New Changes in EC

I've just received an email from EC, an info update on the new changes that management will implement next month. The letter stated that there will be changes in giving ec credits to the recipient. Starting next month the credit will only be given to the dropper unlike the present rule that both the dropper and recipient gets one credit for each drop. Oh well I'm just relieved because I was anticipating a worse situation. Thanks that it's just a small issue, but then again is it small?

Here's their advisory:

We hope that you have been pleased with Entrecard’s progress. The management team has been working hard to improve Entrecard and we thank you for your patience. We have noticed that the total number of Entrecard credits in the system has grown rapidly. This has been due to the fact that more credits are being created than credits are leaving the system. If this inflation continues, Entrecard credits will be worth less and less. To ensure a stable credit economy and reduce the outstanding credits, Entrecard will no longer give Entrecard credits to the person receiving a drop. In other words, instead of awarding 2 credits for each drop (one to the dropper and one to the blog site owner), only 1 credit will be given to the dropper. This change will be effective September 1, 2009 and will last until further notice.

We have explored many other options to deflate the credit economy and we have found this route to be the easiest and fairest way to resolve the problem for the time being. While this may seem like a set back, it has its advantages. In the long run, the prices to advertise on blogs will decline making advertising more affordable.

While we recognize your concerns, please understand that it is one of our goals to have a healthy Entrecard credit economy. This is a huge change we're making and we will continue to monitor the credit economy. We will continue to make changes as necessary to accommodate a healthy Entrecard economy. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Some Household Needs

It’s always nice to have more free time in the house, this way you’ll have time to arrange or rearrange house to your heart’s desire. I really enjoyed my new status now as a work-at-home mom because I’m the manager of my own house and I can fit in various house jobs in shorter time. Since my daughters are old enough they help me every now and then with small minor tasks in the house. Now as I’m trying to rearrange appliances I noted the ones that need repairs like the old wooden cabinets, kitchen cabinet and many others. After the rearrangement I realized that I’ll shall need tv stands also to organize things up. Of course I’ve searched online for this and quite satisfied with my finds.

I've started with white then pink flowers now this peach orchids I've found in my bestfriend's garden when I dropped by her place. Actually JennyL told me to take a shot on their orchids so I can post it on this weekly meme of beautiful flowers. I like the color of this orchid, something like peach with shades cascading to light yellow color with a red center bloom. I forgot to ask the name of this one so I just called it the peach orchid.

Happy Monday! Visit more beautiful flowers at Today's Flower => here.

Sharing Responsibilities

Running a household is not a simple task and now that I’m a work-at-home Mom I’m officially full time with my whole household. When I was working in office I was so busy that some chores that I failed to finish will be continued by my dear hubby because his office schedule was an hour later than mine. He was so supportive that he never let me handle all household tasks just because I’m the woman in the house.

Ever since we got married several years ago he shared responsibilities with household tasks, those tasks that he thinks will be harder to women or the ones that will affect my health. Now he didn’t stopped from doing what he used to do but I limit those to minimum work as I have more time now to concentrate managing our house. There are just some tasks that women can’t do or hesitant to do like fixing faucets which doesn’t seem to last for a year or fixing the car. And to that I put full responsibility to my husband.

Relaxing Vacation Thoughts

When I see couples who are planning and saving money for their marriage I remember the times that hubby and I were equally busy with wedding preparations. We were so in love that all seems exciting and we never felt the hardships and pressures of wedding. When I looked back at the occasion I think our friends and relatives were more stressed and nervous than we were at that time. We were so thankful that they helped us with every single detail in invitation, giveaways, flower arrangement, gowns, menu and reception. I was so happy that day not only with getting married with the man I love most but with the thought that many people love us to care so much how our wedding will turn out.

Now that we’re married for thirteen years we’re still the same person who is in love with each other, more matured and responsible. Sometimes we find it hard to relax and spend the day with just the two of us because of work pressures, household activities and children’s demand on us. On more relaxing days we’re planning to have a vacation that will free us from everyday hustle and bustle. We would love to spend few days away from work and home just like a romantic vacation riviera maya which offers best accommodation packages with good services not just for the hotel you’ll be staying but also with gourmet foods you’ll surely love. It’s always peaceful to spend a lazy afternoon sitting on white-sand beaches with scenic views ahead. I know I would be feeling relaxed, stress-free and romantic with my hubby beside me.

Two Tiring But Happy Days

It’s been a very busy week for me as we have two birthdays in the family this week. Ruth had her birthday last Tuesday and my sister Redge on the following day. Since I’m the official cook of the family I cooked for two days for their birthdays and also for our hosting in our weekly bible study. All in all I was really tired and my feet were aching due to prolonged standing. That’s the common sickness of cooks.

After two days I find myself resting and napping despite numerous tasks online. After all I really want that much-needed vacation which I promised myself last month just like my friend’s Vegas vacations last year. She’s staying with her sister in NYC but went to Vegas for some fun. She always wanted some recreational activities and vacation.

:Thursday Challenge - Curved (Office Desk)

"CURVED" (Roads, Buildings, Shapes, Bowed, Arch, Bubbles,...)

Well I have here an office cubicle and front desk table for an entry. Modern offices seems to use every space available that's why they have many curves to maximize areas. Anyway the purpose is not merely to maximize but for good presentation also as it looks very nice and corporate.

Josh Loves Books!

Josh is so fond of reading books, magazines and everything that he has in his school things’ cabinet. I place and store all of his school books, notebooks, writing pads, crayons, pencils and every items connected to his learning studies and we call it school cabinet. It’s good to have just one cabinet for all his items in school so even little items won’t be hard to find when needed. Now that he’s going to turn 6 next month I’m reviewing some books for additional reading and learning materials for him as I find it a waste not to give Josh as much books as he want as he really wants it.

He excels in his class not because of being a genius type but I think more of the high enthusiastic level that he has. Anything that he’s not familiar of he makes it a point to study. He always recites in their class and seemingly knows all of the lessons easily. He’s very patient and organized when it comes to studying and he wants to prepare his scheduled everyday. Now we’re reviewing some phonics book not for the school assignment but for his satisfaction only. He just loves books.
