Bible Study

Everyday brings different lessons in our life. In our work we encounter difficulties on duties and tasks assigned but after that we felt fulfillment after accomplishing all tasks. In our homes we faced challenges of everyday problems, depression, worries and physical exhaustion but at the end of the day we felt satisfaction of having managed a good family. Sometime in our lives we come upon deception and temptation but we were able to see God’s hand before we commit sins. These are the things that we must rule out of our lives in order for us to claim God’s promise. Our faith was somehow tested everyday because that’s the life of Christian we are being mold like the metal that’s been refined by fire. That’s why it’s very important for us to have a Bible Study to help us recharge ourselves with the teaching and word of God.

Transport Strike Tomorrow!

As commuting public we were advised by transport group last week that there will be a massive transport strike tomorrow. They announced it very early to warn commuters that they might walk going to office and sure will walk again after officehours. I'm going to accompany Josh tomorrow to the grand rehearsal so I filed my leave of absence in the office, actually as the rehearsal is only in the morning I was thinking to report to office halfday after lunch but upon learning that the strike will be really active afternoon I decided to call it a whole dayoff. After all I might really walk going home :-)

Graduation Practice

Josh has already finished his 3-day fourth periodical exam last week and the day after that they started practicing the march of the graduates. He would come home singing the march rites or whatever song assigned to him. He’s really very excited that ever since they practice graduation rites he would come to me every early morning and will ask me ‘is it our graduation march today mom? Then I would always answer how many more nights to go before their graduation.

Last Friday night I was handed a short paragraph phrase for Josh to memorize for their graduation rites. He will speak before the little crowd meaning also that he’s got for himself an award. The school didn't told us who are the honors, they will announce it on the last day of graduation practice but those who were given speech are sure to get an award. His little short speech titled was titled Receiving of Award.

Facing Our Fears

I'm watched again the second week of the fitness challenge reality program to which I always find some lessons learned in every big challenge they do. This time they were taught and trained to do fundamentals of rappelling, how to handle multi-pitch rappels and anchor transitions. Their challenge was to climb the 120-ft. side of the cliff beside the falls and get their assigned color of the flags. The contestant with minimum time spent to finish the climbing will be the winner but they should also get all their flags. What interest me in watching the show was all of them have fear of heights so that made it more interesting and challenging because the challenge would not be only on their fitness or endurance but also the spirit of facing your fears. Inspite of their fears they took the challenge gracefully and all succeeded in doing it. Some finished it in few minutes while others took more time, of course there must be a winner and the talents/skills given to us are not equal so not everybody can be as good as the other. In every game there's winner and loser. The most important thing to learn in a game is sportmanship and learning to give your best. Lessons learned in this challenge is that you can do anything you want if you just put your mind into it - with God's guidance and blessing of course.
