Sweetie Ruth is now 16

At 16
Younger!

My Ruthie has turned 16 today, the age they calls 'sweet sixteen' and from her pics above I could say she's just not sweet but very nice as well.  Actually when I looked back some of her pictures from younger days she hasn't changed much (just look how she maintains her cheeky smile).  I always joke her that her face stays the same throughout the years....she's still the same cute, pretty and full of cheeks girl who always hugs and kiss me.

She told me that she'll never stop hugging me until she's old.  We had an advance celebration yesterday and I'll talk about it some other time as we're so happy about our lunch-dinner date together with the whole family.    We enjoyed our bonding time together and I pray

Creating a Picture Gallery in Your Home

Surrounding yourself with photos and artwork that mean something to you is one of the best ways to personalize your home. What confuses a lot of people, however, is how to organize the photos or canvases into interesting and coherent groupings. Creating a picture gallery isn’t difficult if you follow a few basic rules, so collect your printed photos, framed artwork, or photos and pictures you have ordered from handy sites like 24 Hour Canvas to get started.

Things in Groups Gain Importance One of the most oft repeated mistakes people make is to leave too much space between a collection of pictures. You might be trying to evenly space an inadequate number of pictures along a wall, thinking that you will create balance that way. The problem with this approach is that each picture looks lonely and insignificant when left on its own.

Only by grouping a collection together does each individual component gain a sense of status and importance, so don’t be afraid to take three or more pictures and hang them close to each other on the wall. The pieces don’t even have to be alike, as vintage postcards, framed photos (color or black and white), canvases, and unframed artwork together create an eclectic and interesting combination. Trace each piece onto brown kraft paper, cut out the shapes, and then use your floor to design a visually pleasing grouping that you can then transfer to your wall.

Change It Up

Your picture gallery doesn’t have to be static. There are plenty of ways to keep it flexible and changeable so you can remove or add new pieces whenever the mood strikes. Plate shelves are one good option, as you can lean framed pieces against the wall, move them around, or replace them with something new. There are also cable systems on the market that attach to your walls and on which you can clip an ever-rotating selection of your favorite photographs, postcards, or Christmas cards. And when it comes to kids’ artwork that you want to display, buy a few simple Plexiglas frames that allow you to easily slip in a drawing or painting. The frames remain in the same places, but the art within can change as your kids come up with new masterpieces.

Be Bold

Don’t apologize for what you hang on your wall by keeping it small. If you have photos or artwork that you love, let it be big and noticeable. One way you can achieve a bold look is to have your favorite family portraits, vacation photos, or kids’ artwork enlarged and printed onto canvas or poster paper, which can then be framed or left as-is. Love that photo of your daughter laughing in the sunshine? Celebrate it by turning it into a style statement with its own section of wall.

Clip on a battery-operated picture light to further draw the eye. Check out online stores such as 24 Hour Canvas to get fast, high-quality canvas prints made that will immortalize in just about any size favorite photos of your loved ones, great times you’ve shared, or family masterpieces for decades of enjoyment.

How to Perform Self-Plumbing Methods

If you are having issues with your toilets, pipes, or sinks, Tacoma plumbing will come to the rescue and repair what is broken, clogged, or backed-up. With excellent staff members to serve you that are knowledgeable and wise, you will have clear drains and great-working faucets within minutes.

Plunge It Hard

Having clogged drains or a backed-up toilet can be such an annoyance and a hassle, especially if you do not have a talented hand when using your plunger or snake. Clogs and broken pipes can happen for a number of reasons and can be easily repaired by trial and error. If your toilet won’tsimply flush the water down after being used, you could have an item logged way down in the drain that is preventing the toilet bowl water from flushing down.

You may never know that your child threw their favorite toy down the drain thinking that it would suddenly become cleaned. It may be difficult for you to remove the item, even with a home plunging device. The best thing to do is call your local plumbing service to get the job done, since they can get your pipes back to normal in just a short amount of time.

A Hairy Mess

Taking a shower can be relaxing, until you notice that all of your hair runs down the drain and continues to clog it on a daily basis. There is nothing worse than standing in a puddle of water in your shower. This can also cause you to slip and fall if you move too quickly or don’t drain the water.

You can purchase a hair stopper at your local store to collect your goopy hair at the bottom of your shower. You can then easily remove it and throw it away. This will keep your drain hair-free, and you can be safe and secure while you take a shower.

The Best Tools

If you cannot repair the mess, clog, or drains yourself, call a Tacoma Plumbing service to get the job done in a matter of minutes, so you can enjoy a nice shower or flushing your toilet with ease.

Sheet Metal Supplies for Home

After you get metal from a sheet metal supply company, you need to know how to protect it from the elements. A metal building is very tough and durable, without the tendency to rot that a wooden building has, but this does not mean that it is without issues. Rust can quickly start to set in, destroying your walls and roof and forcing you to buy replacement panels. However, there are some different things that can be done to prevent this from happening.

First of all, you could talk to the company and see if they sell metal that has already been coated in a protective agent. This is often done with metal parts; for example, you can buy galvanized nails that will not rust for years, even if they are directly exposed to the elements. These are often used on roofing projects. The supply company may have sheet metal that has been coated in a similar fashion, offering you more durability for roughly the same price.

The simplest option, though, is just to paint the metal. You need to apply at least two coats of outdoor paint to get started. After that, you should reapply a coat every five to ten years. You can also look for damage to the paint - such as strips of it that are coming off near the top of the wall - where water could get inside. Those areas should be repainted more often because they represent breaches in your defenses that cause rust.

Attractive Pavers for Your Driveway

When you think about improving the curb appeal of your home, replacement windows or new siding come to mind. However, there's an affordable option that's often overlooked, and it's right underfoot. You can transform the exterior of your house with an installation of stylish interlocking brick driveway pavers. The driveway takes up a good portion of your home's front yard, so why not make it an attractive part the landscape? This latest trend in home improvement works beautifully in the backyard too.

Unlike traditional concrete, pavers allow you to turn your driveway into an attractive design with color and texture. They handle any kind of weather without cracking, and the surface is slip-resistant and easy to keep clean. Because the pavers are installed over a sand and aggregate base, your driveway is ready for use right away. It's simple to replace areas that become stained, and the tightly interlocking system keeps grass and weeds from taking root.

Pavers come in a wide range of shapes and styles, and they're great for creating beautiful new sidewalks. You can replicate the charm of a cobblestone path or warm up the front porch with the look of clay brick. Imagine replacing that boring concrete patio with a stretch of color and design that makes your backyard inviting again. Pavers turn the barbecue into an outdoor grilling island and put personality into the pool decking. Concrete has its place, but today's driveway pavers give you affordable options that complement your home and brighten it up from the mailbox out front to the fire pit out back.

Popular Siding Used for Homes

When you build your home, you want to get a quality Utah siding material. This material must withstand the elements and give your home a good look, because it is what people will see on the outside of your home. Consider what is most popularly used for home siding, and think about whether you want to join others in using these particular materials for the siding on your home.

Types of Siding

One of the most popular materials used for siding is vinyl. This is usually made in strips that are laid horizontally or vertically. They can be made in any color or design. Vinyl is both durable and fairly cheap, which is why people choose to use it so often. Vinyl, however, is flammable, and when some of it is damaged, the entire section usually needs to be replaced. Vinyl can have insulation added to help keep noise and extreme temperatures outside of the home. It is slightly more expensive but adds many benefits.

Engineered wood siding is for those who like the look and idea of having wood as a siding, but want more benefits than the simple wood material that warps over time and requires a lot of maintenance. It is very easy to install, so labor costs stay low. The material itself is also fairly cheap because it does not require a lot of lumber in itself. It is much more durable than wood itself, because it won’t get insect problems. It can be painted any color as well. It does need to be maintained to keep it safe from moisture.

Fiber cement is wood mixed with sand and cement. It is very thick, so it can handle extreme weather very well, which makes it durable over time. Any paint that is put on fiber cement will stay there for a very long time. Because it is heavy and specially made, this type of Utah siding  is a bit more expensive than other types. It does not require much maintenance, however, which is why a lot of people like it. It also gives a unique look to any home.

Tips for Selling a Home

When you go to sell your home, you want it to stand out to buyers among all the other Hanover homes. Some people think that they need to do serious work on their home to make it look better, but there are actually a lot of small and simple things you can do to make your home attractive to buyers. A small effort can go a long way, so it is well worth your time.

Preparing Your Home

Taking care of the details is important because it will affect the general view that people get of your home. The first impression is extremely important with buyers. They will usually decide within the first minute or so whether they actually want to buy your home. Give them what they want with a clean front of the house. Clean up the yard and wash the front of the home. There should be no overgrowth or excess dirt. They should be able to walk up to the front and see a home that is taken care of. Do the same to the entire inside of the home and the backyard, if you have one. Fix any small problems.

If possible, you want to make your house look as large as you can. The best way to do this is to move out of the home and only have a small amount of show furniture in the house. When the rooms are not crowded with belongings, the buyer can see the room for its size and appreciate how much space is not taken up by your things. If you are living in your home, keep it tidy at all times and store any extra furniture that you do not need to use. Have tasteful and little artwork on the walls.

Hiring a Realtor

You should also hire a realtor. They will have experience with Hanover homes  and will know exactly how to position your house so that it is attractive to buyers. They will know how to get buyers there in the first place and negotiate with them. Having a realtor can help you sell your home much quicker, and get more money for it too.
