My New Blog - My Crossroads

I've been busy these past few days with my new domain blog, created through the inspiration of this personal blog about memorable journeys of my life. My new online diary 'My Crossroads' depicts much about my career, my struggle with my work and the ups and downs that I've experienced in playing my role as efficient employee, a good daughter and a responsible and loving mother to my kids and hubby, squeezing in my new-found love in cooking, baking and blogging. And through all these roles in my life I trust the Lord to help me in all my decisions and defining moments in my life.

Hope you can visit and leave some love on me at My Crossroads.

Discount Apparel

I’ve been thinking these days of a good business that will really make a hit in the market. You know in starting up a business you have to consider many things. You have to think of the product you want to sell if it’s a basic commodity or a necessity, a product that’s only for hobbyist, for students and for so many reasons. If you want high-end customers you have to offer designer things but if you want to reach the average people you have to think of selling cheap and discounted products. With this in mind I searched for wholesale clothing suppliers which will give me quality and affordable products. Price is very important if you want to enter the world of selling, it’s a kind of strategic approach.

Now with this newly browsed site Merchandize Liquidators I think I’ve finally found the supplier which will give us wholesale prices for our urban and designer apparel requirements. They cater to wholesalers, stores and anyone who requires or needs items in bulk orders. Their prices are really low; it’s even below the wholesale cost. This is a great help for business enthusiast like me, it makes me decide that wholesale clothing is a lucrative business. With their wide variety of children, women and men’s urban and designer clothing with brand names that’s so popular in the market you’ll have plenty of choices. I could also add up some of their products too like toys, electronics and many more discounted items. In this present economic crisis people are more careful in deciding and buying things, they always want quality products at an affordable price. So maybe this is an answer to what I’ve been thinking about.

An Award For You

This award came Nanay Belen, a new blogger friend. Thanks Belen for this nice and warm award! Truly appreciate this!

Belen's post about his son Joshua who is a singer in his church caught my attention. I think they're so close and sweet and I remember my own son who happens to have the same name as his son. My 4-year old son Josh as we fondly call him loves to sing also and I have this advance thinking that Josh will also be a musician and song leader someday in our fellowship. That's a very nice thought and I know God knows it.

Anyway about this I Love You This Much Award I'll be passing it of course to my bes JennyL, to my real life sister Rhedge, and my blogger sisters Emzkie, JennyR, Leonore, Lutchi and Tere.

Need Extra Seats For Your Guests?

We’re a family that loves entertaining people; we always invite people to join us on birthdays, anniversaries and some special occasions. But entertaining people should be given enough preparation so your guests will be fully satisfied. You should provide extra seating because you’ll never really know the numbers of your guests so it’s good to have some counter stools on your house for this. It will definitely take up lesser space than the usual extra sofas or other big chairs. With these counter stools entertaining people can be more fun and hassle-free.

When it comes to choosing barstools I always search for Premiere Barstools as they cater to average and upper class customers. They are the leading source of online shopping for various barstools you’ll need for your house. After all it’s always convenient to upgrade your house with counter stools, extra tall stools and kitchen stools as it will not consume large space. I for one want contemporary kitchen bar stools to maximize my small kitchen and to add some fun designs on it to make it lovelier. I know I can add some more because Premiere Bar Stools are so affordable, they offer their products in good prices.

What I like about their products is that they provide variety of selection that you’ll not be asking for more. It doesn’t matter what style, color, texture, material or size you have in mind because they could fit it in all your requirements. If you want extra tall stools just search for their selection which ranges from 34-36 inches, a lot taller than the standard size. So whatever your moods and needs are, whether you want these bar stools for just style, décor, extra seating or for functional use just visit their site and I’m sure you’ll be happy with their products. You don’t have to worry if you’re not satisfied because they offer a 30-day no questions asked return policy. Now that’s really a good deal, imagine quality bar stools at an affordable price with a 30-day guarantee! It’s perfect!

The Red Mark

As I'm on leave today I happened to be the one to personally receive the formal letter of Public Works and Highways about the impending demolition or the clearing (as they mildly put it) of establishments within the 15m 'red mark'. They're giving the notice per lot and officer told me assumingly that whatever damage it may cause our existing establishments be it a post, wall or tapered stores and houses they will store it to livable and orderly condition. That's a positive word that I happily accepted wishing it will be put into works. Anyway I'll put my trust that they will do it as our Mayor reassuringly told me last Saturday that they will not run from it. Another nice word. For now I believe them. I've taken some pictures of the houses that will be affected and a view of the Bonifacio Avenue, why? Actually I'm getting sentimental these days and I just want to have a picture memory of our old barangay before the widening.

The Price of Modernization

The rehabilitation of our road triggered different emotions in my town mates as it would affect their life – their houses and source of income. Some were hysterical and can’t control their frustrations and anger with the resolved General Appropriations Act given by Malacañang but the fact is ‘we don’t have any choice’. Government will not pay a single cent to the affected land areas as they say the 4-5 meters setback was written in our land title, they will only pay for the square meters that will exceed the mentioned setback. At the end of the meeting my town mates realized that they need to follow with much sorrow in their hearts. With the present economic crisis that our country is facing now this is a follow up blow on my neighbors.

Even if our house was not affected because my father had planned the widening generations ago when he renovated the old house I felt the worries and sadness of my town mates which includes a lot of my cousins, aunties and close relatives. Our ancestors are the original residents here and it’s sad to think that some of our neighbors would be losing their sari-sari store and commercial rent business. It was just a consolation that our mayor made DPWH promised that they will restore or reconstruct all that will be affected.

But that will not solve the future problem of lost monthly income and habitation. Is this the price of modernization?
