My Values Profile

Your Values Profile

Loyalty:
You value loyalty highly.
You're completely devoted to your friends and family.
Even if they totally screw up, you're still there for them.
Just make sure they're equally loyal to you!

Honesty:
You value honesty a fair amount.
You're honest when you can be, but you aren't a stickler for it.
If a little white lie will make a situation more comfortable, you'll go for it.
In the end, you mostly care about "situational integrity."

Generosity:
You value generosity highly.
So much so that you often put your own needs last.
There's nothing wrong with having a caring heart...
But you may want to rethink your "open wallet" policy.
Humility:
You value humility a fair amount.
You tend to be an easy going, humble person.
But occasionally your ego takes over.
You have a slight competitive streak - and the need to be the best.

Tolerance:
You value tolerance highly.
Not only do you enjoy the company of those very different from you...
You do all that you can to seek it out interesting and unique friends.
You think there are many truths in life, and you're open to many of them.

Choir At The Camp

In our second day of fellowship each group has prepared group songs. The first who offered songs are the Kids' Choir which of course included all my kids as the children's age range from 3 to 12 years old. Josh was in the front and he's very excited he knew every line of the song. It's his first choir as he's resisted joining the group in our last fellowship. The second group was the youth choir consisting of younger generation ranging from 12 yrs. of age to early twenties. The last but not the least was the wife of our pastor and the deacons which included me :-) So there we are singing our songs to the Lord.

De La Hoya and Mayweather Rematch

They’re here again; remember the richest fight in boxing history? Yes, the fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Oscar Dela Hoya will soon have a rematch. Isn’t it exciting? My friend watched their first bout via pay-per-view and he kept on blogging about the fight including the 6-week series training of these 2 popular boxers, it showed how they trained and their activities, what they said and eat. It was a nice series. And because of the success and popularity they gained on their last fight, a rematch was well expected.

Dela Hoya and Mayweather are both agreeable to do the rematch fight and Schaefer, Golden Boy Promotions CEO have almost finalized it. He’s holding the site at the 27,000-set Home Depot Center in Los Angeles though other venues are also interested. Everyone will be thrilled to have Mayweather vs De La Hoya tickets to see them fight again. Tickets will surely sell like hotcakes especially to their fans and boxing enthusiasts. My friend would love Golden Boy Dela Hoya to win this time but he likes to have a full 12 rounds. So for boxing fans out there get your tickets now so you will not miss the fun of watching their fight on September. For those who will not make it to LA, you can watch them at HBO pay-per-view.

2nd Fellowship Day at the Camp

We’ve started the day with an early prayer at 5:00am and get ourselves ready for breakfast to have an early fellowship at 8:30am. We’re around 80 persons so preparation is quite a handful but we’ve delegated responsibilities to each and every group for a smooth scheduling of activities. My kids really love this place in Tagaytay and made the most in enjoying the cool weather and peaceful surroundings. My youngest kid
asked me if we can stay for another 3 days lol! He really liked it there! Testimonies were touching and most were coupled with offered songs. I was particularly touched by testimony of Sis. Sarah (the eldest daughter of Pastor) she was backslide for a time but now back again in the presence of the Lord. All six of them offered a song (wife and daughters of Pastor).

Choirs were presented starting from the kids ranging from 2 years old up to 10 years old, followed by the youth and finished with the wife of the deacons including me of course. Messages were carefully prayed and deliberated which brought reflections and feeling of fulfillment.
The day ended with the prayer of oil. The oil that we used to pray for sickness. The oil was personally prepared by us. We then had our afternoon snack which turned out to be a light dinner as it’s already dark outside. We packed our things and made sure that everything is in order and right places, the place immaculately clean as ever.

Lasik Eye Surgery

Since college I was using eyeglasses after I was diagnosed that I have nearsightedness problem in my eyes. Thus, I learned to live a life with eyeglasses as my partner wherever I go, it’s the most important thing I carry on my bag, without it I feel lost. When I was in college I always choose outdoor sports for my Physical Education subject. Have you ever played volleyball with glasses on? I did! I played softball, volleyball, table tennis, bowling and many other sports with my eyeglasses on and I carried it gracefully. I thought then that I could give my best in whatever sport I choose even if I don’t have perfect vision, it depends on the person how you carry your insufficiency, and well I carried mine bravely. Anyway nearsightedness is very common among students because of so many reasons, I think I had it because I like reading so much that even if it gets dark I’ll still continue reading up to my bedtime. After I saw white clouds slowly creeping in my vision I knew then that I overuse my eyes. Until now I wear eyeglasses because I’m not that comfortable with contact lens and I don’t have much time to do the regimen of wearing contacts.

Now you don’t have to suffer from my own experiences if you’re nearsighted or farsighted because science is always coming up with new innovative technology to cure sickness like this. I’ve found docshop.com, a website for information about health care procedures and technologies. In this website you can explore many things about patient education, medical information, reputable specialist in your area and everything about laser eye surgery which is very popular now in the field of medicine. Lasik eye surgery is a treatment that reshapes the cornea in order to produce clear vision. This procedure can treat myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism.

This website offers information and guidelines on lasik treatment such as general requisites of applying for lasik eye surgery, the lasik vision correction procedure, the risks and benefits of having lasik eye surgery and tips on choosing the best lasik surgeon which is very important in the lasik procedure. The eye surgery cost depends on the patients’ degree of refractive error. What’s even more helpful in this site are the lasik’s reviews and testimonials. This is really an informative site, so for all those people with eye problem please visit DocShop.com and experience the safest and most accurate form of treatment ever.

First Day Fellowship

We arrived at the site 6am in the morning with 3 groups of our brethren already there, one group hasn't arrived yet and I learned that they had trouble with their brakes. We arranged all of our things in the room and had our breakfast immediately to prepare ourselves for the first day of our fellowship. I was assigned as the first teacher of the day so I studied my lessons and activities for the children. The kids and I were having an interaction with one of my biblical story when the last group arrived, tiredness was well written on their faces. After an hour or two I closed my lessons and catched up the fellowship in the upper room where we held our service.

I was lucky to catch Pastor's preaching but we're not complete yet so the air just breezed through us freely breathing through our ears. It was always good hearing deep inspirational messages from our dear Pastor but the preaching was almost at the end. We planned a different set of menu this time avoiding meaty recipes because cooking meat took up plenty of time just to get it tender. This time we planned spaghetti for breakfast, monggo and fish for lunch and chopsuey for dinner, for our last afternoon before we go home we will just have lomi for late afternoon snack which can be good enough also for a light dinner before travelling. For the children we have jumbo hotdogs in each meal. Rice was served all throughout the day, we've prepared one sack for us all.

Afternoon service was fully packed as all brethren were there already. I had the time to listen to all exhorters and preachers because I've already finished my camp school teaching, will miss the kids though. I always liked to be scheduled first makes me feel better if I finished first. The master of ceremony carefully planned the time slot for ministers because we'll have to start our service for communion and feetwashing right after the speaker.

Teaching Kids at the Camp

To help the youth in handling kids during the fellowship we were asked to volunteer to participate in teaching little children in the church. As I've been doing this for sometime now I volunteered, lucky I just bought through one sister in the church some inspiring biblical books for children, it was on sale and the price of the book is only P10-20 per piece, lucky indeed! It contained almost everything from biblical stories to exercises and some spiritual games for kids. Here you can see some pics of them, other kids didn't arrive early because of some trouble in their vehicle!
