Need To Get Back!

Lately I feel I’m gaining weight little by little again, maybe because I came back to work a month ago. Some of my friends in the church told me that sitting for a long period of time gets you out of shape. This can be true because working in an office sometimes requires you to stay in your place longer especially if you’re concentrating on finishing some projects.

My mom always reminds me to stand and walk a little at least before an hour strikes on the clock. She said it will help me exercise my limbs a little and free my stomach and hips from being on the same position. Oh well I was thinking maybe I should get a job that will require me to stand and walk for a long time but what kind of job would that be? Or maybe I should try some diet pill to remedy my excess weight faster than I imagined.

There are more ways than one to get back into shape and I know plenty of exercise and balanced meal plan will do justification but the most important of all is discipline. Everything will follow and materialize if I will discipline myself on many things like I should sleep at least 6 hours, I should avoid too much coffee and sweets and I should return to my walking exercises that I used to do. Last is – I should remind myself everyday about this plan.

School Again!

My two girls were back to school again early this week the first day of the month. Though I heard some of the kids nearby were so hesitant to start schooling again Ruth and Gen were so excited that first day. They've prepared their things a week before the classes start and they woke up early to welcome their first day. I always go with them on their first day to see their new school rooms, their classmate friends and their set of teachers. I want their advisers to see how I support my kids. On that morning I get to see my co-parents friends, my friends since my kids were in first grade and we're all intact up to this time. A little sad that we've only two years left to be with each other, before our kids will enter high school. For now we'll just enjoy our company.

This is Shaina, my granddaughter to my first cousin. This shot was taken during my Mom's birthday last Saturday. They came all the way from Famy, Laguna and little did I know that this very cute one year old baby loves posing for pictures! She's quite a handful and a perfect model for me!

:Today's Flowers #42

I got my entry from our church flowers yesterday, I picked only six of the beautiful carnations bouquet and took my shot. I find these flowers so pretty and cute with its combination of white and pink lined blooms. I'm always drawn to white and pink flowers because they exude innocence. Flowers are undeniably pretty!

Best Gift Ever!

This is a special day for us as we're celebrating 77th birthday of our dearest mother. This is also a special thanksgiving to God for bringing back the vision in her eyes. Only God can make blind see and that's what He did to our Mom. It's the best gift that God has given my Mom in all her life, not only on making her see the world in her eyes again but the knowledge that God has again proved His love for her! Happy Birthday Mom! We love you!

:WW - Blue Lights

Just happened to like these blue lights in SM when we shopped last Sunday! It's really beautiful when you're near. The lights changes its color to red and green but I didn't have the chance to take a nice shot as the place is overcrowded! People here were viewing one celebrity who was doing some shows on the ground level.

A Charming Kitchen

I’ve been looking at my kitchen for several days now and was thinking of a slight make over or renovation. I love cooking and whenever I have time to experiment on new recipes I really indulge my time. I spend lots of time in the kitchen where I cook all the meals of my family and learn some new things about baking.

Yes I’m into baking right now and I’m planning to enroll in a class to specialize on crinkles and brownies. Because I’m always in that particular area of the house I want it to be spotlessly clean and must exude a warm and cozy ambience. I wanted to add a touch of the conservative kitchen we had several years ago when our house was still Spanish-inspired.

First and foremost I want to revive the appeal of that old kitchen by changing my kitchen sinks. I’ve been searching for the kind that would appeal and found copper kitchen sinks which suits my taste well enough. I also learned that it’s antibacterial so it’s perfect for me. I’m looking forward to having it in my kitchen and I’ll be changing some furniture to match the old charming look of the copper sinks. That way I’ll be more inspired to try out delicious recipes.

I've picked my entry from the flowers that you often see on the sides of the road or just a simple backdrop ornaments on the sides of the garden. They're the small petite flowers that we sometimes forgot to take a second look because they're just too tiny and small to notice. I was quite happy with my shots because it brings out the best of the ordinary small blooms.
