Nanny Camera

For working moms like me we have no choice but to leave our kids to the care and protection of hired nannies because we work for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Lucky are those who can afford to stay home and personally administer their household and kids. I really envy them and been thinking a lot these days what would be the best plan to work and at the same time care for their personal and emotional needs. I also want to know what’s happening with my kids the time that I’m in the office. I know one officemate of mine who uses nanny camera to make sure that the nannies are doing the right thing with her toddler son.

Some may not like this kind of security that parents are doing but most parents are really over protective regarding their children. They want the best protection for their kids especially if the kids are infant or toddler. Some feel secured if there’s nanny camera on their house in which they can view their child’s activities and how their nannies treated them. Who knows? Each and every person has their own characteristics and moods. What if the one you entrusted to take care of your precious kid is capable of hurting children?

Each person has his/her own rights and I’m sure most nannies wouldn’t like or would feel uncomfortable if they will know that they’re being monitored by nanny camera. Best if they will never ever know it’s there. Anyway there’s a site that offers various types of nanny cameras disguised as mere decoration, toys, clocks or small appliances to make sure that kids are safe in your own house even if you’re no there. They have special designs like the nanny camera disguised as wall clock, wireless teddy bear cameras, black box, time recorder and DVD players. These designs can be easily set up for monitoring and recording as well. With these gadgets and modern technology reaching our homes there’s no need to worry about the time that we’re away from our loved ones.

Guide on EON Cyberaccount and Paypal

Got a call from Bes JennyL about enrolling to Union Bank and have realized that some people including me must have missed a step on having our EON Cyber Account and Paypal Verification.

JennyL forwarded me our blogger friend Cherry Rose’s ‘Steps to make your Paypal Account verified’. It was very helpful indeed just like all that Chikai has been teaching us, you know she always want help bloggers the ins and outs including this guideline that she posted on her blog. Thanks Chikai!
Now, I’m posting my own experience on doing this step-by-step guide if this can help bloggers out there who want to open an EON Cyber Account to get their Paypal verified.(kinda long :-)

Open Union Bank’s online banking, apply for an EON Visa Electron, be sure to specify your desired branch. Wait for 5-7 banking days, then go to your specified branch, it’s only 5 days but I’m glad that I waited for 7 days because when I reached the bank the staff said that the card has just arrived. Bring 2 IDs (3 to make sureJ) and have photocopies because the bank will get them. Pay P350 for yearly payment and deposit an equivalent of USD1.95 to be sure deposit at least P200. This deposit is for the lifting of your Paypal withdrawal limits of up to $500. The bank will give you your pin# and make sure you change this given 4-digit pin# into your own secret pin#.

After one week when your debit card is activated enroll your card to Unionbank Online Banking. Choose Cyber Account and they’ll ask for your username/card number and pin#.
Done? then go to your Paypal account and go to profile then click add or edit card. Type Visa as the type of card and be careful to type the same billing address as your EON Cyberaccount or it won’t add your card. Then Link your card and be sure that you’ll be deducted an amount of USD1.95 or equivalent peso for assurance that you’re done with it.
When approved, wait for 5 days (this is the maximum no. of days) and call their hotline number at 84-186 to get your Paypal Expanded Code. This is better than the other option to email Unionbank services online through EON CyberAccount.

Now if you already have your Paypal expanded code go back to your paypal account and confirm it by filling out the field for your 4-digit expanded code. You’ll receive a confirmation that your account has been verified. You can now go on with your paypal transaction.

Dining Room Buffets

My mom was so fond of inviting friends on every occasion that came our way like birthdays, anniversaries and some simple occasions that we find it nice to share with family friends. On occasions like these we use our big round table for our expected number of guests. And all needed things should be in order like the table napkins and linens, extra glasses, plates and dinnerware. That’s when I need dining room buffets like buffet tables and cabinets to make food serving organized. Entertaining wares should be placed neatly in the right places to prevent the hassles of looking for the things that we need.

To make the occasion organized and enjoyable, be it a birthday or a simple get-together party, you should have a

My Verifier Card

Finally I’m finished with all the requirements in sending, receiving and lifting my limits in my Paypal. Had an extended time arranging my paypal expanded code because of some difficulty in reaching customer service, my! Their customer service is always busy you need to have patience to wait for your turn. My inquiry last week with one CSR was not answered properly leading to the delay in getting my expanded code.

Now I’ve just talked to CSR Mary and she was great in explaining things and what went wrong – there’s an error in deducting amount from my account they just deducted PhP1.00 instead of $1.95. She gave me an assurance that as soon as I linked my card they’ll give me my paypal expanded code. You know I was worried that I’ll wait another 3-5 days. True to her word I was given my code right after I linked again and PhP87.25 was deducted from my deposit. Then I confirmed my code and presto – I’m ready now.

To make things more better I added my BDO account, it was a payroll account actually and I was just trying it, but it was accepted. Now I can withdraw without charges (at least for PhP7k and up).

Donate Your Car

It’s better to give than to receive, a very popular phrase that encourages people to think seriously of sharing their blessing to less fortunate ones. That’s the best you could do if you have more financial blessings than others, after all it always feels good when you help others isn’t it? We usually help or give our donations in cash or in kind to some charitable institutions that we find suitable to help because of their urgent needs. I for yourself have a soft spot for orphanage because I feel that losing your parents is one of the saddest things that can happen in one’s life so they should be given love and support – emotionally and financially. What if you don’t have ready cash with you and you really want to help? Well there’s one company that accepts car donations to help their partner charities get the fund needed to continue with their charitable works.

This is a unique way of fund-raising or asking for donations. They encourage you to donate your car to help their institution continue helping the orphans, single mothers, at-risk youth, the homeless and prison reform. They’re accepting all kinds of used cars’ donations from all over the nation and sell it to use in giving funds to their partner charities. This is really good and I’ve never heard such a thing like this before. They also sell used cars at very low discounted prices so in this way you can help them also.

Their program doesn’t end with this as they used some of their money in producing children’s animations and giving free DVDs for kids which will teach moral and ethical lessons for 3-10 year old kids. I came to think that different people and organizations have their own unique ways of helping less privileged ones, whatever their purposes and ways may seem to be the most important thing is sharing your blessing to others. Just like what Jesus said that if you do good deeds for the least of your brother it’s like you did that to Him.

I Am Pineapple

Got this from Geng, she asked my favorite fruit and now here's what my favorite fruit says about me, thanks Geng:

You are quick to decide and even quicker to act. You are brave in asking career changes, if that is what is to your advantage. You have exceptional organizing abilities and are undaunted by the size of the task at hand. You tend to be self reliant, sincere and honest in your dealings with others. Though you are not given to making friends very quickly, but once you do, it is for life. Your partner is often impressed with your sterling qualities but disappointed in your ability to show affection.

Geng's comment on this: I agree with this. You can accomplish heap of tasks on your plate. I was a witness to this, you can multi task with very minimal assistance or help. I guess that was good training from where we we used to work. We were expected to learn on our own! Now, I just don't know if you have problems expressing your feelings to your partner? Do you?

Geng really knows me! I'm really a workaholic person but time and people change I don't want to go on being like that. Even though I can do multi tasking works I'm a little bit cautious that I'm spreading myself too thin. When it comes to friends I make friends quite easily at the flick of my fingers lol! and my best of friends are really friends for life like JennyL whose been my bestfriend since sophomore days in high school. And now with my partner it's secret lol!, just call it keeping up the spice in a relationship :-)

How Open Minded Are You?

You Are 44% Open Minded

You aren't exactly open minded, but you have been known to occasionally change your mind.

You're tolerant enough to get along with others who are very different...

But you may be quietly judgmental of things or people you think are wrong.

You take your own values pretty seriously, and it would take a lot to change them.

How Open Minded Are You?

Being open minded is a serious thing for me. I'm a broad minded person as long as it won't step on my beliefs, principles and especially on my being a born-again Christian. You don't have to be judgmental just try not to tolerate things that are bad because in tolerating that you don't help them.

Food Plan for Mom's Birthday

Woke up early to plan for Mom's birthday today, not a big one because we want a quiet and simple birthday unlike her last year's birthday in Bosay Resort where a group of our hometown people in Laguna attended also. We brought two vehicles then and both were jammed with passengers, no overloading because some of them were kids.

I'm the eldest daughter so I have to take care of everything - from planning the food, buying them all and cooking. Glad I love cooking so every time there's a family occasion I'm the one in-charge but of course always supervised by my own dear mom who's the expert in all :-). Her friends keep on telling her always that I took after her- her cooking and some characteristics, not her face 'coz she's prettier than me lol! Will be busy the whole day so no more blogging for this day - call it a blogging dayoff!
