputation will vanish if you’ll be saddled by numerous unpaid credit cards or multiple loans. Better be careful in handling your finances because if not you’ll be facing life with bad credits. But what would happen if you have such a bad credit report? Of course you’ll have to consult knowledgeable person or read and browse on sites that would give credit repair tips because if you don’t do something about your bad credit score you will get rejection on your loans.

A credit report is your score that reflects your credit standing including your current credit, loans and many others. You need to improve your credit rating because it will affect your future loan applications and the interest rates that go with it. Sometimes there are credit report errors like reporting of wrong accounts, debt that are paid in full are not updated in record and many others. Worst thing is you don’t know these errors until you have a need to use your credit report and your loan applications are rejected due to bad credit report. It’s good that fair credit reporting act takes care of these things and protect the rights of the consumers.

If you really have a bad credit standing it’s time that you should be thinking of repairing it. It’s hard to do it but you’ll benefit from having a good credit name in the future. Well to start with you should handle your finances carefully and start setting up your expenditure priorities which means that you’ll have to review your monthly budget. If you don’t really need a certain commodity then don’t buy it, purchase goods and things that you really need. If you can’t afford it don’t pine for it. What you can save from your wise budgeting can be used to pay off your debts. You’ll soon be free from debt and you’ll regain your good credit name.

Scuba Diving Lessons

Many people want to explore the underwater world because of its mystery and breathtaking beauty. I myself always wanted to see films and documentaries about coral reefs, various species living in the underwater and the overall beauty that lies beneath the ocean. If you want to see for yourself the actual underwater you’ll have to learn scuba diving lessons to prepare yourself with the skills and knowledge needed for diving.

A friend who recently got interested in scuba diving wanted to enroll in a course specifically catering to amateur divers. This interest lead to me to search for scuba diving lessons Arizona
which I found very engaging. Their lesson starts not in the open water itself but on their own indoor heated pool. Ultimate Dive and Travel’s site discussed the three simple steps in starting the Open Water Diver Course which consists of academic training, confined water skills training and lastly the Open Water certification in the open water certification for open water environment.

If you’re interested enough and really gearing up to do some scuba diving you can search the net for Ultimate Dive and Travel and be one of those people who enrolled in scuba diving lessons Scottsdale. There they can teach you with the things and skills necessary like how much weight can you get or knowing the contents of spare kit and many techniques and rules on diving underneath. There are many courses available and you can easily check their calendar online. Rest assured they have all you need for your gear and equipment requirements at a competitive price. Visit their site and choose from among their selection of classes and courses package.

Started My Exercise Today!

I promised myself that I would really allot some time to start my daily exercise. I’m a workaholic person and very busy with household chores around the house when I’m home but I guess you don’t count that as real exercise. I don’t have the time to spare for gym workout so I told myself I’d better be doing it on my own house. Finally I was able to start my sit ups and some exercise that forced me into slight jumping. I started easy because I’ve neglected exercise for some months and I don’t want myself to limp the whole day because of too much sit ups. It happened to me last year when I forced myself to start heavy. I know I should do it easy and will make it harder each day. It feels good even when I’m doing it while I’m cooking lol! My kids were kidding me that their chicken is overcooked already (joke only). Nice start for me and I was happy that I finally did it again.

Eliminate Debt In Your Life

Almost all people now have credit cards, housing loans, personal loans and many different loans from private people and to the bank. We live in a modern world of high level financing that leads us to indulge on so many things that force us to live on credits. For me having too many credit cards is a temptation itself as many people don’t know how to manage their income properly and rely on credit cards to sustain their needs. This attitude and bad finance practice leads them to bankruptcy and on some who have loans with collateral they suffered foreclosure. But what is really the proper way of handling your finance to totally eliminate debt in your life? Even though it’s really hard to rise from the debt burdens there are ways on how you can manage your budget properly.

If we have desire in our heart to be free from debt we should be able to think of solutions on how and where we could get some help. As our personal instinct we think of family to help us through this hard moment or rich friends to borrow money from. But if they can’t provide us enough help to free ourselves of debt there are companies who can help us in eliminating debt professionally. Of course alongside our desire to pay all our debts we need to have some goals and objectives so we can have patterns to follow, sacrifice is also needed. We need to realize and do a lot of thinking what are our basic needs and priorities so we can eliminate too much spending on things that we don’t really need.

We can get the services of debt consolidators but be very careful in choosing the right company. They should be able to roll all your loans and debt into one big loan only with a good creditor and with minimal service fees and rates. I came upon eliminatedebt.org and I was so glad to read a lot of advice, tips and ways on how we can manage finances and how to choose the right debt consolidation company that will help you in starting up your debt management. Choosing the right company to help you is very vital as it will eventually give you financial freedom and brighter future.

A Good Steering System

We were driving through Cavite to go to our dear Pastor to greet him on his birthday and celebrate it with him when I remember the steering gear of our owner-type jeepney. This owner-type jeepney which we were using a few years back before we acquire our second-hand Nissan Sentra is so shoddy that hubby fined it hard driving on expressways. We all know that steering system is a major part of a car and a good steering gearbox is important to make your driving easier, manageable and safer. After all drivers should be thinking of safe driving all the time so it’s best to have a good, quality and functional steering system all the time.

Well with this in mind I always browse sites for car parts to look for the best suppliers and the most affordable price. I came upon discountsteering.com which offers a wide variety of high quality steering rack and pinion units and steering gear box at very affordable prices; they even sell it at wholesale prices. All you have to do is look for the parts that you need and you can be assured they have it on their stock. Remember to look for the best steering gear that does not bind or leak because it will define your driving skills and you’ll enjoy driving.

Discount Steering offers good service and you can call toll free at 800-617-4492 if ever your specific needed parts are not available on their stock. Just be descriptive about the parts you’re looking for to help them get it correctly. So whether you’re looking for a power steering box, a power steering rack, a manual steering box or manual steering rack you’re sure to have and afford it. Check them out now!

Birthday Gift Plans

My sister’s birthday is fast approaching it’s actually next week and I’m thinking now what I should be giving her for a birthday present. It’s certainly is easy for sure because she likes almost everything from bags to shoes to clothes. But I’ve been giving her those things almost every year and I want some change this time. I’ve been browsing a lot these days and found some nice Nautica watches that I think would perfectly fit her small wrist. I’m not decided yet but those watches really took my attention because of the styles and the discounts available.

Girl Scouts’ Activities

It was a very busy day as I’ve been with my kids on their Girls Scout All Age Activities Program the whole day. It was a program set by the whole province of Rizal and some towns in Metro Manila like Pasig, Marikina and San Juan. It’s a yearly affair for Girl Scouts of the Philippines and we regularly hold it at Pasig Capitol but this time the venue is at SM Event Center in Taytay. One look at the place and I knew it can’t possibly housed all attendees and after one hour of staying there the managing team of GSP decided to separate Star Scouts from Juniors and Seniors. Star Scouts stayed in the Event Center inside SM while Juniors and Seniors transferred to Parking Area at the basement.

It’s not comfortable there and the speakers were not audible so we just stayed there and participated in some of the activities but the sense of fulfillment of the activities were not felt by the attendees. And since it’s in the mall I just took consolation that at least we can choose any food or restaurant we want. I brought along Josh so he can make some relaxing and strolling at the mall and he’s very happy about it. He ate with gusto at McDonald with his favorite fried chicken and so are his siblings, his two sisters Ruth and Gen.

We finished all activities then I let them roam around the mall taking notes that they particularly likes to enter bookstores like National Bookstore and Precious Pages where there are educational toys and books available for my kids’ age level. Of course they played arcade games in Quantum. Last stop was in the SM Hypermart so I can still have my regular marketing. We’re all very tired when we got home.

Plans For Myself

As I have already filed my resignation two months ago and is currently extending my stay in my work due to my employer’s request I’ve been thinking these days what to do after my resignation. Actually I’m not even sure how long would my extension will be as there’s no one to replace me as of this day. There are applicants but we still haven’t picked anyone. I’m planning that when the time comes that my boss will finally agree that I may be released from my work I will be thinking of a small business aside from paid blogging. I’ve been reading a lot and I browsed about futures trading which is also an opportunity but I really haven’t decided yet what kind of business will I finally settle in.

Accepting The Fact

As my vehicle going home is so slow in moving I saw in details how the people in my neighborhood has slowly trying to accept the fact that they really has to move back. Some garment shop tried to finish orders from them and took advantage of every single day that their areas were not given last deadline of moving back. It’s their only source of living and after the clearing they will be transferred to another business location.

As the days go by the houses who are less affected gets cleared first to initiate fast clearance works. We’ve been doing some reminders for my mom because she’s the one who will instruct the workers on the restoration works. I just called her now from my office and they started to clear our walls and gate now.

Child Dedication

There’ll be a mass child dedication of four babies in our church and one of them asked me to sponsor her baby girl, actually we call sponsors as witnesses. I’ll be sponsoring the granddaughter of our Pastor in the church. Baby Ryza is so cute and you’ll surely like her when you talk to her as she’s so bubbly, she’s 6 months old now. I’ve been thinking of what will I give her on her dedication and decided to shop for baby clothes that will fit her age and looks. On almost all my godsons and goddaughters I always give clothes as gift because I’m so fond of looking and shopping clothes for babies.

It simply escaped my mind not to bring food as there’s birthday today in the office. Anyway since it’s not the usual rice and viand I could still eat my food later in the afternoon. Breakfast – No coffee again, Chicken breast only

Lunch – Lechon Manok and half rice, pancit (I’ve picked vegetables to lessen the guilt)

I’ve been reading a lot about losing weight and it gives me headache to read all those write ups that sometimes mislead the reader into buying products that didn’t work positively on them. Lirio's Birthday!

It’s Lirio’s birthday today and since yesterday we’ve been thinking what would we have for her birthday. Since she doesn’t like cake much and the only cake she likes is chocolate mousse we ordered one in Red Ribbon. You know if you really want to please the celebrant it’s best to give what you think is her preferred flavor. Anyway I know Lirio will say that it’s not that important as the thoughts count most. We also ordered pancit canton as traditionally served on Filipino birthdays as they say “for long life”. To complete our eat-together lunch Lirio ordered lechon manok and softdrinks then rice was cooked here to enjoy newly fresh cooked rice. What a lunch! I ate rice even if it’s my second day diet plan today. You know if it’s a birthday you’re excused lol!

Corner TV Stands

Hubby did some general cleaning of the house and as I can’t carry anything heavy because of my operation he just did it by himself. He always did it at night because he has only one day off for the whole week and he devote it for our Sunday fellowship service. Our house is really big that’s why we need a lot of time for thorough cleaning of the house. Every time we do general cleaning we get to find house equipment and appliances that needs repair or replacement. Well, I need corner tv stands so I’ll have more space in my living room. Got to find some nice tv stands online now so I can have variety of choices.

Orly Came Home For A Short Vacation

My nephew Orly, son of my first cousin Ka Duneng in Laguna came home from his work in Qatar. They informed us that he’ll be here for a short vacation this August. He arrived last Saturday August 2 but we’re busy with a lot of things scheduled weeks before that we didn’t find the time to go to our hometown in Laguna. My Mom and I are a little sad that we can’t go home because Orly is one of my mom’s favorite apo but we don’t have a choice as we’re also busy with the clearing works done by Public Works and Highways. I keep on thinking that I should really have more time to accommodate more activities, hope Orly understands! Anyway by now I’m sure he’s thinking of dropping by in our house! I also missed his chocolates!

New Business in the Province

Got a call from my uncle in Laguna, they’re proposing a small business that they like to open in middle of this month. He likes to suggest to my mom to invest a little capital for it. I’m so curious about what they’re going to sell in their store so I persuaded him to tell it to me first before my mom as I’m the one he’s talking to. Anyway my mom will also suggest that I’ll be the one to manage it instead of her. My uncle told me that he’s planning to sell cattle supplies in our town because there’s a great demand for it in many areas there. It would be nice to have a store for cattle and other animal supplies because we have many prospective buyers there, actually the whole town will be our customers because there’s no cattle supplies’ store there.

Diet Day One

I’ve started another attempt of dieting yesterday and I’m still searching and thinking of other ways to completely rid of some temptations to avoid foods with fat and too much salt. I’ve started with having these foods yesterday:

Breakfast – Oatmeal, I’ve avoided coffee and instead had one glass of water

Lunch - Wheat bread with tuna flakes

Afternoon snack – (can’t avoid when you’re working in an office) Wheat bread with tuna flakes, taken before 6 pm to avoid being hungry at night lol!

Dinner - Banana

Rap's Investigatory Report

Bro was here, they need to create an email address for Ate Mariz for a new business venture they’ve been entering. They’re still waiting for their PLDT DSL connection up to now. When Rap (my nephew) learned that his parents were here he asked them to research an investigatory project for him as his teacher gave him a new topic instead of the usual soap-making project. Together we searched for the process used in making vegetable oil as fuel for car. We immediately found what we’re looking for and in 10 minutes time we had it ready for Rap.

I got interested in what we researched, set aside my blogging and read the making of fuel out of vegetable oil. It’s true and I’m going to write some specific details about it on my next post. I’m going to sleep now to recover from my overnight blogging yesterday.

She Loves Sightseeing

My architect friend Jacqui has been invited by her sister to spend a three-month vacation in New York and she was very excited at the invitation. She turned over her work as a resident architect of a 5-storey building in Quezon City to a mutual friend of ours. Anyway our mutual friend is an engineer so handling of her projects didn’t seem to be that hard when she finally left her work for New York.

My friend has been dieting at that time and the only thing that she didn’t like in her sister’s house is the kind of food available there. She likes fish and the only fish readily available in their place are frozen so she didn’t have much choice in food. Since she can’t continue her no-pork no-beef diet her sister asked her to join in New York City Sightseeing so she’ll have more time roaming around the city and less time in the house to avoid eating too much. She joined the sightseeing tours by CitySights, a known company which provides hop-on, hop-off bus tours which uses top-deck only seats so you’ll get to see beautiful views of New York City and its attractions. They also offer sightseeing packages with museum visits, helicopter tours, harbor cruises, shopping day trips and motorcoach trips.

My friend called me up and told me that her vacation was superb. She had the chance of seeing Statue of Liberty, Top of the Rock, Empire State Building, Uptown and Downtown and Manhattan City, you know an architect really loves seeing magnificent houses and buildings. I was happy to know that she had a wonderful sightseeing vacation in New York.

Clearing Away

DPWH workers started the clearing and construction works since Monday but I think they are assessing reactions of the people the reason why their works are slow. After three days of their clearing works I've found only 4 compounds which have finished the clearing. Some of my neighbors are really hesitant to clear their properties because that would mean the start of their zero sales for their businesses.

Since my brother is living in another barangay I've asked him to go to the house and instruct the DPWH team as to what they should do with our stonewalls and gate, clear instruction should be given to ensure that proper restoration will be done. Our neighbors keep on telling us that we're really lucky that my father did a great house plan when he renovated our house in the late '70s. Our house is the only one in our place that has a 5-meter setback which allowed us now to have a little more space remaining for a garden or store after the widening.

Beautiful Mailboxes and Address Plaques

What makes us happy everyday? It’s in knowing that a lot of people love us no matter who we are and what our status in life is. It’s in knowing that somewhere and somehow people are thinking of us in a sweet and thoughtful ways. That’s why communication is very important in our lives. I remember when I was in high school that letters in our mailboxes makes me happy because I’ve got mails from my distant friends and relatives living in the province. It’s what you call the power of communication, you know a single letter can make a sick man get well, an angry fellow to relax, a lonely man happy and sometimes a war to freeze.

Mailboxes are very important to me and I searched for stylish residential mailboxes that would look good in our house. I’ve found Mailbox and Beyond, a site which offers mailboxes, address plaques and signs, garden hose holders, personalized doormats, doorbells and a lot more. I’m particularly eyeing some whitehall products for our house because they are 20% larger than other mailboxes and made from die cast rust free aluminum.

You should also see their wide selection of address house signs, address markers, wedding plaques and personalized address plaques with personalized street and house numbers on it. Many people love having elegant and beautiful mailbox and address plaques as they’re a welcome site on their front yard especially if the styles and design blend beautifully with the garden. So if you need one for your house just visit their site and you’ll enjoy choosing from their selection of mailboxes, plaques, posts and many other products

Baby Things For You

Babies are like angels and whenever there’s one or two in the family they're definitely the source of happiness. I’ve been pregnant for three times and each pregnancy always brought excitement to my family including my mom and my siblings. Before giving birth we kept ourselves busy with choosing baby things for the coming new member of the family. It’s easy to shop for the little things like baby bottles, little dresses or shirts and accessories but it took me a much longer time or days to decide on which baby pushchairs to choose for my dear little one. I have to be sure that it’s the best quality, brand, size style and color that I want. After all, whatever I will choose it will be passed on to my other upcoming babies.
I prefer baby things with quality and style because it will endure time and usage. I’ve been amazed with shopping online lately and had some thoughts that if it’s available few years ago I wouldn’t have a hard time picking the right pram for my baby. It’s easier to search, browse, canvass and buy online. I got even more excited when I browsed BabyThings4u because I’ve found wide selection of the strollers, pushchairs and prams for the little one.
I have a friend who is pregnant now and I’ve been helping her choose things for her second baby. She’s very particular with brands and she’s happy to know that babythings4u offers strollers, prams, pushchair and other baby equipment in top brands such as Chicco, Graco, Obaby and Hauck. Actually she wants Graco because she’s satisfied with her first child equipment. With these brands available at them they offer it at a very low price. For those who are looking for something cheap and very affordable they also have it. So visit their site now and start choosing the perfect baby equipment for your dear little one. Rest assured your order will be hassle free with their best customer service.
