Causes of Mesothelioma

I did some research on asbestos which was called the miracle mineral because of its soft, pliant properties and its ability to withstand heat. It was used in the past generation in buildings, dwellings and workplaces. It has many uses but it was found a major hazard to health if inhaled. Exposure in this mineral can cause asbestosis, mesothelioma and lung cancer. People who incurred this disease are those who worked on environment where they inhaled particles of asbestos. I was relieved that use of this was removed and banned before 1990’s because no matter how great this mineral is it’s still a threat on human health.

Awareness on ANA-Antinuclear Antibodies

I was waiting the whole day for Tin’s call, she’s going to Cebu this weekend and I asked her if she’s fit for a travel now with her present condition. She was excited the other day and sent me a text message that she’s clear of Lupus as indicated in her laboratory test. We’ll together pray that she’ll be found negative of Antinuclear Antibodies (ANA) too. These diseases are not really familiar to me and if something is bothering me I really do some research. This time I’m going to quote what I’ve found from MedicineNet.com.

“It says that we have antibodies in our blood that repel invaders into our body but ANAs are unusual antibodies, detectable in the blood, that have the capability of binding to certain structures within the nucleus of the cells. The nucleus is the innermost core within the body's cells and contains the DNA, the primary genetic material. ANAs are found in patients whose immune system may be predisposed to cause inflammation against their own body tissues. Antibodies that are directed against one's own tissues are referred to as auto-antibodies. The propensity for the immune system to work against its own body is referred to as autoimmunity. ANAs indicate the possible presence of autoimmunity and provide, therefore, an indication for doctors to consider the possibility of autoimmune illness.”

Now I’m beginning to learn what this ANA disease is all about and this can be tested through blood sample. Did you know that 5% of the population has it? It’s just a survey but I really wonder at all the modern diseases that came into this modern generation, I have a thought that with all these modern conveniences we have in our high technology world we also have these modern diseases that’s keeping up with the times. I’m sure if my grand grandparents were alive they would be amazed at the number of diseases the world have now. All I know is no matter how complicated these diseases are God can take it all in His healing hands. I’ll pray that when the time comes for my friend’s laboratory test results it will be NEGATIVE.

Having Problem With Your Mitral Valve?

Maintaining a healthy body is best achieved with proper exercise, enough sleep and a balanced diet food. If your body is healthy you’re rarely gets sick. Healthy means all your vital organs are functioning properly and well maintained with the right kind of food and vitamins. We should take good care of our lungs, kidney, heart and many other organs that help our body from getting sickness. As I mentioned heart I can’t help remembering how a senior officemate in my past job suffered from stenosis and he submitted himself for a mitral valve surgery which prolonged his life up to this time. Back then I was amazed by the high technology that our science has invented.

I was thinking what if my officemate lived in the old generation where there’s no surgery or repair can be done if you encountered a disorder in your mitral valve. Well we should be relieved that in our generation many good things are available to help us recover from our hearts’ disorders. After all heart problems most of the times causes stroke, one of the most deadly sickness that can happen to you. Heart is really a very sensitive organ because that’s what give us breathe.

I was doing some research these past few days because I wasn’t feeling good about my breathing interval when I saw this Maryland Heart Center site that taught me a lot about how modern science can make wonders with mitral valve repair surgery. They are a group of specialists who performs mitral valve repair and replacement. What’s good about these expert surgeons is that they will do everything to repair the mitral valve instead of replacing it for their patients to be saved from blood-thinning medications. So if there’s anyone in your family who needed surgery in their mitral valve you can help them live a more happy life by restoring the healthy function of their mitral valve.

Prayer For My Friend

I was excited as usual when I saw Christine's name on my inbox message and was ready to read and absorb her usual enlightening text message. I suddenly froze and cold started to envelope my body as I began reading her text about her laboratory examination. At first I thought it was a prayer request for one of her friend but it dawned on me in the end that indeed it was for her. She has undergone laboratory test to rule out some rare disease that doctors suspected her of having. I've chosen to keep it to myself as I'm not sure if she wants to keep it secret and confidential for awhile.

Tin and I met each other in Design Science last February of 1993, my first day. She's employed 2 months back and was glued to her as she's also a born-again christian. We speak the same language, the computer and faith language and that's what makes us stick together. She's a nice, cheerful and very sweet person not so vain with her looks even if she's the prettiest girl in the office. My memory retains everything that we've been through in our work and personal life. From being together on overnight that at times gave us a Goosebumps, we were all alone on our first overnight together doing technical proposal when blackout strikes the whole area and we're helpless and unprepared. We spent the night with no lights on, with just the two of us on the silent basement but you know what we did? We opened our bible and had some sharing and that erased our fear.

She left the office for a better opportunity as programmer in a builders' company and later settled in Duty Free as Systems Analyst. We didn't burned our bridges as she always calls me for everything that happens in her life and that made us closer even without seeing each other. She's there when I married my husband but after awhile I somehow lost track of her, no mobile phones at that time I mean none for the average person. Only those in higher position can afford those very expensive cell phones. But I was happy that God didn't allowed that to happen to us as two years after that I saw her in a market where me and Myrns usually come. It was a great day for us and since then we never lost track and been a text and real-life friends. Hope this coming laboratory results will be proven negative. May God heal her body and give her spiritual strength to bear all the worries and pain of this.

Elegant Pearls

A friend showed me her jewelry collection and boasts about her capacity to buy anything that she wants, fair enough she’s a workaholic and she worked for every collection that she has. It’s just this thing about love for anything that glitters. Actually in every occasion that she attends to she wanted a different jewelry accessory to match her moods. To exude a classic and elegant look she has chosen to wear perfectly round Tahitian pearls. We all know that wearing pearls is like walking with dignity because it was regarded in high esteem. Actually meaning of pearl differs in color; if it’s white it symbolizes innocence, purity and honesty. Gold pearls symbolize prosperity, black means riches and other colors pertain to some other characteristic. But I must say that all pearls are of great price.

She's Having A Baby!

Heard about some good news from my former officemate friend, actually it’s still a secret to everyone save for a few person including me whom she can’t help telling. She was so excited with the pregnancy test result but was apprehensive to announce it to the public until she has consulted her doctor. I know she’s very happy because she’s been telling for a year now that she and her hubby really planned to have another baby this time. I’ve been telling when we’re still together that it’s easier and healthier if women should give birth before forty. She’s in mid-30s now, anyway this was just an advice from me, and some women are strong enough to give birth after 40, giving birth takes a lot of consideration – your health, your emotional stability to care for your baby and financial capabilities. As for my friend I’m very happy that God has finally answered their prayers now.

Car Insurance

My family travels a lot but not around the world, just a travel on some near and far provinces and most of the time on fellowship service ministry. When we travel we always bring the whole family to keep our bonding moments. That’s why we seriously took a lot of time and some money to maintain our car properly and on scheduled time because we don’t want any malfunction to happen while we’re on our way to our destination. We’re very careful and cautious with our car condition because car is like our family also. We never miss to get a car insurance so that if anything happens, God forbid, we would be covered by an insurance company who would take charge of all expenses.

But sometimes insurance quotes are so expensive that it costs us a lot just to have our car insured on time. This is the reason that I browsed online for a cheaper insurance quotes to match our financial capability.
