Professional Blogger's Dilemma

I had a nice, enjoyable moment reading Karlo's (nephew of bestfriend JennyL and brother of my goddaughter Frances Marie) blog comics entries and this particular entry about a professional blogger meeting a non-blogging parent made me think that some people really don't understand that blogging can also be a profession. In this time and age with our economy diving down a bit I can say that blogging is a better alternative to low-paying jobs because blogging is a combination of enjoying youself, enhancing your skills in writing and in whatever is the theme of your blog and at the same time earning enough money for a decent living.

Have a chance to read and enjoy more of his entries at

Europe's Dream Vacation

Are you dreaming about a European vacation package? Well, my cousin is crazy about it. She’s been saving half of her salaries for her dream vacation in Europe. She likes to travel and every time she took a break from her work and hectic schedule she book for an overnight hotel stay in one of our country’s tourist spots like Boracay and Bohol. She’s been like that and she can afford it because she’s single and has no restrictions from her family.

Lately during our conversation about my bestfriend’s vacation in Australia she told me that her savings might be enough for the grand vacation in Europe. We went online to look for the best places and accommodations for her plan. We found
easytobook.com site and to our heart’s delight the site has a comprehensive lists of hotels and accommodation packages that’s right for her budget.

She immediately picked London and why? Because London has an array of world class entertainment and business facilities and she wants to see Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and some other destinations. She wanted to have a relaxed and hassle-free stay at some of the best London hotels there. Next destination is of course Rome because that cousin of mine loves to explore deep into the ruins of the early European culture as you know Rome has been the cradle of civilization and my cousin was so excited at the thought. She’ll be staying in one of the Rome hotels to be there for a couple of days. Yes around one week to fully round up the place and to visit the world famous paintings of world-renowned artists and of course to smell the romantic scent of Rome.

She asked if I’ll be with her where would I want to travel aside from her destination cities I told her maybe I’d like to go to Spain and book to some nice Barcelona hotels there particularly the Hotel Condal Barcelona which is located in one of the loveliest streets in City Centre. I want to go there because I want to see where my dear godmother Glory has lived in the past years. My godmother Glory married a sweet loving Spanish but after some years she died unexpectedly after she was diagnosed to have a stage 3 cancer. I missed her so much that I want to see the land where she lived half of her life. She was my father’s best friend and been so good and caring to me when I was a child.

Ruth Assists The Graduates!

Early morning I accompanied Ruth to their meeting place - in their school but when we arrived there before 7am we discovered that we're the first to arrive there. I was wondering why the other 9 girl scouts weren't there, I was asking Ruth if she got the time right when someone waved to us, her teacher. Teacher Fely told us that graduation is really 8am and the reason why they told the students that they should be there at 7am was for them to be prepared early, anyway can't take the hours back now. She told me to leave Ruth to her so I can go to office and not is late, she's really nice.

My daughter and 9 other girl scouts will assist in the graduation rites of the grade six students; they will handle small things but nevertheless will be of much help to their teachers in a small little way. I saw Ruth's excitement in the coming activities so I let her volunteered to be one of the group. She woke up and dressed early. I just made sure that she has eaten her breakfast well and we went to school. I backed her up when her daddy asked why she will go when there are others who are a lot older than her. I told him Ruth wanted to experience being an assistant in a grand activity in her school so I let her commit herself. I even talked to my friend Annie, mommy of her classmate to look after Ruth and she volunteered her husband to bring her home. Annie was a co-PTA officer for four years and we became good friends ever since so we help each other on whatever way we can. Good friends are really dependable, thanks Annie!

Ruth was very happy telling me what happened when I called her from my office, she was very excited when she told me what they did, watched and ate. I'm glad I let her participate in school activity and made her happy!

A Little Change In My Blog's Look

Hmm finally had a chance to change my header and some pics here, not a big change but a change nevertheless, I've picked a nice homey atmosphere of a cute house near a river. Water scenery puts some relaxation on my mind whenever I see one in picture or in real life, I remember going to the beach very early in the morning to see the ocean change its colors from dawn up to the point when the sun shines on the water so brightly. The house reflects my preferences in life with God as the center of my life and family as my next priority after God. It's where my heart and life revolves into and the reason for my living.

Grand Old Piano And My Father

Know how old this piano is? I'll let you count... My father bought this old piano way back 1952 and when I was a child I always heard him telling us it's an American grand old piano. My father didn't enrolled in a music school or trained in some tutorial lesson but he studied playing piano by himself, though he's not a professional one he can make himself happy that he can play it.
Because of old age the piano lost it's nice tune and somewhat looked rundown especially when the owner passed away. It only served as an ornament and a stand for my graduation picture frame for the past decades until my brother (also a music lover) enrolled his kids in piano classes. Even if they have a modern piano he still find it his duty to restore our old piano. It was hard bringing it down the house and it took 5 people to carry it, some of the most heavy parts were separated.
After two weeks it was returned to its old radiance and beauty. My brother spent P25k just to restore it back but the it's worth it as it also restored many sweet and memorable moments of our life with our father when he was still alive. Everytime I see it in my brother's house I felt something good inside me and it's like my father was beside in that old piano chair teaching how to put my fingers on it. I miss him.

Donate A Boat

Did you ever realize how lucky you are that you have a nice shelter and a complete family to help you get through life’s journey? Well, you should be thankful that you didn’t suffer the agony of being orphaned, homeless and delinquent. We’re so blessed with many things that others were deprived of so we should share some of our blessings in life. Some people endowed with a lot of fortune spend their lives by sharing part of their riches to charitable organizations.

We should find time and ways in sharing love to our less fortunate brothers. If you want to help by other means instead of cash money you could donate a boat. Boatangel accepts different kinds of boat donations like fishing boat, cabin cruiser boat, bowrider boat, ski boat, sailboat and many other kinds of boat. They’re encouraging people with used boat to donate for a cause so they can have the money for creating and distributing children’s animation DVDs. This is a unique and brilliant idea of raising funds to help orphans, homeless, single moms, teen and adult rehab and prison reforms. Boat to donate project of this site is a great help especially those with drug dependency, have also seen from this site some very nice documentary about drugs and those people who got hooked on drugs and survived addiction.
