Our 12th Wedding Anniversary

Another year again! This time it's our 12th and it seems like we've only married for some years, really time goes by so fast, before you knew it has passed you by quickly. Nothing's changed, we're still the same-bestfriends turned sweethearts- and I'm just so glad that we reached this 12th year of our married life with the same intense feeling that we have for each other when we were younger. My hubby is still the same understanding and loving Ed that I've known for years, actually sweeter and more romantic as he grows older (even if I'm 25 pounds heavier lol).

Some says that as the years of marriage increases the thoughtfulness and romance decreases, a male friend of mine once told me that after few years of marriage he always forgot to give flowers to his wife. He felt guilty when he learned that Ed never fails to give me white roses on birthdays and anniversaries (engagement and wedding). Why white roses? Because that's the sign that I asked God to give me when I wanted to know if Ed was the one God meant for me. From that day that he gave me a white rose I knew that he's the one that God gave me to be my partner in life.

Get Together

It's nice to be in Pansol again and of course to our favorite villa resort, a very simple one but because we've been hiring the place for 4-5 years now the price is very affordable to us. We're always hiring the place every Jan.1, May 1, on every baptism and on some birthday or other special occasions. The caretaker was so nice to deal with that's why even if the place have only two pools, small one for the kids and another for adults. We're a group of people who always love to spent holidays together and we love swimming be it on a pool or on beach resort. We prepared mechado, pancit and spaghetti alongside with roasted eggplant and barbeque. The kids stayed on the pool the whole day just leaving the pool when hungry, they were happily shouting when we reached the place and right there and then went to the pool and began swimming and playing. In the afternoon after making sure that my kids were with their daddy on the pool I took a nap. and a half, just waking up to a call for spaghetti It was a very relaxing nap of an hour snack. We prepared to return back to Manila around 5-6pm.

Expressway Traffic

We had a somewhat slow but safe travel yesterday as we together with our church friends went to our favorite resort in Pansol at Calamba, Laguna. We started late in our travel, we were fetched in our house at past 6am and since it's May 1, national holiday for Laborers, traffic was all over South Luzon expressway. Yes it shouldn't be called express at this time of the year because you'll have difficulty traveling in that place. There's plenty of road construction and lots of road rerouting resulting zigzag driving (have enclosed some pictures here). I had chances of taking pictures because we're on a very slow pace and I was getting bored then. Well maybe after these things were finished we'll have a nicer South Luzon Expressway, just hoping that toll gate fees will not increase because of these road improvements. Calamba was nevertheless busy at this peak season of swimming and outing, we were really hot when we finally reached the place. I was glad that my Josh finally stopped complaining that it's been taking us too much time to reach the resort, he was just excited you know!
