This beautiful vivid color blooms is quite like a family of cactus if you happen to notice their leaves and one of my office mates told me that indeed the cactus-like leaves is somewhat poisonous. I still haven't researched the veracity of the information I heard but for this time I'll just enjoy looking at these lovely flowers.

Happy start of the week and if you want to start this week with a good one visit more beautiful flowers at Today's Flower => here.

Sites To See

Just wanna thank FishHawk of As The Cracker Head Crumbles for including and featuring this blog in his week's feature of Sites To See. His blog is one of my frequented blogs for ec dropping and visiting. I was actually dropping a visit to him and reading my comment box at the same time when I saw and learned that he picked on my wordless wednesday entry of Metal Horse.

Here's a captioned portion of his post:

This is the new version of FIVE FOR FRIDAY. As with the former, it is the SOLE purpose of this weekly series to call attention to sites that I think many would find most interesting—in one way or another. Please, go see for yourself.

Well the post featured 20 sites to see and I fall on the 7th, thanks for the link Mr. FishHawk!

:WW - School Boy!

Josh posed for me here yesterday as he wears his new school uniform, St . Audry changed their uniform from navy/sailor collar to this one plus a revision on the necktie. I actually prefer this one than the old polo he had for the last two years because it made Josh looks a lot boyish. See his hands here, such a cutie ! (Mom always say that :-) )

Happy WW, view more entries -> here.

:Today's Flowers #44

This is just an ordinary flower, what caught my attention is the petite yellow bloom that emerged from the core of the petals. I thought it just fallen from another plant but after second look I noticed that it's in there. Take note also that upon setting the camera on a macro setting the flower changed its color from pink to orange.

Philippines 111th Independence Day!

Grabbed this Operation 111 from Cecile of by Cecile of Kitchen.... The Heart of Our Home, thanks sis for this one :-)! This is in commemoration of Philippine Independence Day.

"The Philippine Declaration of Independence occurred on June 12, 1898 in the Philippines, where Filipino revolutionary forces under General Emilio Aguinaldo (later to become the Philippines' first Republican President) proclaimed the sovereignty and independence of the Philippine Islands from the colonial rule of Spain after the latter was defeated at the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish-American War. The declaration, in the form of a proclamation, in the presence of a huge crowd, was done on June 12, 1898 at the ancestral home of General Emilio Aguinaldo between four and five in the afternoon in Cavite el Viejo (now Kawit), Cavite, some 30 kilometers South of Manila. The event saw the unfurling of the National Flag of the Philippines, made in Hong Kong by Mrs. Marcela Agoncillo, Lorenza Agoncillo and Delfina Herboza, and the performance of the Marcha Filipina Magdalo, as the Nation's National Anthem, now known as Lupang Hinirang, which was composed by Julian Felipe and played by the San Francisco de Malabon Marching band."
